We have been getting service in the Village area since 1997. In the past we went to European Auto on State, mostly good experience but they moved. We started taking our Mercedes, Volvo & VW here. John & Miguel did good work for a while.Unfortunately, our last visit was very bad. Months before John told my wife her brakes on her Mercedes were fine, she came back a couple months late because they were making noise. Then John told her she needs new rotors & pads... She asked him, why didnt you tell me when I was here just 2 months ago. They went back & forth about it & then John started ranting and raving that Mexicans need to go back to Mexico!This was the final straw. John needs help in dealing with fellow human beings. My wife defended Mexicans - although born in LA, her parents are Mexican immigrants - and finally told him, I just want my brakes fixed, you told me they were fine only a couple months ago. He did not admit his mistake and she finally left.We will never go back to this place because:1. They did not fix the pads when they could have, we were stuck with doing both rotors & pads - costing us 150% more.2. There is no need to attack & disparage Mexicans. Especially directly to a Latina & when your business is in The Barrio of Carlsbad - the area founded by Mexican migrants over a century agoIt is time for John to join the 21st century and treat their clients with respect and not attack an American ethnic group, especially during these more challenging times. Just admit when you make a mistake, do not attack clients ethnicity and just do your job!

John is the best! The shop moved right down the street and I like the new location! If I go in for something simple I can walk across the street to Lolas and grab something to eat. I really like how he doesnt try to upsale repairs like the dealers do. If it needs to be done, he will let you know.

John runs a great shop. Honest,up front, and they know their stuff. Cost is much less than a dealership. My wifes 99 c280 has a 145,000 miles on it and she thinks its running better than at 80,000 miles when she was taking it to a dealership.I highly recommend this shop. The review above was about 4 years ago. As of now, July 2014, my wifes car has 230,000 miles on it. The car is gradually falling apart around the drivetrain. The motor still runs like a top and it shift smooth like its new. With that many miles we are taking it day by day though:) Theyve kept it running well and we have chosen which plastic knobs to have replaced and which ones not to along with the headliner which needs to be replaced. My wife decided shes driving that puppy until until it doesnt drive any more!

John and Miguel are true professionals who look out for their customers. Went in for an oil change and they discovered an issue which Mercedes should have caught during my 40k mile service. Even though my warranty had just expired, they put me in touch with a Service Manager at a local MB dealership who helped get the issue resolved and at no cost to me.

This shop is the best. John and Miguel are always on their game. I have been a customer for 15 years. Great service and value.

Great customer service and turn around time. Installed new power steering pump and fuel filter in my 2007 bmw 525i with great results and at a fair price ... Very satisfied!

I have been going there for over 15 years so I think that says what I think of their work and customer service. I recently moved to Temecula but I still take my car to them, a bit of a drive but worth it.

The prices are high and quality is worst.The customer service is poor, the mechanic guy Miguel is unfriendly .Would not recommend.
