This was the most painless car purchase Ive ever made and by far best customer service. I saw a car online (I live 4 HOURS AWAY) and got in contact with Alina who spent lots of time texting back and forth with me, even into later hours when I messaged frantically wanting this car. She got me in contact with Chris who helped me with all the logistics of getting the purchase done over phone/email. He got it all finalized in a day and kept me posted and then set up NEXT DAY DELIVERY 4 hours away. How can this be this easy? Use these people! Got my car this morning and Im beyond happy. Its everything they said plus some. Putting trust into a car you havent seen is scary but that just shows the integrity this dealership has.
Took my 2019 Tacoma in for service on Saturday morning. Busy, busy dropping off my truck, but was helped in a timely manner considering how many vehicles were there for service. My service consultant, David Rotter was very friendly and pleasant to work with. David was so friendly and personable that I would definitely use Santa Cruz Toyota Service again. Dropped my truck off early and had my truck back by early afternoon!
The experience buying my 4 runner was great at Toyota Santa Cruz. The 3 individuals Johnny, Jeff and JP listened to me and worked with me so I could actually get the truck of my dreams and they worked with me from looking at various cars, agreeing to financing terms that I could afford to completing the contracts and swing the process through. All of these men were kind, professional and worked within the terms I could do! Thank you Toyota, it was awesome!
I appreciate getting my key fobs cut and programmed on such short notice. I did not have an appointment. My key fob broke and I went straight to the dealership. They had it done in 3 hours. The only complaint I have is that I had to wait over 20 minutes for the car to be brought out to me after I paid.
Something has changed at SC Toyota! ☹️After many years of great service this time the service was horrible. When I arrived at my scheduled time in the morning the checking guys were standing around chatting among themselves and never checked me in. After I walked into the service department to get things going they told me i would be helped by checking number and to return to my car. Cars arriving behind me had checking numbers but I did not so when the service guy walked out he told me he had to go by the numbers even though I was parked in front of every one else. That afternoon I got a call from one of the dealers sales guys (Ryan) asking if I wanted to sell my car. He said they had customers looking for cars like mine and would be interested in buying my even though I was not in the market for another car. I was nearby when he called so I stopped by to see what they might offer me.The appraiser that I met was a grump and said that Ryan never told him I wasn’t interested in buying a car. After wasting 30 minutes if my time the appraiser indicated that they weren’t really interested in my car and he made me a ridiculous offer.By that time it was late afternoon and my service was promised to be finished by 6 pm I decided to wait for my car before heading into commute traffic home.I waited until 6 pm and had received no call from the service department. When I called they said that all the service reps had gone home. When I pressed them they said that my service rep would be back within 15 minutes and that I should wait. I pressed a bit more on this and they suggested that it might be better for me not to wait but they said that my service rep would definitely call that evening. I never got a call until the next morning. That call was to tell me that they recommended another bunch of work be done on my call and that one of the items I had requested wasn’t completed because they didn’t have a part. I told them not to do anything more. When I arrived to pick up my car they never reviewed the safety inspection that had been performed, which in the past they had always done and had often been very helpful. My service guy was on the phone when I arrived and he just handed my paperwork to the guy next to him and said let’s get Steve out of here. No review of the work or vehicle safety inspection. Just pay the money…Horrible experience!!!
The personnel at Santa Cruz Toyota are always so friendly and helpful. They are attentive to every need of the customer. I have trust in their work and feel like their prices are fair. All the work is guaranteed!
Staff and really helpful and friendly. Work done in a timely fashion and they don’t try to sell you anything you don’t need.
Hunter was great! Friendly and helpful as I needed other information on my car on top of the regular scheduled maintenence.
Not sure anyone wants to read this, but since you asked for a review. In a positive vein, the people I spoke with on the phone at the “front desk”, as well as in the service department were polite and pleasant. Cory and the front desk were both very professional. However, for a recall for a small Factory Covered wiring harness which supposedly took 30 minutes of a technician’s shop time, my truck was in the service department for four full days. I was told originally that the part would be ordered and it should be in and out in a day. Several hours after I dropped it off at my scheduled appointment time, I was called to be told that the part had not been ordered. In the next couple of days the wrong part was ordered, and finally after four days the correct part arrived and was replaced. There were a lot of unnecessary delays, and blame doesn’t help anyone, but it was frustrating. When I picked up the truck some personal items had been removed from the cab and placed in a small office, where I was able to retrieve them and put them back in the vehicle. A different service tech checked me out and commented on the fact the truck had been there for four days. The whole experience felt like I was not a valued customer, now or in the future. I’m a huge believer in the Toyota brand, having owned several in my life, and still registering two right now, but I was disappointed in this service experience.
I had to have Santa Cruz Toyota do an emergency fix on my car when my family took a day trip to the beach. The service department had stock on hand to do the repairs. My service rep Mark Schwartz was the best! He was super informative, caring and got my car into the shop for the repairs needed. I had to get a rental car for my trip back home as the repairs would take a bit longer than just a few hours. Olivia at the Rental car desk was also a valuable member of the Toyota team. She got me a rental that I was able to have for an additional 2 days if needed. Fortunately the repairs were completed the following morning and Mark informed me that the car should be done by 3pm. This gave me plenty of time to make the 2 hour drive back to the shop and the car was ready when I arrived. It was a bit of an expensive service but it was expected for what was needed. I thank God that my car died at the parking lot instead of the drive over the hill which could have been fatal to me and my family. Thank you so much Santa Cruz Toyota 💕 🙏🏻If I lived closer, I would be servicing my vehicle at this facility! Its a busy place but the service team is top notch! Those guys in the garage know what they are doing and they are quality and efficient! Great job to the owner of this dealership, you have a great staff and I would highly recommend Santa Cruz Toyota. Thank you again for making what could have been a horrible experience, one that left a positive lasting experience in my mind. 💕 🙏🏻
It starts with waiting 25 minutes on a scheduled appointment to see an advisor. The advisor was great, its not his fault they over book and under staff. They used to have Express service, which is impossible now. They need to make major changes, as it used to be a lot better. Presume the actual work is fine, they just need to clean up their act.
