As I read some of these reviews I dont know if we are talking about the same place. My wife and I have been bringing our trucks here for 3or4 years. Jason and his staff have shown nothing but professional and friendly service, Ive taken my truck there for loose wires and whatnot and he fixed it without charging me....you do not find that ANYWHERE any more. They also have fit our trucks in their busy schedules and is much appreciated. This is where me and my wife are going to spend most of our stimulus so we can encourage more businesses to be like this one. Integrity, honesty, fair prices and great work is what you will find here if you dont like these things maybe this isnt the place for you. Thanks again Jason and your staff

Fast, inexpensive, but great quality service.

We brought my vehicle to this repair shop for a water pump replacement and extensive suspension repair. I stress to him over the telephone that the suspension was in really badd shape and nissan recommended it be fixed immediately for the safety of the driver and passengers. Once he spoke to my wife he downplayed the suspension issue as if it was not a problem and decided to do the quick easy repair of the water pump and then get the vehicle out of his shop due to him being busy. That to me shows absolute no regard for anything but a quick buck. Water pump makes a terrible noise almost as if it has not been replaced. To make things even worse when I was cleaning the vehicle one afternoon I discovered 5 engine bolts sitting up in the plastic housing around the windshield wipers, this was very troubling to me because they were from him and that means that within engine 5 bolts are not where they need to be. I honestly feel if I take it back you will throw the bolts in the trash can and claim that he had installed them. I mean this is elementary, if you take your vehicle to a mechanic and he forgets to install not 1 not 2 but 5 bolts back in the area he was working and leaves them up on the hood of the vehicle, this tells you you are at the wrong mechanic grab your keys and run for the hills. I will never in my life recommend this place and at least twice A-day I will make sure I tell somebody throughout my day about my experience with affordable auto repair. And on top of that I just dont understand how a mechanic can downplay such serious issues and just go for the quick easy repair and even then not even put all the bolts back in the engine. Anybody can be and auto mechanic, but not everybody can be a professional.I had to go back and edit my review, what also highlights the lack of professionalism is if you read their responses to the feedback they use it as a platform to argue and get the last word. This to me is pitiful and this is why they will never have my business that shows a lot about somebody when they use the feedback as a way to get the last word and. Hey buddy customers always right remember that.

I hate to be that person, but honestly if I could give this repair shop 0 stars I would.I took my Hyundai Sonata to this shop because my window had fell into my door. They fixed the issue in no time, I paid, and went to head home.As I soon as I got inside my car and closed the door I realized the door wouldn’t close all the way. To get my door to close completely I had to SLAM my door.This was not an issue before I delivered my car to them. I brought this issue to their attention and they tried to insult me by blaming it on the amount of miles I had on my car.I won’t hold you up any longer, I just want to say if you do take your vehicle to this repair shop, they may repair the issue you brought your vehicle in for, but you’ll surely leave with a few more issues that you didn’t have before.Leave your car here at your own risk.

Premium service - but a premium price. It is by far one of the finest mechanic shops I have been to since I been in college . Their service, work, and ethics are unmatched. I have recommended them to anyone who needs car work, and will continue to do so in the future. All of that being said, they are not cheap. You will pay more here than other shops, but you will also get a team of dedicated professionals who will bend over backwards to help you out, who will take the time to happily explain everything that needs to be done, and will stand by their work. In my opinion well worth the price.

I experienced GREAT service from the pros at Affordable Auto Repair. They were efficient, straightforward, respectful, and friendly when I had repairs performed there several times. They could have easily up-charged me because I dont know much about cars and parts, etc. but the bill was always surprisingly reasonable and far under what I would have guessed the repair would cost. The work was completed in the time frame they originally stated. ( I like how the owner responds respectfully to the very few less-than-stellar reviews with FACTS and I hope these good people dont take others failure to take responsibility for their own mess to heart. My Nissans AC wasnt working, compressor was not kicking on. They repaired it in one day and my kids and I are thrilled that we have cold air again. Good price for the work.Jason was great at communicating about the compressor pricing and had it done while I was at work. Nancy even stayed a few minutes after 5 so I could pick it up the same day.They replaced my serpentine belt without communicating with me until afterwards. An extra $36, no biggie, but I had one at home.All in all, a good shop.

After calling around and reading reviews I decided to have this place swap an engine in my truck. After multiple delays (one being because no one there even knew how to test a starter) I got a call that my truck was ready. I went to pick it up and as soon as I starteded it, it was skipping so badly it barely ran. The guy who had avoided me this time since I got there immediately ran over and stated that I didnt set the timing cause I dont got a timing light a guy was suppose to come by yesterday and do it but never did... I meant to call you about that.. After asking if I just wanted to take it like that I told him I would rather just pick it up once its fixed correctly since I had said multiple times during the delays that that was OK I would rather have it done right than fast. After dropping the keys off in the office I saw the truck in full, from across the parking lot and there were two large areas where the body had been crushed in by the lift on one side where they had failed to put it on the lift correctly. Immeidiatly upon mentioning putting my truck on the lift the guy ran out striaght out to the damaged areas saying he didnt know anything about it. After some back and forth he agreed (undeniably) it was the lift and they would set the timing and repair the damage. I got a call the next mornig saying the truck was ready? When I got there this time the timing was ok but the BODY DAMAGE had just been crudely beaten the other way from the back (I assume by steavie woder) and spray painted black with primer. After taking the truck with the assurance it would be repaired it has been about three to four weeks and cant seem to get any resolution. Point being if it was $2 for them to put a blinker bulb in or $200 for a crackhead to do it...I got more faith in the crackhead.

