I was at the store with my daughter, a freshman at University of Northern Iowa, so she could obtain books for classes. We arrived just before closing, but the staff was still plenty helpful with us. All of her books were located by the staff. I thank the staff for a nice first experience.

I love the different UNI stuff they have. I wish they would have larger sizes than XXX in some things. Larger sizes are available online but would be nice to have some in store to make sure of what size is needed.

I purchased a shirt online for 19.99. The following day I got a voice mail from one of their managers, Heather, stating that the shirt was out of stock (a lie). I returned the phone call a few hours later and asked why it said (and continued to say) that the shirt was in stock online. The employee offered to go look for it and she found it but it was priced at 31.99 in the store so that is why they cancelled my order. I told her I didnt think that cancelling my order because of their error was right to do. It wasnt my fault the shirt was priced wrong online and I would like the shirt for the price I purchased it for. She said her manager would not allow that. I talked to the manager and I had to convince her to do the right thing and sell the shirt to me for the price I paid. It took far too long for her to understand that she should sell the shirt for the price I paid for it online.Their service is awful, they are apparently comfortable lying to their customers and need to have it explained to them how to treat their customers. During the Christmas season they also cancelled a family members order on Christmas Eve! That was the first notice they got even after ordering it weeks before. What a joke, Ill take my business elsewhere from now on.

This place is pretty nice and has just about anything you could need. With that being said, a great deal of merchandise is overpriced. I suggest buying most of your books on Amazon instead. One of the best things they have is actually their clothing area, with several unique Northern Iowa t-shirts. You should check out their other Northern Iowa gifts as well. I also have a cousin who worked here.

Glad the university bought it, and students can charge books to their account. Only 4 stars because why TF would I need to PAY for metered parking when I am purchasing hundreds of dollars worth of books on ORIENTATION DAY (not during the semester), on top of the tuition, and you want me to pay for parking so I am able to go inside and have the *pleasure* of spending a bunch more money?!?!

The bad thing about the bookstore is that there is this particular melting plastic smell when you enter from the front doors. It gradually goes away the deeper you venture in, but it can be a strong experience. Sometimes the restroom might not be clean since it is a college environment. Yet; the atmosphere of the place, the customer service, and many items can be rewarding. However, be aware in the beginning of the semester it can become crowded downstairs with students looking for books required for class. I recommend either to order books from their website or pick up from the store directly. There is also book selling days where you can return or sell books from December 3-8th & 10-15th.

Very friendly staff. I love that you can mail items at the little postage stand, which is open even on weekends and has much longer hours than the post office. The store has many interesting items, from educational supplies, kid-friendly gifts, apparel, jewelry and gadgets. I love coming there.

Called Dave to order some 20 page booklets that I was out of. He asked when I needed them. I jokingly said 10 minutes.A couple hours later, they were completed and delivered!! Amazing!

Great service every time I go. I recall their text books being more highly priced than online, but I always bought there because they were so helpful and everything was well-organized. Their gifts and logo-products are also highly priced, but their products are quality.

Do not make the mistake in thinking that University Book and Supply has the best prices. Doing business with them will result in wasted money and time. Better deals on textbooks and other supplies are EASY to find on reputable places online, like on Amazon. I have saved hundreds just by buying through Amazon vs. University Book and Supply. Take my advice and avoid them like the plague!

This place completely screws you over every time. I went to return a book in the same condition that I got it and they didnt take it and charged me an extra $125 for it.

Super expensive for everything. Even during sales, their prices are still too high. Staff is usually pretty nice but overall too expensive for Panther gear. Youre better off attending a UNI sports event to win some clothing and other prizes.

Overpriced books, just other them off of Amazon or other websites. They do have uni gear though like clothes, coffee mugs, etc though if you need that.

Kind of interesting to be here as a non student. Everything was very expensive and the staff was... Well.... A bunch of college students. Some were very friendly, others far from it; very mixed bag.

I enjoyed the convenience of having the postal location there but feel the merchandise for the rest bcc of the store is over priced for a college bookstore by at least 15%.. From now on wait for major sales or shop with deals only.

Looked for a textbook in there. They didnt have it. Said they could order it for $97. I found the same textbook on Amazon, used, for $5 (Im not kidding). I even got free 2-day shipping on it.

The prices on their texts books are super high. Your much better off buying on online. And dont expect them to buy books back at the end of the semester. Ive bought plenty of new text books from them at the beginning of the semester only to turn around and be told that my book is out of date at the end of the semester when I tired to sell them back. What really pisses me off is that they only offered to buy them for a dollar each! It is unreasonable that they expect poor college students to pay an arm and a leg for books!
