I would rate them negative if I could!! Bad service. They forgot to bolt the screws well and that was about to cause me a serious accident.When I returned to them, I didn’t hear even a single apology!!You need to check that everything is fixed well whenever you do a service with them!!

Oil Change - I had been turned away from 3 other places and my last try was Precision Tune. (shouldve been my 1st) I didnt have an appointment and they still provided the oil change and allowed me to use a coupon! They also told me the other issues with my vehicle. I will return. Professional Service. Very courteous staff.

My experience was very good. My car was taken in and evaluated in a very timely m, the issues were explained to me so that I could understand. I was quoted a price for them to fix it. They were all polite and I wasnt pressured to make a rash decision. I will definitely take my car back to them

I am very satisfied with Precision Auto Tune. The service was excellent and I couldn’t believe how honest and fair they are. I was going to go ahead and get a alignment. After they checked I was told I didn’t need one and had proof on a print out. I was planning on paying but they saved me a lot of money. I needed a oil change and since they were so great I wound up coming back the next day. I got a synthetic oil change at a great price. I will definitely be coming back.

This is the one to go to. They are quick and knowledgeable. It is just typical for places as such to charge crazily for certain maintenance. But overall, you will get the quality care you need there.

Walmart didn’t change my oil correctly and caused a terrible oil leak and Josh was so helpful in not only getting it fixed but explaining to me in detail how to get my money back and was just super super great all around. I’m from out of town so I’m so relieved I ended up here!

I went in as a first time customer, for spark plugs and air intake cleaning hoping to remedy an issue with my cars start-up, I was quoted for $395 which I thought was high but I didnt know the general price of labor for them nor the price of the cleaning, when I got the invoice after the work had been done I had been charged $40 per spark plug, looking at the parts on line they come to be about $10 or $11 dollars each, this shop charged me 4x the value of each part. nearly $400 dollars later the issue still persists (which I dont blame them for as there was no guarantee the spark plugs were the problem) and I have been severely up-charged on parts prices. My advice would be to get multiple quotes before committing to getting work done here.

I love this place! I will only bring my car here at this location. They will get your vehicle in and out at a timely manner. Joshua and Kyle are two good guys who give professional services. I would recommend this place to anyone who needs good professional service. Im very satisficed with there work and I will continue to bring my cars back for more services.

This has to be the best Precision Tune! I got off work and went to another location (shall remain nameless) and they said they were pulling their last car in at 5(understandable everybody ready to go home). I accepted it and called this location. The person who answered the phone(would’ve gotten his name but he was still accepting customers with a smile on his face) had GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!! When I got there they was so welcoming. I would recommend THIS location over any other. Was in and out with no problem. I will always go out my way just to come to this location. I will definitely be back.

I have come to this place for all my maintenance and repairs ever since I moved from Charlotte to Cary in 2015. All managers, service people and mechanics I have been dealing with are great. Today I met with Zack, Assistant Manager. I was impressed by his professional, courteous and friendly service. Basically I had my engine oil changed and the front brake pad replaced. As always, I am very satisfied with the quality service they provided to my car. I trust this Precision Tune, as they have been very honest to their clients, such as myself and I never have to worry about any unnecessary services/repairs that I don’t need.

Prices have sky rocket on oil change and they always try to upsell you with bogus suggestions. They suggested i get new wiper blades and the one i have arent even 5 months old.

Josh and the team were awesome! My car ended up needing a lot of work and I had to go up there several times for testing and repairs. They always kept me in the loop on what was going on and even let me see the parts that were broken and explained why they were broken. They worked with me to get the best deal on parts, which helped a lot during the holiday season! I chose to stay in their waiting room while my car was undergoing a long day of repairs and they were incredibly nice, kind and helpful to every single person who walked in that day. They talked with family members on the phone, went out to vehicles to check on lights, and worked well with their customers. I’ve been going to Precision Tune since I was 16 and this was my first time with this location, but it won’t be my last! 10/10 recommend.

Do not go here! They told us we needed an LED center tail light apparatus. Oh and for $350. Fixed it at home for $10 light bulb. Total con artists.

