Went in to get tire replaced yesterday. Was told it would take 1 hour to get tire replaced. Almost 3 hours later my car was still where I parked it. I asked what was going on with it they advised they were waiting for approvals. I had to ask for my keys back as I have work to do. They advised the would call me when the free up. As of right now no update from them. Poorly ran company

I called in for an oil change (John answered) at the very last minute. I understand it wasn’t a good idea, but why agree if you weren’t going to be able to provide service in the first place? Waste of time

Place is pretty good, took my car here a few times and they manage everything well, very upfront and honest about my car, the manager Johnny is helpful saved me time and money

The Manager Johnny was polite, courteous, professional and extremely helpful and knowledgeable. My car was fixed promptly and to my satisfaction. As long as Johnny is at this location I will remain a loyal customer.

I used to trust this company and particularly this location with my vehicles. I had previously found that they were fair and honest about work. Im unsure if theyve had a recent change of management but my experiences have changed drastically. Getting ahold of them on the phone has been difficult. Id be willing to accept that so they can help in store customers...but when they ask if they can call you back when its less busy, they dont. So that is a waste of time. Due to the lack of simple respect to call back, Ive decided to go elsewhere and now I find out they have over torqued a bolt and Im left to deal with it. Ill update this review after I hear back but if it were me, Id avoid this shop and the firestone brand altogether if able based on how they handle customers.

Came in today and waited 3 hours for one tire to get fixed. Called ahead of time as I could have another location. Never coming back to Firestone again.

Now I understand all the bad reviews...I called in the afternoon to schedule an appointment first thing in the morning to just replace a blinker light. They told me over the phone that they would have the bulb in the morning and they would also do an electric check to make sure that wasnt the issue.Dont even get helped untill 15 mins after my appointment time. Im literally the only one there for the first hour.Takes 1.5 hours to replace my bulb which didnt end up working later and told later that they didnt run an electric check either and charged me $50.Terrible service..

These guys knew that I had a stalker that I was concerned was causing damage to my vehicle. I trusted these guys I even apologized to one of the managers and bought him lunch when i tought they were over charging me, well it turns out these guys KNEW my stalker and were giving him updates of my suffrage. I would bring them my car in dyer need to help me and they would mock me and say oh is this something you beleive your stalker did again. In two years i spent over 8100.00 and all along they KNEW of the situation. I trusted you guys. I trusted you guys.

Manager went above and beyond to get an issue resolved. I bumped my previous 4 star rating to a 5. Would be higher if I had the option. RECOMMENDED!

Dishonest. Tried to tell me my caliper was broken when they loosened the banjo bolt just enough for it to leak when the brake is depressed. Wanted to charge me $250 in parts alone for something I fixed with a wrench in 30 seconds. Went in for an alignment to begin with and my truck still isnt right. On top of that my truck is now making a loud clunking noise when I turn that was not present prior to the alignment

I had an 11am appointment for an oil change. I made the appointment a week in advance. When I arrived I was told it would be a four to five hour wait... For my scheduled OIL CHANGE! Im now at Walmart getting it done. Save your time and money and go elsewhere.

These guys let customers wait for 3 hours for oil change. And asked changing the filter after 2 hours later. Poorly ran and smelling scam to ripp off the customers. Do not go to this place.

The only place near Oceanside that was open on sundays. Good service. And fair prices.

My daughter had the under engine cover come off while on a trip from AZ. That was pretty stressful as it makes a racket while driving and I couldnt tell what the noise was over the phone and photos didnt help a lot. We called the store and Lena answered - super helpful and this was at 3 PM on a Friday before the 4th of July Weekend. She fit my daughter in, had the piece remove and let us know it was OK to drive home and no charge. Great peace of mind as a parent as Firestone wouldve been closed as would Honda on the 4th. GREAT SERVICE and we are 26 years with Firestone in Scottsdale/Thunderbird. This store took care of a very concerned parent and a distraught daughter. Thanks Lena and to the manager. GREAT WORK!

You guys lost out on buisness today. Firestone was scared to put on rims that were powder coated. Guy try give me lip when I asked why? .. I gladly went to Discount tire on coast hwy by oside blvd . They did a fantastic job and the main thing THEY WERNT SCARED TO DO THEIR JOB. Won’t ever go to firestone ever anymore.

Been here twice. Oil changes tire rotations/balance. Always try to recommend other stuff.

