Purchased a car for my wife, our salesman Kamran (the running man) was terrific and went above and beyond. The deal was very transparent, and they offered Gap insurance and additional services at no charge. Such as dent and ding repair, anything smaller than a credit card fixed for free. We leased through Honda credit and they paid the first payment for us, with a great option to trade up when the time comes for nearly nothing out of pocket. My wife wasnt considering buying today, but I think shes glad we did. I can tell you for sure, even though were going to be moving quite far away well consider coming back for our next car.

I planned to go into the Honda Dealership in Carlsbad to gather information about my options for my 2018 SUV leased car that was due in December. As I walked up to the door, I was greeted with a smile and a welcome by Roofina Rivera! She was friendly and SO knowledgeable - she was able to explain my options, pros and cons, and answer all my questions! There were no cars on the lot that I was looking for, but a shipment was coming in - all were sold except for one - I decided to turn my car in and get the last car coming in. I had to wait for a week to get my 2022 SUV. I wanted to get the lease payment below my current payment and Roofina worked hard with the manager to make it happen. She gave me her cell phone number so if I had any questions I could text her - of course when I got home I had some more questions. I texted Roofina and she got back to me immediately!! What car salesperson does that now a days!! When I went into the dealership to sign papers I felt like she was a family member and she treated me like a family member. If you want a Honda, I would HIGHLY recommend Honda in Carlsbad, but more importantly ask for Roofina Rivera - you will be glad you did!! Thank you Roofina!!!

We are traveling from Arizona. We stayed in Carlsbad to go to Legoland. Our key for our Honda van broke and we were unable to get our van started. Skip Kelly and a member of the maintenance crew personally drove to our hotel to our parking garage and helped us by getting us a new key for our van. They were very nice and had excellent customer service. Its rare to find customer service that high quality anymore. I would highly recommend this dealership.

Are you looking for a trustworthy, reliable dealership with excellent customer service and a friendly, knowledgeable and helpful service team to answer your questions? THEN THIS IS ABSOLUTELY NOT THE DEALERSHIP FOR YOU!I leased a brand new 2021 Honda Civic. Three months into my lease, the transmission has failed and the right axel is moving laterally about 4 inches. Both need to be replaced. Because the car had to be towed by Honda Roadside, it ended up at the Vista dealership for service as this was closer than Carlsbad. And after my interactions with Skip today, who is the Hoehn Honda of Carlsbad Service Manager, I am really glad it’s in Vista.I called the Carlsbad dealership when I learned the repairs would take up to 6 weeks due to backordered parts. Diane (sales manager) was friendly but really wasn’t interested in helping me figure out what to do. She gave me an 800 number to call the Honda Factory direct. I called but they were closed for the weekend. Monday I arrived in person at Hoehn to express my concerns about the purchase and also express the need for a working car. Ron (sales manager), passed me over to Skip (service manager). As I was explaining my situation and mechanical failures, it was obvious Skip had a distain for women or maybe just people. He casually leaned back in his chair, arm over his head and didn’t say more than maybe 10 words. At one point I stopped midsentence and asked him “are you already aware of the situation?” to which he simply shook his head no. I will sum up his 10 words “call Vista, not my problem.” I was calm as a clam. Respectful. Friendly. I can only imagine how Skip treats his employees… Would love to see the survey results on that. Same with customers. No way that I am the only one he acts that unprofessionally around.No one even asked for my contact info today! So obviously the dealership I leased the car from is not planning on following up with me. So much for that “lifelong partnership” as mentioned in their mission statement.I called Honda Factory and opened a claim. I was told the claim would be escalated and that I would hear back from someone today. I did not.The Honda dealership my car is being serviced at arranged a rental car for me which I totally appreciate and quite honestly expect but they said and I quote “although Honda does not normally cover loaner cars- Honda has approved a loaner vehicle for you until your car is repaired.” Shame on Honda and Hoehn for making this seem like such a hoop to jump through. I put a lot of money down and make a monthly payment for a brand new car I cannot drive that already has MAJOR mechanical and safety issues after only three months!!!! I would expect a dealership and Honda to bend over backwards to help a customer in this situation. Not pass me off and make me feel “honored” to have the help.I will NEVER do business with Hoehn Honda in Carlsbad. I will NEVER purchase another Honda. Bob Baker Subaru is next door and they have a superb sales and service team and Subaru stands behind their vehicles. Ken Grody Ford across the street is a close second. In fact, any dealership is better than Hoehn Honda of Carlsbad. Norm Reeves Honda in Vista has been helpful. Ryan their service manager has been professional, prompt and involved. I would go their if you want to purchase an unreliable Honda😊

