I love the breakfast here. The owners daughter is very friendly.
Good food, great service in a old school friendly environment.
Go in expecting a diner, you will leave very satisfied.
Great service, Food ready fast even when its busy. Nice time capsule
Never go to Cartersville without stopping at this great diner for a good home cooked meal and a wonderful experience every time.Fred
The white of the egg in my omelet was not thoroughly cooked at all. Rest was OK. My husband said his eggs and sausage were good but the biscuit was mediocre (not homemade) and the gravy was watery and tasteless. I doubt if we will return.
Down to earth waitress and courtesy service .5th time here, love thier hospitality
Horrible!!!!! Hands down the worst sausage gravy biscuit Ive ever had!!!!! The biscuits tasted old and was hard as a rock!!! The sausage was the size of a quarter.. and the gravy was so water down it was like soup!!! Will not be going back!!!! Ill stick with Martins gravy biscuits!!!! Save your money and dont go to Ross @!!
Food was horrible. Cheese on top of omeletes was literally just an American single slapped on top and soaked in oil. Biscuits and gravy were simply inedible.
Good food and atmosphere. I will go again.
Awesome little diner top shelf front row. My wife and I stopped by to get some breakfast. And started a conversation with a gentleman who ran a construction company. This is how I found out about the cowboy museum. A wonderful guy he talked and told me an awful lot about the history of the diner. And about the history of the town. I just want to thank that gentleman so much for all of the information he gave us. P.S. sorry for your breakfast getting cold hopefully we could cross paths again thank you. Hopefully when the diner reads this they could thank that gentleman for me. I know being a small town like this the waitresses know this guy he goes there often.
I cannot say enough about this place!! I used to eat here with my grandmother as a little girl. I recently visited, and again, had a great experience!! The food here is so good!! Always has been!! And the friedly service and close knit atmosphere cannot be beat!! I cannot wait to return again soon!!
Restaurant has been in Cartersville for ~ 75 yrs, lots of locals there for southern comfort food! Friendly staff & always good!
Good food but surprised to pay $25 for 2 burgers, 2 fries, and 2 drinks
One of my favorite places to eat. Wishing owner and staff all the best
Just a great little diner
My first time but it was great. Good food, reasonably priced, friendly people. Its a little like going back in time. The helped is celebrate a friend birthday with a song and piece of pie! Ill be back!
Food was mediocre at best. Service was good and with a smile. No covid distancing for sure. Bacon was really chewy.
Great home town brea6
Five stars for the ambiance, three for the food, thus the four stars. Its your classic home town greasy spoon. The people there are wonderful. The service was great and the food arrived unbelievably fast. And it was good, but it wasnt stunning. My wife ordered the egg sandwich and it was literally just a fired egg on toasted white bread. I mean, I guess that is an egg sandwich. If order anything with chili, youll have to eat it with a fork. The best thing about this place is the old time vibe and feeling like youre somewhere where everything in the world is OK. Simpler times when things were better is a definite feeling here. Absolutely try it if youre in the area.
Fantastic as always! My go to lunch spot!
The food was delicious even though I had to remake my eggs and bacon. That was the first time I ever had a problem.
Wonderful food and a welcoming staff-
Went here with my Dad as a kid. Absolutely love this place!! The original chilli burger with onions and mustard!! WOOOO!! Great service even greater food!!
Great place . Great history.
The most perfect old school diner. I loved this place
Great local spot. Great service and food.
Biscuits not good at all, food got cold fast due to air conditioning blowing on it but the server was nice.
Good food, great service! I have been eating there for years!
Pleasant atmosphere and great food!
Classic diner breakfast and really good coffee, couldnt want for anything more. My Denver omelet was perfection, my daughters grits were creamy and delicious. Cant go wrong at Rosss
The food is is good but their atmosphere is amazing. Small cozy diner feel, very friendly staff.
One of the oldest places in Cartersville to get a fantastic breakfast. Great little restaurant if you want good service and great food thats handmade. Be sure to try the biscuits.
Absolutely a blast from the past!
The gravy burger is so good. I definitely recommend this place. Its a little pricey but definitely worth it.
Friendly atmosphere, good food, prices arent bad either
Loved it. A true down home favorite with classic meals that take you back to good times.
Love this place. Great people and food. Simple, well made, old school. We stop here often on our way to a round of golf, great way to fuel up for the day.
My wife, our daughter and I started a tradition of eating here every Friday Morning of her high school years. Best place for down home cooking. We love Ms. Joan. 10 stars!!
I really love their food. I always get great customer service here. The place is always clean and the cashiers are always kind. I highly recommend this place.
Great service. Breakfast is second to none.
Sweet family staff, amazing food and the best service! Been sitting on those stools since the early 80’s and now my kiddos sit on them. It’s a Saturday morning tradition for us! You won’t be disappointed!
Classic diner - since 1945 - Good food and friendly staff. Counter seating only but good way to chat with fellow diners.
Better than IHOP ill be back again
Always a great place to eat. Been going there for 60 years .
