My husband surprised me by taking me to what I think is the largest field of sunflowers I have ever been to! The shop is nothing to shout about, its a very specific aestetic that I do not fancy, but to each their own. I was here for the fields and fields of sunflowers! Such variety, and the endlessness made it feel like a fairy tale! They do not supply buckets ot trimmers, though you can purchase those at the shop. When I visited they had an info table with cans and cans of off bug spray. Im usually an insect favorite so I took a bath in that stuff real quick and still got bit up. If insects like you Id recommend some bug spray. Also, wear some shoes you dont mind getting dirty. Parts of the field can be a little soggy, but not too bad.

Visited on a Best Kept Secrets tour. Very interesting place to visit. Amazing what they can do with gourds! Got some interesting Christmas gifts. Would like to go back and tour the factory.

Free sunflower picking! Great place to take some pictures and they have a store with lots to look at.

We were here to do a create your own event. We had a great time and everyone is always so friendly and helpful. There is always so many different gourds to pick from and supplies to use. The store is full of beautiful gourds that are already decorated to purchase.

This is a great place for all. A very beautiful drive to get there. Such great craftsmanship on the gourds. Even have kits and classes to do it yourself. My second visit, this time got there for the sunflower event, vendors and food. Beautiful weather and day.

Bring shears. Massive sunflower field which is free to pick from Kids had a blast! There are lots of artists and vendors on site. Including multiple food trucks. I will definitely be coming back.

What a fun afternoon attending a Create Your Own event! Have been here many times for various events, to buy gourds in their Retail Store, attend Create Your Own events, for their Oops Sale and Easter Egg Hunt. Everyone is so helpful and friendly.

What an amazing place to discover sunflower fields, beautifully-crafted thematic gourds for many seasons, and fine, friendly folks. They had a whole event with several arts and craft tents, including clothing, food trucks, jewelery, and more! A great experience in the middle of nowhere where youve got fresh air and fields of sunflowers. Good times!

Should have been more food trucks lines way to long. Flowers were beautiful! Thank you. Will come back again next year.

This store was fabulous! They sell fully finished crafts and also do it yourself kits. I bought 3 kits and a completed pumpkin. So cool!

Awesome place....they had 2 days that they allowed cutting sunflowers for free of 50 acres of sunflowers. Had crafts and food and lots if fun!!!

Lovely store & beautiful farm! Weve been to pick our own free sunflowers in the fall & later in the year, to buy things for winter crafts & floral arrangements. The selection of supplies is cute & unique. Awesome hollow gourds for crafts! & the staff is extremely nice. Highly recommend!

Wow! Ive never seen so many unique gourds in one place! I did some serious shopping and pkan on returning. They also make great holiday gifts.

My wife loves this place and they have a husband seating section with snacks for purchase. I dont mind going at all since its a nice country drive.

Great time today at the Make your own class. Definitely will be back for another one. The 2 Great guys helping at our 2pm class were so helpful and we had a ton of fun.

Beautiful sunflower fields. A bit of a drive outside of Carlisle but worth it. The gourds are really pretty that they have for sale in the shop. I bought a bunch to paint and decorate myself.

What a fun place to take the family. We ran out of time to take a ride in the wagon but really had a blast picking free sunflowers while checking out pumpkins and hours we wanted to buy for the season. There are some neat photo opportunities on the grounds. The gift shop was very cute with numerous hours crafts to cover all seasons. BUT: be ready for the sticker shock. Due to the complexity and time needed for the work required to produce such beautiful work you will pay a premium... Just remember the items are not coming from China via Walmart-Mart. Rumor has it that there are pretty sweet veteran deals so check that out if you are a vet and thank you for your service.

Took my daughters maternity pictures here. Beautiful fields of sunflowers!! You can pick them for free & there is a clipping station as well as water. They sell mason jars that are a really perfect size for showing off your sunflowers at a great price. So many amazing items made from gourds!! Awesome way to bring in & celebrate Fall. Cant wait for their Sunflower Festival. Their website is really informative as well. If you get a chance it is definitely worth going.

