Just bought a 2014 Kia soul at the beginning of November from these guys and the service I received was absolutely fantastic! I had been car searching online and visiting places all day so was pretty done by the time I got to them. Showed up about an hour before closing to check out a car I was interested in off their website. Andrew Shirley was the sales rep who came out to meet me and immediately went to get the keys so I could test drive it. Not that cars are bad or service are bad, just comments on their sales persons attitude toward people that generate income for them. Recently I recommended someone to this dealer to look for some cheap used car. He was originally going to Raleigh, to those capital boulevard area dealers. I met him in Apex and suggest why not look at this dealer first since is so close. I brought him there and immediately he bought a used Toyota. Its not much, several thousand dollars. But when I went to the managers and the same sales person, asking if there would be referral fee to me ( realized I could get some quite late, actually) . One said the deal has been done and cant change the book of business, so cant write those expense into it. The other said If you bought cars with us before you can get something out of it.Do you think thats fair? Or just excuses? Especially for the salesperson that day, he just made a deal out of nowhere because of me. Even theres no way to change how you write into your business record, shouldnt you just be happy that I helped you? Paying out of your own pocket would not be a problem here. Just so much excuses.

Was ready to buy the vehicle and waited over two hours during the process of closing the deal. Finally when was waiting I looked up the exact same car at Car Max in Raleigh with less miles and 1k less cost. They made me wait again while they checked and said, we’re not Car Max, and we don’t price match. So I went to Car Max and the experience was great! Simple, efficient, no games, and I got a great car! Please look into Car Max’s business plan and abolishing the old way of doing business.

Was trying to shop for a used car after my mother in law had car accident one week ago and the 2015 Nissan Versa was totaled. Thank god she is doing okay. Just has some pain and bruises on body/legs.Got help by Kenny in Hendrick Kia Cary (preowned cats). At the end we financed and walked with 2016 Kia Sorento LX with 18K miles. They even fixed the several dents on the hood next day!The reason we gave 4 stars instead of 5 stars is because we only got one key/remote. Writing this a little late but wanted to cool off. I had a positive experience purchasing my new car and the young man Gary was great. Up front and never gave you the greasy shady feeling. But the one star rating comes from the stress I was put through about three weeks later when my temp plate expired. I called three day in a row. Getting different answers starting with my insurance was the problem to finally am paperwork was not filed correctly. I work on a military installation and to go on base with expired tags would be a kiss of death. I explained this to the companionless body on the phone. Oh and I forgot, I had to call them back since they NEVER returned my call. Needless to say four days after the expiration I drove to Raleigh and got the plate and not a word from management. Thank you for the loss of my salary waiting for you folks to get this straight out. So beware

Car was already priced cheaper than any other car in the market and they gave me an additional $500 discount for driving so far and sold me a bumper to bumper extended warranty that didn’t increase my payment but $20 a month!! I just purchased a 2010 Toyota Sienna at Hendrick Preowned and the van is in excellent condition. There was an issue with one of the automatic doors, but the service department ordered parts and put lots of labor into getting it fixed at no charge. Even when the repair had problems because of bad parts, they gave me a rental car as a convenience. I am very satisfied with the van and my experience with Hendrick Preowned of Cary. Very professional.

Josh Bateman was simply amazing! He spent hours over several days, helping us find the vehicle that fit our family situation best. We went into the car buying experience looking for particular vehicle models, and Josh showed them to us, but by listening to our needs, he was able to suggest other vehicle models that were not on our radar originally. We ended up going with a totally different SUV than we went there for, and could not be happier. We now have more, space, more luxury, more reliability, and better value than the other vehicles we thought were the best fit for us. Josh used his knowledge to facilitate a product for our needs, he didnt sell us a car. Thats how salesmen should be.That said, the Recon/service departments did not do a great job of cleaning the car up, and servicing to the level I would expect for a 25k plus vehicle. There were missing valve stem caps, tar on the rocker panels, cheerios, and what looks like a dried out orange in the interior, rail car dust all over the paint starting to make rust spots (white car), no coolant in the reservoir, missing passenger side floor mat, spare tire jack and accessories missing completely, large differences in tire pressures, etc. Not even tire shine......The car itself has no issues I cant buff out, clean, and make right with a quick trip to the auto parts store, but I was left wondering what, if anything got checked on the pre-delivery checks they are proud to mention.I would work with Josh again in a heartbeat, but dont think I will use their service department in the future. But to be fair, I do all my own work anyway. I wish I could leave Josh 5 stars, and 3 for recon and service.

