My entire family had an awesome experience here. Just a couple months prior we made a four wheeler purchase at another dealer and we’re completely scammed so we were nervous when arriving here. However, Terry made our experience very worry free. We were very quickly approved for the vehicle we wanted and terry even kindly delivered it himself to the next town over after getting off work for the night. Without him going above and beyond in such a way, the sale wouldn’t have happened. After purchase he gave us a complete run down and showed us exactly how everything worked. We are still in love with our vehicle a week later and have had no issues. We are very grateful for his help.
Outstanding experience! I live in Reno and I first tried to order my bike at Big Valley Honda, however, I was told that you have to e-mail the sales staff and make an appointment to even see them. I e-mailed them and never heard back.I called Michaels and was immediately put in touch with Mike Cannon, who is a fantastic, patient, knowledgeable and friendly salesman. He gave me a quick out the door price and I put my deposit down without any problems.It was a pleasure dealing with Michaels Cycle Works and especially Mr. Cannon and theyll have my future business and anyone I can influence down the road.
Had warranty work done on my KRX 1000 to upgrade the front knuckles to the newer style and to replace clutch weights. After picking it up I drove it 2 miles to make sure everything worked. When I got home I rotated the tires before a week long camping trip with it and found the drivers side tire loose. The tie rod end was loose in the knuckle with the nut hanging on by a couple threads. No cotter pin to be found. Could have quickly ruined my trip or been a danger if I didnt notice it. When I called to ask about it whoever I spoke to said the service manager would contact me about it. Never heard anything. Double check whatever work they do! Also confirm in email your appointment day, as we showed up the day that was agreed upon twice by phone only to be told it was the day after. The twice part because the first time they had forgotten our original call and appointment.
Called em up, did all the paperwork over the phone, drove in signed papers, they loaded my bike, I was out. About a 10 min deal, staff and salesman were super cool and friendly. The parts guy even hooked me up cause they were out of stock on some parts. 👍
Worked with Mike, he was very professional, and didnt try and push a sale on me, or upsell.Update: After further thinking, I was able to purchase a 2022 Can Am Outlander 2 up. I wanted 0 down, and low payments. Not only did they make it happen, they did it within 15 minutes. I would highly recommend anyone to shop here first before going anywhere else.

