I inherited a 20 year old Porsche Boxster and had no idea of its condition. I brought it in to Fred on a Monday morning and asked him to check it out. He told me I would need to leave it for couple of days. He called me two days later as promised and gave me a full and fair estimate and told me I would have the car by Friday. He called late Thursday and said it would be ready at noon the next day. Everthing was delivered as promised and was even shown the parts that were replaced. I will definitely continue to have my car serviced here.

I recently purchased a Mini Cooper on line and discovered an oil leak shortly after delivery. After BMW of Palm Springs told me they do nothing on Mini’s other oil changes,etc., I called International Motors. I have two older cars that have required major repairs. This includes transmission and body work. Shaun and associate Fred have done a fantastic job keeping both cars on the road the last four years. I would not take may cars anywhere else. Only once did a repair need additional work. They took the car back and fixed it no charge and guaranteed the work. Once, while waiting a few minutes in the office, I saw Shaun stocking hard to find parts for older cars. He does this so the parts are available to repair older cars when needed. He has always done an excellent repair job for me and at a fair price. This is very hard to find today. He listens to you when you describe what needs to be done with your car. He trouble shoots the problem and solves it. I feel that I always get more than what I have paid for! They have found, and with my approval, fixed problems I did not know about. Thank goodness for this and my safety!

This is a wonderful place. Was in the area for about three months and needed to get my BMW X5 looked at. The initial inspection was done quickly. They clearly explained to me what they had found and provided detailed explanations for what fixes they recommended. They even explained which repairs they could do for me, but they didnt feel were necessary (my axle pads definitely needed replacing, but they felt it was ok to hold off on a new gasket). They were also quite friendly and the service was fast (in and out in 3 days for some decently hefty axle repairs). I only wish they were located in Chicago so I could make them my regular mechanic!

This shop try to charge me $380 just to check my vehicle not even at the Audi Dealership they charge that much I wouldn’t recommend anyone going there the old man that work there is so shady zero stars completely waste of time

From start to finish, this may have been one of the easiest processes I’ve encountered with mechanics and we know how rare that can be at times. Needless to say, this establishment has gained a new client.

My car needed a tire replaced after running over debris in the road, and I had a few days, so I found this reputable shop to install an inexpensive temporary tire to get me home to San Francisco. Its a pleasant spot, and the staff quiet, but friendly. There was a days delay because they seemed to not have my phone number correctly. I was surprised that a torque wrench wasnt used to tighten the wheel bolts, and later, I had to use a degreaser to remove some stuff from the wheel. I also had to add 10 psi worth of air to the tire at a gas station, but overall, the price was right, and there have been no other issues in the week since. As an unknown walk-up customer, I appreciated the relatively prompt service, and my objective was met.

I called to inquire about damaged suspension on my BMW X3. The man who picked up explained about the price for initial diagnosis. Being new to Palm Springs, I mentioned we found 2 places that would do a surface level inspection for free and if he would kindly consider that. Instead of professionally saying “no, we cannot offer that at this time” he said “well then go there then!” I am so shocked at how rude he was. I can only imagine the level of professionalism the rest of this shop offers if there is no proper customer service or professionalism at the first step. Disgusting!

I brought my BMW M6 to Sean after another garage had been unable to solve a ‘limp mode’ issue. At first, he was reluctant to take on my car due to his busy schedule. Ultimately he did agree to, fortunately for me. They identified the issue quickly and fixed the car in short order. I cannot say enough good things about International Motors and give them the highest recommendation.

Transmission kept shifting into Park when stopped. Ended up needing the battery replaced because of low voltage to the engine and Transmission. Got it done quickly, price was reasonable and service experience very professional. Thanks.

I liked both Sean and Fred immediately- all I needed was a new key for my 2010 Mini Cooper. These keys are very hard to get and the web is not reliable. International Motors took great care of me in less than a day at a competitive price. We have just moved to Rancho Mirage and these guys are terrific.

An alert came over my phone “ Critical -low coolant”.Not knowing what to do, but remembering the spots on the garage floor, i suspected a leak. Looked up “Mini Repairs” on Google and called three repair shop listed. Sean at INTERNATIONAL MOTORS was the only one who told me NOT to drive it but to have it towed. The next morning they called with an estimate, I approved the amount and had my car back late afternoon. INTERNATIONAL MOTORS know what they are doing, have superb mechanics and they give the customer a feeling of confidence. They are now my go-to place for all things Mini.

International Motors did an excellent job servicing and repairing my 2016 A6 audi .I spoke first with Sean and then I dealt the Fred and the rest of the team -real excellent and professional.The work was completely in a timely manner and I was very VERY happy to pay the invoice which was well under what I had expected.I can’t say enough good things about this superb team!