I have a 2014 Honda Odyssey, which I purchased at Hoehn Honda and have been taking it to them for service and maintenance from day 1. Professionalism is the first word that comes to mind to describe the service department. It is a well organized group of knowledgeable folks with a strong desire to make the customer happy. My car has 120K miles on it and it is like new. In a couple of occasions there were repairs needed (we drive almost 20K miles per year) and they were handled properly in every way. Even if the cost may be slightly above what you would pay at your neighborhood mechanic, the expertise and the little things they can do to help you out definitely make up for it. All in all, I intend to hold onto my car for at least another 100K miles and with these folks in my corner I have no doubt Id be able to accomplish that.

Honestly it wasn’t my experience with honda that was upsetting it was the Asian lady who greeted me at the dealer today. I went looking for a specific model which wasn’t there it was actually in a different lot they have 10 minutes away. The lady seemed so bothered she didn’t want to go all the way to the other lot like I was wasting her time. She kept trying to show me “higher end models”. She was pretty rude when I kept insisting I wanted to see the exact model I asked to see. It was frustrating so I just left and went to the Honda in vista instead and purchased the car there 🤷‍♀️

Dont trust their service dept. They are just like any service dept in the industry. Their service writer jobs are to try to get as much money out of you! I brought in my Civic to fix a recall on the air bags Of course they called me back with a quote on other needed repairs. They came up with about $2K more of repairs I need to get done. They didnt know I have a regular guy that fixes my cars and he just looked at my Civic last month and said I was all good. I didnt use him since I had to fix a recall and only a dealership could do the repair. One of the things I needed to replace was my battery according to them. I declined getting the battery replace since I can get a cheaper one through AAA. When the car shows up at my place I get in the car and it starts right up. The AAA guy checks the battery since I told him they said it needed to be replace and he laughed and show me the battery check report!!!! Scammers!!!!!!!

At lease origination, I purchased the service contract resulting in a $25 addition to each monthly payment. Each time I’ve attempted to utilize the contract, I was told the paperwork had not been submitted and I was required to pay for the service out of pocket.I’ve emailed my concerns and completed a lengthy survey I received in response to my email. In the survey, I asked for a call to discuss my concerns. None was received. I made countless phone calls to Honda as well as the dealership that failed to submit the paperwork: Hoehn Honda in Carlsbad, CA. The manager at Hoehn first advised that to be refunded the over-payment, I’d first need to purchase or lease another vehicle. He then committed to research the issue and call me back the same day. He did not. After two weeks, I called again and left a message. He did not return my call. I called a third time and spoke with him. He had not researched the issue, committed again to do so and call me back, and again did not call me.Further, the last two times I brought my car to a Honda dealership for service, my car was kept overnight despite being ready for pickup by noon. I had morning appointments both times; each service should have taken approximately thirty minutes. On the last occasion, a phone was stolen from my car and a nasty note left for me on the back of the service employee’s business card. That is a felony.

This is for the service department... They are truly amazing. Was able to make a same day appointment for an oil change. Mr Jim is the person who worked with me. He was very through explaining things to me and he even checked on me in the waiting area to make sure I was ok and offered me water. It took less then the 2 hour wait time to which is always good. Definitely felt more like family then another customer. If you need someone to work with in the service department ask for Mr Jim.

I bought a 2019 Passport in April 2019 and have been very disappointed with the car and Hoehns service. I have multiple issues with the car including some safety concerns that have not been resolved to my expectations. Their standard answer is that the car is functioning to expectations. Baloney!! I tried to get a buy back under Ca Lemon Laws, but was not successful. From the very beginning in the sales process many of the cars features were not explained to me and the sales person spoke very fast. I should have walked away at that point, but Ive owned several Honda/Acura product over the years and trusted the brand. I am done with Honda!