The staff here was pressured and completely swamped; however, they were able to squeeze us in for a quick battery check up. Turns out the battery wasn’t fully connected, which they fixed for us fast.Appreciate the friendly and cordial staff here.

You make an appointment and still have to wait over an hour &1/2 before your car even gets seen. Whats the point of making an appointment if you still have to wait. People have things to do in their lives, thats why we make appointments. Not happy at all and ice been coming here for my oil changes for a long time. Never had such terrible service.Update: 2 hours after my appointment time and finally my car is done. This is ridiculous.

Had always had a good experience until about a week ago. They had always been honest until they tried to say I needed services done that didnt need to be done. Could have had a good returning customer.

Great service. Stopped by with a flat on rental Hertz. They took care of it without issues. Hertz has a deal with them so the service is easy and quick.

I used to like and trust these guys, but their practices have been getting less ethical.I took my car elsewhere after being told my brakes were down to only 2mm, because a family friend was willing to do it for just the cost of parts. While dealing with this, I learned the brakes in question were at 5mm. I will not be taking my business back, and Im glad I didnt pay their prices for the job, since they were willing to lie to me to get business.

Great Service and really nice to do businesss with. I was late picking my car up and the manager stayed and reopened the register so I could pay for my service. He was very gracious and polite and accepted my apology. The service was done on time and my brakes are great. They always do a nice job at the Firestone in Carlsbad. The prices are fair and the service is great. I like that I can drop my car off and pick it up after my shift is over since its within walking distance of my work place.

They did a great job with my car I thought they were going to charge me an arm and a leg and they didn’t I would recommend them.

It’s a decent facility, but there seemed to be only one or two workers here. I feel bad for them being understaffed, but we still had to wait 4+ hours for an oil change that we were told would take an hour to an hour and a half at most. If you come here, you will have time to get your errands done. Good customer service and nice employees. (Edit just learned our worker took his lunch break so thats why we are waiting OVER 4 HOURS for an oil change and brake fluid clean out)

Forever being treated like family at this location!! Nick and Rick are always my go-to guys and I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my car. After being screwed over by multiple dealerships, I finally gave them a shot since my families been going here forever and I’ve had nothing but amazing service. From excellent service to absolute no BS.. these guys seriously kick ass. Wouldn’t know what I’d do without these guys now!

I came in on Saturday around noon. The guy behind the counter seemed like he did not want to be there. ZERO urgency to help us out. He made me feel like I was a burden on his day. I dont understand the problem. Firestone pays you to show up for work and give quality customer service, right? Well you did not give me quality customer service. And for that reason I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Always so helpful and I never feel like they are trying to take advantage of the situation. Wont take my car anywhere else. Oh and that life time alignment plan is amazing👌

Three and a half hours so far (still here) and the oil change is NOT complete. They thought they could get to it by one and a half hours...hadnt even been touched a two hours. Unless you have all the time in the world this is not a place to go. Also, considerably more expensive than any of the three other places I have gone to previously.

I bought a lifetime alignment package for my car, because it needs to be realigned often. It is so worth it. You can wait in their waiting room, which has good AC and free coffee. Or you can walk over to the mall and shop while you wait. They will call you when your car is ready.

Extremely great service

Service here sucks!! Brought my car in for a oil change. I called them 1hrs in a half to follow up on my car and the guy who answered told me it was going to be ready in 15min. By the time I walked here 10 min had passed and the guy at the front desk told me it will take 25min. It took 3hours for a simple oil change. Im not coming back ever again. The service here sucks.

Erik W, their manager extraordinaire, left this particular store recently. Ever since then, it is impossible to get in within a reasonable amount of time. I have been put on hold and forgotten, I have been told I would get a call back and did not, 5-hour waits for an oil change on a weekday in the middle of the day. I have never been so discouraged about a former favorite...Firestone blew it. Their new manager sucks and apparently does not know how to staff his shop at their busy times let alone their supposedly quiet times.The previous managers have done things like trying to up-sell me on perfectly fine tires and brakes while screwing up my oil change by putting too much in or forgetting to put a particular washer on the oil drain plug... I do not believe I will be able to trust these people again. Erik seems to be the exception to the rule and he is now an exception in another location.Shame too. After all that work that Erik W did to impress me, I was ready to give them a brake job. Now the ceramic pad hits the rotor and Firestone screws up.Mourning the loss of a well-run shop. One that Firestone still lists Erik as the manager...

Came in on an emergency off the freeway. That helped us above ond beyond. Coming from Chula Vista area and having your car shake and not know whats going on. Thank you for your help...