This is the shop youre looking for if you want fast, capable, honest, and fair service. Affordable Auto Repair replaced the motor in our old farm truck, gave it a thorough check-up, and put it back on the road at the same price they initially quoted. We then drove the truck 650 miles to Indiana and it purred happily the entire way. Very happy with these guys.

Absolutely fantastic! I went in because my oil was low and all the oil I put in kept coming out. Come to find out, somebody drilled a hole in my oil pan and tried to plug it with a rubber plug. The people that worked here searched very hard to find me a replacement that wasnt too expensive and gave me an oil change and everything else all for a very affordable price. The atmosphere was lovely and everyone was extremely kind. I would definitely not hesitate to return for any future repairs.Thanks so much!!

Jason was awesome! I originally went in for a tune up and even asked him to check and see what else might be wrong with my kia. He told me two other things that were wrong and gave me a great price for everything done. And was able to tell me some other things that might be wrong, super friendly and fast work, also cheap but great wor . He answered all my questions and didnt mind me asking alot. Will definitely recommend him to everyone and will be going back!

I had to get a new engine for my 08 Nitro. I needed at least $1600 for them to get started. They were nice enough to allow my vehicle to sit there for 2 days until I got the money. They started right away after that. They had my vehicle completed with a few days. They drove me in it before I paid the remaining balance and my car runs excellent. Told me about future upkeep and everything. I spent $3500 on parts and labor and I know I got a good price. I will go to them for everything from here on out. Im a happy customer and will recommend to everyone.

Jason came highly recommended by a friend and I have heard from several other people that he is a wonderful mechanic. However... I took my car in for an alternator on Wednesday and was told I would have it Friday at the latest. They never called or updated me on anything. I called on Monday and was told that they were working on it (as if it wasnt promised last week. Tuesday evening I go and pick my car up and its $70 more than the price quoted because he felt like I would want Freon because it was low and he replaces a battery terminal that could only be bought from NISSAN. He did NOT consult with me before doing these unnecessary repairs. This cost me a day out of work (Saturday as I could not catch a ride to ROCKMART) and a $25 cancellation fee at my doctors office on Monday afternoon! So if youre on a budget or have only one vehicle I would not recommend this place. If you have time and money to throw away then this is the place for you! He may be an exceptional mechanic but his ethics ar questionable.

Jason and Mike went above and beyond to help me figure out not only the issues with my car, they also went above and beyond to check on any possible warranties on it. They are empathetic which is very rare to find with mechanics! I am overly pleased with their service. Oh and I cant forget the pleasant receptionist Nancy! She made the wait time very pleasing!

I took my car here to get new ball joints and brakes on all four tires a little over 1 year ago. Recently I noticed a clunking noise while braking. I took my car to a different mechanic to get the brakes checked again and found out the lower ball joint was not secured before and now needs replaced again at a high cost to me.To add to this, I feel they took advantage of my not knowing much about cars when I was there, they tried to get me to pay more before offering a cash price much lower than original offer, and they were aware I was moving states soon and so did not do their best work.Go somewhere you can trust.

I was charged 300 dollars to put a crank shaft sensor on my car. My car broke down the next day. Another sensor was put on at another shop for 130 dollars. I researched the bad sensor they put on and it had actually been recalled. This was last week. They were well aware that was down to my last few dollars in a new place alone with my 4 yr old daughter.

Jason was very professional, keep me informed, replaced the radiator in one day (a Monday) and the charge was reasonable. The only way this experience could have been better was if it never happened.

They had our car ready within 24 hours. We had the timing belt, water pump, tension pulley and the pulley changed. Polite, helpful and descent price.

I brought my truck to this establishment to have my brakes checked, and it was an absolutely horrible experience. I dropped it off, and 2 hours later I was called and told that I was going to be charged $675 for repairs that i didnt ask for and that he could do nothing else. Not having the funds available, I returned to pick up my vehicle and was informed that it would cost me $65 to get it. Apparently this was the charge for having it looked at, that I was not informed of until after the fact. To add even more insult to injury the mechanic informed me that I could not have my truck unless I had it towed from his shop. I was only informed of these stipulations and charges after they had possession of my vehicle and keys. All the while no work has been done to my vehicle. And lets not forget that they have the audacity to call themselves affordable.

