Good variety of sports 🏀 🏈 ⚽️ gear to choose from and nice friendly service. Found a nice set of tennis 🎾 balls to use at a court nearby for rallying. I’d definitely come back to browse more of their items and take the firearms test that they offer on site for purchase of guns/ammo.

This Big 5 is a nice store! On the small side, but organized and well stocked. I went in to get a queen size inflatable mattress that was offered at a GREAT one day price!!! They were easy to find and there were several in stock. The staff was very nice!

Ive been up and down with this place. If you can help yourself, and find what you need, you may be ok. They do have deals now and again. To bad no You-scans(sells scanning register)Long story short, prepare to wait long for any kind of help, and get attitude from the young blonde girl, who asks for your I.D. and doesnt say thank you. Doesnt thank you for shopping, or greets you. I didnt say thank you and just returned her the same. Im thinking cause shes attractive, and assumes I should be the one thanking her for some reason.or expects it from guys.But no. The second I walked to the register, no hello, no greetings, I was just asked I.D.? Like she was a cop or in charge. Thinking she had athority or power. (I was buying a knife). I hand her my ID. Then swiped my card. Took my things and reciept. Again, no thank you. No bye.Rude I just dont get how people act so rude in this industry.

Went to Big 5 by Savemart on Manzanita today. Ive previously spent an enormous amount of money at this location but will no longer patronage this store! The clerk was on the phone when i went to purchase my items. I waited patiently and finally she hung up. I had my Credit Card out and it was evident that I was waiting to check out...But instead of waiting on me she turned around and went to the other side of the checkout and IGNORED ME. THEIR WERE NO OTHER PEOPLE IN LINE!.....I LEFT MY ITEMS ON THE CHECKOUT AND SAID..I GUESS YOUR TOO BUSY TODAY..GOODBYE! She said..oh i can help you now...NO THANK YOU GOOD BYE!. ALSO.....AND I HATE TO SAY THIS! BUT IVE HAD SIMILAR SITUATIONS WITH THIS CLERK IN THE PAST..I THINK SHE DOESNT LIKE WAITING ON WHITE PEOPLE. IM SORRY BUT I BELIEVE IT TO BE TRUE. My business will go elsewhere in the future.

They always have a good shoe selection and usually on sale.

Ive been to this store 2 times in the last 2 weeks. On this visit I walked in and wasnt even acknowledged by the 4 staff members who were at the front counter. (Im assuming they were all workers because 2 were behind the counter and the other 2 were standing around and not making any purchases). I was looking for 2 pair of shoes. I found both shoes, but neither were in my size. I waited for someone to assist me but noone showed up to help. Upon exiting the store there were only 2 staff left at the front counter and nether were busy. I received a Have a good day sir from one of them as I exited. This is not what I would call good customer service. Very very sad.. There were a total of 3 customers in the store including me. I dont know how bad the turnover is in this store, but approx 9 or so months ago the customer service was very good. Funny and friendly employees. I will not be back to this, or maybe any big 5 businesses in the near future if I return at all.

They dont know California law in regards to selling ammunition to Active Duty members with a valid military ID. This is a rampant problem with businesses who do not deal with Active Duty military regularly, and they should try to be more informed about their laws.What do I need to bring to a vendor in order to purchase ammunition? What type of documentation? (non-exempt purchasers)A valid California driver license, California identification card, or Military identification. (Pen. Code §, 28180.).

After looking at two different stores and getting assistance from the first store I was able to find the product that I wanted the perfect chair for camping for rafting and kayaking down the river not so good but when it comes to kicking back at a barbecue and so on it was awesome and thank you big 5 for helping me find the one that I saw online and that I wanted the only difference in the one that I got for $100 and the one that I saw at Costcowas the one that I got at Big 5 had a fold-over shade screen for almost $40 more at Big 5

Staff does not know how to do there own job. I went in for an inversion table and brought the tag of the item to the cashier and instead of reading it he tried say my personal prescription Oakley sun glass on my head were the item I was buying

If I was a secret shopper I would have given these guys a D- to and F. On August 11th 2020 at 2:20 p.m. I entered the store for the very 1st time wanting to buy some things for a trip to the Lake. I had never been in this store, and I entered, paused near the registers, saw 3 people right in front of me look at me awkwardly and not one of them greeted me. Then I wandered around the store aimlessly for a while trying to find the section that I needed . Once I got to that section hoping to find the item that I needed because online it said it was in stock at this store,It was not in stock. I went back to the front passing a couple of more workers who still did not ask me if I needed help with anything. I was at the front and the blonde woman with wavvy long hair made awkward eye contact with me making me feel uncomfortable But still did not say anything to me. I should have just left. I stood there near the registers for quite a while with obvious body language that I was needing some help and eager to talk with someone, while keeping covid social distance, but they were talking amongst themselves and I did not want to interrupt. It sounded like things that could have been on hold to help a customer ready to purchase some items. This was a very awkward wait. Finally I said excuse me I have a question and a man named Ahmed turned to me and another man in a red shirt but was not wearing his name tag. The blonde white woman and a redhead turned and glanced with uncomfortable glares. I asked my question and they said no they dont have those items even though online it says they do. They were very very awkward to speak with and seemed very and intrested in helping me. After, I quietly and politely let them know that my experience was awkward right then and there in that moment even though thats not like me to say anything and I felt very uncomfortable. I said that it felt like I was having the interrupt them just to get their attention even though I had been waiting a long time. I also let them know when I got there and I was wandering very confused the blonde woman at the front made lots of awkward eye contact with me 3 times without even saying hello or asking if I needed any help. This kind of customer service makes it really seem like these people hate their jobs and they definitely dont wanna help the customers. The store was an absolute mess with product on the ground falling over and in disarray. Their attitudes followed suit. I dont usually give in person feedback but i felt like i was in the twilight zone, this was a very strange situation. Im letting corporate know so that they can maybe help their workers have a better work experience and want to help their customers more. Perhaps the work morale is really bad here and they need to address how they are creating and cultivating a positive work environment for their workers to want to help people like me more, who are ready to spend money (and I am one who will even buy a better product even if the lesser product is not available) if I had been helped and treated in any sort of manner. They were very insincere and not interested in my professional feedback, said, uh ok thanks. And i said thanks have a nice day, and left. I was positive, they made it awkward.

A couple of months ago I was working in the area made good money thatday,so I thought Id treat myself to a new pair of boots theyve got a awesome selection. I found a pair of all leather your basic combat boot on clearance for 42.00 marked down from 165.00 . It took almost 3 weeks to break them in. The blisters are long gone and with the help of some dollar store insoles they are quite comfy now

U need a mask but its just like normal. Everything about big 5 and better cuz theres less ppl.

We purchased a drone at this store recentlyand had an issue with it (not the stores fault at all). Charlie, the manager, went out of his way to make sure the issue was resolved. I have purchased many things at this store over the years and have always had a great experience.
