This is typical of this chain, with the workers being knowledgeable about fabric. For our town, this is about the only choice.

Service was excellent and so was the selection. Its unfortunate that upper management can put the air conditioning on for their customers. Shame.

The staff is incredibly friendly. On my last visit the cashier helped me save over $25 on an order that was over $100, and let me know how to save more on future visits. On previous visits employees helped answer all the questions that I had.

I found out, after going, the sale for what I wanted is only good Thursday on. I DONT LIKE THAT I live too far away to come twice in one week.

I love going to the store to look around. They still had a few Halloween things to pick through and I got some cute fabric to make some pillow covers for Halloween! The girls are always sweet and helpful.

I have never seen people who work with the public be so rude and unhelpful in my life. I asked a store employee a question and she made it quite clear that I was inconveniencing her life. When I told her that I didnt know exactly what took for she got extremely nasty. I simply told her she was being rude and she replied with well you dont have to be here. I left and will not ever be shopping in this store again until management reaches the employees better customer service and better manners. I have worked with the public most of my life and this is not how you treat people !

They have lots of great stuff, but there are some down sides that make this not my favorite place to go for crafting supplies. Its always really busy, and so hard to get help or check out in a timely manner. Also, often the employees dont seem all that interested in assisting you, and if they are willing to help, they dont always know much about what theyre talking about. That said, they have a great selection!

This is my go-to place for buying fabric, yarn, or other crafting supplies. There is always a sale or coupon, so the prices cant be beat. Its less expensive than Hobby Lobby, and the service is 100 times better. The people working there are always friendly and more than willing to help out with selecting materials for a project. Im sure its probably part of the employee training, but someone always asks me what Im working on when I have my fabric measured and cut. If youre looking to buy craft supplies in Carbondale, JOANN is the place to go.

Ive been twice. The first time I went (a few days ago) I found what I needed, burlap and plain tea towels) with the help of an store employee. Very positive experience - 4 stars. The second time (2 days later) I stopped in for an additional pack of tea towels and as I browsed the store I looked up to see an employee picking their nose. Gross. I saw them and they saw me. I wandered off and eventually made my way to the register a far minutes later. The nose picker was behind the register. I put the tea towels back and left. Very gross and unfulfilling experience. 1 star at best.

I went into Jo Ann’s today and when I asked for help the lady was extremely rude. Kept walking off while i was talking to her, then asked me the size of bobbin I had, which I was unsure of so we told her we didn’t know and she became extremely rude and told us that “we don’t have to be in here” I will no longer shop here and I will make sure everyone I know does not as well

I dont know anything about sewing or crafts, so the store felt a bit overwhelming at first. The staff were really nice and helped me find exactly what I needed.

Every time I go there I tell myself never go back again, but I went today and was once again disappointed. Prices are high, items not available and you better be sure you have their app or print off coupons from email or you are totally screwed!

Disappointing store. The criticism from several years ago is still true: they are frequently out of supplies. Their selection in crafts is extremely limited. The fabric displays are tacky. The store has the feel of a bargain basement. It is not creatively inspiring. However, the staff is courteous and helpful.

This fabric store could be better. They rarely have a very full selection of any line of fabric. And they are often out of things.This is compared to JoAnn stores anywhere else!Go here only if you need to, otherwise I recommend shopping around online for fabric.

Very nice staff that are knowledgeable about different products in the store.

They have 3 different colors of grey yarn but they dont have yellow yarn. Then when I asked the manager about it she either lied or they have the worst policy ever where she cant order new items for the store so this place was no help at all. Do yourself a favor and just use their website and get it shipped hopefully they take all these stores out of business and we just work with websites.
