If you are going to purchase fabric here you better know exactly what and how much you need and where it is in the store. I sit here with half the fabric I need for my project because the clerk did not listen to me. She was rude, in a hurry, and not at all willing to help the occasional or non-seamstress who goes in to purchase fabric for a project. The customers expect the sales people to be knowledgeable and to sell them the right amount of fabric for their projects with a smile on their face. Not happening at this Joann’s!

Always find good stuff on sale for my presents closet. Also found the perfect fabric on sale for a current project. Place is organized and staff is helpful.

A nice lady helped me with my search for a certain type of material,even though the didnt have what I exactly needed. She was very helpful and very understanding.

Left the store truly saddened. It is EMPTIER than ever. No more beautiful fabric to make your wedding guest dresses, no more linen, no brocades or silk. Its polartek and fleece in most aisles. Almost nothing left in the upholstery and curtains sector either. 2 years ago and before, it was a pleasure, a truly delightful trip to purchase all kinds of fabrics. No more...

Not happy that something was 20% couldnt take off 40% of retail instead of 20. Also no mask rule was enforced. A lady coughing in her hand then touching all the fabrics...SMH!

They have great options, my daughter just got her first sewing machine. Will be going back soon for some fabric and patterns.

Very easy to locate what I needed today. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Employees checking me out had a coughing fit and proceeded to pull her mask down to continue the coughing openly. She didnt bother to excuse herself nor did she sanitize afterwards. I didnt bother completing the purchase as there was visible spittle on the items I intended to purchase.Thankfully Michaels is across the street and they now carry yarn.

I called the store first to ask about monks cloth that I need for a specific project. When i called and asked my question a women responded and told me they had the fabric in stock there. Made the drive which is pretty far for me and turned out they didnt have it. Wish they wouldnt have wasted my time.

Really miss having a JoAnns store in Charlotte. Glad to be able to shop here in Raleigh. This is not their largest store in the area, but it was well stocked and plenty of staff to assist with cutting material or helping find wares. A very popular place as the store was very busy. Nice selection of fabrics and had plenty of good sales on select fabrics and notions.

This store was great. Super clean .... good variety. Staff was helpful and wonderful even though they were very busy today do to the great buts they had going on. I went there for a very specific stage container and left a very happy c as more. Ill differently be back.

Very clean and well organized, high quality fabrics. This is the best joanns I have ever visited and I am excited to go back! All employees and customers had masked, areas were routinely sanitized. Every question I had was answered. They had an amazing selection of quilting cottons and dress fabrics!

New Years Day very quiet.

I love the people that work here! They are always so nice and inspiring, and everytime I walk in for fabric they are genuinely intrigued on the projects that I have going on. I usually go towards the sewing stuff and every time Im lost looking for something every associate is VERY knowledgeable about my strange inquiries that I cant even explain sometimes to the point where they dont mess up the exact isles that I need to go to. They will even give that extra mile to take me themselves. The girls in the cutting are are the sweetest but so are the cash register guys and gals. I wish I could mention them all by names, but this staff overall is EXCEPTIONAL. Even the small talk I have on the way out while Im paying has me leaving the store with a smile on my face.

I can find all my tools and need for my crafts.

I always buy from the Joann chain of stores and nutcase I have had quiet but today because of falarmel material in the usual store where I buy I always had to come to the okra raleigh store and I was surprised when the girl who works there told me that You can cut 5 pieces of iguanas from a tell that only one piece is cut one length.extent take it well because the girl does her job and thats it but I was more surprised to see the change in prices how it can be the same franchise and different prices clm I can be the raleigh store so bad like that and the prices because more cats if it is the same material

The Joann store in Cary, NC is an awesome store with lots of papercrafting merchandise. Love the store and will try to visit it often.

Great selection of fabrics and other craft items similar to Michaels. Had some nice Christmas items already 50% off. Rated a three because you take a number to wait to get your fabric cut. I waited an HOUR, standing! Was ridiculous. They had two women putting fabric away vs. helping customers.