I have been coming here for 5+ years since the amazing BJ was here! Things were a bit up and down since shes been gone, but I love the new manager here, Josh and I think hes making this place amazing again! The location is convenient. There is a very nice waiting area & you are close to restaurants/shopping if you need to run errands.They do inspections, tires and everything all at one place. Their prices are super reasonable. I love that they actually show you (if possible) what the issues are that need to be fixed. As a woman, it is nice to know I can trust them and not feel like I am getting ripped off or tricked into an unnecessary repair. They have the most reasonable rates in oil changes within a 50 mile radius & they always have coupons online for major repairs. They also give a military discount which is very much appreciated. Their customer service is amazing & love how they speak to customers and always look out for their best interest. I hope this team is here to stay!

First time visited there for an urgent fix and they gladly accommodated. The issue was created at a different facility but they were able to find the root cause and fixed it.Friendly staff. I did drop off and was called an hour 1/2 later stating my inspection was done. Zac was very friendly and upbeat on the phone. My coworker was stating how she needed to get her car inspected and I told her to take it across the street. That is what I did this morning and it is already done. She took it on lunch and also had a great experience.

I’ve been going to this shop for years (when the sitting area wasn’t as nice) and this will be my last time. I kept going there because they always treated me well & were honest. However, over the last few years, they have changed management and now it’s all about how we can turn this $30 oil change into a $1,000 job. If you are like me, you dont want to pay for things you dont need.Here’s the last and final incident & then you can decide if this is a shop you want to go to. (also look at other reviewers. Don’t be fooled by the 5 star reviews you may find of them. Anyone can get good reviews. However, no one takes the time to write a negative review unless they had that negative experience)I went to get an oil change as usual, and (as is the new standard policy I guess) Josh came and recommended I replace my transmission for the super low price of $2300. I asked whats wrong with it, he said my solenoid was bad, which he said would cost almost as much to replace the entire thing. (later when I confront him he says they only replace, not fix transmissions... Then y did they tell me it would be as much to replace it, if thats not something they do? ) Now, I knew my car had a minor ‘slipping’ issue but it wasn’t anything major. Therefore, I was a bit skeptical to say the least. I left and went on my way. Fast forward 2-3 weeks and the ‘slipping’ gets worse so I leave the car parked thinking the worst has happened (I thought it would take longer to go from slightly bad to plain failing but I put that on my bad luck). To this point, I was still feeling hesitant because I just had this feeling something was off. Therefore, I decide to take a look at the car myself.Within 3 seconds, I realized the transmission was low on transmission fluid. So then I think hmmm could that be the issue? So I go to my local Mal-Mart and get some fluid. (I did overfill it so then I had to drain some but besides the point) When I put in enough fluid, the ‘slipping’ completely went away! Which then got me thinking, did it have oil before and they didn’t put any or did they even check it at all? So I call my good ol buddy (sarcasm here) Josh at the shop because I wanted him to explain how they came to the conclusion I needed a new transmission.And this is were I lost it, he explains to me “we drove it and blah blah blah” so I ask, you didn’t actually test the parts?, and then he tells me we don’t fix, just replace transmissions. Which I get it, but you couldn’t tell me that? You couldn’t say, hey our policy is only to replace transmission. No, because then they wouldn’t be able to sell me $2300 worth of work I didn’t need. Therefore, they knew it was low on oil (which I’m not a mechanic and saw that in 3 secs so not sure how they would miss that and if they do they really suck) and didn’t say anything, knew it was low but since they don’t work on fixing transmission decided I needed an entire new one, or didn’t test anything at all and just said I needed one.Whatever the answer is, they are a bunch of crooks.Not only that, he then hung up; how professional. If you care about the customer, you don’t just hang up. You try and listen to the complaint and at least try to explain it or see what you can do to fix it. However, he knew he had no excuse. Im just sooooo sooooo glad, I didnt give him any of my money. They wanted to charge me $2300, for a problem I fixed myself with $50 worth of oil. And yes, the car has been running wonderfully.They know that most people will just agree to the repairs or they dont know enough to realize they are getting taken for a ride. but, just because you can take advantage of people, doesnt mean you should. If you want someone to take your money, give it to charity or something. Because, that is what they will do. TAKE. YOUR. MONEY.I wanted to save people their money, so this was the best I could do. Youve been warned.Don’t be fooled by the lovely waiting area or the friendly ‘salespeople’ (cause that’s what they are). It’s the only nice thing about them.