Clean and greeted upon entry. Even in line other customers were being served not in order. Representative could barely hear which resulted in a longer wait and many repetitive sentences.

Had to replace a headlight bulb . After lots of confusion at different auto parts stores PLUS people who couldnt figure out HOW to replace the bulb, ERIC at Firestone turned out to be the hero of the hour ! Not only did he know how to do it, he did it quickly and with a smile . Thank you SO MUCH, Eric and the hug was nice too !

Consistent let down. I’d have a better chance talking to a witch doctor to fix my car. I’m not sure if they even know what they are doing, and as far as prices it’s anyone’s guess as to how they figure that out. I asked them how much it would cost to replace a belt and they said $300 plus the cost of the belt! Even for California that is really high. Easily the worst repair shop I’ve ever been too.

Constant let down with this place, I schedule an appointment for a simple oil change which should only take half hour. Well i check after 45 minutes to see whats going on and they still havent changed the oil. I asked whats going on and they said there still waiting for oil because they are out. I dont get how they can make the same mistakes over and over. Almost two hours later and Im still waiting. Last time Im coming to this Firestone.

I called here for tire service on wifes Porsche and they tried to upsell my wife on a bunch of stuff she didnt need. Firestone wanted 182$ Sears auto center charged 22$

This place is an absolute joke and are criminals and tried taking advantage of my girlfriend. She has a slow leak in her tire and we took it in to get repaired. We dropped it off at noon on Sunday, They told us they would have it done by 6pm Sunday night which was not a problem at all we had nothing going on and were not in a rush but just told them we needed it back Before they closed. My girlfriend started calling at 5:45 after we had not heard anything they put her on hold 3 times and were extremely rude. At 6:05 they told her the hole was not in the side wall but that it couldn’t be repaired. Then they informed us that they only had one tire left on stock to fit her truck which hey we only needed one tire so we should be good. They then informed her since they only had one tire in stock that it would be $285 to get the truck back Sunday night or wait until Monday morning and it would be $97. This is taking advantage of a women at its finest and luckily my girlfriend is smart enough to say no. We carpooled to work on Monday and took it to discount tire and they said it’s was just a little bitty hole right where firestone marked it and Discount Tire fixed it free of charge!!

Outstanding customer service. Helped me with everything dealing with the Hertz rental car flat tire.

Not the best experience but not the worst. They recommended services that are not needed or due. Not a great fan.

Did a great job on the car head light.

Excellent tires and servicing of them, HOWEVER, VERY QUESTIONABLE PRACTICES, e.g., suggesting oil change at 3k miles while their recommendation is 4k miles and the vehicles manufacturer recommends 7.5 k; and claiming lug nuts have to be replaced (+/- $150) because cosmetic tops expanded) when they had problems removing one. Take away, limit their use to servicing the tires.

Worst ever. Had appointment. Brought car in for simple oil change, was told two hours. We walked to the near by mall to kill time. An hour and 40 minutes later the car still on the same parking space. Checked with sa, went into shop, five minutes later another sa came out saying were pulling in now. Are you kidding me?! What in the world is that?! Not coming back ever.

Was going to work my light came on looks like the tires light. On my way to work..Im gonna be late great! I decided to stop at this particular Firestone at the mall closer before my tires give out. The place was sort of busy a few costumer waiting ahead of me. Waited not very long, guy named Eric greeted me, I explained what happen to my car, I said my light tire light just came on and if he can have a look at it, he ask if I can park my car in one of the opening at the back. I did, he checks the tires..and at the passenger tires in the back as he was giving it air as I was to check as well..Big NAILS on the side poked into, my tire was literally on the ground. He said tires need change its still a good tires but the nail was in the wrong side and not salvable. Eric gave me an estimate of a few hours, but I think he saw my worried face and over hear me called my work. He called me again and say, I think we can change your tires and you wont wait that long also! He gave me a really good deal on 1 new tires he replaced with. I made it to work and only 25 mins late yeY! Also thank you to Ricardo who was very nice and friendly who change the tires. They save the day! I recommend Firestone at El Camino Real location Carlsbad. Also a 5-Star Service, Thank you so much! you guys I appreciate you! As a first time costumer, Ill be back;)

I had a 1:30 online appointment for $35 high-miles oil change; waited till done at 2:45; they did not seem busy, no others in waiting room at 1:30 so it seemed too long. They Filled tires to correct pressure but tire pressure warning light stayed on; an estimate to shut it off was possible if $29 diagnostic fee was paid. I declined. Total just under $40.00.