Ex Hendrick Automotive employee. Told them this before stopping in, not to get a discount or have any sort of preferred service but to hope they would be straight forward to get something done quickly with no standard back and forth. Drove a Genesis I saw online and did research on. Liked it and very quickly filled out the standard credit app and started discussing price. We were ~$2k apart. Sales person, team lead did the standard back and forth to the glass box full of sales managers and finance. I didnt feel like sitting there for 2-3 hours so I left after the third trip to the glass box . They called me as I pulled up to the main light (no more than 1-2 minutes after walking out the door) saying theyd close 1800 of the 2000 gap. I obviously didnt turn around. Bought a brand new Accord from down the road a few months later. Youll get the game here, youre warned.

HORRIBLE !!!! watch what you buy from here would be my advise. I purchased a vehicle here. We noticed the car had a hole on the rear back bumper. When my sales person called me, I told her about it and she scheduled an appointment which when I called KIA to let them know I was running few minutes behind. Turns out, NO APPOINTMENT SCHEDULE! which made me cancel some plans I had on MY 1 OUT 2 days OFF!. I was told to reschedule. Which I asked for Saturday to avoid missing work and they said 2 WEEKS! so I told them to do the earliest. My appointment ended being TODAY. 11 days after my purchase and now they tell me. I TOOK POSSESION OF THE VEHICLE and I HAVE TO PAY OUT OF MY POCKET!!! Sales Lady told me go to a cheap place to patch it or even better GO TO LOOK FOR THE PART AND LOOK for a cheaper place to do the job. NOW WHAT? I am here with a stupid car loan for a car that was suppose to be CERTIFIED and in perfect condition.

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. The experience I had this morning with Hendrick Preowned of Cary was purely embarrassing. I had made an appointment with Diane to see a particular toyota rav4 hybrid earlier in the week. When I arrived on time to my appointment, Diane wasnt there. I waited 20 minutes until I had to approach another member of the staff to help me (was not offered to me even though I was the only customer waiting and there were 3 members of staff available.) When I was finally helped, they let me know that the car that I had made an appointment to come see had been sold. This dealership was a 40 minute drive for me, so I wasted over an hour and a half for them to tell me that the car I came to see wasnt there. The best part was that in the email detailing directions to the dealership, they wrote: I promise we wont waste a minute of your time. We are a very transparent and straight forward dealership. Well, I can tell you, you wasted an hour and a half of my time and you were not transparent at all.
Good customer service, poor car detailing on the car we purchased. It looked almost the way it did before they called themselves cleaning it. We went through a bank our check was written out for $300 more than the sale price. The sales rep was supposed to send the difference to us its been almost a month it still hasnt arrived. My husband has called twice . I will contact the bank. This is unacceptable. If it was not for those two issues. I would give them a 4, also very little vehicles to choose from.

Today I went to Hendrick Pre-owned. They have so many cars to choose from. From the time I arrived till the time I left I had a great experience. I didnt leave with a car but that is only because I am looking for something in particular. They had different models of the car I wanted but I couldnt settle on any of them. I am going back next week to look at 2 cars they are getting on the lot. The key to my great experience was a salesman named Rick Umstead. He helped me look at every car I wanted to see. 4 of them. He even drove me to their other dealership to look at a car I wanted to see. He took his time and made me feel very comfortable. Being a 30 year old woman going to a dealership by yourself can be intimidating. I didnt feel that way at all. Everyone there is very nice, but Rick sets the bar.

