I just purchased and received my new 7’6” Easy Rider “Beginner Fish” from Degree 33 and I must say I absolutely love it! I had been contemplating buying this board for myself for about 2 years now, and I’ll tell you I’m glad I finally did it!For one, the board is just beautiful to look at! I swear I sat with it for about an hour or so just admiring the beauty, color, and shape of this surfboard. The board itself is so versatile with the five fin boxes, so lots to experiment with.On top of this, the people over at Degree33 were super helpful. They answered my questions via email and phone calls which helped me tremendously.This is my second purchase from these guys and I’m sure it won’t be my last!

Ive wanted a Degree 33 board for a long time, ever since I surfed one my friend bought. I ordered over the phone and it was a great experience - I had a lot of questions and they were super helpful. What a great place! I bought my first board during a trip to San Diego past April... it was a wonderful experience from order to pick-up.I did a bit of research on where to buy a first board and Degree 33 was top of the reviews, so I decided to go with them. Since I asked them for advice to select the best board for me they supported me all the way. Michael in particular was very kind, patient and effective giving me suggestions on how to make a good choice. Once I decided, it was a super easy process. I picked up and there it was, beautiful! You can order online, but if you can I suggest you to visit the store, not only has a great vibe you can see other great product they have. Just be careful, I got lost in the industrial park, every building looks the same.Ive been surfing with it for two months and it has been all I wanted. Light, stylish and firm on water. This was my first board purchase online, I was hesitant because it’s a bit of a personal experience buying a board or I guess in some cases the board finds you.Regardless, the board was pack right and without damage. The board the board paddles fast and easy, being a 10’ft board leaning to duck roll is a process. Catching waves; the board is stable and fast, absolutely love it.If I had to give a knock it would be that I personally like a stringer which the board does not have. Other than that it’s a get invest of good time and stoke!Cheers

I ordered a 33° 8‘6“ long board. I received a follow-up email and phone call from the store making sure that the board would be the right board for my needs. I received the board in sturdy packaging that insured that it arrived at my door without any damage. The board looks fantastic. I have had three sessions on it in 2 foot waves and it’s a fun and easy board to ride.I highly recommend the store for the customer service as well as for the quality of their product.

When I went to the warehouse the staff knew what they were talking about and helped me get the right size board with fins and a leash. I appreciate the time they spent answering my questions about the board and I feel like they were considering how my experience surfing would be. In the end I think the quality advice is why I ended up with the correct board for me.I bought a 9ft Epoxy soft-top. Man is it fast!!! I dropped into a wave, and it got going so quick I flew off the back. Once I figured out how to stay on the board, I found it easy to maneuver which is unique when it comes to long boards. I can move it around like a shorter mid length board. I recommend this board for SoCal surf because it paddles fast and still maneuvers well in smaller surf.

We finally got the Easy Rider out in mushy conditions over here in the Rockaways in August. My son says it is not quite the same as his beloved Brazilian surfboard that he was using in Costa Rica (we really should have brought that one back with us!), but the Easy Rider is still super-solid (he gives is a 93/100).Thanks for all you help in getting this one all the way to New York!

My son bought a 6’6 Egg epoxy board after only one surf lesson and a couple of sessions on a Wavestorm.He loves it and is progressing quickly, supper friendly staff when I came to collect it and have just ordered myself a 9 6 Ultimate Expoxy Longboard.

This shop is focused on helping out new surfers. Ive ordered a couple board and some apparel from Degree33. Everything arrived in good condition. They also have how to videos that are helpful for setting up your board for the 1st time. The shop has great customer support and was responsive to questions I had related to a board ding and shared input on how to fix it.

Coming from a customer support background myself, I highly recommend Degree 33 as Ive had the most incredible experiences with them!Experience #1 -- Shortly after purchasing my board I had a neck injury so I couldnt surf. Without hesitation Degree 33 extended their 33 ride it guarantee and after finally being able to try it out months later, I was able to exchange the board for a better personal fit.Experience #2 -- Im infatuated with my Ultimate 86; it helped me progress from beginner to intermediate within the short timeframe of two months. Unfortunately it had some fin box issues; the first time I had it fixed, but the second time around it seemed odd it would break again without putting much force on it. Degree 33 thought the board was defective (which happens sometimes!), took ownership of the situation and provided me with a new replacement board immediately.

