Too expensive for the mediocre quality of their fresh and milk products. I used to be a faithful Vons shopper for decades in my previous city. Even 3 stars may be reflecting my old experiences and not the most recent.

This store is always inviting, especially the produce section.So many varieties, and so well displayed.Cake by the slice, yummy cookies and good selection of bread and rolls.

Its a Vons. Not the worst Vons Ive been in, but far from the worst. Meat Ive gotten so far has been fresh and tasty. Going to try some fresh veggies later. The Radishes look good though the bunch is a bit small.Missing some items that a larger Vons has like garbage cans and laundry baskets which I needed having just moved in.Meat, though fresh, seemed to lack some variety in the beef/ steak area.

I went to Stater Bros for Lei flowers for both my kids graduation. Stater Bros had them nur they were gross and had mildew on them. Went to Vons and they had them and they are nice

It was late and I needed help getting an ice chest down from the top and the Shelf they help me with no problems at all plus they had everything I needed

Lost one star only for the fact that it is extremely loud in there. This was some really good food and the beer was amazing. I tried the Weiner Snitzel and it was perfect. The split pea soup and the homemade sauerkraut was amazing. I have nothing poor to say about this place except it was very hard to hear. The service was quick, correct and friendly three of my favorite things. The other nice part was that it is located in a very nice safe area of the city so walking after dark was fun and peaceful. Definitely give them a try highly recommend them.

Busy for a holiday but very organized. I wish all stores followed their checkout process. I was in and out in no time while still following social distancing procedures. I was having trouble finding an item and an employee offered help without me even having to ask! Very friendly man in the wine section made sure I found what I was looking for. Thank you!

Im rating here the sushi chef. I know grocery store sushis are not the best, but this Vons should not sell sushi or get a new sushi chef. It is horrible! Using all rice even inside the sushi and barely anything else. The whole sushi is just rice. Cheaping out the fish, crab everything! Looks like somebody rolled it with a tank.

My wife works here and we just found out last night that she is getting transfered to another store for no apparent reason. How is it that we were able to find out something that I believe was supposed to be confidential. Upper management is a joke. They should have provided their teams with company phones, since my wife spent about 1.3 hours a day on her phone due work related purposes. That is 39 hours a month for who k ows how long. That is 468 hours in a year. To put that in prospective, say it was all overtime at $27/hour. X 468 = $12,636 in time spent fir work on her personal phone. Im surprised there hasnt been a Class Action filed.

Glad I can find rutabaga, jicama and heirloom tomatoes. Having Japanese daikon is a good thing but if you bring in Korean daikon as well that will be awesome.

Everytime we go up over the hill, to VONS, my friend and I manage well. He never comes back to the car grumpy. Just happy and boastful about the money he just saved. It is nice to be in happy company. It is nice to shop at VONS.

I had a very pleasant experience recently at this particular Vons. I needed to send money via Western Union. I have been to various other establishments and the simple process of sending money has become unnecessarily complicated by either untrained, incompetent, or unfriendly staff. I had the pleasure of working with the Assistant Manager Sam.She was fast, efficient, and even with the covid mask on, had a smile on her face the whole time. What has been, quite literally, a 10-20 minute tedious task at other establishments, was a 5 minute(or less?!) walk in the park at this Vons. Thank you for your excellent service Sam:)

Compared to all the other grocery stores but Ive been to in San Diego County over the past several decades as well as compared to other Vons stores this location seems to be cleaner, better stocked, and better quality produce then comparable standard grocery stores. The produce quality seems equal to other Vons locations but compared to other standard grocery store chains Vons always seems to have much better quality produce. Having recently had the privilege of taking care of both of my aging parents in recent years I was shopping at different Vons locations throughout San Diego County on a regular basis so it did give me fairly good comparison between other Vons stores.

Vons should call one another and set up their stores the same. However, I complained enough, about ease of finding items on sale, and Im sure I wasnt alone! Getting better.DONT COME HERE FOR THANKSGIVING DINNER! 12LB TURKEY, MASHED POTATOES AND GRAVY WITH CRANBERRY SAUCE $60 OR RALPHS TURKEY, MASHED POTATOES AND GRAVY, GREEN BEANS CASSEROLE, STUFFING, ROLLS, PIE AND SWEET POTATO SOUFFLE ALL FOR $70!

Do Vons more than any other, convenient, nice employees, panda, and Starbucks.

Always clean

Store is always clean and fully stocked. Sometimes the lines get a little long, but they usually do a good job of opening up another check stand. This store tends to be a little pricier then other Vons that have been to and they dont seem to have as many good deals as other stores. However sometimes if youre lucky, you can get good deals on meat.

Its an okay VONS grocery store. Its clean, never busy for Its location however the downside is their produce is always old, mildew & wilted. The shelves are always bare. They do keep my favorite ice cream stocked😊 and their staff is friendly

The young ladies that work in the bakery are the BEST! This is one of the few places where the customers are treated with a grateful attitude. Most places treat the customers like they are an inconvenience! Here the employees are polite and helpful. Such a pleasant change 👍👍

I called the meat department seeking a whole frozen turkey which is, of course, out of season in June! The gentleman who answered immediately, offering a breast only and was able to supply me with the info to locate a whole one. He was spot on. Now I have the resource I needed. Excellent customer service!

Been here twice only but I really did find great buys ! This Vons has a great bakery items to choose from ! Freshly baked daily ! Jalapeno cheese breads are the best here ! They also have an in store hot food Cafeteria Wok ! Great customer service ! Clean store, easy to find items & I found great sales in their meat department ! And other store sales !

Meat department includes fresh fish section. Bakery usually has good selection but runs low later at night. It aint Walmart.

The basic experience Of Vons is OK. However I really have a hard time understanding how they could possibly justify the prices of items that cost a dollar to $2 Less in other stores. This may be a higher socio-economic area that some, however, there are also many seniors a d low income families!

Vons seems to be a little behind compared to Albertsons and Stater Bros and Wal-Mart. What ever you do opt to stay in line. The self check outs here suck and are a hassle to deal with and they take longer than if you just wait in line.

Nice store, fairly fully stocked most of the time. Friendly and helpful staff too. The only reason why four stars instead of five is that fairly often I find items for sale in the refrigerated sections that are past their sell-by date.
