Stopped in looking for non-existent ammo and saw a handgun I wanted but, unfortunately, wasnt for sale (used for their training classes) but at least I was able to hold it and close my eyes and imagine it was mine for a few seconds. Friendly, knowledgeable, and, and informative. Cant wait until gun and ammo manufacturers start shipping again so I can spend money here like a drunken sailor.

After being in the firearm industry for over 48 years, Carson Guns is a great place to visit for your firearms training, reloading supplies and firearms transfers. Knowledgable staff with great friendly attitudes. Definitely an A Plus Rating.

Me and my wife just completed our ccw class. THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO IF YOU NEED YOUR CCW. These guys are amazing. Every single instructor we met was so knowledgeable and helpful. They make everything easy to understand and really make you feel comfortable. I have bad anxiety with pretty much everything and of course I was nervous when I first walked into the classroom, and they just made me at ease with the way they approach and explain everything. and they answered all my questions perfectly.Seriously. Do not go anywhere else. This place is honestly so awesome and helpful. They made it fun.I feel like I got a lot out of the class other than just my ccw.

First time I came in was for an RSO class. Great instructors and a great up set for classes. Not only is the simulator a lot of fun, they can run some scenarios that really test your judgement and ability to react to unexpected threats. The owners not just an NRA instructor, hes a training counselor: he instructs the instructors. The Team Ten-X days are low-pressure matches that are fun for experienced and new shooters alike. Even my wife enjoys them, and is getting more into shooting because of it. I like buying local, and they always have great deals on Franklin Armory guns made down in Minden. The addition of reloading presses and supplies and classes (hopefully soon!) is icing on the cake. Definitely worth it to stop in and say hello!

The instructors are knowledgeable, patient, and helpful. They make the learning experience very enjoyable. Professional yet personal. This is the place to be if you want to learn about firearms and proper procedure. I am very impressed.

Ive been here a couple times and havent been impressed at all. Not much to choose from and what they do have isnt priced very well. Im in the market for a dueling tree and the one they have is $500 and looks absolutely terrible, like its been left out in the rain for a couple years. Clearly not well made either. Ill avoid this place from now on.

I have no direct experience with this store, but after reading the comments and the owner’s responses (especially to the negative ones, I am inclined to try this store next time I have a need for a weapon, ammo, or training.

Hands down the best CCW class I have had so far. Entire staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The training simulator is the best!!!!

Clean and spacious sales floor. Lots of inventory and can order anything in. Nice people, awesome classes and a state-of-the-art digital simulator! Very cool place to hang!

A new shop in town that is for sure going to grow! Lots of new and used pistols and rifles going in and out of the shop with very friendly sales people. Plus, various training courses available! A great place to stop in and check out.

The owners are very nice and knowledgeable. The simulator is incredible, so much fun while presenting scenarios to sharpen your skills. This place is definitely worth a look.

I have been in this shop multiple times bought some ammo for my ar-15 and some mags for it as well together the price was better than other places I have bought ammo from and mags. The shop floor is very spacious and love the metal trex display inside and really thinking of doing my ccw class here as well. I recommend it to everyone.

Highly reccomend to anyone. Very accepting shop and extremely knowledgable. Lots of selections for firearms, ammo, accessories, and targets. Good choices for classes and training courses as well. If your looking for a basic firearm safety class or advanced ccw training course, they offer it all. I am very satisfied and got all my concerns, questions, and problems solved.

I asked the sales lady (and co-owner) if they had anything in 7mm-08. She said yes, right here and brought out a nice looking Ruger 77 MKII in great condition with nice wood. Unfortunately I didnt have my reading glasses and couldnt examine it closely, but it appeared very well cared for. I bought it (for $650 including tax) and took it home. I ordered rings to mount a scope. When the rings came I went to mount the scope (now with reading glasses on) and niticed it was actually a 7MM Remington Magnum not a 7mm-08. I took it back to the store (less than a week after the purchase) where they told me the law doesnt allow them to accept returns on guns. They did offer to buy it back for $400 ($250 less than I paid for it). Not so much as an apology for their error.If you decide to buy somethig here take whatever they tell you with a large grain of sal.t
