I had a great experience at this location. The cashier, y, was so friendly and made me feel very comfortable. I wish there were more kind hearted people like her in this world!

Love this place....but they dont have duck feed on hand. You have to order it. Other than that, its a really nice place. Very neat and organized. And the people who work there are nice to. Ill be going back,they got a lot of stuff there. Reasonable price is too

Wow. I’m not usually one to leave reviews but I just left and I felt like I needed to give them five stars. Not only were they the only place nearby that had what I needed but everyone was so friendly and helpful. I don’t think I’ve ever had that great of service anywhere. As a bonus, their garden center is beautiful and they have a wonderful selection.

They care for their plants! Such a wonderful change from other places that dump a ton of water on everything.... everyday. Plants looked so healthy! I loved walking through and seeing everything. The prices were great. I saw the reviews with the poor customer service, and I cant speak to that. I like to mosey by myself. The cashier was polite. I will be back!

The store is setup great, beautiful landscaping demos, etc. Wouldve gave them 5 stars if they had any respect for their customers. With that said, the cashier I had was very rude and never said one word (I literally spoke to her, and she did NOT reply) to me as she was having a conversation with another customer who had just checked out...their conversation also delayed my ability to check out, as I stood there waiting to make my purchase. He was apparently a repeat customer. I am understanding of having a good relationship with your customers; But why be disrespectful to new customers? I wasnt even going to leave a review, but the same issue occurred when my mother-in-law went.Prices are also extremely marked up on a lot of items. Sale items can be purchased at Lowes or Home Depot for less.They have a 5-star rating, and Im all about buying local, but if youre NOT a repeat customer, or are okay with being treated like dirt, I would avoid this place. I would go to Lowes (Home Depot, generally speaking, sucks too)!Also, if you check out their clearance corner, its either non-existent or I missed it. However, whoever is in charge is at least trying, because the employee entrance is on this side with a motivational sign posted on the door. The cashier I had clearly didnt read this sign, or was illiterate.

Everyone is very nice. They have excellent customer service. Definitely a great place to get what you need.

This was by far the best ace hardware I have been to in a while, they have a way better & wider selection then most. They were very helpful and didnt rush me out even though they were closed and I didnt know it and slow shoped for almost an hour...oops🤦‍♀️

I stopped in to get an extra key cut for my Honda Goldwing. The Honda Goldwing requires a long key so you can lock the handlebars. Ace does not carry the blank for the Goldwing, it must be ordered. So I ordered my own blank and requested Ace to cut it for me. The customer service rep refused to cut it because it was not ordered thru Ace. I call BS because what does it matter who orders the blank ? By the way, I was told to order it by another Ace manager at another location, which I did. So, long story short, customer service is lacking at the Carrollton location. I went to the Temple location and they provided excellent customer service and I was able to get all my keys done .

I received second hand embarrassment from the customer service in the place. It took 3 people 20 mins to figure out a $5 off coupon. One of which was the store manager Frank. I ended up not using the coupon, as I just begged for them to let me just pay full price and go. I wasnt interested in stand there any longer .. I truly stumped the staff with a coupon they issued.. Bless them!!

ACE hardware stores are all owned not by a large corporation but instead by local people. This means every one is different and unique, they all have local flair. This store is amazing, everything you need in a hardware store but also the best plant place in Carrollton. You want peppers? Yup. You need a handle for a shovel? Yup. You want boy scout gear? Yup. You want a Frisbee for Frisbee golf? Yup. You want chickens? Yup. This store has You covered.

Staff is always friendly and helpful. This is by far my favorite hardware store to go to.

I went to get a key cut store policy is no outside keys so I was told to purchase a key I agreed to but for 10-15 min I was being convinced that I was going to pay$150 for the key instead of getting the damn key I requested finally got it but found out I need to have my vehicle to complete the process to many Chiefs and not enough Indians in that store

Most staff are friendly except one kinda grumpy guy that runs the register sometimes. Most everyone else has been helpful, friendly, and informative, though. We also bought six of our Rhode Island Reds here and all six have done very well. Theyve got good looking plants outside and the Koi pond is stellar! Its definitely a good resource for our area.

