DEAD ON ARRIVAL! Do not buy your mussels from this supplier. First indication should’ve been the seafood area didn’t have the usual sea smell and it really did reek of rotten fish. Secondly we had no issue with the clams but 70% of our mussels were dead. The bag it comes in is very deceiving since it’s packaged really tight. Once we cut the plastic mesh did we see our error in this purchase. Hoping it was just a small handful really was wishful thinking. This icing on the cake was the 2 complimentary rocks for added weight.Go to a fishmonger that will have the mussels loose on a bed of ice and not packaged. Especially since you are purchasing them per pound. Do not let this happen to you. Go somewhere else!
Clean store, friendly staff, even if you’re not Filipino they will treat you nicely, a lot of Filipino cuisine and restaurants nearby. Recommend this to anyone, be sure to take a bag with you, they charge you for if. They do accept EBT here, sad that they dont have a sign saying in front of the store. Parking is okay too, good amount of space.
Ive been going here for years. I love the people, the parking, and especially the food they stock. The fact that you can have them skin and fry a fish u selected is just icing on the cake. Dont even get me started on the sales they have for produce. I can only hope this place will stay bustling forever!
Everything sold here has a great taste. Im talking from experience. Plus healthy eating is what we need.
Great place to shop. But the cashier lines get pretty long.
Better go to a Korean or Vietnamese supermarkets for better quality meats and vegetables at reasonable prices.
This place has any seafood you want very fresh and clean store 👍👍
A little over price but great place! Love their skewers there!
The only place you can find porterhouse steaks. But they dont have sour cream.
Love this one better than the one in Vermont. This location is the best! They have more options on things you want. And you got all these great restaurants and bakeries around 🥰. Seafood City have better customer service than in any other grocery stores like Ralphs forsure.
Always the best selections for Filippino foods, also have Grill City inside.
Awesome place to shop. Lots of Asian products to choose from.
Incredible experience eating at the hot table! The staff are so friendly and kind. Always love coming here for lunch when Im in Carson.
Employees friendly, clean store, store laid out well. You can not beat the prices and quality of products. The store brand is very good.
If you love filipino supermarket this is the place to be. Specially when they have live blue crab for sake. Its the best!
Pretty amazing place if you ask me. The staff was super friendly and more than helpful. I will definitely come back to shop.
Super clean and organized! Awesome staff!
Large variety for seafood, veggies and meat...very clean store.
Its Okay the bathrooms are not dirty and the store is clean employees are very friendly. I also like the fact that our favorite filipino food chain is inside of this grocery store too the CHOWKING.
Not sure if this is a membership store. I purchased one item & it was almost $2 more than it was posted on the shelf. I questioned the cashier & her response was, I dont know, the register says its this price. She did not offer to check the price, or ask another cashier, so I left.
While visiting the area we got to go to Seafood city! The city we live in doesnt have places to buy our favorite Asian ingredients, so to find things here at seafood city was a great treat! Great selection, fresh fish and seafood, and all the great ingredients for cooking those good old comfort meals to make you feel like your home in the philippines/ and Hawaii! Prices were great too! Hope to come back again!
Their online order system is pretty good and the curbside pickup works very well. I have tried it a few times. Very fast and reliable
Attention Customers! Be sure to check first expiration date of the goods that you are buying! This store is selling expired goods!!!! .. .My friend who went with me for the first time to this store bought an expired bottled ginger with lemon.Later, she noticed that the expiration date was June 2019. So, we went back to the store. The customer service said she can replaced the goods. Inside, we found more expired bottles and only fewer still good. She replaced the one she bought. We informed the customer service that there are nore expired bottled with ginger.2 days after I returned back to the store and this what i found out. They removed the expiration label.. .......
Great fresh fish selection.
Well stocked, plenty to choose from - they have a Grill City + Chow King inside! Jollybee & Red Ribbon outside along with a Mom/Pop bakery that sells snacks (yema, pastillas de leche, etc) loaves of bread and rolls.
The visit it was nice except of one employee at the fish department when I ask for galonggong they told me no more and come back on Monday he said that the guy with long hair but l went back again in bring a lot of galonggong out what kind of employee you had a liars
Before this store was so Nice to shop but it change to lousy high price and dirty, mostly near expiration date items, take note cashiers error punch in your purchases.
Great service; courteous and helpful. They have great snacks, fruit drinks, and the classic Filipino ice creams! Their bbq chicken and beef skewers are delicious!
I come to this place for their fish of course. They go as far as cooking and cutting up the fish for you. The fish tastes delicious and the fish is fresh. Definitely recommend it for the fish
Great Filipino/Asian grocery shop
I visit the seafood market when I looking for crabs and other Seafood items. I also come here to buy Asian sauces and other Asian foods that are difficult to find in regular supermarket. This Market also has a variety of freshly cut Meats.
Good.Like to shop here for grocery items.Food fish dairy products etc.
Tilapias are great here. You can order ahead or pick your own and wait for them to fry the fish
Really brings home. Lol
Great choices of everything especially seafood, I buy all my fish here get it clean and fry every now and then.
Nice and reasonable prices for a super market
Like buyin fish shirmp here they clean it and fry it at no extra cost ... Just make sure your not on a rush couse there is a wait .
