Kent and the entire team of experienced installation techs are incredible to work with. We recently had quite a bit of suspension work and accessories completed and we were truly impressed with the attention to detail and timeliness of all that was done. There are many challenges these days with supply constraints and skilled staff but these guys rise above it in every way possible and we really appreciate working with them. With the service I received from them and the great prices offered it is no wonder they are so busy and is well worth the wait.I went to another camper shell place Saturday to look at a couple of shells that were on consignment. Both were on the high end of the used shell pricing and were the wrong color. When I told the owner of that show how much I was quoted for the shell I purchased he told me what a great deal that was. That sealed the deal for me. This was the price they gave me and not a price that was lowered because of haggling.Long story short, if you are nearby, stop in and see them. Great prices (per their competitor) great prompt service and a friendly staff that strives to help.

Great place to get a Lance cab over camper

My wife and I bought a 2021 Arctic Fox 811 cabover camper in mid October from Kent and couldnt be happier. We were one of the fortunate ones and managed to get the last one in stock. I guess the demand right now is about 6 months out. If you are looking at purchasing a camper a camper shell or any type of suspension work these guys are the best. Kent thank you very much for going the extra mile and providing my wife and I with 5 star service. Highly recommend.

They ordered an attachment for me for my truck and installed it for me as well. I have no problem with any of that at all. They only thing I might question is the charges to install the items. They estimated 4 hours of labor when I enquired and it ended up costing 4 hours of labor. Sounds good? Thats fine, but I dropped the truck off at 9 am I was picked up by my ride at 930 and my truck was still in the parking lot waiting to be worked on. I received a call at 1130 saying my truck was done. So I had hoped the labor charges would be closer to 2 hours. But they may simply charge by the book like mechanics do. I am not sure but at $130 an hour it adds up quickly. But I have no complaints about the parts or the install and I should have asked them about the cost while I was there, but I really didnt notice until later and I was glad it was finished early on what I know was a busy day for them. I would still highly recommend them to others. They installed everything for the price they quoted, they just finished the job in about half the time that they thought it might take. So not sure if that is good or bad. I do wonder if had taken longer than estimated to do the installation if they would have charged more for the extra time, or charged only for the estimated amount.But they did a good job on the installation and I would use them again. But, I might just enquire about how the install hours are charged first. Is it based off actual time taken, or simply off the estimate?

I have been going to Custom Truck Accessories for many years now. I have bought shells, tonneau covers, and running boards. I have also had them spray in several bed liners. They always do outstanding work and the products they offer are high quality. Their pricing is consistently reasonable. Most importantly, they do business with integrity. I’ve especially enjoyed doing business with Andy throughout the years. He will always treat you right. CTA is a great business that I highly recommend.

I had a hitch installed for more than $600. After I drove off I noticed the turn signals were acting wrong. The next day I got pulled over for no running lights. I made another appointment. They told me there’s nothing they can do and take my truck to a dealership. It’s an awesome shop, I was planning on spending a lot of money there but they did not stand by there work. I can’t drive my truck to work without the lights and I can’t get an appointment at the dealership for more than a week.UPDATE: Three weeks later, two trips to the dealer, and $450 dollars later (in fees from capital ford) It seems like it is finally resolved. CTA did not ground the lights to the frame, they grounded it to the aluminum body. That caused all these problems.

They are very knowledgeable and helpful. I went in for different things and they were always friendly and helpful, even if I was not ready to buy. They even told me where I could go to get the work done faster, if needed. When I was considering a purchase they let me know the installation would be a few weeks away. I did get a rack from them. They finished right on time and did an excellent job.

Great shop for custom trucks and truck camper needs. I had a hard time locating some butyl tape in town until I stopped at this shop. Upon arrival Chad at the counter indicated they did not sell butyl tape either. So he asked how much I needed then went into the back and brought me back a strip more than I needed at no charge. I have a suburban that I got lifted with wheels and tires and I love it. It looks like a whole new vehicle. My salesman dan was super helpful and even talked me into getting a train horn which I like more than anything. I highly recommend this store for the professional work and a great atmosphere.

