I have bought 2 different bikes from Trek Bicycle in Cary (Mountain and a Road bike). This was after visiting a ton of different other “local” shops. Customer service that Trek employees provided was absolutely amazing. Not only they got me the best bike for me, but for my road bike, shopped it from Arizona, shipped it in, which they clearly didn’t have to go the extra mile (this is when every one was clamoring for bikes).The 5 star is not just for the sell side interactions, but I have taken my bikes in a couple of times for servicing and they have been absolutely accommodating and quick to address the issues. These guys might be part of a multinational conglomerate but they clearly operate like a mom and pop local shop. Go check them out
Recently purchased a Trek Electra Townie Path 9D stepthru & love it. Matt took his time to help me get set up, explaining all components & how to adjust, etc. He recommended some accessories which I really like on my bike👍🏻.His Customer Service was excellent.I went back this week for a bike rack installation & everyone in the store was very helpful & friendly.I highly recommend this company & this particular store location to everyone.
Had a great customer experience with Jamie today at Trek Cary. I live in Wake Forest but I was nearby getting ready to ride my gravel bike on the American Tobacco Trail. Much to my dismay, as I got on the bike I found my front (tubeless) tire flat. There didn’t appear to be any issue with the tire, but the sealant didn’t resolve the issue. I ran it over to Trek Cary and explained my situation. Jamie stepped up big time for me. Within 2 minutes, he determined it was a valve issue, and within another 2 minutes he had fixed the issue. On top of that, he didn’t even charge me for his work. About 20 minutes later, I was back on the trail getting my ride in! Thank you, Jamie! Much appreciated!
I just picked up my E7 Equinox triathlon bike from service. I replaced the tires, tubes, chain, and rear cassette. My bike was returned to me like a brand new bike! The shine and sparkle on my bike was amazing. Ive ridden it the past two mornings since picking it up and have posted some of my fastest bike splits all summer. Thanks, Trek Bicycle Cary, for the exceptional service! Im a fan for life. Thats why I own three Trek bikes (triathlon, fitness hybrid, and mountain).
Top notch service. The work on my bike for a Level 2 service transformed my bike-as if it was brand new! Very friendly to work with-in fact they even remembered my name when I walked in the door-that was impressive!
I’m getting back into mountain biking, after several years. I was always a novice. So I bought a trek, marlin 8 here recently. Had to drive very far to do so. The sales person was very helpful, and very friendly. But I got on the trail and realized that the indexing on the rear derailleur is out of wack. Also after doing a bit of research, I realized the sag on the forks was around 60% for me, which has led me to feel pretty unstable on the trail. I did ask for some kind of fitting as well, and was told they don’t do that. Luckily, I’m keen to learn some bike maintenance. But I did leave this store with a new bike that was not trail ready, which has left me a little disappointed.
Great team and super patient with all of our questions. Everyone was very informative and went beyond the usual with their customer service. The bike felt amazing and I felt confident riding it around the neighborhood nearby since they explained what made a good fit and went over the gear changing for me (twice). They let me test ride it for as long as I wanted. Quick with my last minute asks of adding a kickstand and a water bottle holder. great tips for beginner routes. They are very dog friendly! Awesome color options!! Love my purple abyss bike!
I needed some advice on how to adjust my Trek for a more comfortable rising setup. The staff at Trek make some excellent recommendations which they implemented. They really know bicycles! My riding experience is instantly better. Great people. Great service.
I live in Virginia and found the bike I wanted at your store in Cary. I called and spoke with Hunter who said she would set the bike aside for me and let me know when it was built. She called me back and arranged for me to pick up my bike late Saturday afternoon. When I arrived, she was ready to assist me and made my purchase of a bicycle a most pleasant experience. Just came back from the store. Had a problem in rear shifting, went to my default bike store they were too busy just said cable needs change and we have no time. I got really nervous in after a day I will be riding 70miles in the mountains on blue ridge parkway.Jamie was so welcoming, even though they didn’t have appointments he took a look at my bike . Spent good 15mins on it and reassured me that shifting cable doesn’t need changing. Adjusted my shifting, as a bonus adjusted my brakes to what they should be. Jamie was my hero for the day . Now brakes and shifting both in good place and my mind is at peace, I would definitely pay these guys a visit after my ride to get my bike serviced .
Hubby and I stopped in yesterday to buy a lot of new gear for my ebike. The employees were great! Knowledgeable and helpful.

