This is barely a butchers shop. 10 dollar Ribeyes and New Yorks too small for my dog were ALL the steaks they had. Looked like they had been there for hours and I got there an hour and a half after they opened. Awful.
Excellent quality meat. Weve tried all of the Korean BBQ meats and Shabu Shabu cuts as well. The meat is well marbled with good flavor and consistent thickness. Weve had great bacon, house made sausage, steak, and chicken from here as well with great success. Super thankful to have a quality go-to butcher in the neighborhood. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Also, really happy to have this place stocking Asian pantry staples so I dont have to trek out to Dublin or Oakland to get kimchi, masago, soft tofu, Shabu sauce and more.Ive received so many compliments on my cooking when I pick up meat from here, and Im pretty sure its the quality of the ingredients that is upping my culinary game. Weve chatted with the owner before who was super attentive to hearing what other ingredients wed like to see stocked here. Hoping to see more Asian vegetables in the future!
Yes yes, the kbbq meat is excellent... but this is about their shabu shabu meat. They have both fatty & lean cuts, sliced perfectly thin for hot pot. Great selection, great marbling, all at excellent prices. Im coming here from now on! No more driving to Nijiya across the bay (still love you Nijiya).Heads up though, hours are 11 - 6, closed Sunday.
