Five stars. I have a huge diesel dually truck and I bought two optima batteries at this location about 2 years ago. Almost $500.00 One of the batteries went bad so my mechanic suggested I take the battery back for a refund. Honestly, I thought it would be a waste of time. Return a bad battery 2 years later. Yea right. I called ahead and the rep was super nice. Said he would order new batteries from another store to be ready the next day. Went in the next day. Gave them my receipt and the battery. They tested it and said it was bad and brought out a brand new battery. No questions asked. These batteries are about $250 a piece. Super nice staff and very knowledgeable. Five stars!!!

My go to store for anything car related. Good selection, always find what I need, but the best part is definitely their people.Today, I came and had issue with my truck not starting as I picked it up from the shop next door. John, one of Advance Auto Parts team member at the store went far above what is expected. He came and help us with the service equipment Advance has in their stores, not only once but twice, before coming with his personal car and jumper cables.

Advance auto parts in Carrboro, NC. 305 Main St. Walked in seeking an answer to a problem. The parts representative didnt hesitate. Took me out to my car. Answered all my questions. Advanced Auto parts in Chapel Hill, NC., another great auto parts store. You can trust these stores and their representatives. Now, the other side of the coin. Stay away from the Advanced Auto parts store in Hilton Head Island, SC. I wrote a review about this store earlier this year. I was so upset, I wouldnt even return the part for a refund.

Stopped in after work about my battery. They came out checked it, said I needed a new one, put the new one in and I was on my way. Maybe 45 minutes max from start to finish.

The boy who installed my new battery did a sloppy job - bolts that hold it in were not tightened down properly and he did not push the cables all the way down onto the posts before tightening. Probably wanted to get back into the A/C ASAP, and I guess I cant blame him. Hey, if you want a job done right, do it yourself - but I did not want to have to drive back in to bring the old battery back to get the core charge. OTOH, they gave a pretty good discount; also, the new battery was taller than the old one, and they supplied me a longer hold-down bolt for no charge.

I went to AA in Carrboro, NC. Folks are nice enough, but gave me the wrong rear turn signal replacement bulb for my vehicle. I watched a couple of YouTube videos on how to replace the bulb and realized the bulb looked different. I took it back to exchange it and the counter person asked if Id disassembled the light panel which I hadnt because I didnt want to have to do it twice. He told me it was the correct bulb and it would save me a trip from having to come back again to get the bulb I already had. Well.... I took the light assembly panel off and yep, you got it, its the wrong bulb!!!!! So I will have to make another 10+ mile trip to return it. Bummer... ! I ordered a bulb from Amazon and will stick with Napa parts stores in future for local pickup.

The employees at Advanced Auto Parts in Carrboro were incredibly efficient and helpful! They worked with us to find the very specific part that we needed. Unfortunately, the ford part we needed was only sold by ford, so they gave us a refund for the part we purchased and told us where the nearest ford was. Very helpful and knowledgeable.

My check engine light came on early this morning. I went into Advanced Auto right at 7:30 and asked if someone could run the diagnostics on my vehicle. I was pleasantly surprised with their customer service (especially walking in as soon as they open). I didn’t catch the gentleman’s name that helped me but, he couldn’t have been any nicer.

I dont know where to begin with this...in short, I made an order online to pick up in store and arrived four hours later to find my order incomplete. After 3 hours of waiting and being sent to and from the store on Fordham, Blvd, I left to begin my project (having been to this location 3 separate times). Once beginning my project, I found that I was given the incorrect transmission filter, and will have to venture into the store yet again to return it. Needless to say, I will be unable to allow myself to patron this location again. More staff? Better staff? Improved communication between upper management and in-store personnel? More thorough training? I dont know what the solution to this problem is, but this store is abundant with issues. Unfortunately, this is not my first negative and exhausting experience at this location.

I went in this afternoon (5/16/2018) to buy a common radiator cap like the sample that I had with me. The man behind the counter said he needed to know the vehicle it fit. When I said it was not from a vehicle, he said then he could not look it up and therefore could not sell it to me. What a joke. He was too lazy to get up and even look for one. I was the only customer in the store.

Had a faulty head light situation. Gentlemen named Josh helped me over the phone to trouble shoot. Came by the store and he helped me look up the part and check with other stores to find it in inventory. Got new bulbs as first part of the troubleshoot and they worked! He was Very helpful and went above and beyond the call of duty.

WORST SERVICE EVER! Called to see if they had a recharged battery. Spoke to Christine, she said they did, in the size I needed. I asked her to hold it, I would be there to buy it around 5p. She said ok. I get there and its gone! And she could care less! She calls their other location to see if they have one and tells me they have a smaller one! So??? And hello? I told you I had to get a jump to even get there. She just stared at me. I will never shop at or recommend this store to anyone! The company name is being put to shame.

Good luck getting anyone to check you out. Ive left parts sitting at the register twice because the only employee couldnt work the register while shooting hillbilly-bull. I wasnt even at the front of the line. There were student-looking types complaining about no service when I walked in. I hollered at the fellow to ask if he was working and he said yes, then went back to fishing stories. 2 out of 2 times, forget it!