We have been using Firestone for five years. Having them do oil changes and regular maintenance on our cars, specifically for the ability to track our vehicles maintenance. Our older car stopped fine, but we wanted a checkup. Suddenly needed over $850 of DIFFERED maintenance work on the brakes. Differed???? 36 days after the last the last brake inspection?????Then the comedy!!!The cars brakes dont work! Oh sorry we had to bleed the brake lines again. As I almost caused an accident.Then the last straw- greasy pant and shirt marks on the drivers seat, complete with creases where the garment folded (I will try and post pictures).Firestone is a good name, this group does not deserve it.Very frustrated. Never again.

DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND JUST GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!! Seriously. My friends car was acting up when she came down from San Celemente, so she brought it to the nearest firestone where she was supposed to have her ac flushed. THATS IT. Long story short they didnt a whole bunch of stuff they werent supposed to and messed up her compressor. She spoke with the manager, I believe his name was Jake, and he said they wouldnt charge her for the miscommunication... Ive NEVER been to a service dept. where they didnt charge for a miscommunication ....FISHY TO ME. COME TO FIND OUT THEY BROKE THE KEY IN MY FRIENDS IGNITION AND DIDNT EVEN TELL HER UNTIL WE GOT HERE TO PICK UP HER CAR. Best part.... THEY GLUED IT TOGETHER!!!! I kid you not people they glued it together. Cant make this stuff up. Wouldnt even give 1 star. Yall should be ashamed of yourself Firestone of Oceanside.

I called at 5:35 pm on Monday the 24th. I was on hold for more than 5 minutes. I hung up and redialed. Guess what...I was put on hold again. It is now 5:46 pm. Will redial one more time before I find another place. Finding another place.

Needed terminals replaced for my two batteries in my Cummins, I had replaced the batteries myself earlier that day. Came in and they looked at it, said they could do it in about an hour so I made an appointment for the next day. Two hours later I’m still sitting here because they “didn’t have the right part and needed to go buy it”. Instead of them ordering it the day before and being prepared when I brought it in they waited until my appointment time to do so. A one hour job has now turned into a three hour job on top of about $100 more than the original price they told me.

I must say I all to ask to make an appointment or help with a time frame and the female answering the phone not only spoke to me like I worked there, but could not understand a word that flew out of her mouth. I then asked her to slow down and she thought I was special.. That will make me and my 1500 dollar cc go to another location . Thanks not nice lady.. YOU may not care but you just lost my Business. Got a brand new tire literally two weeks ago and it already blew out, unbelievable these people obviously just ripped me off for $250.

Scheduled an appointment and the employee who is supposed to be opening up the spot is a no show. Customers waiting outside who had appointment including myself have been waiting over an hour for service. Unorganized, unprepared and all of the employees have been not so friendly. You are better off going to valvoline.

Was going here for oil changes regularly for a year, then suddenly they told me I needed $4,000 worth of work and gave me a list of things that needed to be replaced... Got a second opinion and turns out nothing needed to be replaced at all.... Bad business.

$42 for standard oil change $9.99 for tire rotation and vehicle inspection. They said that was cheap!! Haha. Dont go here unless its your last option like it was for me.

Had a damaged wheel that was leaking and so I ordered a new or brought it in to have the old tire mounted on new wheel. Old tire had no damage, only wear. When I picked it up there were several cuts in side wall, new cuts. And no spine to own up to the mistake. No business from me ever again.

Anytime a mechanic asks you what it is you do for a living before quoting your car service, JUST LEAVE! SHAME ON YOU FIRESTONE.

Great place for reasonable tires

It took a long time (considering I was there with an appointment) but the service was professional and friendly.

The only thing i go there for is to have them check my tire pressure and hope that its the cute guy that comes out and helps me...

Needed a tire replaced went to Walmart and hour before close and was turned away so I ended up at Firestone 45 minutes before close and they said they can help.

Came in right when they opened for an oil change said they couldnt take me because they were booked all day. Oil change..common people get it together.

Garbage needed a diagnostic dobr told me to bring it in before 10 and they would do it show up and tell me they arent taking any cars until mid next week.

Just needed my tire plugged, took over 3 1/2 hours. Go somewhere else.

Had a quote for 190 and tried charging me 1068 dollars this is crazy very unprofessional refused to get the supervisor and just wanted to argue and over talk their customers