Excellent customer service glad I went there

I brought the car in because it was smoking from the exhaust Mini Cooper S 2011 9 months ago and it had stalled. I had already had repairs for the exhaust elsewhere, but still having problems. International Motors did a diagnostic on the car and told me there was nothing wrong with the car(lol) charging me $200.00 more for a diagnostic test & to take out my battery(what!) that it simply needed a battery with more power(their battery $335.00 or they wouldnt approve their non-diagnosis, lol.) I usually use a battery that cost $150 twice before & Mini company said it was fine to do so and I have no problems. Get at least 2 1/2 years out of both batteries. 9 months later my battery is dead(car stalled again, twice and will not jump start. they also offer in warranty of free jump start but they will not even come and try to) they do not want to replace it theyre being very rude. The warranty says within a year they will replace it free now theyre trying to tell me they dont know if thats the battery is the problem although when I took it to him with the same problem 9 months ago because my battery was acting up they told me it was nothing wrong with the car and it was just the battery, now theyre changing their tune not complying with their warranty. Trying to rip me off again. I told him that I simply want to come in with the battery and replace the battery and part ways on good terms and he will not he wants me to leave the car for a day or more and go to the whole diagnostic again to try to make more money off me and rip me off again. he then hung up on me because I just simply want my battery replaced and want to take my car somewhere else. So he isnt going to stick to his warranty and Im sure hell make up some kind of excuse to my review as it seems to be what he does if you dont give him what he wants. Fraud, rip off. Mini Cooper also told me the battery I was using first was fine he tried to tell me no you have to use his more expensive battery and obviously the battery was never the problem because when I took that other battery back to the store they said it was still charged and holding the charge and that they would not give me my money so international Motors is just fraudulent and Greedy and they want to rip you off please do not take your car here!!! if you dont give them what they want let them take your money and praise them as they rip you off they become really rude and they do not stick to their warranty in any way good or bad!!!! After I posted this review they decided after a talking a couple different times to replace the battery that they didnt want to(remember, warranty said the would, so...) but if I hadnt posted this, they wouldnt of went through with complying with their warranty. I will never come back here and the post is accurate and true so I will not remove it. Im sure as you see on the other posts when people are telling their awful experience they will respond trying to clarify and defend their bad behavior. Sean has to be by far one of the most professional business owners that i have had the pleasure to work with. I have had multiple vehicles worked on over the years and I have never had an issue with any of the vehicles worked on with no reason to call back other than to thank Sean.

Theyve replaced tires for me and facilitated repairs on a needed tire replacement. Very professional. Even got a follow-up call from Fred. MyAudi SQ5 is just now out of warranty; Ill use International Motors as my neighborhood shop.

My wife and I have been taking our cars to International Motors since we moved to Rancho Mirage 6 years ago. I have a 2004 Porsche Cayenne S with 221,000 miles and love this SUV. Im a practicing DIYer, and recently decided to replace the valve covers since oil was leaking on the exhaust manifold. During the process I dropped the L side valve cover on the cam and bent a fragile extruding pin that provides timing to the ECU. Porsche and other sources said it couldnt be repaired, that a camshaft replacement was necessary. This cam replacement, or an engine replacement, costs from $3k to $9k.Sean Zarrinkouh explained that they have a full machine shop and could likely repair the damage, instead of replacing the cam or engine. No brainer decision.A day went by and Sean called me up asking to pick up the SUV. He said they fabricated a custom tool to realign the camshaft pin exactly like factory stock. So I just picked it up, and the SUV idles and accellerates perfectly! His invoice was a fraction of the camshaft replacement, and I feel like I just dodged a bullet!My ego has taken a hit by causing this problem, but am so happy that International Motors bailed me out. Thank you Sean and your creative, talented mechanics that work for you!

Sean is great value for money and have all 3 of my cars looked after by him and his team. I have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee, a 1967 Jaguar Mk2 (that Sean restored for me from a bare metal respray) and a 1967 dodge Coronet 500. They may not be the cheapest, but having had other garages look at my cars, you get what you pay for, so Id say that they are great value.

Have a 2003 mercedes clk320. Had 3 codes and charged $340.00 for diagnosis. Cleared the codes and replaced a $ 39.00 brake switch.Charged a further $170.00 labor. Total bill w/ tax $555.00!!!!!!!Check around people Im a pensioner and have owned a repair shop in the past. Normally would charge 1 hr labor for diagnosis. $170.00 to change a brake switch, must have thought I was dumb!!

International motors are the most genuine and authentic mechanics one could find these days. I was over 200 miles away and he still walked me through everything and the diagnosis of my car without even needing me present since I had to get the vehicle towed back. They were so helpful and really took the time to explain what was going on. They are both friendly and professional. Sean is a pleasure to work with, he stands behind his work, and I look forward to being a repeat customer for service for my vehicle.

I still think 50 bucks to pressure-test a radiator (a five-minute job) was a bit excessive, though theyd take it off the final bill. I found the radiator for 300$, they wanted to charge about $500. By saving me 200$ off the dealers labor/parts price of $1,100, they appeared to a good deal. But the $900 quote cant match the $450 I paid for part and installation with my neighborhood shop where I bring in my own part. These guys are knowledgeable and courteous but too expensive, better than the dealer perhaps but not better for the car owner who has other options.

The guy there is very rude and not educated at all. Took my car in and said I was wasting his time for troubleshooting. Dude!! I am going to pay you for your service, just troubleshoot and provide your findings. They are not cheap either. Do not take your car in International Motors, Cathedral City. I would rather pay dealer prices, they treat you like a customer. And last but not least, my problem was not resolved. Stay away!!!!