Pick your own sunflowers!

It is a beautiful place to bring kids and family. I could not believe that there is a nice and big craft store in the middle of nowhere and they offer free pick your own sunflowers.We went to pick sunflowers. The field was very wide and many sunflowers were in full bloom. There is a water station to fill the water for your sunflower bucket. It was very nice and kind.We picked big and beautiful sunflowers.If you go up the hill a little further you will see biger and more blooming sunflowers.Thank you for the free sunflowers!

This a great place to visit. The store is filled with gourds for all seasons and reasons. They offer classes to make your own. In the early fall they have fields that you can walk through and pick your own bouquet of sunflowers. They offer pumpkins also. Great place to visit . Once youve visit youll keep coming back!

Very interesting art work for all seasons using gourds. Not inexpensive, however they do good work and what we have purchased has been durable. Visit their website for more information, also veterans discount.

The talent and creativity of these folks is incredible. If you are looking for that special unique gift this is the place to go. Youll probably end up buying more than you expect...I always do.

This place is so fun. The classes they offer are the best. Making your own gourd for the holidays is really neat to display. The prices of the classes are not bad. The store can be a little pricey though. Family owned and very friendly and helpful. They also do a really cool gourd egg hunt at Easter time that is super fun.

This is such a cool experience! My boyfriend and I have been coming here for years to make Halloween and Christmas gourds! Its a tradition we have and such a sweet town too.

Its an awesome place. Beautiful gourds, gifts for everyone. Warm, welcoming staff. Raw gourds to create your own. Kits already made up with all the parts you need, just paint & finish to make it personally yours. Always a joy to visit. I especially like the special workshops they have for the different seasons. They are right there to work with you. Cant say enough good things about this place. I am definitely hooked. Go have fun!!!

Had a great visit collecting Sunflowers and enjoying the store. A wonderful staff works here that is accommodating and helpful. Can be a little difficult to find if you are not from the area but there is no issue with GPS getting you there.Ample parking on the grounds as well.

The sunflower fields are amazing in August/September

I love the fact that they grow fields of sunflowers and share with everyone free of charge. What an absolutely selfless and kind gesture. They also have wonderful handmade treasures to purchase. Sharing happiness with the world one flower at a time!😊

The main attraction that drew us to Meadowbrooke Gourds was the fields of sunflowers! You can clip however you like for free which is great. There was plenty of parking as well. Be sure to wear boots or sneakers if you plan on doing this. We did walk into the store area where they sold gourds. So many different gourds to choose from! If you like gourds, then this is the place for you.

Can not say enough good things about this place. If you take a class and learn how to make your own gourd, they are super helpful and nice. If you want to buy one already made, they have an amazing selection to choose from!!!

Free sunflowers to pick the day we were there. The store is very well presented. Very nice. I really miss the bass player.

This place is truly worth a visit. Its beautiful from late August thru October. Plus who doesnt love FREE sunflowers. I take my daughter here to pick sunflowers because its all free. They will even loan you a pair of cutters to go into the fields with. Staff is amazing. Their gourds are beautiful. Just overall its a great experience.

Beautifully decorated gourds for a variety of holidays like Easter, Halloween and Christmas. On Tuesdays at 2pm they give a tour that is really interesting. It is surprising how labor intensive it is to make these gourds. It makes you appreciate them even more.

A wonderful find for hand-painted gourds for decoration, bird houses, or baskets. It is a little pricey but if youre willing to paint your own, they have lots of kits. So its a lot of fun for the family and you get to cut your own sunflowers for free.

Loved looking at what you do with gourds. My husband and I walked through looking at all of them....beautiful! Then we picked sunflowers and dropped a bouquet off to daughters and several elderly friends. It brightened their day so much! Thank you Meadowbrook Gourds for helping me make some friends happy!