Theyre local friendly and usually have whatever i need and are glad to help anyone in the store. Another good thing here is they can make you a key copy for auto motorcycle atv and home door locks as long as they have a blank left in stock you can have a spare cut in about 2 mins for a couple bucks ive used them for keys for a dozer an atv my motorcycle and home door locks... im bad about misplacing my keys so i always make a spare lol

They are the go to store. If there is something you are looking for, and just dont know who would sell it? Chances are that Southern Home & Ranch center has it! The store is a full on hardware store, plus it has all these cute little things that are wonderful to look at if you arent into hardware. The associates are extremely helpful. I once had a gentleman carry my things to my car, without me asking him to. Wonderful. The selection of plants (in warm weather) is amazing. But since I dont have a green thumb, it just take in the beauty from afar.

Really cool store. Buy most of my disc golf discs here locally

Oh it was great...needed to get a few things for a job I was doing in the area... associate who helped was friendly and helped me find all I needed...was in and out,and treated like a valued customer!

The employees here are so helpful every time I go there. My wife loves this place and brags all the time about how nice the employees are. Its comforting to know there is always a helping hand available when she is shopping for supplies by herself. Expect to be greeted at the front right when you walk in and offered help with finding an item. The service here is far above other big box stores.

I buy a lot of my garden plants from here. They have a great selection and good prices most of the time. The only issue I ever have is that they sometimes are extremely overpriced on certain things, and the pricing can be inconsistent. Overall, a decent store, tho.

I love the customer service at this place. And the selection of products like high-quality toys for children, high quality shoes for men and women, and lots of seasonal gift ideas. The price for a pound of high-quality pecans was fair market. And the price I paid for a board game for a Christmas gift for a nephew and a godson was competitive with the cheapest online offerings available at this time.

Large variety of everything. The only BSA scout shop around here. A bit pricey unless you hit the clearence sale. But nice clean store

Called ahead to ensure they had a full line of stocked Boy Scout uniform items and was assured they do. Drove 35 minutes to get here only to find a small corner where virtually everything is out of stock or not stocked at all. If you need unit numbers, this is your place. Anything else? Don’t waste your time.

Southern Home & Ranch is a key part of Carrollton history and offers a personal touch from the big-box home improvement retailers in town. While the selection can be limited and prices a bit higher, the personal service and friendly touch are well worth it. The garden center that is part of the store offers an amazing selection of plants that are hard to find anywhere else in Carrollton. I highly recommend them for the large hanging Boston ferns that they sell in the spring. The store also sells boy scout clothes and handbooks for those not wanting to make the trek to the Atlanta store.

It is one of the nicest Ace Hardware stores Ive ever been to. They have everything. The garden area is also awesome. I definitely recommend this place. God bless.

Great place to find things you need to use for your yard such as to kill bugs in your lawn that do damage go your lawn and kills ants too including carpenter ants which are hard to kill. They look like piss ants but are carpenter ants. They get in your house and no matter how hard you try to kill them they just keep coming back but here they sold me this stuff and it killed all the ants including lawn bugs that destroy your lawn.

VERY knowledgeable, and helpful. Its so fun to look around, you never know what youll find. Wonderful treasures.

This is a deluxe version of the Ace Hardware. They are very friendly and should have anything that you need. I would highly recommend this place.

I go there for the disc golf selection. Theyre the only pseudo specialty store in town for it, which is almost a crime with such an amazing course in town. REALLY wish they carried one or two more brands. Theyve got such a huge section of Prodigy, which isnt exactly great.

A great place to shop! They have much more than normal hardware and paint supplies! The gift selections are amazing!

THIS STORE AND THE PEOPLE THERE ARE GREAT. You dont walk yourself to death like in a big box store. The people have been in this business for decades and know what you need and exactly where every item is located in the store. They carry things that you have a hard time finding at bigger stores. They also have a great outdoor section with the best plants in town.