Nice help. Ambiance was unique. Food was atrocious.--Breakfast steak was as dry as burnt toast. Over easy eggs were totally runny inside. Gravy was mediocre.Tea was great, biscuits were fine, hash browns were fine.--
Bland food, great people! We had such a bland breakfast. I think people rate the place due to the nice staff and cool old atmosphere. The biscuits were not as good as Pillsbury, the gravy tasted like flour and water (where are the spicy sausage pieces?), guy next to us ordered a burger and it was like a hockey puck. Cool back in time place but it sure lacks good food.
Like stepping back in time. You just have to experience Ross Diner when in the Cartersville area. Service is top notch. Food is fantastic and you cant beat the price. The ladies there are the icing on this gem of a restaurant.
Have visited a few times after moving to Cartersville. Very good food and service is great. Highly recommend for comfort food and a very relaxed and comfortable environment.
Good food homely atmosphere good for a quick bite
Best food in Cartersville. Great people. Love this place. Affordable pricing and true southern hospitality.
This is a place where you go for a good old fashion breakfast. The atmosphere brings back memories of bar stool conversations about local news and high school football. The staff is friendly and the portions are generous. This is a spot to come for your breakfast needs.
Very good diner food. Very small location with bar seating only. The prices are very low. Hard to believe the prices. They have fried bologna sandwiches too. Bathroom is around the corner outside and through the back door. Great service.
Best home cooking. Friendly and efficient service. I love this place
Unbelievable! We just ate most of the menu. It was all very good. The steak and gravy sandwich is a must try, along with the cream corn and fried okra. Getting desert to go.
Steak burger is the best. As close to homemade as it gets. Good place. Not fancy . just good food
Blessed
Food was Awesome. I couldnt give it 4 stars on count of the waitress busing tables then getting your silverware and placing it on your table without washing her hands. They were slammed and I did see the bus boy come out regularly to bus the tables. The waitresses should not be busing tables. To fix the problem they should wrap them up in napkins in advance then they wont be touching your silverware.
Ross Diner never disappoints. Been getting their 1/1&1/2 for years and always good.
Always crowded because it is that good! A must visit in Cville
First time to eat here. Decent prices. The food is good. Service was exceptional. Loved the atmosphere of an old diner.
Great friendly service and good prices. Still has the feel of an old time diner.
One of the best restaurants in town. Warm friendly staff that always takes care of their customers.
Food was awesome as always. Getting to see Joan was even more awesome as always. Gorgeous woman.
Good food! Great service!
Ross Diner is an institution in Cartersville. I dint know quite how long its been here - I believe at least 50 years. The prices are very reasonable & the fare includes good, hearty meals. There are, of course, Southern staples such as grits, biscuits and gravy and so forth. The hospitality is down home, the atmosphere more than small town congenial and the decor hasnt changed since they went in business. In this day of off-ramp society with chain restaurants everywhere, Ross is a comfortable & good restaurant reminiscent of diners that were each unique from a simpler time
Service was friendly food was overcooked and wasnt anything spectacular.
Love the homecooked food. It is awesome!!
Nasty food if you like canned stuff, and Ive worked in restraints for 20 yrs so dont even try to tell me otherwise!!! But its my opinion and I dont like bland nasty food. Not worth the time going to.
We wanted to have breakfast at a local diner and this was a great choice! The service was prompt and friendly, the food was good, and the atmosphere was perfect. We will return when were back in town.
Good comfort food and dated but very cozy atmosphere.
Had a chili slaw dog. It was really good and filling.
I love going to ROSSS and spending time there with the owner Joan and her daughter Mandy, not to forget the great food...
Quaint place tucked in downtown Cartersville, food was good, service was excellent . Worth a try !!!
This is a great little downtown diner. Good food, excellent prices
This place is quaint. It has been here for yeeeeears. The food tastes great and its like eating from your Grandmas kitchen. Counter top set up with stools to pull up. Small inside but it is cozy. This place does get busy at lunch time! Prices are great! Staff is super sweet. Definitely worth a trip in if youre visiting Cartersville or you live here and havent yet.
Tasty food that you cant get just anywhere. Kinda like grandmas cooking and Miss Joan serves it up with a smile. We love Rosss!
Love eating at this old-style counter serve restaurant. The staff is friendly and you will always enjoy the food & nostalgia of an original small town restaurant from the 40s.
Old fashioned diner. Friendly service. Good food
Step back in time and enjoy a great breakfast or any other meal. We had to wait a few minutes for a couple of bar stools. There were no tables, just a U-shaped bar with busy waitresses bustling about taking orders from the locals seated on bar stools. Great food, quick service, and a reminder of the good old days.
Fantastic place for breakfast and lunch!
Lawyers and cops sitting on stools joshing their way through their yummy breakfasts. Waitresses who call you hon. Homemade sausage. Great biscuits and gravy. What’s not to love?
Awesome atmosphere...Great service and food!!
Love the friendly atmosphere, homey food, humongous servings and low prices.
It’s great to see places like this still around!
Catfish was Great! Okra and greenbeans were delicious! Service was friendly. Cant go wrong here!
Fast friendly service and great food
Been going here since i was a kid. I love this place. Sausage and biscuits are great! The chili burgers are as well.
Visiting from Texas it was pretty good I liked the hamburger and fried pie
Terrific scrambled eggs. Also stellar fried okra.