This is probably the best auto shop I’ve ever been to. I had to replace the calipers on my impala and they are typically very expensive, my total came out to About $590 dollars and they were able to bring it down to a little over $500. Zack at the front desk made the experience very easy unlike most other shops that are rude. I 10/10 recommend this place. Oh and the oil change prices are AMAZING.

Definitely blessed me with a free diagnostic test however I was super charged for parts and labor nonetheless. I was charged $1200 for parts when I got them for less than $400. I hate that we live in a world where a female needs a male to be with them when obtaining a mechanical quote.

This is easily the cleanest, most comfortable auto-care business Ive been to. Plenty of space and cushioned chairs to read, watch TV or work on your laptop.And Marie was so helpful. She told me I didnt need an expensive service that another shop recommended. (Always a good sign when they try not to sell you on unnecessary services.) She told me the services I actually did need. And then she offered to help me find coupons for them.I mean, seriously. Whens the last time a business told you how to save money you didnt even ask about? Oh, and my oil change only took 30 minutes. Not sure if its always that fast, but it was for me. Definitely going back.

So I came in as a new customer from out of state. Josh the manager was excellent!! Sorry Josh your mechanic failed you miserably. I needed an oil change/tire rotation and let him know I needed the tires aired up. He acknowledged it and wrote it on the work order. The oil changer neglected to do his job duties and left 21 lbs in one tire and 26 in the other. Shame that you have a good manager but bad employees. I will never return and let my followers know why. I even tipped him 5 dollars Because it was hot. So thanks for not earning that or your regular hourly wage. THEY PAID TO REMOVE THE ORIGINAL 1STAR REVIEW SO IM SURE THE SAME WILL HAPPEN WITH THIS ONE.

They lied about the work that was not done and charged me $220 for what wasnt done and handed me excusses

Great office staff and fairly quick. My only complaint isnt really a complaint at all, or possibly isnt, but the day I went in to get a tire replaced they discovered that I had two nails in another tire and had to order one for me to come in the next day. That very well may have been on me because I had last been there a week or so ago and so could have acquired the nails then. So for stars for now but that could very well go up later!

They do a better job than the dealership I got my car from, especially better at customer service. My car was finished in a timely manner and they answered all my questions patiently. 10/10 would go back. Best welcome to Cary experience I could ask for.

Good for basic maintenance with a nice staff but not for diagnosing real issues. Brought my car in after my clutch pedal dropped to the floor. After a few holding my car for a few days they said there was no issue and I need to top off my reservoir fluid. I brought it Renaissance Auto in Cary and they saw right away that I needed a new slave cylinder. They said if anyone would have opened the hood they would have seen this issue right away. As you could guess I stopped going to here for real issues.

I towed my vehicle in to have the shift cable replaced and after “4” additional return visits it’s still not repaired properly. Warranty or not it’s not worth the hassle or loss of work returning again

I sent my son here to get his oil changed before he took a road trip. I called ahead and Talon assured me that he would take care of him. They got to his car so quickly that I decided to drive up there and get mine done too. We were both serviced quickly and the customer service was superb. Talon even made me a fresh pot of coffee. Great service and a cheap oil change.

Took my Ford Fiesta in this morning. Talon was very professional and helpful. Great customer skills that is natural and not forced. He wants to make sure you understand everything and make an informed decision without being pushy. I felt 100% confident in the service I had done today (and the one I will be doing later). They even pop in a piece on my door that I had forgotten to mention. They have a new life customer!!!

Five Star care as always! Service representative made a couple recommendations for further work that needed to be performed but at no time did I feel pressured into allowing them to preform the service. With a variety of service discounts I found their costs for service to be rather affordable. Highly recommend!

Was my favorite place to take my cars. I was a customer for 5 years. I needed nail removed and my tire patched. Though the tires need replacing they were still patchable but they refused to patch my tires. So guess what.. I get to purchase two tires and get an alignment somewhere else who will appreciate my business. Precision Tune just lost a customer!!!

