We have been using Garage 47 since they opened and have been absolutely pleased with all of their services. They have been honest (even telling us we dont REALLY need certain repairs done) and thorough in their explanations. Ive appreciate when they have done work (like oil changes) very quickly when our schedule changes and they even stayed late one evening when I pulled in with a low-tire. They took care of me in the same friendly way they always do. I honestly enjoy having them work on my vehicles.

I’ve been bringing my older model cars to Garage 47 for many years and have always received excellent service. My recent visit was due to the theft of my catalytic converter. Jason the service writer assured me that Garage 47 could and would work with my insurance company to get my car back on the road. The process did take time, through no fault of Garage 47 (waiting for insurance adjuster, waiting on parts). But I jut wanted to say I appreciated their patience in answering my questions and communicating clearly through the process. Thank you Garage 47!

I have been a loyal customer here for 5+ years after my friend recommended them. She had been going to them forever! They are the best mechanic shop Ive had, in my 45 years of driving! They are courteous. They take time to explain the issue. They give OPTIONS for the service, which I greatly appreciate. The waiting office is clean and is air conditioned/heated.This time I was there only for a low tire pressure. They took my car in right away, saw it had a screw in the tire, did the repair, checked the rest of the tires, and were done in less than 15 minutes. The computer system they use pulls up your cars history and makes billing quick. I like that they use text and email (with pictures!) to communicate while my car is in for work.If youre lucky enough to have a conversation with the owner, youll feel right at home. And the new mechanics hes bringing on must be coached in good customer service-they are also doing a great job.Whenever someone on Nextdoor is looking for a mechanic, I get Garage 47s name in there as fast as I can. Check engine light was flashing so we shut off the car and had it towed. The diagnosed the problem as a dealer recall and issue. Had the dealer fixed. Very professional and fast. Will go again!

Garage 47 came recommended to me by a friend a church when I started having car trouble on the way to Vacation Bible School. From the first phone call, the G47 staff was very kind and willing to work with me/my schedule in terms of drop-off, scheduling an appointment, and pick-up options post repair. Team was very transparent about what repairs needed to be done to get me back on the road and had my car ready to drive the same day. I felt comfortable working with G47 and didn’t feel as though they were adding any extra, CYA services that weren’t necessary. Be sure to give them a call next time old reliable doesn’t live up to her name!

I went with Garage 47 to do a diagnostic on a misfire. It took longer than expected and got diagnosed wrong. However they didn’t charge me and gave me a quote to fix the issue right away. They did a valve job which many other shows weren’t willing to do and only within 1 week. Great quality work and incredibly generous and professional people. Definitely recommend.

Honest shop! My 2007 G6 started acting super weird, they were quick to get me in same day and tried their best to fix it, but it was just time to say goodbye and they were absolutely honest about all of it. Didnt try to charge for attempts to fix things that would not fix it. Would absolutely go back when my new car needs attention.

Garage 47 was recommended by Arden Village Service to install a cage over the catalytic converter on my Prius. I called, they took me that same day, did the work in two hours for what seemed a fair price. I had to wait and was happy for the pleasant office and background music. Very professional.

My car needed a new altenator and I was able to get it replaced and get my car in and out on the same day. Staff is always friendly and personable. Great job.

Got a pre purchase inspection done and I was thoroughly impressed by the amount of detail and attention that was given to every possible aspect. The service was thorough and the tech went over the report with me explaining each detail that needed attention. I highly recommend this place.

In June Garage 47 did some work on my AC unit in my truck. During that work they commented that an additional component would likely need to be changed but there was cold air coming out of the unit. It wasnt until the really hot weather later in that month that their recommendation came to fruition. There was still cold air, but there just wasnt sufficient volume. I scheduled another service visit to have that component replaced and once that was done and a couple of other smaller items were also replaced the AC unit is working better that I can ever remember it working in the 23+ years I have owned the vehicle. I would highly recommend them for your future service issues.