My 2019 Polaris general has been in the shop four times for noise in the front end every time I bring it in they never fix it they tell me its a belt Ive replaced the belt four times the last time the belt has 6 hours on it and youre telling me to replace it again. This machine only has 56 hours on it and 600 MI. Service writer Michael has done everything he could hes been very patient and respectful. I also have a 6-year warranty through Polaris which they refuse to fix problems that they say it just costs too much so the warranty company wont replace something if they think it cost too much.
Spent 35k on a side by side... 4k for the extended warranty they push on you, another $1,000 for a simple service and Im done. The extended warranty doesnt cover $hit and they tried selling me a belt and wheel bearings I didnt need. Over inflated my tires WAY past factory spec and my machine is covered in oil from the oil change. Im done. Ill do my own service from now on.I was contacted by Ben the service manager who I will say is very professional and genuinely seemed to care despite my Karen like aditude, he offered me some money back off the service and apologized profusely. Im still on the fence about using Michaels again for service/warranty work but Ill admit they definitely care about their relationship with their customers. I would caution you on purchasing any extended warranty however.
Simple oil and tire change out turned into a nightmare. But these guys really took care of me. They went above and beyond in my book. They might have mess up to begin with, but they made it right. I appreciate what they did, the fixes they made to my bike and kindness and the conversation. A great bunch of guys. I recommend you go and see them. I know I will be going back. - Thanks much...
I have bought a lot of vehicles in my life and most times I buy it from a distance and just go pick it up. These guys made the process super easy. No haggling, they give you a price and text it to you and then you are good to go! Terry is the man and he is one of the nicest sales people I have ever worked with. Great person all around ask for him! Thanks again Terry! I just picked up the sled and the experience was even better than I thought. The price was honored and I had a bit of ridiculous request from Terry and he went beyond everything to honor it. I know I am in Boise but I am going to drive down here to buy a side by side from them this summer. I do not care about the drive it is just simple as that, it is worth to drive here because Terry is the kind of human being you want to give more business to. My dad and I were passing through Carson City and started to get concerned with the front tire on his motorcycle. We took it to Michaels to get their opinion and they were very helpful! We ended up deciding to get a new tire. Their service and parts department were very knowledgebale and were able to get us back on the road in no time. Very happy with their work and I would go there all the time if I lived in the area!
Called this morning to buy a 90 Quad, they wouldnt sell it to me. They need to know the age of the person riding it. Its me Im 29, ridiculous. This is why we dont shop here. BTW weve bought a side by side, and two dirt bikes this year, and didnt purchase a single one here.
Very good price. No hidden fees and OTD for under MSRP. They held the bike for me without a deposit so I could drive from out of state.
My husband and I ordered a Can Am to take on vacation with us. When we ordered Terry George, our salesmen, told us the one we wanted would be shipping the beginning of March so should not be an issue with having it before our trip beginning of April. Well as with everything else, COVID had caused issues with the shipment of our vehicle. Terry was very upset that we would not have it for our vacation. He contacted another customer he knew that would be getting his ordered vehicle in the same week we were leaving and asked him if he wouldnt mind swapping vehicles with us. Then he called us and asked us if we would make the trade in vehicles. We said yes and we took our vacation as planned with the Can Am!!! Even though it was not the unit we originally ordered, we are extremely happy with it!!! More than being happy with the Can Am we are overwhelmed by Terrys efforts and going the extra 1,000% to make sure our vacation was the best it could be. These guys pulled out all the stops the gets us a new spare tire for our Honda Talon on a holiday weekend. They saved our vacation. Fantastic service buy a very knowledgeable team.
My family and I have been long time customers purchasing around 8 bikes and a utv from them. The ownership has changed and for the worst. The attitude of the employees is ridiculous. They are demeaning and have absolutely zero customer service skills. It’s sad to see such a fine establishment go down the drain. I wouldn’t recommend anyone do business with these people.
EDIT: The shop contacted me and Mike was very helpful. Received the lights. I have to say, dealing with the company on the sales front has been nothing but a good experience.I wish I could give these guys five stars. Have purchased both a new and a used bike from them. On the sales side it was a great experience. Answered my questions. Mike the sales guy was great, and one of the reasons we bought the bikes. The negative is I purchased a used bike from them in April 2018, and as part of the deal (written into the sales agreement), they promised to provide replacement blinkers. After a month, I had not received a call and went back to the store. Mike was very helpful and apologized a lot and said they would be ordered. Another six weeks went by, still no call. Went back, Mike apologized again and talked to the service department and promised me they would get them. Well, here we are in November and no lights. I was in no hurry, but a written promise is a promise, and its disappointing they wouldnt follow through. Guess Im stuck driving to the Reno Honda and Suzuki dealerships now.
The service techs are the worst put a fule pump in my unit and didnt fix the problem at all made it worse even so they put it in didnt even test ride to make sure it worked I will never go there to have work done on ANYTHING. Bottom line you gave me back a unit with out riding it in my book would be a proper test. And said it was fixed so dont try and turn it back on me because your service department didnt do what they should have. You guys are great for brand new and excesorys but fule pump didnt turn out to be problem. Its fixed now thanks for nothing. And a minor refund was given Ill give you that. It was appreciated.i have no hard feelings. Was a learning curve. But dont try to justify your negligence. And you never offered to take the fuel pump back that a lie.
The service department was outstanding! they did a phenomenal job diagnosing my machine as well as getting the repair/ warranty done in a timely fashion.The service manage Ben is extremely knowledgeable with these machines and is a man of his word he got it fixed! would certainly use and well be using this service department again for years to come!I have used other Polaris service departments in the Northern Nevada markets yeah this is the only one I will ever bring my machine back to! thanks Michaels Cycles Carson City you guys got it right!Gary Fox Jr.

I normally do not like posting negative reviews!Went in today with my family. Cash in hand standing around for 10 minutes no one asking if we need help or even making eye contact.I walk up to the parts counter thinking someone here might point me in the direction of a sales person. I was dead wrong. Guys wouldnt even make eye contact and where more intrested in conversations with fellow coworkers.There was a store front full of workers but no acts hungry for business.I dont get it. I took my business down the road at the other dealer off jacks valley road.