Everyone should avoid Affordable Auto Repair. Although you pay a cheap price, it’s for cheap work they don’t stand behind.I took my Accord to AAR because it was leaking oil. AAR said that it was the valve cover gasket and related seals, so they replaced those (cost: $400). But after I got the car back it still leaked oil. When I took it back, AAR told me that the front spool valve seal was now leaking, so I let them replace that whole assembly (cost: $120 for labor, plus $170 for the part which I ordered myself). While AAR had my car, I also had them replace a few bulbs in the dash, which they had to remove the radio to get to (labor cost: $250). But after they put the radio back in, it wouldn’t accept its anti-theft code, so it wouldn’t work. AAR didn’t know why, so they said I had to take the car to a dealer. Also, when I picked up the car that time, it reeked of cigarette smoke, and I’m a non-smoker. So while it was there, one of the guys smoked in it or around it with the windows down. Then the next day I found that the car was STILL leaking oil. So I went ahead and took the car to the dealer.Honda pulled out the radio and found that a connector on it wasn’t fully seated. After they plugged in everything tightly, the radio started working again. Honda found two leaking parts – the oil pump seals and the valve cover gasket that AAR had already replaced. Honda said that some seal AAR replaced was either improperly seated or somehow put in wrong, and AAR also hadn’t used any Hondabond sealant like Honda recommends. So I had the dealer fix it all.I called Jason at AAR about what Honda found. I sent him some pics Honda took of the oil leaking from the valve cover gasket, along with the Honda invoice that included $675 to fix the valve cover gasket and $290 to reseat the radio, both of which I’d already paid AAR to do. But Jason implied that Honda was making up everything. He blew off what the dealer said about the radio, even though it’s obvious AAR didn’t plug in something right or it wouldn’t have quit working. He claimed that the oil in the pics could’ve “been there from before,” as if neither AAR nor Honda would’ve cleaned up old oil around that seal when trying to diagnose the leak problem? That’s absurd. Then Jason fed me some baloney about not being able to warranty the valve cover gasket work because I didn’t bring back the old seals from Honda. But, did AAR give me back the valve cover gasket or front spool valve assembly THEY replaced? Nope. So I’m supposed to trust Jason, yet he can accuse the dealer’s shop foreman of padding my bill? But Jason admitted that they didn’t use the Hondabond sealant. So even if the seals weren’t put in wrong, AAR definitely didn’t follow the sealant procedure per the dealer. But Jason didn’t seem to care about that recommendation, which is pretty poor for a place who touts that they only use Honda parts.Jason initially offered to get the inside of the car cleaned due to the smell. But despite Honda having to re-do work I’d already paid AAR to do, Jason just kept saying he couldn’t warranty the other work. He said I should’ve brought the car back to him to re-do the gaskets, even though two visits to AAR hadn’t fixed the oil leak yet and also left me with a malfunctioning radio. For all I know, maybe the oil pump seals were the cause of the leak all along, and AAR did a lot of unneeded work after misdiagnosing the problem? But what I DO know is that one visit to Honda resolved both issues. So I expected Jason in good faith to at least meet me partway and refund the valve cover gasket labor and make good on his cleaning offer. I was patient and polite on several phone calls about this until Jason kept making excuse after excuse and I finally hung up. Now he’s ignoring my requests for at least a partial refund. So he’s lost all future business from me, my friends & family, my company (if I can help it), and anyone else I know who asks for my recommendation.

This guy is great at working on cars! He treats women very well. He isnt a shark. He worked on my friends car for half the price of another person and she didnt have any problems after he fixed it. That led me to take my car to him. My air wouldnt work on the strongest option and he said it was simply a fuse. He proceeded to fix everything else for an extremely reasonable price. So I recommended him to another friend. She had a knocking sound around her tires. Other shops tried charging $50 to look at the issue. Then they told her it was a $400 issue. He jacked the car up and realized it was just a misplaced bolt and charged her $25. He also worked on my girlfriends car for a great price. Now Im sending another friend there. These cars are 94 Honda Civic(I think), 2000 Chevy Blazer, 07 Chevy Equinox, 01 Chevy Impala and 04 Expedition(I think). The only thing I dont go to him for is my oil change and thats because the guy at Pep Boys in Douglasville is super cool with a great price. But check this place out for all of your needs. Youll love the service.

My 2004 BMW 545iA had a little work done by others previously to help with my transmission being in limp mode, not coming out of 2nd gear Ever, top end in this V8 baby of mine was 26 MPH for about 4 months. And it Literally happened to this car Right after I bought it last September & Ive been dealing with this miserable driving machine ever since!NOBODY ELSE has been able to bring it out of this nightmare! I would not encourage anyone to use this place at all. They charged $188 to recharge an ac knowing the compressor dont work and then want twice as much as the average cost to put a compressor on it. They preferred to be paid in cash. Beware! Steer clear of this place for your auto needs.

They left me with a broken down car $465 later . Yea they fixed what they said they did .But they knew it was still messed up . Instead of being honest they let me drive my car off the lot knowing it was going to brake down.Sorry bastards