Ive been in search of a good shop for awhile now that will stand behind their work, and I must say this location is it. Super clean waiting room and spacious while your waiting for your car to get fixed, and plenty of places in the area to walk around until your car is ready. My experience here was great, as I had a challenge with my car idling funny. They were very friendly and explained to me in detail what the challenge was and what needed to be fixed. They pointed out the main things that needed to be addressed, and told me what needed to be worked on in the near future.. no pressure. After a few hours my car ran like new again, and I was very pleased with the price.. very competitive and fair. I will surely be returning here for my future car care needs!

2nd Edit: Dropping them back down to one star. I brought the car in for an alignment because the steering was pulling slightly to the right. After the service the car now pulls even more to the right. I called to ask what they could do to improve the alignment and they flat out said nothing other than replacing the subframe. So I paid $60 for nothing. If the technician could tell that no adjustments could be made, then drop it off the lift and tell me. Dont fiddle around for theater and then charge me full rate. Disappointed in every way with this shop and I wont be returning.Edit: My initial review gave 1 star. I’ve increased it to 2 stars because the technician, Josh, who checked me out after the service was indeed wearing a mask. He was the only technician to do so and I thanked him for it. Kudos, Josh, and thanks again.Cant recommend this shop due to zero covid-19 precautions taken. Zero mask use among any of the technicians. Even when I checked in my car at the counter, the technician did not wear a mask. Theres no sign on the door reminding customers (or technicians) that they are required to wear masks. I didnt see the technician who worked on my car clean his hands or use hand sanitizer before driving my car into the bay. This is written on the day that the US President was diagnosed with COVID-19. If the president can get the virus in spite of constant testing among himself and his staff, then we the common people will as well. Especially when businesses are not doing their diligence to keep their customers safe. This shop acted irresponsibly in this regard and I will not be returning.

I went to Precision Auto this morning because of a tire that was almost flat. The customer service was polite, very professional and efficient. Being an out-of-towner I was waiting to hear the bad news of needing to replace the tire....after a few minutes they came back and told me it could be plugged immediately and would only cost me approximately $20.00! I would use Precision Auto again and recommend it to everyone!

This shop is a what you want in a mechanic. First off, I had finished changing both front calipers on my Ford Escape but the pump I was using lost its seal and the vacuum burst, so it shot air into the lines. I called around to different places and these guys were by far the cheapest (less than 1/3 of what Ford wanted and 1/2 of what a brake shop wanted). They got me in and out on a Saturday without an appointment in less than an hour.Fast forward to today when my Ford Expedition went into a Fail Safe Mode. I took it in an hour and a half before closing (after they said that was fine, because I hate doing that to people) and they promptly got on it. Again, this was without an appointment. They spent 1.5 hours on it checking a bunch of things and even topped of some fluids, and then sent me on my way. Now I was willing to pay for the time they spent on it, but they didnt want to charge me anything. And while I was waiting, I heard both guys up front working with customers on pricing and the necessary versus suggested work.All in all, very honest people. The old shop I went to closed down and once you find a mechanic, you stick. Well I believe I have found my mechanic. Thank you guys for making sure my vehicle is safe!

This is an awesome location! First time and the staff was great. From the Associate David, the Manager Talon and the District Manager BJ, I felt valued and respected. The store is clean, coffee was made fresh, and of course the services received were excellent and reasonably priced. The staff all answered my questions patiently and even the customers in the store were friendly. Ill definitely be back.

I would really like to give them more stars, because the customer service is pretty good. However, Im still very pissed! I took my car here to get a tune up (I usually go to the Atlantic Ave location but this one is closer to my job). I also mentioned that my engine light was on. I dropped my car off and they called saying that the engine light was something very minor and they still recommended a tune up and a 4 step process. I asked them TWICE how much my total would be, and he said $120 with a coupon that he could apply. I go to pick up my car and the girl at the front desk says $592. I asked her was she sure and she (with a slight attitude) says yeah. She calls back the guy who I had been speaking with and he apologizes for not communicating with me. If I had known that the work would have cost that much, I wouldnt have gotten everything done today. I had to spend WAY more money than I had planned! He did give me a 10% discount, but this is still $450 over the price that he originally gave me over the phone. I was so mad and hurt I wanted to cry.