I just dropped by and looked at cars on the Hendrick Pre-Owned in Cary. Joshua Bateman just walked up and we started talking. I had to meet my mom in Garner to see a movie, he gave me his card and I left. I had been looking at a 2018 Kia Sportage on-line at the Southpoint lot and I wanted it Kia certfified, I went February 14 to Southpoint and drove the car, and fell in LOVE with it. There was a young lady looking at the car and I just knew she would had gotten it. I called Joshua in Cary the next day and told him what I wanted and how I was going to pay for it. Then the speed bumps happened getting the car from Durham to Cary. Joshua, my husband and a team at the dealership jump through hoops to get me that car. Joshua was right beside me all the way through this process even missing a date with his girlfriend to make sure I drove MY 2018 Kia Sportage off the lot. OH!!! he even put a red bow on it, so when I came to pick it up I could see it. I would definitely buy another car from there and will be telling all my friends and family
After a Lending Tree affiliate submitted my name and contact info to various dealerships without my consent, Diane F., one of the sales people at Hendrick Pre-Owned contacted me. She was very nice and no-push after I explained that I hadnt submitted the inquiry. When the car I had been set to purchased turned up to have reported frame damage, our financing co refused to cover the car, so off we went looking for another car. First stop was to Hendrick and to see Diane. While she wasnt in yet, since this was a spur-of-the-moment trip, the manager didnt push us to work with someone else. Diane was very nice and personable. She and everyone else dealt with my toddler with a smile as, after a couple hours, he was DONE. They have a game room which my son spent a lot of time in. They did, as every dealership does, tried to get us to finance through their people, when we walked in with financing already. There wasnt much in the way of budging on the price, not that I feel we overpaid or anything, but they automatically try to add on 6 oil change packages. The salespeople also seemed to not be able to answer questions regarding what Certified Pre-Owned meant in regards to the warranty. Diane has been very helpful after the fact with answering any questions that I had as they arose. The dealership as a whole is a bit standard in certain used car practices, but they werent even close to being as annoyingly pressuring as others have been. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a used car.
Went in on the fly to check out our options. We had done a little research but after my commuter car suddenly died, it hurried our timeline a bit. Upon arrival to the lot, we were promptly met by Lance Wexler as we were browsing the inventory.Lance was extremely helpful in our process. My wife and I traded in our old Equinox and got 2 Kias, an Optima and a Sedona. We were able to test drive both vehicles and get the ball rolling for financing quickly.Lance and their finance team were able to work the numbers and get us a great deal on our purchase as well as an awesome value on our trade in. Lance even went above and beyond and was able to get us an additional key and tires for the Sedona. He even hooked us up with SiriusXM on both cars.It’s too bad we had such a great experience and love our vehicles because I’d love to purchase another car from Lance and his team. I was bullshitted by multiple dealerships in my area about getting me into the car I wanted, an optima. I called Hendrick Preowned and spoke with Lance, told him I wanted to do as much as I could online and over the phone so numbers could be worked with the bank before I waste time driving out there. Lance is the man & made it happen & got me into the car I wanted. He put up with my crazy ass when I didn’t leave Sunday in the car but he made sure I was leaving off the lot in the optima the next day & now here I am posting this review in the drivers seat of my new optima. I couldn’t be more happy with Lance & his service, he’s a man of his word unlike other salesman. I will recommend any and everyone to go see Lance before going elsewhere. If I could rate in the negative, I would. This has been the WORST experience for my husband and I. My husband purchased his last vehicle with them and had a great experience so we returned. My cousin also used to work for them and my father has purchased or leased a new car from them literally EVERY year for the past 27 years that I have been alive. We have never been more frustrated. The pre owned department has been “calling us back” for the past 3 weeks and STILL has yet to do so. We called 2 days ago and spoke with jeremy in finance and he promised (yet again) to call us back the next day...that obviously STILL hasnt happened. Matt Arlington has promised to call us back and that was 3 weeks ago. We are STILL awaiting on a refund check to come back from finance and that STILL hasnt happened. We were PROMISED that when our vehicle came in from VA that if it wasn’t just like it was in the shown pictures that whatever needed to be fixed could be. We literally have 2 MINOR things that needed fixing and they STILL havnt called us to set up an appointment and one of the sale managers told us “oh we actually don’t fix that you’ll have to take it to ford.” Mind you let’s back up to when we first sat down to purchase our truck...in the process of signing the paperwork we were told “sorry we actually can’t sell you this truck bc it’s SOLD”...then we call the VA dealership and they tell us “it’s NOT SOLD”....I could go on and on about how horrible this place is. HIGHLY DISHONEST...once they sel the vehicle they couldn’t give a flip about you anymore. DONT BUY FROM HENDRICK!!!!! We will never make his mistake again (and I’m purchasing a new vehicle in the next few months...lost that business) I’ll take my money where I’m a valued customer when I’m signing and when I walk out the door.