We bought a can am ATV from Michaels in 2013.It was a great experience! Great price and Ben in sales was a pleasure to work with.Since then we have had all our service work done at Michaels. We also have a 2007 can am ATV we purchased from a different dealer.The service dept. keeps them both going and keeps us worry free on the trail. The service dept is managed by another Ben who has gone above and beyond to help us with all our service and parts needs.We have been and will continue to be loyal customers with michaels.Looking to buy a side by side from them in the near future.Cant say enough good things about this company and their great staff!Give them a chance to earn your business and you will not be disappointed.

Good place to shop for riding gear. But they should probaly dump servicing Polaris. We had our 2007 Polaris Sportsman X2 500 H.O in 3 times and they still couldnt fix it.

These guys are about the nicest group of people that will go above and beyond to help you in any way, even when I wasnt able to get there until 10 minutes before closing. They still took the time to pull the parts I needed, help size a helmet correctly and show me a ATV that Im interested in.
Constantly getting the wrong parts. Takes forever to get them. Go to reno kawasaki yamaha or someone better where they get the parts quick and its the RIGHT part. I will no longer give any of my business to Michaels cycle works
Michael’s has worked on a few of my bikes and always done a great job. Their service department has always met the deadlines they’ve promised and are easy to deal with.
I purchased a new 2014 Sportsman 850 xp from Michaels Cycle Works in 2015. Ben (store manager) was professional, knowledgeable, and the whole experience was very stress free. He didnt try to pressure me into getting something I didnt need, like many other companies will do. He was straight forward and made sure I was happy with my purchase before, during, and even after it was all said and done. Everytime I go in now he still asks me how everything is going.Since purchasing the atv (and riding the hell out of it), Ive had it in for regular service a couple times. Ben (in service) is a straight shooter as well. Im a bit of a pain in the rear when it comes to this sort of thing. I ask a lot of questions because Ive learned over the years that a lot of business like to hike up prices and charge you for things that you didnt need. There was no BS from Ben. He explained everything to me in detail, in a professional manner, and most importantly, he was honest.A lot of places will drop you like a bad habit once the sale is done, but thats not the way these guys work. Ive purchased many new vehicles over the last 20+ years and this has been the best experience Ive had by far.
The third recall on my Yamaha must be fixed. Had to ride 45 minutes to reach it from home in 45 degree weather and wait three and a half hours for the job to be done. But as of yet the job successful
I had been a customer of this store in the past (20years ago) just recently purchased 2 used sleds. Went in to buy 2 stroke oil (Redline to be specific) $91. When I asked why it was so expensive guy behind service desk replied we only keep few for die hard Redline loyalists I replied I had found it for as low as $57. Online and $65 in Reno store .. his reply was as follows.... (ok???... thats a great deal.) Nothing more nothing less Implying I should take my business there.. I just smiled turned and walked away... plan on buying more gear and fluids this season and just got approved (wife) to purchas a new sled next season I will take the time and effort to travel elsewhere.
I had a problem with my side-by-side Michaels made all the phone calls So that everything was covered under warranty I never had to worry about a thing service department service managers are the best so accommodating I Highly recommend them
I called yesterday to find out about a bike that they had in stock. I was led to believe that if I came in, sat down with the store manager, and told him that I wanted to take a bike for a test ride, that I would most likely be able to. However, after driving 45 miles to get there, the store manager wanted me to fill out a credit app before the test ride to ensure I was trapped into buying the bike. This was after I was ignored for the first 20 minutes I was there. I ended up leaving, without the semi-promised test ride, and will not be suggesting them to anyone in the future. Thanks for the waste of gas!

Very nice people to work with, only thing keeping from 5 stars is that it can be hard to get a hold of someone sometimes. In their defense, they seem to be quite busy.

If I had a choice I would pick a negative star. Spent $6000 plus to a new engine in my Polaris and it leaks in the front, the back, and dies continuously. This is my third time down to the shop and this is unacceptable!!
Went in to buy a Polaris rzr last year they said same price cash or credit so we went to cycles and gear and got a much better price, yesterday I called to get a price on a new bike for my wife they quoted 500 dollars more than BVH they said they would match the price but when we called back today the sales man doesnt work there anymore and they need a written quote, dont waste your time.
Parts manager was extremely rude when I was asking on the specific parts for Can Am Maverick. Will never shop in that store again!

No helpful at all went in walked around for a few never had any of the associates come up and even ask what we were looking for. If they dont want to take the time to talk to customers then why even bother buying from them.
