Very lovely indoor and outdoor nursery with lots of plants I have never seen in person before like carnivorous plants! Hope to come back and get way more houseplants very soon!

Walking among the many green things you may stumble upon the desire to grow yourself. It is only natural that the plant inside us all might want to get out and play among its like.

My family and I dont come very often but we do every once in a while. Last night when my family and I went, it was our first time to get a Christmas tree from here. The selection was huge and organized, which made things easier to deal with and know what we wanted and the price range in which we wanted to spend. The gentleman whom helped us with our tree was great. He was very pleasant and did a fantastic job with getting the tree ready for us, and loading it up. The other associates were just as nice and were willing to help however they could.The store looked beautiful and there was a lot of decorations to look at that we wanted to buy. They did a great job setting the place up for Christmas.Plus, they had free hot cocoa.

I have been a client here for some time. They did an excellent job installing a garden and i have bought many things including a couple of very nice lawn metal pinwheels. Recently one of the pinwheels lost its anchors and would not stay up. I was upset that while it was in good condition, i could not use it.I stopped in and talked to a manager. I explained the situation and she told me she would contact the manufacturer. She then called me to say that the company had provided a new anchor base. I am extremely impressed by this level of service. It makes me feel very valued as a client. This excellent service has earned my admiration and respect- and my future business. Thank you!

Great. We were there for annuals for spring planting. Great selection. Will probably go back when some other spring/summer favorites are available. Staff and almost all customers masking properly. Clean, efficient, great staff.

I am beyond impressed with the selection, quality, and pricing at this nursery. However, the most significant thing is the friendliness and expertise of all of the staff. I have visited several times and also had a delivery. Every single time I interacted with any of the staff, they were eager to assist and answered all my questions. They are so knowledgable and also helped me greatly with some questions I had on different plants.Customer for life here! I could not be happier.

This place is great.. They have a huge amount of plants and they are high quality with that been said the price is higher than home depot or Menards. But some of the prices are worth it specially on plants and flowersAlso they have cats thats a extra point

I went there today looking for a smaller shade tree. I saw a Quaking Aspen, liked the idea of its mature size. Asked the nursery manager about it, if it was prone to diseases/ fungus. He raved about it, said no disease issues. So I purchased it, loaded it in my car and drove the 40 minutes home. When I got home, I googled it just to make sure.Sure enough, this tree has many issues and is very prone to fungal disease. In fact, Bob Villa from This Old House has it listed as one of the 10 trees to Never plant in your yard. I had 3 mature trees with fungal issues in my yard, had to take them out.I had to drive all the way back to return it. Never even unloaded it from my vehicle. Very frustrating, 3 hours of my day back and forth!! Never trust a nursery salesperson.

Armando gave great customer service and the selection/quality of plants was impressive.

As much as I love this place, I have to say how disappointing it is with their Rewards Program. My husband spent a couple hundred dollars on a Christmas gift for me and in the mail we get for $10 reward for being a valued frequent shopper. It was dated December 17th and it gave me 60 days to use it. REALLY?  They value my business so much that they give me 60 days in the middle of winter to use the reward.   Its not a reward at all.  Come on Platt Hill show your customers that you really value their business and dont put a expiration date on it at all. If someone actually hold on to that big coupon for 6 months whats the big deal?  I think its ridiculous and a slap on the hand. Youre benefiting from me being in your Rewards program because you can track what your customers are buying.

Well organized Nursery. Huge variety. But most importantly a knowledgeable staff. Spoke with staff on the phone and once we arrived and they all were well versed about there product and where it was on the property. Willing to spend time with you to find what you wanted. Would have given a 5 star rating but this knowledge and service come at a higher price. Also they do not offer discounts on larger or bulk purchases.

We were here several weeks ago and we were planning our garden. Needed several shrubs as well flowers. We also needed to replace some areas of our lawn. Madison was incredibly helpful and very knowledgeable. Everything in our garden is thriving and looks beautiful. Thanks to all the great tips from Madison!

I called and asked them about repotting a special sentimental plant I have had since my stepdad passed away. She was looking really bad and I was worried I was killing it. They said to come on in. Not only did they repot it for me for a very fair price, they also explained what they were doing, what I could do better to make my plant happier. I did what they said and in only 24 hours she is looking better than ever! I also went home with a gorgeous large Monstera that is thriving. I was so happy that I brought my fiance with me to the nursery this weekend, and we picked out another plant and pot and had the same nice greenhouse worker (I am so mad that I cant remember her name, but she was a younger girl, with dark hair) repot our new palm plant. She even asked me how my plant she had repotted for me was doing. Everyone who we came across at the nursery has so friendly and knowledgeable. I am sure we will be back soon!

My wife and I not only find plants at Platt Hill but but knowledgeable and friendly staff.

I bought a tree and lights here about a week ago. A few days later, I came back for additional lights, and accidentally got the wrong color, which didnt match our originals. When I brought them in to exchange, Platt Hill refused because I didnt have a receipt, although they were clearly labeled as coming from the store. I had to buy additional lights and simply left the others, which are no use to me. I almost never leave negative reviews, but it was a ridiculous way to treat a customer.