I don’t know what’s worse, ordering online from this store or shopping in person? Throw the whole store away. Shopped there many times for school and personal projects, the staff are unbearably rude. Very unwilling to help, filled the the brim with attitude and are just ready to go home. Its not just one instance, it seems like this is a daily occurrence for them. Aisles are messy and unkept. I can never find staff that are able to help out on the floor, only staff behind the counter or cash registers so if you need something unlocked or grabbed from a high shelf be prepared to wait until anyone is available. No one is socially distancing, aisles are tiny and everyone bogs them up, some places are just inaccessible especially around the fabric cutting counter unless you’re willing to put yourself at risk. That needs to be fixed ASAP!Online ordering is as horrendous. Items listed are not always in stock even if they say they are. It makes it impossible to order anything. Your orders will get canceled without a reason, email, or call. After getting a good coupon or sale, don’t get your hopes up, the order will be canceled, it will not be in stock, the next time you order the coupon or sale will not apply and you will not be able to pick it up curbside.Absolutely ridiculous. Disappointed and unimpressed but don’t expect anything to change. I see reviews similar to mine, nothing has changed since 🙃

Although Online was a Horrific experience (I left Corporate their own review), in store was a different story.The whole staff IN STORE at Joanns Fabrics were extremely helpful and cheerful. I especially appreciated Angelas help in the fabric cutting department.- Angela listened to my complaints (about online) and found the lost fabric I had ordered- When I asked for more fabric, Angela did not hesitate to cut more- She also took the time to explain my total, and even gave me a discount on an extra partial yard- Cici the cashier was also extremely pleasant to work with as well

I have spent hours and hours shopping here. Ive found great deals on all kinds of upholstery fabric with which Ive made lots of throw pillows and several cushions. Ive also bought a lot of yarn and knitting accessories there. Its just a fun store. Gets the creative juices flowing!

HORRIBLE WEB ORDER & FULFILLMENT process! My comments are for JOANN CORPORATE - not the local store. I never received any notice that my order was ready for pickup. Also the WEB SITE INFO IS INCORRECT for CARY, NC - It says only open on Saturday 11a-6pm . But they are open (for curbside pickup). They asked if I called ahead - but again, no instructions were provided for that. ORDERING was a NIGHTMARE - An improvement would be a FILTER ONLY SHOW ITEMS AVAILABLE/IN-STOCK FOR LOCAL PICKUP. Instead you have to click on each item then search one by one specifically for each store in your area to see if its available. For example, Kona Cotton fabric in Aqua - Is it available at Cary, NC? Click that store. No. Go back. Select Raleigh, NC and click. No. Go back. Select Durham, NC and click. No. Go back - can I order it for shipping? Yes - so I put in my cart (but at checkout I get a message its not available in the __ yards I need - causing me to try 6 yards, 5 yards, 4 yards, 3 yards, 2 yards, then you must remove it). My 15 year old could make a web ordering system better than this.

Bad product placement for Cricut Joy. I searched the Cricut aisle endlessly with no Joy before having to give up. Took me until after I decided on something else to find it oddly placed by the registers at the beginning of the check-out line.

Seems only possible me person in the store is able to operate scissors to cut fabric so hear I wait with 5 very friendly strangers. Wow! Scissors, really?? The lady that was working was very apologetic and was doing her best. For whomever the manager on duty was to not have picked up a pair of scissors and helped her is just poor management. Overall poor planning and showing for a store with the word fabric in it’s name.

Love this place

I was looking for some Auburn University material to make a friend’s son that was getting married a quilt as he graduated from Auburn. Living in North Carolina now I could not get the company to ship me four yards of the needed material. One of the young ladies (I wish I could remember her name, sorry) tracked down material for me in Alabama and had it shipped to the store here in Cary for me to come pick up. A big thank you for going above and beyond to help me.

I could spend way too much money at JoAnns - highly recommend you shop online before you come for in store pickup, especially if youre getting fabric. The line at the counter normally requires a number!

Not the best experience. I ordered online to pick up in store and the items that I ordered were out of stock in the store. The items that I had to order online because it stated the items were out of stock was actually in store, but I had already ordered them. The system was a little mixed up. Makes me not want to go that route again.

I used to go to the Joann store in San Mateo CA. Loved it. This store in Cary has much the same layout.

Customer service was excellent at this JOANN Fabrics both at the cutting tables & at the register. Id definitely go sometime again when Im in town. The reason I didnt give it 5 stars was for how chaotic the fabric was. I had to keep asking where to find what I was interested in. Thankfully the clerks were able to direct me so they do know their store. Im used to a JOANNs in Mansfield Ohio that is very tidy & organized well. Im sure if this one were closer to me Id eventually get used to their system.

Do not order online and expect to get what you order.Every time I order, they always short my order or worse, don’t fulfill it at all.I placed an online order and waited a week for it to be ready. Called multiple times and was asked to be patient while they work through orders. Totally understand with the COVID restrictions. I was thrilled when I got an email saying it ready only to be immediately followed by an email saying my entire order was canceled. What? They would not reopen the order and told me I would need to place it again and wait in the online order line again.I ordered a lot of Cricut vinyl when it was on sale at $3.99. Even though the website said it was in stock, they only fulfilled 2 and will not honer the same price. Ridiculous and not customer service friendly. I will never order online again and will think twice before giving them any more of my business.