Hi, Wanted to share a story about my new Classic Nose Rider. Ive owned a couple of Ultimate boards and wanted to add a nose rider to my collection. when I checked on line, I saw that they were all sold out but decided to call anyway to see when they were going to be back in stock soon. I spoke to Trevor and he said it would be 2-3 weeks for the Classics. As we were talking about boards, Trevor asked If I would be interested in a Custom 94 Classic that someone ordered but wasnt the right color to his liking. I said to send me some pictures so I can take a look and see how bad the color was. He said it was stunning and I wouldnt be disappointed! After received the photos I could not believe how stunning it was! Without hesitation, I told Trevor Ill buy it! Only concern I had was the shipping cost to Hawaii. Trevor said shipping would be around the same as Ive paid in the past and not to worry. 5 days later, the board arrived in pristine condition! I have had excellent experiences in all surf shops in SoCal and Degree33 was one of the absolute best. Tyler was amazing. They did not have the size I was looking for so I was able to take a 9.0 until the. 10.0’s arrived and exchange of I was not happy. The export performance board handles well, is tough as nails, and paddles like a stick of butter in a hot pan. I have had it out in one footers, overheads and everything in between. The balance in stability and performance is outstanding. Is it a custom made one of a kind? No. Is it an amazing, fun, and affordable board? Absolutely. I even recommended to a couple people at a local break and saw them out with brand new shiny’s a couple days later.

My board performs as expected on Lake Michigan! Michael was available to talk any time of the day and he made it really clear. The follow-up email was a great resource and was very valuable to setting up my board. The handwritten note was a special touch as well. I bought a longboard from Degree 33, as it was really well reviewed. I bought it online and it arrived in great condition. The board is absolutely great, but I was kind of shocked (in a good way) when I got a phone call from Degree 33 after I placed the order. This is a company that really cares about their customers and the surfing community. I also enjoyed their YouTube videos showing how to install the fins, leash, etc, but also giving some advice to new surfers. Pretty cool company that clearly wants the best for their customers.

All round fantastic experience. I visited the store several times before buying and the team were more than happy to answer any questions and advise on what the best board would be for me. I ended up buying the 710 Over Easy (Speed Egg) and absolutely love the board. Im 63, weight about 210 and had only been surfing ~8 months when I got the board and was transitioning down from a longboard. It was the perfect choice.The board paddles really well and Ive ridden it in small crumbly knee high surf all the way up to overhead sets on a good day. Its easy to get into waves and given my minimal experience, I find it very easy to manoeuvre, ride down the line and generate speed.

Michael got us setup with a SUP after patiently answering all our questions. It handles like a dream, would definitely come back again!

Drove down from L.A. to Carlsbad to pick up my new 6’6” Poacher and the boys at Degree 33 could not have been cooler. Free wax, leash and board bag eased the bite of my 5-year-old losing her lunch in the car😂 As for the board it is sweet! Super easy to paddle and get into waves at my local North L.A beach break. Put on 10 lbs during quarantine so the extra volume helps a lot! Wouldn’t hesitate to buy again from Degree 33 - great experience.

I ordered a 9 Epoxy Ultimate and for my 6 185lbs it was a lot of board (Volume). Because of their 30 day return and replace, I drove down from LA and demod an 8 version which was really fun and recomend it for beach breaks or someone a bit smaller. But I decided to go with the 86 epoxy ultimate since I was looking for more of a Malibu board. After a few fin adjustments (Gerry Lopes 7.25) with the original side bites she is a solid longboard for 2-3 beach breaks (Venice) and the L.A. points.

This is a small shop so delivery took a few weeks. The delivered board was very well packaged and came with two bars of wax, the leash, and the tool for installing the fins. The board is beautiful. With their online instructions setup was a breeze.

My first board from Degree 33 was the 6 6 poacher which the staff members helped me chose over the phone by answering all my questions and giving their recommendations. I was very happy with this board and decided to look into a shorter board as I progressed. This time I went into the shop where they gave me a very personalized experience by taking my height and weight and going through a bunch of different boards until they found the right one for me. This new board was the 5 8 Codfather, which is now my favorite board because it rides great and feels like it is tailor-fitted for me. This fish-style board is great for so many conditions and allowed me to progress even faster in my surfing. The staff also reassured me that I could always try the board out and if I didnt like it, I could switch it out for one that I liked more because of their ride it guarantee policy. Overall, these boards feel amazing and the customer service experience is like no other surf shop or brand that Ive come across so they are definitely worth checking out!