Shopping as a single woman is already stressful as it is. I came into Hoehn Honda after being treated poorly at other dealers. I worked with a salesman in which I told him the vehicles I was looking for. I test drove two and expressed my preferences in both. I loved the special edition but wanted the sapphire color with grey interior. I was told it did not come like that. He kept telling me to the 2020 was a managers special and it had more value. I told him cloth seats bothered me and I have 4 children so that was a major concern but the color combo is what I really wanted. I sat down to run numbers and start working a deal. I wanted the 2021 special edition but it was not in the colors that I wanted and he kept swaying me back to the 2020. I even informed him several times money was not an issue as I could purchase the car in cash if I needed to but I wanted to take advantage of building my credit even more. Well long story short I ended up with the 2020 as I was talked into it. I left with a car and no paperwork as it was supposed to be emailed to me...it did not come. The car was not even cleaned inside before I took the car. I drove home and the more I drove the car the more I realized I was not happy. The next morning I received an inventory update sheet from a local dealer and found the exact car I was told did not exist. I called and expressed my concern and no one apologized and just make excuses. I explained that I was really unhappy with the car and I did not want it and I was lied to. Even being in front of the car they were still telling me the car did not exist. The guy that sold me the car kept trying to talk in circles and repeat himself saying he gave me a great value. Well after speaking to a new dealer and they pulled the invoice and showed me the breakdown and I did not even receive the Honda wide incentive. I was given a deal but in reality I was taken advantage of and screwed over. Even after calling several times to get information and request the paperwork it took forever to even get the payoff amount for the new dealer. The new dealer took a huge hit on my trade in and even lowered the 2021 to below MSRP for me just so I was not upside down on a loan. I ended up losing close to 5k in fees and taxes because I was talked into a car I did not want and was lied to by being told the car I wanted did not exist. Overall, I would not recommend this dealer to anyone. They seem like they are giving you a deal but in the end they are just looking to make a sale and not really listening to your needs. I am very upset at the fact that I was taken advantage of, but another dealer took a hit so that I could have my dream car. I love Honda and I love my new car ( the one that did not exist) but I would never send anyone else to this dealer....beware their low prices are actually thousands above what they are down in South Bay area.I would like to add that team was kind during the transaction and it could be that the salesman truly did not know the inventory. Which as a salesman he should have been. but as soon as I expressed my frustrations and dissatisfaction he was more concerned with trying to talk me into like the car instead of trying to rectify the situation or even offer an apology for his lack of knowledge.

Angelina is amazing. She made my experience so easy and I left very confident in my purchase of my 2020 civic ex hatchback. The whole process took maybe 2 hours total. From start to finish she was right by my side keeping me informed every step of the way. In the end I got an amazing deal and the car I have wanted for years. The salesman, Palan and finance person, Kat; truly went above and beyond to help us get the car we wanted, at a great price and good financing!Took the car in a couple days later for accessories to be added our service advisor, Jesse Alonso was great. Had a light that looks like an airbag light on after an airbag recall a few years back but was too busy to bring it back. Brought it back for two new recalls and they checked the light and fixed it even though it wasnt really to the first recall repair. I really appreciated they didnt charge me for it. I would recommend.

Took car in for servicing and car came back with a 2 foot long crack in the windshield. Dealership vehicle inspection showed that car had no damage. When I got car back I mentioned the new crack which apparently they did not notice. Service manager stated that damage was preexisting despite preinspection showing no such damage and took no responsibility. I would not recommend.

Compared to all the other salesman we have worked with Dave, was the most upfront and knowledgeable. He was able to impart information all the other salesman omitted or didnt know. Painless visit. Scheduled 9 am service for my Honda van airbag recall. In and out in less than hour. Service employees were professional and courteous. Waiting area has plenty of seating, complimentary coffee and refrigerated bottle water. Guest Wi-Fi and TV also.
