Front desk people were GREAT! Waxer, not so much. I was intended to get a Brazilian. She literally told me that the wax she had given me was “not her best wax.” She burned me and I had told her my skin was sensitive various times. The way she ripped the wax wasn’t smooth at all, she did it slowly causing me much more pain. She also left chunks of wax on me that I had to rip off when I got home. Terrible experience overall. Never going back there, would not recommend to ANYONE.

I use to get my brows done here and it was good. This experience was the worst of my eyebrows history. My eyebrows were super thin after she didn’t even keep my original shape. Not coming back ever

This place has bad service. If you want to risk it go ahead.I am pretty upset because I was SO LOOKING FORWARD to getting my eyebrows done by this place. I thought this was going to be a professional place that would have quality work. After waiting outside for the so called Wax Specialist I went into the room and she asked if it was a clean up or reshapping. I asked for her opinion and then she basically said what I had was good. I went with what she said. She starts waxing and I thought everything was going well. She barely tweezed anything but I thought this was because there was barely any hair left from the wax. When she finally showed me what it looked like with a mirror I was so disatisfied. I asked if she could remove all the hair on upper lip and eyebrows. She said they were buried under skin (I am tweezing right now with my own tweezer). Then, she said she was done. I was like wait what about make-up fill in for eyebrows? she said because of covid we are no longer doing make-up fill-ins. I was like wait you want me to pay $26 for eyebrows without the tweezing and no make up? She said ya same price. She walked me out and the front desk asked HOW WAS MY SERVICES? the front desk tell me they are still doing make-up fill in and she doesnt know why she (the specialist ) was saying this. I got this compted but who wants to waiste their time in a place thats not going to do the job they are promoting? Anyways if you want to get your eyebrows done right do not go here. Anything facial because you do not want to be left with whiskers either. :(

I love my waxier. My old waxier is on hiatus so I have been seeing Monica and boy is she good. She answers all of your questions, she is very informative and will advise you the products needed to keep your skin as its best. Monica is very friendly and we have a great time. It makes you feel at ease when someone with compassion and knowledge is waxing you. Also, she makes is painless as possible. I would recommend Monica to anyone who wants a good waxier.

Ive been going for years and I love it. I would never go back to strip waxing. As someone with sensitive skin, they use good products that keep me from breaking out. Love hard wax.

I love this location everyone is Amazing from the front desk ladies to the waxers!! I have been waxing here for 4-5 years now and Ive never had a bad experience. Ive been seeing Courtney for a while now and she is so sweet and takes her time to explain things to you she make you feel comfortable. I thought she was amazing so I started having my daughter get waxed by her. She loves her too! One day Courtney had no availability so we ended up with Cecilia and let me tell you, she was super sweet as well, very personable and makes you feel at ease! Everyone is very professional with signing me in and reminding me of my upcoming appointments. They are also very accommodating for any appointment changes I need to make. I only get waxed by EMILY, and she is amazing! She is so sweet and always does a great job!

I have been to many waxing salons in SF, East Bay and LA area and there is no doubt that European Wax and their proprietary wax/process is by far the best experience I have had when it comes to waxing, especially in sensitive areas as the bikini and under arms. It is extremely gentle and the folks that work there are so professional. It is the only place I will go now.

Well .... I don’t go late anywhere or for any interview . When Julie called me booked me for interview she didn’t said me address .So I search on google said her this one address right ? Then her answer on that we moved to different location ..I said ohh ok can you give me address she said she don’t know address can anyone believe this ..?Then she give me massage envy address telling we are next to massage envy .So long story short I was 2 min for finding exact locations since it was not correct . When I reach there person at reception said she don’t take late interview she has another caddinate she is taking her . I said her ok I can wait if it’s ok, on that she said reschedule .Really 2 min is late . Anywhere in the world wherever you go they give 5 min window for anything . I was driving from 30 mile . I got late because of address miscommunication .I feel it’s not fair with anybody just wanted to let know what’s happening .Please beware of this place

I had my worst first experience here, she was very quick and never let me know she was staring, it was very off guard.. after I was done, it was still a lot of hair left and it wasn’t a good job at all. So I would not recommend this place.

I certainly prefer to wax vs. shave but the cost became prohibitive. EWC provides great customer service but after a few years of paying hundreds of dollars, I decided to quit waxing.

I was really nervous about getting waxed because I had never done it before. My appointment was with Deborah and she made me feel comfortable -- halfway through I forgot I was even getting waxed! She was trying to help me with my nervousness and she did. Im booked my next appointment 4 weeks from now! I wouldnt go anywhere else :)

They are polite. Walk you through the process. Treat you with dignity and respect. For a first time experience I was very comfortable.

Great waxers! If youre going at a busy shopping time leave at least 10 extra minutes for parking - Ive had to cancel my appointment twice in the last 6 months because I wasnt able to park in time.

Update: I was incredibly impressed by the very genuine and quick response I received from Natalie, the manager of this center. She was professional, understanding and eager to both better understand what happened and help find a workable solution. In the service industry things happen, I understand when dealing with hot wax there will be times its too hot and I was just the unfortunate person on the receiving end of that hot batch (also needed to speak up sooner and question the temp). Im healed and its not the end of the world, but most importantly Natalie displayed the qualities of a truly professional manager within the customer service industry and her actions alone prove to me this was an isolated, though unfortunate, incident that might not be indicative of the branch as a whole. How managers handle situations like this say a lot about a business and Natalie handled the situation incredibly well.Original post: Inconsistent. I have walked away with patches of hair on one occasion as the “wax specialist” went over the same spot too many times without success and still couldn’t get the hair up and this past time I was severely burned by the wax. You need to speak up and be proactive as a customer.

I love the Castro Valley EWC. The front staff are always very welcoming and knowledgeable. I have several waxers there (Emily, Dana & Stacey) and I trust in their work for making my was services as painless as possible.

This was my first experience of the European Wax. It was great, and the man who did my wax was very gentle and kind. He talked me through everything and made sure that I was comfortable.

Ive been going to this place for the past two years and this time everyone been very professional, the place is very clean even the bathroom, and overall the staff is great!

First off, the receptionist are rude and lack respect. Especially one named Justuce, constantly talking down to people instead of doing her job. My first time here I decided to have them wax my eyebrows, the wax specialist did not use product and did not care about the wax temperature. I ended up with slight burns and broke out because of the negligence. The waxers are only focused on your tip and their times to finish, unfortunately you wont find any good recommendations here anymore. All the GOOD waxers left. The manager Nathalie never attempted to address this issue. I would strongly recommend a different location.