Would rather give a zero to Cary NC Pre-owned. Quincy and his trusty sidekick Jeramy sold me a car that did not exist. Put money down. Signed everything, and was told the car would be there the following Monday. Monday rolls around and its lunchtime. No call from mermaid man and barnacle boy down at the Cary Pre owned lot, so I called them. Got transferred to someone else who told me sorry but the car (that was technically sold to me) had been sold to someone else in Charlotte NC. Not only did I spend way to long at their dealership an hour and a half from home. I ended up with nothing but waiting for a refund from these knuckleheads. No attempt from this place to fix the problem. Dont waste youre time.

So I took my son to buy a truck here in February, he bought the truck and is enjoing it. However, we called Hendrick today to see where his license plate is because his 30 day plate will run out this week and we were told the truck he bought has a lien on it and he cant get plates until this is resolved. How in the hell do you sell a vehicle with a lien on it. REALLY PEOPLE!!!!!!!!
I had very good experience with the group. I was not planning to buy my vehicle that day and was only browsing but when Joshua Bateman came over and asked what I was looking for one thing led to another. Thing is, the group was great. Josh took the time to get the details of everything I was looking for in a vehicle and was even able to educate me on some details I want familiar with (such as 4x4 vs AWD). Fortunately they had a near perfect vehicle on hand and more importantly I got a good price. I basically bought a 2013 escape titanium in near new condition at bluebook value. Financing was a pain but Im young (and even with good credit you know how banks are). The guys in back did everything they could to get me financed and they finally did. I still recommend getting pre approved for a vehicle loan but Hendrick pre-owned is worth a visit. Youll get a good price and the crew will do everything they can to take care of you. Two weeks later I even asked my man Josh to send me a copy of the Carfax and he didnt hesitate.
Well, Hendrick Pre-Owned lost a sale last week.When we arrived at the dealership, we were bluntly honest with the salesperson* - were here to try on a used Cherokee Trailhawk you have and see where the numbers sit if we traded in our FJ for that vehicle. Weve driven other examples of this vehicle before, we have somewhere to be, we have an infant with us, and we want to make this quick. Were not expressly buying tonight, but we are comparing you against another vehicle we have our eye on.Initially, things went well. We did a walk-around of the FJ, he passed my keys off to the appraisal department with the promise that they would tend to it while we looked at the Cherokee, and off we went into the lot to poke at it.About 20 to 30 minutes later, we were satisfied with the vehicle, though terribly dissatisfied with its level of cleanliness - to put it simply, it hadnt been cleaned. There were literally Nerf darts and dog hair in one of the cubbies, dirt and grime on the seats, and a general state of shabbiness. Nothing that rose to the level of damage, but a lot of stuff that should have been wiped away.We got back to the showroom, only to discover the appraisal team hadnt even started their work yet.First strike.The invitation was offered to drive the Cherokee while they looked at the FJ - which we declined, as we said we would - and we proceeded to kill another 15-20 minutes in the showroom while our infant got more and more annoyed at the situation.Finally, our FJ and the appraisal team returned, and I suggested to the salesperson that he get our keys and call us with the numbers.He talked with his managers, and they declined to provide us the keys until they had completed their appraisal.Second strike.Our infant hit his limit somewhere in there, and we flat requested our keys back such that we could leave. Our salesperson went and spoke with his managers again, and returned with the final numbers for the trade-in and purchase, courtesy of, again, his managers.We thanked him, and /again/ requested the keys.Last and final strike.It finally took me specifically saying to the manager, We need to leave, now, I want my keys, now, in order to get the keys back for my FJ.At this point, it might be fair to describe my demeanor as angry.The /very/ first thing a dealership should do after returning from the test-drive of a trade-in vehicle is /return the keys/. Its not your property. It may /never/ be your property, and in in this case, it /definitely/ will never be your property. Regardless, you take the information you need down - VIN, accessories, packages, etc. - and you RETURN THE KEYS.The fact that our infant was literally melting down in the showroom is entirely incidental, though it surely is not helping my emotional perception of the dealership.In the end, though, it wouldnt have mattered if they had provided us the best deal in the world - they didnt, but thats besides the point. The delay tactics, in the face of a specific request to speed things along and a clearly fussing infant, coupled with the simple inability to return a persons keys cost them the sale.Its weird. Ive used Hendrick Toyota of Apex to service my FJ for as long as Ive had it, and we shopped there a few times while we were trying to find the wife a new-to-her car. On both the service and sales side, the personnel were consummately friendly, helpful, and borderline obsequious.Sadly, the same thing cannot be said of their sister dealership. If youre in the Raleigh area, I recommend steering clear of the Pre-Owned branch.(* - It is worth noting that our salesperson - Christian - was nothing if not polite, helpful, and a well-spoken salesman. The problem occurred at least one, and possibly both, levels higher than him.)