Stopped by the store after doing some research on the Trek website. Im a tall guy so wanted a bike that would have a comfortable frame size for me. The team in the store was very helpful and happened to have one of the models I was looking at available in store. They were great at answering questions, but provided a low pressure environment. Low inventory everywhere made it difficult to cross shop, but Ive been enjoying the new bike and can almost keep up with the kids!
Though I didnt buy a bike there the salespeople were very professional and knowledgeable. In the future I hope to return off Trek develops a bike that fits my needs. Keep up the good work employees!
I’ve had my son’s bike serviced here a few times and it has always been a good experience. This time I came on a Saturday afternoon and while they had a few other customers I was helped right away at the service counter. They were able to find the issue and fix it right there. I was in and out in about 15 minutes

The entire staff was patient and helpful. They answered all my questions and offered some answers to questions I hadnt thought to ask. I just had to explain my goal and they got me to where I wanted to be! Even stayed late when I was delayed on the pick up. Couldnt recommend them more! Im looking forward to going back for services and future purchases.

I took my old Canondale bike to Trek to get service and repairs. The service tech, Kat was very helpful in guiding me through the areas that needed attention. They were able to get the parts and make the repairs/overhaul in just a few days. My bike is now better than new! Great job!
After buying my first MTB, a Trek 6000, from the same store 10 plus years ago, I visited the store again a couple of weeks ago to test ride the new Trek ebikes and Ryan went over the different ebike models in the system and we discussed features, etc.Then I did more research on other models and colors and I called to see how fast these certain models can be ordered, however the next shipments were for Feb/Mar next year. Therefore, I settled on another brand and specific model that I received within a week.I was able to drop the ebike-in-a-box the same day for final assembly/tuning and it was ready for pick-up the next day.Later I swung by to checkout the latest helmets and Matt helped me a lot to find the right technology(WaveCell), models(Specter or Circuit) and size for me. We also went over the different lighting and MIK rack attachment options.Im riding again daily and the people at the Trek Cary store have been instrumental in getting me back in the saddle after 10 plus years.

I came into the store on a Tuesday afternoon close to closing time to retrieve a wheel I had brought in the previous (Monday) afternoon for a spoke replacement and a wheel re-true. The repair wasnt ready yet and the work had apparently been scheduled for a Wednesday completion instead of to be ready by close-of-business Tuesday. Since I was already at the store however, the bike tech moved up my work and took care of the repair right there inside of 30 minutes before store closing. I appreciated the expedited work -- thanks much!
I couldnt have been happier with my experience! Jamie was great at handling my initial visit and then I was handed off to Bo (not sure of spelling) who set up my bike and made sure I was ready to go. The service was great, the price point was terrific, and Ill be happy to keep giving them my business.
This place is open all week, Sundays included. The folks there were very helpful in getting my grandsons bike repaired. We had great customer service from everyone there. The bike was ready to go the very next day!

The Trek Cary team is excellent. They are very helpful and knowledgeable. They communicate and follow up when they say they will. Their bikes are exceptional. I have had one for 20 years that is still in great shape. I just got a new e-bike to help me overcome my knee and hip arthritis - total game changer! The new bike is as beautiful as it is well-crafted and rideable. I am especially grateful for the extra effort the team made recently. The new bike was a Christmas present and the team worked so hard to find exactly what I wanted and get it delivered in time even tho there is world-wide bike shortage and the first one that arrived was destroyed in shipment. They went far, far beyond what most shops would do to help you find a bike you love and move mountains to get it to you on time. I cant say enough good things about them.

