Very nice game store. The people working there are knowledgeable and are very willing to help find what you may be looking for. Half of the store has tables set up for people to come in and play games of all types. On certen days they have organized and somewhat unorganized game events so everyone can get to gather and play the games we all love.
The older guy who works there is incredibly rude. I came in to ask about when they would be doing tournaments or events for games and I was basically talked down on and made to feel stupid for asking. The store itself is great, and it’s sad to see it wasted by its owner.
Has a ton of cool things on display, great for newer or veteran consumers or these types of products. I attended a FNM event, felt a little unprepared and rushed. Staff is super friendly.
The store was clean and wonderfully decorated! The comic book guys was knowledgeable and was easily able to answer my questions and find the comics I wanted.
Staff is very unhelpfully. Went back and had the same experience. The SJ location is much better.
Nice store full of interesting finds. Comics, figures, and manga can be found here. More of a little bit of everything store than a store with anything and everything.
I have had a good time... my kids love this place.. a place you must go😊
I do like this place. But I finally had a truly poor experience here. An older fellow that works there first ignored my presence then followed it with being very condescending. A complete customer service failure. Beyond that all other interactions have been friendly an welcoming.
This place is all about the board games for me. There are no better options around. I kind of like how the people who work here just sort of ignore me. But if you want help, generally, you will have to ask for it
I only go here maybe once or twice a month, but whenever I do, the old guy offers nothing but sass and doesnt care much about customer service, he seemed like a very rude person for the times he was there while I was, reading the other reviews, it seems he just hates children. I would recommend Mythic Games in Santa Cruz instead, the staff are all very nice and I have not had a bad experience with any of them and I go there almost daily, Im going to pull out my business from legends for good, and I recommend you do to.
Every time Ive gone to Legends, the staff have been very friendly and very helpful in getting me and my friends back into the gaming hobby. If you go, feel free to approach any of the staff with any questions you have. They arent condescending, which is something Ive had problems with at other game shops. Overall a great experience.
Great selection of games and collectibles with a large space for groups to meet in.
I love this place because there are several POP figures to choose from ♥️
A customer service nightmare. The staff are in their own world and actively ignore the customers. The boy who checked me out didnt want to hear any of my questions and was very curt and rude with his brief responses. Definitely wont be back.
I love supporting local gaming stores, but every time I come here, the staff is either short with my friends and I or unavailable. The selection is fair, but there should be better management of customer interactions.
I used to know the owner of Legends when he ran Game-A-Lot. The sore has comics, toys, collectables, board games, miniature games, and role-playing games. The employees are friendly and can answer most questions. Additionally they can order upon request.
Had good experiences with all the younger employees. However the store owner “the white haired grinch” is a little bit beyond horrible with customer service. No matter how many times u ask how is day is going he stays silent and when you ask for help he will talk to you like you are stupid. He’s pretty mean to the kids playing games in the store too. Don’t want to support a grouchy store owner. Sell your business if you hate it so much.
Went for a Magic the Gathering pre release with a friend, didnt know much about the game but the staff were super friendly and helpful!
I guess this is what happens when a comic book shop moves into a mall. Zero character sterile environment coupled with “don’t give a crap” service. Don’t waste your time. Find a real shop.
Fun place. Decent variety in nerd games
Great selection of games, friendly staff and lots of War Hammer
Great FLGS, good place to game, talk with staff and get some games.
Sandwich I got.was delicious n service as well
Fat man at counter was rude and angry. I was very excited about purchasing some comics until I approached the counter. Not great service.
My favorite comic book store awesome staff great knowledge awesome store & products never change
The Staff is friendly, the community is welcoming, and theyre always up a pick-up game of Fluxx.
Great, friendly, inviting, and full of great and assorted games. No other card store Id been to still really supported the game I was looking for, but they did.
Good selection of board games.
What can I say about this place that the owner wont tell you about anyway? Well heres one of my favorite reviews: From: Jessica I am appalled at the way this business is run an I will be reporting you to the better business bureau. While waiting for the draft to start the owner pointed at me and said Im tryin to get more women to come then despite the fact that I pre-registered a week ago. I was placed Im the second group downstairs. I was number 50 on the list and I had friends in the 70s and 90s in the tournament upstairs. There I(s) only one reason I was relocated and that because I am a woman. That is poor business...
Cool place, but it smells of body odor from the twenty guys playing with their pokemon cards.
One of the only game/hobbies shops in Capitola. The mall isnt the best location but it gets the job done. Love the shop. Daily tourneys for different games such as Yugioh, Magic, and Force of Will. Some days are D&D or a different Tabletop game. Prices arent super good but they have the best selection of board games, TCGs, and miniatures in Capitola. Theres a decent amount of manga and comics too. I would definitely recommend this place for gifts for the gamer in your life or if youre looking for something new to play for the game night with friends/family.
Great selection of board games/card games and helpful, kind staff!
Love this place- the staff are always willing to help and chat away about comics or movies
I go here to buy manga if your looking into buying manga and your in Capitola this is the place to go (^-^)
Nice selection of board games.
This is the best comics store Ive been to
Always room at the tables for a game with a collection of sale items rangingFrom vintage to newer limited editions.
Its a passable comic book store
Not a huge selection, but good people, board games and Magic.
Honestly the older guy that works there is pretty rude to the younger customers (kids)
Really great staff who are welcoming
Best shop in town
