Great place with excellent friendly service. Very thorough evaluation of my car issue and each step of the repair process was explained so I understood why it was important.

First, my 2003 BMW 530i wouldnt pass inspection. Check Engine Light kept coming on. John helped me diagnose the issue - a torn seal in the torque converter was making the transmission slip. He even had a tech bulletin about the issue. Once we ordered the replacement part, Jon was able to show me the issue on the bad converter. Cant get better proof than that.Its a brand new car! The car passed inspection and rides like brand new. Jon also helped determine my rough idle. He didnt charge for this. The best part of having Jon as my mechanic is that A) he doesnt nickle and dime you to death. B) Jon is a consummate troubleshooter. Hes going to make sure the work hes doing is the right thing to do.

Trying to avoid taking my car to the Audi dealership for a tuneup and oil change I researched for someone that can give me the same services without paying out a arm and leg for it. He took me in first thing in the morning and had my vehicle back to me mid day (for a pre-purchase inspection). He was very thorough both in his inspection and reporting to me on the results. A good mechanic is worth his weight in gold and Jon is definitely that. He replaced the clutch and flywheel on my 2007 cooper S at a very pleasantly competitive price and through the process, identified other serious problems and neglected maintenance issues that he included under the original labor quote, charging only for the parts and materials services. He was quick to respond to emails and texts and always answered calls whether i made them to the shop number or his cell. He didnt try to tack on a bunch of un-needed extra work but at the same time he was explicit about the things that were actual safety concerns and explained how inclusive they were to the current job. I own a BMW X5 2003 for about ten years now and within this time i had a few issues with the car. I love my car and wanted to by a BMW since I was 19 years old. But the issues I had were not the biggest problem. The problem was to find who to take care of my car when I needed. I ran into a few problems. Well first they say if you have a BMW you should take to the dealership for maintenance, because only they have the tools to work on this car, and only they have the professional mechanics to work on your car etc... and with this, comes the higher rates. Even if you need a small service you will pay more. Well. I found a few places in the RTP area that are experienced (or at least they like to tag themselves as if they really are, in order to attract German car owners who usually have good taste and know the cost of ownership) But i was disappointed with customer service specially. I did replace the front axle a few years ago at a BMW expert in Cary and when I picked the car up the car had the same noise when turning the steering wheel. Went back to the shop and discuss the issue with them only to hear “ I don’t know, you have a new axle there the noise you are hearing is normal and bla bla bla”. This is one of the parts I had EUROTECH RTP replace a month ago and is now working great with no noise at all. After awhile I kind of gave up and chose to do minor repairs myself and was truly thinking about trading my car for another make. My car did need some repair that I couldn’t do it myself, so browsing on the internet I found John Hinrichs name at Eurotech RTP. He is in Cary and not very far from me and with all the great reviews I decided to give it a shot. My first visit with John was a surprise to me and you will know how passionate and professional he is as soon as you step in his garage. Eurotech did a great job when they replaced the main oil seal, valve cover seal, and PCV valve seal on my VW GTI. Their final price beat the dealer estimate by a whopping 25%, they did all of the extra work that should be done when you have the engine apart, they found aftermarket parts that will prevent a recurrence of the problem, and they finished on time. The car ran great first time, no oil drips, and I have a follow-up appointment next week. Service at the VW dealer is good, but Eurotech RTP really takes it to the next level.

John is pleasure to communicate with by phone or email. His shop is super clean, I truly believe that John is the best mechanic ive ever delt with. Overall im 100 percent satisfied. I wont ever bring my car to dealership I will call on John If I ever need work done on my car.

It is also evident in the cleanliness of his facilities. His ability to think through a mechanical problem and diagnose the issue perfectly almost 100% of the time is a credit to his training and experience. He also works hard to always provide the best service for the best price as well as making sure that the car is performing at its best after the work has been completed. My experience with EuroTech all started one day when I was out for a spirited drive in my M5. One moment I was pushing the limits of gravity, then poof, intermittent loss of power and insane fault codes. My first instinct was to take it to the dealership, but when the service writer came back at me with a repair order that was more than 20% of the value of my car, I recognized the attempt at buggery. So I did myself some googling and found Jon Hinrichs, the cleanest cut mid-western white guy you will ever find in Cary. He also has a beautiful daughter. I scheduled an appointment via email and within a day I pulled up at his shop. From the moment I walked in things felt different, instead of the terror of awaiting bad news generally experienced at a shop, I felt like I had my own personal mechanic. It was more like a doctors office visit for my vehicle than a mechanic. Within an hour Jon found the issue, a ground wire was corroded and the ECU was acting up. So with an email and an hour my baby was tearing up the pavement again and I avoided the unwanted approaches of the BMW dealership. I highly recommend EuroTech RTP.