I had an opportunity to take advantage of Degree 33s recent sale on some slightly used boards and scored a combo epoxy/softop 9 longboard and have been out a few times now and can say the board is awesome in helping me get back in the water and get my confidence back up to surfing regularly. Great board with lots of float and control for a long board. The soft top is great! I would even look to getting a poacher or a cloud when I progress down in size. So far its exceeded my expectations and looking forward to many more years enjoying the stoke this board will bring. ;-O

Bought this 9’ USED ultimate longboard from degree 33 from their website a few weeks ago. The next day they called me to confirm the order and set up a pick up time. I drove from Long Beach to pick it up. Trevor was very friendly and punctual. He included the center fin and side bites. For being used, this board was in fantastic condition. It was just as advertised, no cracks, no water damage. It had minor scratches and some minor heel dents which Trevor made sure to tell me about before I made the trip from Long Beach. We also purchased a board bag, leash, and wax from them as the price was very reasonable. On the way back up to Long Beach we took it to San-O and I couldn’t have been happier with the purchase. It rides so much better than the 8’ catch surf log I was riding and my husband who rides a 9’ takayama thought it was great as well.

The staff is great, really friendly people. My only issue was with the quality of the board. I purchased the ultimate longboard 9, and while it has been a fun board to ride, the durability just isnt there. After 5 sessions I noticed significant pressure dings forming on the deck, after about 12 sessions now the board looks as though it has been ridden regularly for a year or two. I purchased epoxy over fiberglass because I was hoping to get a tougher board. Unfortunately, based on the pressure dings that have formed thus far, Im worried if the board will stand the test of time. And just for reference my friend who purchased a 9 fiberglass board from a separate company a week before me, has zero pressure dings on their deck and he weighs a few pounds more than me (Im 155 lbs). Great service, but I cant recommend the boards based off my experience so far. Board purchased Mid April 22, 2021 (Ill add photos later this week when I strip the wax)

I wanted to pick up a longboard to surf with my kids and some friends. Ive always been a short boarder and came across this one and final bought one for myself instead of borrowing one. Love it supper fun !

Purchased the 9 ULTIMATE LONGBOARD SURFBOARD ORANGE CAMO (HYBRID EPOXY SOFT TOP) and so far I LOVE IT! They market the board as NO WAX NEEDED...AND IT IS TRUE!I had been using a foamy, as I am new to surfing, and find this board to be a great transition board!The only issue I have had so far is the leash rubbing against the tail and abrading some of the epoxy off of the tail. I spoke with the manufacturer and was assured that since the epoxy is just used on the top the board will not take on water. I am going to see if I can add a cap to the tail anyway in an effort to reduce or stop the abrasion.

So so so thrilled with my Degree33 experience! I purchased my first board (Ultimate Longboard) last month, and I’m so pleased with how the board looks and how she handles in the water!My only downside was the shipping company - they lost my board for a short amount of time and were actually quite rude about the entire thing. But the Degree33 team (especially Trevor!) stepped right in and got everything sorted out within 48 hours.All in all, I’ll definitely be buying more boards from Degree33, and I hope to get out to CA to thank the team in person!

I recently bought my 2nd board from Degree 33. Its super sick to buy locally shaped boards and especially cool to ride a board by a shaper who surfs the same break I do.I highly recommend picking up a board from them as they dont skimp on any of their designs. I have a 90 Ultimate from about 4 years ago and now I also have a 510 Bullet. Both boards ride really nice and are very versatile. UPDATED: bought my second board from D33 - 7’2” poacher. Lots of fun with the bigger waves. Just like with my first one, I talked to the guys at the shop, told them what I was looking for and what my skills were and they made a recommendation. The board is great and good looking.Will be excited to buy another board from these guys.Great board, great people and great company. I asked around and multiple people recommended Degree 33 for a new board. I called up, spoke to the owner for 15 minutes and he walked me through the options as well as asked me about myself. A few weeks after I brought the board home I broke a bite fin (totally my fault). I called again and asked what fin set to buy but they told me they had an extra one and I could stop by and get it for free. Everyone there has been incredible about everything and highly recommend their boards.

The ultimate has been a really fun board. It’s just a wave catching machine and I’ve recommended it to several friends who picked one up as well. The shipping and service from Degree 33 was great as well.

My new atv arrived a few weeks ago and I am blown away, by the craftsmanship, this board is super fast and I love it! Trevor and the crew are great to deal with and kept me posted through every step of the process, from boardshaping to delivery. Even when a few things didn’t get shipped with the board, Trevor rush shipped the missing items. I will definitely order all of my future boards from Degree33.