Nathan Gregory and his team are warm, professional, and skilled. I called him after experiencing another frustrating and unsuccessful tune up from All Star Bicycle in Cary this week. (All Stars tune up left my Trek 1993 950 [black] with very limited/broken shifting.) As I watched, Nathan correct several mistakes made by All Star Bicycle. It took him just minutes to make the corrections. I am ending 10 years of frustrating experiences from All Star in Cary. Skip delays, unprofessionalism, and lack of skills from All Star in Cary. Trek Bicycle in Cary has my business now. Everyone should go to Trek Bicycle in Cary.
I always go to Trek Cary even though I own two Specialized bikes. Trek team takes good care of my needs and provides excellent service. Mackenzie is knowledgeable and is very patient while responding to questions. Rest of the members at Trek Cary are always full of energy and ready to help if needed.

I had a broken spoke that was fixed and wheel trued and then a few weeks later noticed that it was out of true again. When I took it back in they pointed out that I had broken another spoke (which my son reminded me about an earlier stick that was shot out on the last ride). The Trek store a Cary took it back right a way and fixed it in 15 minutes and when I asked what I owe, they said On the house. So appreciate these guys going above and beyond.
Very nice and professional staff.. Prior I went shopping for a bike for my son at another bike shop in town and was met at the door.. The staff wanted to know what I was looking for... He would only bring the bikes he thought I would be interested in outside in favor of letting me in his store to look at his inventory, keep in mind it was also raining.. Apon arrival Trek Bicycle staff was completely different and was friendly and inviting, they offered in every way possible to earn my business and all it took is a bit of respect.. Great job!

Every time I go into Trek (1377 NW Maynard Road • Cary, NC 27513) I feel like Im walking in to get help from friends who know way more about a topic than I do. It feels like each team member I interact with is genuinely happy to see me and each person always provides great feedback to all my questions whether its specifically related to my bike, local trails, and greenways, or maintenance. Jamie and Bo particularly stand out. I wish people everywhere I went were this friendly! Ive spent quite a bit of money at Trek, and even encountered a few issues with orders overall - but its the people that work with me that keep me coming back and prevent me from canceling any particularly frustrating orders. Id much rather deal with (occasional) delays and really great customer service than go to some of the other bike shops in Cary/Raleigh were Ive been treated poorly or like I was lesser because I was just starting out and I happened to ask a lot of questions. If youre in need of a bike, theres only one place in Cary Ill recommend. And its because of the staff! 10/10
I came in to get a broken spoke replaced a couple weeks ago. When I went to pick it up the next day, they gave me the wrong wheel! When I brought it back, they took 15 minutes to finally find mine that they apparently lost. They then told me that my tube had a puncture and had to be replaced (Which was not the case when I brought it in). After another 10 mins or so they finally brought out my wheel and all seemed well. 2 weeks later my tube has a slow leak, I take it off to patch it, and find that they stretched a 27.5 in. tube over my 29 in. wheel! (which I assume is why the leak occured.) Im extremely disappointed and never expected such carelessness from a Trek store.

Hunter was amazing from the beginning. When I first went to the store, I immediately told her I was just looking and wasn’t interested in purchasing today but I did want to look at some different options and see what I had as an option. Two months later, I went in to purchase the Marlin 6 in a M and she let me get on a S and we realized I definitely didn’t need anything larger than that. So we ordered a Marlin 6 in a S with a date of Aug 2021 of when I would receive it. I actually got it in two weeks after because someone else backed out of theirs. They were able to let me ride it around the parking lot and had the seat and the brake placement adjusted. She even explained the warranty. She was incredible! I couldn’t recommend her enough!

From the start all of the staff were very helpful and responsive to calls and e-mails. They located a hard-to-find FX Sport 6, set it up and had it ready for pick up in short order. I live in Charlotte. ~150 miles away, but made the trip becasue of their good service.