VERY disappointed with Custom Truck in Carson I have spent thousands of dollars with the Reno store since 2015 and never had a complaint. I recently moved to Carson and went to this store to have Tork Lift load stabilizers installed. (not a hard job) They were on time and completed the job in a timely manner. When I got home and checked the work I found they had installed the items wrong. I went ahead and re-did the proper installation. In doing so I had also discovered that two of the bolts were loose. Wasted the cost of installation to them. They need better quality control at this store. Not sure if I trust going to this Carson store for anymore work.....I want to edit my previous review. I was contacted by Andy and he was very concerned about my disappointment with the service I received. It was very apparent that he was concerned and we came to an understanding. Custom Truck of Carson defines the way businesses need to take care of its customers. I will not have a problem conducting business with this establishment. Thank you very much Andy.

Brought my Leer shell in with a broken lock wire, they fixed it in about 3 minutes then proceeded to adjust all the locking mechanisms to perfection. Better than when installed new and did not charge me a penny. I will definitely buy my next shell there.

Alright here is the deal... I bought a little toy car read every review online purchased wheels and tires that supposedly wouldnt rub, and low and behold they did... I called every place I could think of in Reno and everyone told me I had to order a lift kit and they wouldnt even guide me in the direction of what I needed (vehicle is a suzuki). I woke up today and figured what the hell let me go to the only place I could think of in town, and I ran into Dan.. Told him my concern this guy went back grabbed his tech, and before i knew it I was outside with fixed problem. What looked like a dead end turned out to be a quick and easy fix thanks to CTA and Dan Page. I cant thank you enough, and I will be back for more toy add ons for all my vehicles. Called on Thursday to have my camper looked on Monday or Tuesday. They told me the Lance camper guy would be there Monday and was then going on vacation, so try to be there by 5:30. Was there by 12:00 on Monday and they told me that the Lance guy was on vacation and would not be there until Wednesday. And he was booked for a couple of weeks. They have poor customer service in my opinion.

Called in to make an appointment for a tire rotation for the following week, walked out to my truck a few moments later, and notice I had a screw in tire. Called back Andy he got me in to fix it with 2 hours!When I got there, they had a little opening and they rotated my tires right then!These guys are there to serve their customers! I will be a customer for a long time after the service I received in my time of need!They have done all my aftermarket additions and installs and I would never go anywhere else! These guys are real pros!

My brother takes his truck here, so when Toyota was trying to get $5000 for shocks out of me (full story below), he recommended that I see these guys and get aftermarket shocks put on them rather then their obviously faulty shock system (the car had just reached 50,0000 miles) .. You get SUCHHH better performance on your vehicle.Heres the story:I bought a CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED 2015 limited 4runner in October. I took a ski trip in my assumingely reliable 4runner in March. During my next service, they told me the shocks were going out and due to the newish XREAS system it was going to cost $5000. Since I was over my miles (due to my trip) they would not cover the cost, even though I way overpaid for the car (since I am a female and they see $$), and bought all their warranties and service contracts through Toyota. However, the reason why I bought the certified pre-owned was that they were supposed to ensure everything is working properly and serviced appropriately. I AM EXTREMELY disappointed in my Toyota, this dealership, the corporation. I am 30, and a lifelong subaru owner, and wish I never switched. I have zero confidence in my car and the new shiny systems (the older cars are obviously better, my cousin has a 20 year old 4runner) in it.

Had leaks in my camper liner. They repaird them in a timely manner. I asked what the cause was and they told me who ever installed the shell didnt put on the required extra seal part that a toyota tachoma needs up by both corners by the cab! They did this at no charge! I am a 70 year old woman, they could have done me so wrong but are very honest. You dont always find that now a days. So thanks again Custom Truck and Merry Christmas!!!

I have been a customer of Custom Truck Accessories, Carson City for over 4 years and have nothing but praise for Andy, T.J. and the crew. But its when something happens or an issue arises that determines the true character of a company and its staff. A few weeks back I had heated seats installed in my Honda Ridgeline. They did a great job with the installation but, unfortunately, the rubber door seal on my Honda got ripped when they were putting the driver seat back in. Brought it to Andys attention and he immediately apologized and ordered a new seal to replace the ripped one! Its because of their action to rectify the problem, get if fixed as soon as possible and do it in a professional manner, that I will continue to do business with them and will not hesitate to recommend them to friends and family! Andy and his crew are a definite asset to Custom Truck Accessories!