My Mazdaspeed 3 was throwing some codes and driving very different than how it normally did. My normal mechanic told me that only the dealership could deal with those codes. Maita Mazda said they had zero clue what I was talking about and that it drove fine. Garage 47 came highly recommended. Steve got on the phone with me and talked about the codes, what they were and how he was able to address them. He was tenacious with figuring out the problem, intelligently answered my questions and took the time to teach me about those code. Finally, he fixed the problem for a little over $90. Bottom line...the dealership was lazy and didnt take the time to even TRY to figure out my problem. The gentlemen at Garage 47 were kind, timely, professional and fixed my car! Thanks fellas!

We had a catalytic converter stolen. Jay at Garage 47 was a wonderful person to deal with. He explained the issues around the theft and replacement clearly. I had a leak in my Subaru roof after a stormy week. I was worried what the cost would be. I called in the afternoon and got a next day appointment and a kind and speedy check in. They found the cause of the leak, cleared out the debris and only charged the initial diagnostic fee. I was out within an hour and was able to pay online while I sat outside.

I love G47. Guys that work there are great. And I love that they are up to date with technology, and we get real time updates online. I just couldn’t say more great things about them. I’ve had multiple cars taken here and they’ve always taken care of us. Without feeling pressured to buy things that aren’t needed. Also can’t beat their prices. Highly recommend.

Decent hardworking folks. Always busy but never too busy to give personal attention. I had been to a local body shop to replace carpeting and this company claimed I needed a $700 repair to my cooling system. I had a doubt about the diagnosis so I went to Garage 47 for a second opinion. I paid them to diagnose the problem. Not only do they diagnose it they also fixed it at the same time for no extra charge. I really like how their diagnostic service includes lots of close up pictures and detailed notes. I used the printout to persuade the body shop to refund my money for misdiagnosis.

I was referred to this place by a friend, who spoke very highly of Garage 47. I came by for a brake check and wasn’t forced into a big sales pitch. Great customer service, great prices and service. I also had an oil change, and was in and out quickly. I would totally recommend them.

Business does not call back when they say they will (3 times in 2 days)and they charged $142 for an air intake hose when a factory hose can be purchased for $38. Although they were nice I would not recommend for any work on any car.

This is the second car that Ive brought to Garage 47 over the years. They are very professional, competent, and reliable. My Honda was overdue for a tuneup. It ran so much better afterwards; literally I could feel it running much more smoothly and driving much more responsively on the way home! I suspected the air & cabin filters would need replacing, too. Sure enough, they checked and found them clogged up. They sent me pictures online with an estimate of the additional charges. I approved them online, and soon afterwards the car was done!I love finding great small, locally-owned businesses like this one and then supporting them! And whats better than finding a great auto mechanic?

It didnt seem like the repair took as long as they said it would. The owner came in the waiting room and we talked for a few minutes about how long our families had been in Sac while I was waiting. Nice guy. Whenever an employee came in they greeted me.

Dropped my car off at the arranged appointment time. My car was there almost 10 hours. No one ever got to it. Seems as though no one knows how to use a telephone to let me know it wasnt going to be worked on. I showed up 45 minutes before closing time and it hadnt even been looked at. How unbelievably unprofessional. Will not recommend this place to anyone.

I contacted Garage 47 after searching Google for a place to have a pre purchase inspection done on a used auto I was considering. Im so glad that they did the inspection. They were extremely professional and documented all the issues and took photos of their findings! Im truly grateful they protected my best interests and made sure I was aware of all the shoddy repair work that had been done and explained to me all the issues. I felt so comfortable with the service and care that the following day before heading back to Reno NV I had them rotate and balance my tires. These guys are PROS you wont be disappointed!

My car wouldnt start the day I went (fathers day). I walked up, no appointment and just asked for help. (Luckily I live within waking distance) They told me it could be my battery, and offered to walk back to my house to check it out!I was shocked, as no buisness had gone out of their way for me like that before. He jumped my car, I drove us both back, and replaced my battery.I was so thankful they squeezed me in like they did, other wise I wouldnt know what I would have done!