Asked for assistance and stood there for 20 mins. Customer service was horrible so I left. I needed to purchase things for planting now to get ready for next year. I also needed to buy some shrubs and trees. Off to the garden center down the road. Hopefully they can help. FYI. Know what you want. Dont ask questions and they will take your money. If you need help, go elsewhere.

My husband & I went here on Saturday. First, let me say that they are on top of the social distancing protocols. They have signs everywhere and have partitions up for the employees at the checkouts. So kudos to them for taking the necessary precautions during this time.We went here because we have been working on some landscaping for the first time in our lives. We really had only the slightest idea of what we were looking for. All of the employees that we encountered here were super friendly. I have to give a special thank-you to Armando, the assistant nursery manager, who helped us out tremendously! He was extremely knowledgeable and super patient with all of our questions.We highly recommend this nursery for all of your lansdscaping needs!

I am updating my review. Although the following did happen, the response I received from the owner clearly indicates that they do want to provide outstanding service and products. Hopefully they will continue.I appreciate the response and follow up I received to correct the situation.Thank you Platt HillI purchased sod along with plants and blue flag stone to finish a backyard water feature project. When I unrolled the sod at home, with in an hour of purchase, it was dark grey and smelled rotten. The outside edge of the roll was green, I never thought to unroll all 20 pieces before putting them in the car.I called and was told there is no returns in sod. I explained that I had purchased it less than an hour ago and again was told No Returns. I expected more from Platt Hill. They charge more and I hoped I could trust them not to sell dead grass! I will not being going back and was a good customer. I also have told friends and family about my experience. My neighbors all say they’re surprised that I couldn’t get a refund or replacement.Sorry Platt Hill, you’ve last some local business.

We have purchased a large amount of trees and plants from them that are doing well 4 months later.The selection, quality, and knowledge of the staff are excellent. However, most employees seem uninterested or too busy to help with questions. I hope they can work on customer service training, which starts at the top to continue being successful.

I was a big fan of their selection for years. This year I bought a number of pepper seedlings to augment my plants that were grown from seed. After about three days indoors I noticed that there was a white fly infestation on almost all of them. Neem Oil didnt slow them and they had already began to spread to my seedling that I started from seeds. I am so upset that I trusted what came out of their closed green houses. I paid to infect the rest of my plants. I will never buy vegetable seedlings there again.

Pretty pond with swans.Lovely gift shop featuring housewares, soaps, candles, lotions, decorative items, as well as gardening tools, birdhouses, seeds, outdoor dining accessories, etc. Great place to shop for a unique gift.

They are a little pricy but they have some of the best quality plants and accessories you will find for a garden, in or outside. I like the variety of perennials including a decent amount of hosts types. You will pay a bit more here, but you will find things not available in most other greenhouses. Parking is ample and well maintained. Staff is courteous, professional, and usually pretty knowledgeable about their inventory.

If I could I would give them zero stars, first to start I called yesterday asking about boulders the lady put me on hold for 20 minuets then hangs up on me. I call back and when the lady answered she started being rude saying there to busy to answer my question or help me. I asked for the manager which she replied with she was the manager. How can you be a manager but dont know your product that you sell or pricing? She was extremely rude. Since she couldnt help me I decided to stop in and take a look when I got there I found what I needed I asked for pricing on 3 tons of rock they came back and said they dont offer bulk pricing and it would be almost two thousand dollars lol never again will I go back there Whispering hills in crystal lake has the same rocks for 3 tons 400 dollars!!! Talk about a RIP off store everything there is overpriced!

Went to buy several house plants and asked some workers about some plants and they could not have been less helpful and rude. The only helpful staff was the cashier in the very front. If you plan on shopping here expect good plant selection but lacking customer service.

Everything you need from trees to flowers. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Went there looking for a birdbath had a hard time deciding which one to purchase. But after looking at all the different types found one perfect for the backyard.

Great quality and variety, I think some people believe Platt is pricey but prices really arent bad vs competitors. If youre looking for something specific, youll probably find it. Ceramic pot selection is really fantastic and prices are less than average cost youll pay at a big box store, this is their hidden gem. Their customer service hasnt been great to me, but I always go during peak season, and I know my way around well enough to not need much help. If you need help, you can find it, sometimes they are reluctant/probably already busy, but usually, eventually, you will get help. If you ask for it.

Great place. They offer great products, the staff is knowledgeable and my kids just love going there are seeing the plants and trees.

No one talked to us until we stood in line to check out and was a little rude. No I dont know what your customer card is, but you could have explained it instead of rushing me through.

Great selection well organized knowledgable people.

This nursery, greenhouse and garden center pretty much has it all. The greenhouses are usually stuffed with houseplants, perennials, herbs, blooming plants and more. They have a ton of knick-knacks like fairy garden items and household ornaments and a ton of things for garden birding. Only complaint? Platt Hill pricing is high. I guess were paying for the great location and the customer service.

Just wanted to say as soon as the management at Platt Hill found out how I was treated by a new cashier they called me and straightened it out ... and even gave me a certificate good for my next visit. Now thats the way to treat a customer - thank you!

First time visiting this nursery. Was looking for a real tree this year. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Had a great selection and we found a nice one on my tight budget. Will be back next year