Most are Rude if youre not a phillipino
Great cashiers like Susan who is helpful in finding what I need to buy.
First time there. High quality, fresh seafood.
They have several imported products from PhilippinesLove everything they have
They truly understand customer service, great place for fresh fish.
I love this store, you can buy noodles, rice, Fish. Anything to cook or just microwave.
Fresh, quality fish, if you know what that looks like, is abundant here. Not to mention the location, where you can walk just a few feet and find Red Ribbon. However, the aisles and checkout are relatively cramped, so COVID fear is a little more valid.
They have a big variety of Philippine food
Nice and clean Filipino grocery store 👌.
Honestly we go there for the snacks. We tried the flan and the chicken skins and they did not disappoint!!
I like the seafood market and the pricing isnt bad but Id like to at least see someone on the floor to assist
Door Dash order. Easy pickup, but hard to park later in the afternoon.
A bit crowded for my tastes... Nice selection... even if they didnt have the specific item i was looking for...
Good people good sea products, all kinds of fish
It has a lot of hard to find Filipino and Asian items used in their cuisine.
Great selections. Nearby other filipino food store. Good parking space...
Seafood...the name says it all. I normally get some snacks and I enjoyed the food court inside. Delicious food. But I like to buy my bait there.
Good asian filipinos market with varieties of food and food essentials. Also surrounded with lots of mixed stores and restaurants. Good spot and gets really busy.
I love how friendly the workers are. This is a market that caters to our asian and islander communities. It is always very busy, between the people and the workers, but if you ask someone who works there a question, they are always happy to help and they dont rush you which I find nice as Im not familiar with all of the items they carry in store. You can always find something tasty at their grill (Im not sure if its authentic tasting, but it tastes yummy 😋. They have beautiful produce and the fish market carries many fresh fish, a lot you can select yourself which is pretty cool. They have some of the best, thickest cuts of pork belly.Highly recommend Seafood City, especially if youre looking for a one-stop market that specializes in asian/islander cuisine.Enjoy!
Love to shop here. Great food and decent prices.
Good stuff and lots of selection..
Good selection of, well, everything. I go primarily for oysters and they can be hit or miss. I have had some of the best oysters Ive ever had there.....but also had some only decent ones.
It would help with social distancing if more checkout lanes were open. In addition, when i went, they had 2 lanes side by side open and the line was backing up. They dont do much to monitor crowding at the fresh meat and fish frying area. Not enough controls in the store.
Affordable and a clean place to shop for your all favorite dishes and groceries!
This place is good for Filipinos because they have a lot of Filipino food from the Philippines there its a outstanding place to shop prices a little high but I can understand I recommend Asians go there
Love to shop there
It was good...
Good place to try out Philippines food
You arent a true blooded Pinoy in America if you dont go to this place !!!
Excellent Collection of food. Meat items. And friendly staff
Is okay I guess...THEY NEVER HEARD OF PRAWNS IN THIS ESTABLISHMENT. They have a nice and extensive amount of seafood. Wonderful prices...just who has never heard of PRAWNS
When you enter and sjp around, you feel at home.
If you have a Filipino heritage in you, shopping in Seafood City is like being in the Philippines. They have fruits that you will remind how you used to enjoy eating them back home. The whole store atmosphere is very authentic Filipino from sweets, delicacies, dishes and yes, even native brooms are available for sale. Please check it out and try Filipino food from Grill City.
This is a really good and clean Asian grocery store. It also have a Filipino restaurant you can dine inside.
I come for all the Pinoy comfort foods. I get my grilled pusit, grilled liempo, Bicol express, grilled Bangus or pork adobo, maybe the fried shrimp. I might get a six pack of San Mig Light or a pouch of Kopiko. I always find something that I cant live without.
They got almost everything that I need.
Excellent selection of food and friendly staff.
Full range of seafood and meet & pork. Situated in Carson where so much of Filipino community lives. They have some good collection of groceries and other essentials. Also they have a decent food area. Moderate prices. Recommend.
The place is clean and the staff are nice but their prices has gone up just like every store. They are also charging now a fee for the grocery bag that used to be free before the pandemic
Nice and clean short lines and they have good cooked food
Its one of the biggest Asian product stores in the area. You will most likely find what youre looking for. My only downside is how their checkout are set up. Other than that....
Good place to find Filipino ingredients or Asian ingredients. Grill City thou is obnoxiously $$$$ expensive. Love that the store is practicing covid safe protocols. Parking lot needs some little love. Workers on break should not loiter in the parking lot or make it a tambayan and smoke like it was in the Philippines. Youre in the US now, please leave your bad habits home. Other than that everything else is ok.
A decent and recommended Filipino grocery store.
Love this place..most of the knick knacks that reminds me of home is here :) very good place to shop to make filopino dishes .
Good place
Fresh vegetables and good food okay customer service could be better
I bought sone old meat (pork) will not return to that store in the future.
It was ok people were friendly, some helpful.
April 11,2021, I had an accident. The floor of the store has no sign that the floor was wet. I slipped and hit my knee. They should put a sign when the floor is wet. Had a bruised at my knee.