Our experience here was very unprofessional. We test drove a 2011 Cadillac Escalade Esv. When we were driving it, it was 95degrees outside and the a/c did not work. We were interested in the car but concerned about the a/c. The manager was getting it checked out for us. I called the next morning and asked about the car..the manager told me we didnt have the right button pushed and he said the a/c works now. I knew this was a lie as I work on cars and know how to turn the a/c on! I told the manager that I wanted to make sure the a/c was not leaking and they just didnt put some freon coolant in for it to work and it leak back out in a few days. He insured me it was a button not pushed. I later went to the dealer and spoke to a different manager and the first thing he said was yeah they added freon and its fine now. Obviously this means the manager I spoke to on the phone was lying to me. We liked the car and decided to purchase the car with an agreement the scratch on the bumper and a/c would be throughly fixed and looked over. The manager pointed at his shirt which said Hendrick and said Hendrick is all about customer service and we can have it fixed and to you by Wednesday night. This is HENDRICK. (Pointing to his shirt again.) We started the purchase process and put a $3500 down payment under the impression the car eould be fixed no later than Wednesday. The finance manager stated he would call me as soon as he got all the bank proposals back. We never received a call back. I called to get an update on the financing and could never get anyone to call me back or I would call and the receptionist would say she was transferring me and would get back on the phone and relay the message from the manager. We could never get a sales manger or finance manager to call or answer my calls. So much for Hendrick customer service. It is Wednesday at 5:00 and havent had a call yet. We were supposed to have the car to us by 6:00 as the manager promised. At this point, I do not have one ounce of trust in Hendrick. I have been lied to multiple times and feel like they think that since we agreed to buy a car and already paid a downpayment, they dont have to work for my business anymore. I will updated this post once we figure out the outcome of all of this. Completely ignoring phone calls, dishonesty, not updating the customer and terrible customer service ONCE the vehicle has already been agreed, paid and signed for..thats Hendrick!
When I got there I stood at the counter for 5 minutes before anyone would help me (to busy playing on their phones) and they had to call the sales rep (I had talked to previously) to come see me. It took him over 20 minutes to show up. I got the impression he wasnt even on the lot at the time. Would not recommend.