I bought an expensive Trek e-bike here less than a year ago. I went a couple of days ago to get it serviced after 1600 miles of just commuting. The only reason I showed up was an occasional noise from the brakes and the Bosch computer wrench symbol indicating need for service after 2000km.However, I was presented with $500 worth of servicing, including changing the brake pads, flushing the hydraulic brakes, changing chain and cassette, and a $50 software upgrade for the Bosch engine (which Id gladly do myself if only it could be done independently). I complained and the people from the store were ready to send me a revised work order, but honestly I didnt like their approach as I felt I was being offered unnecessary services.I get it, the shop is very nice and clean; the personnel is kind and smiling. It all looks great. The bikes they sell are awesome and I wouldnt hesitate recommending them. I also totally understand that my bike has been used in this past year, and so I will need to change the chain/cassette/brake pads at some point.My issue is that I got the impression that this store will first try and get the customer to bite on less than urgent service, and only offer alternatives if the customer complains.And maybe Im just not in the target audience for this store, which seems to be ideal for the older gent with deep pockets whos very hands-off and happy to pay someone for the peace of mind of having a nice-looking bike collecting dust in the garage.Im also 30 minutes away by car, which is another reason why I wont be back here for regular servicing. I guess the fact that I bought the bike here didnt mean anything in the end.

My boyfriend purchased a fat tire bike here the other week. It was our first time in and we were greeted right away and made to feel really comfortable. The associate took time to explain the store to us and answered all of my boyfriends questions. (Hes picky and knows a lot about bikes so he asked a lot lol) we will definitely be back to purchase a bike for me and my niece.

The website which was my primary means of finding a bike with Trek was simple and easy to navigate. It made it easy to find what I liked and with in my price range. The staff was friendly and helpful.What stuck out to me the most was that within the time I was in the store for my purchase, multiple returning customers came in simply to talk with representatives and explore further services.

It has been years, since I was a kid to ride a bike, so you can see and imagine my first time buying my own bike was all over the place in my head. Spending the money on a bike that fit me right and making sure it was all in budget was really the main focus of my visit. Matt was awesome with helping me out and ensured I did not leave without feeling like I made the right choice. Thank you Matt for making me feel comfortable and helping me make a great decision on my new bike. Took it out for a spin on the ATT and loved it had a smile the entire time riding. They will not communicate delays to you at all. They will take your money promptly but expect you to wait indefinitely.
Great service!!! But I didnt like that I had to wait outside in the sun just to go into the shop when ever called upon. Once I went I to the shop, there were only 3 other customers inside.. so I was confused to why more customers could not come inside. Its pleanty big to practice social distancing even if there were 10 customers inside.

Awesome service! Did the full tune-up, they found an issue which the factory had to fix and they shipped it off to the factory at no cost to me and gave me a loaner (which was much nicer than mine) to boot. My bike is now in tip-top shape. Highly, highly recommend!
I came here to get bike helmets for my 2.5 year old twins. They both have very “unique” heads so I knew I didn’t want to buy just anything online.Jamie gave us the best customer service I could have imagined. She was so sweet and patient with my busy kids and took the time to explain fit and safety to me. We drove 30 mins to get to the store, only to wait 15 more mins outside while they let one person in at a time. I appreciate the safety precautions but the store is massive with no one in it. When it was our turn to go in, the guy questioned us at the door as to what we needed. We let him know we were looking for a bike we saw online, he looked at us and said he didn’t have any in our size and turned us away. We were never asked to see other brands, go inside to check out different styles, or even order one for us online. He just turned us away and didn’t let us in. The bike we were interested in buying was a $700 bike. In that price range I would expect better customer service. I realize were in a pandemic but there was plenty of room for social distancing and we had on masks. There’s no reason to be a gatekeeper and so rude. What a disappointment.

Went in today and met Matt for a bike fitting and bike purchase. Matt was very precise and he even noticed my cleats were out of position on my shoes. After the fitting we decided on the bike best for me and my riding goals. Matt was patient and answered ALL my questions with detailed answers. The staff has always been nice. They only have one brand though (guess which), and they dont really carry tools. Im finding it hard to support local bike stores. Everything is overpriced, and you have limited choice of products.