This shop is fantastic. I have an extremely tight budget, and they patiently worked with me on deliberating the most critical repairs for my 2004 Jeep. They physically showed me the condition of each part on my car, explained all my questions repeatedly, and clarified how their prices and labor costs differed from other auto repair shops. I never felt under pressure, and am extremely grateful for that; a lot of shops have taken advantage of my age and gender. I will definitely be returning to this shop.

I was pleasantly surprised how all the services I received (brakes, brake discs, oil change, fluid replacement) was priced very appropriately. I did have a 3 hour wait due to all that had to be done. But what i liked best was how they walked me through each piece of what needed replacing and why. Thats what I call good customer service. Making sure the customer knows exactly what is going on and why. Thank you!

What do I love about this location? The manager... Shes very personable and treats each customer like a friend or family member. There are always baked goodies, coffee and today there was fruit. Ive never had them oversell me or even try to. Theyve always done excellent work and are very pocket friendly. Highly recommended!

Talon is the least helpful person I have ever encountered in the auto industry. Last year when I brought my car in for an issue I was told “Well, it’s you fault this happened.” Not just rude, but not helpful in any way. Less than a year later the same part had to be fixed again. $900 and 4 days later the issue came up again! I work during open hours during the week and can’t just leave my car, since there is no shuttle service. I was basically told oh well, figure it out, with no help or apology, the repair still not being corrected, or any help for the inconvenience, etc. After at least $2k worth of work my car still isn’t fixed and I’ve had to deal with extremely rude and unhelpful service. The only reason I came back was because I was told some parts were covered under warranty, but I wish I had just gone anywhere else instead.

Every time Ive come for an oil change, everyone has been friendly. The work is done quickly & efficiently. I never feel spoken down to if there is a problem. Plus the price is reasonable and the workmanship efficient. I do recommend Precision Tune Auto Care.

This past time, we were going to be a little late getting to the store before they closed for the day, but the person working there stayed a little late so we could still pay for and get our car that day.Thats just one example, but they always have great customer service and are always friendly.

Went in and asked for an oil change and inspection. Was told it would be about an hour and a half which was fine. They pulled my car around and only then decided to tell me that they didn’t do my inspection because their system was down. When I asked to speak to the manager he told me he had been trying to get it working all day but it was was not up yet. My question is why you would have a customer waste their time when you already knew your system wasn’t working? My one day off that week and they wasted my time. I would have totally respected them if they told me as soon as I came in that it was down and I could have made a decision to stay or not. And I would have come back in the future for other services! Now- absolutely not. Will never go here again. Oh- another thing, the manager said he would “call when the system was working again” it’s been over a week and nothing.

I search for the best oil change price in the area and found a coupon for $16.95 at participating Precision Tune. There was just up the street from my job, so I called. The manage answered and told his shop was not the target of that coupon but he would honor it all the same, because he wanted my business. They had me in and out in under 30 minutes. I was so satisfied that I returned 2 days later with my wifes SUV and an oil change coupon designed for that store for $18.95.

I received wonderful care from the staff at PTAC. My car got a new coil ignition and spark plugs, and they were able to save me a little bit of money by doing only necessary work, and my car is back to running beautifully. I will be returning for future oil changes and repairs if needed. Highly recommend!

The service was quick and friendly at the time of my oil change. Suggested services for my car were found to be incorrect and unnecessary. Later on, when I decided to change the oil myself, I found that Precision had way overtightened the bolt and oil filter cartridge on my Toyota - not at all precise! It took penetrating oil and great force to break the seal that they put on my car. I would not recommend Precision for any work.

Quoted me $110 to flush my transmission. Suprise me with a $189 bill. They said they had to add a $50 labor fee and $20+ for materials. Would have been nice to know this up front. I wont go there again. Otherwise, really nice people.

Brought my 2004 Honda in for scheduled maintenance. Service was quick, affordable, and done right. Been going to these guys a couple months now by recommendation from a friend. The new manager Chris has a great team ready to meet all you auto repair needs. I trust no one else with my auto repair needs than Precision at Weaverly Place.

Team was very communicative, friendly, and upfront about pricing and recommended services.
