Ive grown up with The Purple Avocado & always love to hear when they are voted best gift shop. If you are ever in the Carson/Reno/Tahoe area, it is worth the trip to come in and visit them in the heart of downtown Carson City. My personal favorite items this trip are the Willow Tree figurines & they had the perfect one for our little family welcoming our baby girl. Stop in. Youll be glad you did!

Super cute place. Always have such a great and pleasant experience with the owners who are very warm and thoughtful. They gift wrap for free if needed. Gift cards also available. I love this local business. They have a lot of hand made and local made stuff. Definitely something for everyone there.

Always exceptional service that makes you feel at home. Its incredible the scope of merchandise they have here from gag gifts to home decorations and even good local books. Definitely something to try out for any gifts you might want.

Great local gift and toy shop in an old house off the main blvd. Especially fun at Christmas time. Ask to look at their beautiful historic ornaments.

I love this gift shop! The owners are incredibly friendly and make you feel at home the second you walk in. They have such a wide variety of merchandise that you can find something to anyone! They are also constantly changing up their product so you will always find something new. There is a gift for everyone in this store, or even something for yourself! Very cute gift shop. Owners are an awesome couple and Bela the greeter is the sweetest puppy. We drove down from Incline Village just to see this little shop and it was well worth it.

Went to Purple Avocado looking for some gifts... left with gifts and unmatched kindness from the owner. Not only did he give us directions to some good spots for shot glasses, but he gave us many great places and directions on how to get to them to eat at.