They honored the coupon and although it was several hours for an oil change, that is what we were told. They did the service and everyone was nice. Drop off was slow, but pick up was easy.
I have been on the road for over a month and needed the first service on my almost new vehicle. I called Santa Cruz Toyota on Friday afternoon to ask if I could get my maintenance done at any Toyota dealership. They told me that I could and scheduled me for early Monday morning. I arrived in time and they promptly checked me in. My service was done in less than one and a half hours, as they had promised. I am very pleased with the whole experience.
Why make an appointment? You will still need to wait at least three hours, (I waited 4) for an oil change, be told your car is being worked on when you can see that it is still in line, be told they are finishing up, then wait another 45 minutes. It would be nice to know this ahead of time, so that you can make plans for a ride, rather than plan to wait at the dealership for 4 hours for an oil change you made an appointment for.I chose to take my under warranty Toyota for the included maintenance. Id rather pay my local mechanic the $69 and wait for less that an hour. 4 hours of my time is worth much more than $69.I wont be back.
I had a very pleasant experience. They had the vehicle I wanted and there was no pressure in the negotiations. Everything was thoroughly explained. I love my new RAV4 Limited and love the idea that the service department is open 7 days a week in case I need them. My sales team of Bob Weiser, JP and Simon were knowledgeable, friendly and professional. I even got to meet the owner! Very very happy.
Very bad and deeply concerning experience with the service department. Beware! We took our 2020 Rav 4 in for an oil change at the 3500 mile mark, as we were leaving on a long trip and requested a change. Not only did they refuse to change the oil, they actually put a sticker on the window showing it HAD been changed and was due in another 7500 miles!(which would put the miles at 12,000 for next one)Upon returning from the trip we took it back in again on Sept 8th for an oil change. They said it was done. The service receipt said it was done. The photo Im posting shows the condition of the oil only ONE WEEK later-(thank God I checked)..it was filthy, smelly and clearly not changed or partially changed. I pulled the dipstick on my 2003 V8 Tahoe for reference, with 2500 miles driven since last change and it was lighter colored than the Rav 4 oil and I have 200,000 miles on my Tahoe. Adding to this, the service dept once recommended 10,000 between changes which is waaay too long - ask any mechanic. We were forced to forego our already paid for 3 year service and had the oil change finally done elsewhere and it is honey colored like it should be. You MUST CHECK YOUR OIL after servicing at this dealership! Not good...Toyota Santa Cruz appears to be misleading customers so that fewer services are performed within the 3 year service window(saving them big$$) or they are incompetent or flat out fraudulent in their service reports. Does this photo look like 7 days with fresh oil? Hmmm
They are the best company I have ever worked with. They are very welcoming and make you feel like they appreciate you. This company is the most accommodating business ever. They are willing to work with you as long as you are communicating with them. Every employee had a smile on their face and happy to be there. I will never buy a car from anyone else. They are very accepting of people of with disabilities.
I came in for service. The service of my car was excellent. I had to leave my car and was only told I would be given a car to use during that time. I have coverage for a rental car but instead had to pay out of pocket because this wasnt explained. The rental car person was something else. I told her I needed a vehicle that would cover my two kids, while I had a child and car seat with me. She gave me a truck with a half back seat. I spent 30 minutes in the parking lot solo song every kind of maneuver I could to get my child in his car seat and home safely. I had to put the passenger seat so far up it was unusable. She left because it was the end of the day, so no clue about that. Service done timely. They dont wash cars because of drought, which is fine, but my dirty car came back with bird poop covering it in 5 different areas, including a door handle. They called me 5 days after I returned the rental because they found the car and didnt know when I returned it (I gave the keys to the service person when I got my car back who said he would take care of it). I trust my car was well taken care of by service, but would not do things the same had I known. They guy who brings the car out and gets rid of the coverings to keep the car clean in service was very helpful, kind, timely and did good job.
Thank you Chuck for such a wonderful experience. I appreciate everyone who assisted with finding my new 2021Hybrid Rav-4 dream car & color and having it delivered to the dealership. Such great team work! Thank you Tom for referring Chuck to us. You both are fantastic❣ Everything went very smoothly and all that was promised was done. We will definitely highly recommend this dealership to friends, family& everyone👏👏
Ed Hardy at Santa Cruz Toyota shepherded us through the peeled paint replacement on our Rav 4. We are very satisfied with Ed Hardy and the Toyota Customer support program: 5 STARS ALL AROUND !
Best experience from a dealership that I have ever received. So fast and very thorough through the whole process. I highly recommend Santa Cruz Toyota to everyone.
Isidro’s the best service advisor! Very efficient and friendly and always answers my questions throughly. He got recommended to me by 3 people and I will recommend him to many more! Thank you for a great experience!
From the beginning Toyota staff have been very courteous and helpful. They have done a complete and thoughtful inspection safety check service. Oil change and detail of my car they also provide shuttle service. charges are fair and reasonable. They are a great team to deal with
Good experience except I had to ask several times for someone to bring my car out once the work was completed. Other than that I was pleased overall.
As others say...why make an appointment This dealership has zero understanding of what an appointment means. You make an appointment for 0900 to have your oil changed. So an oil change take say an hour to do but no you dont get to leave at 1000 because your appointment was simply an appointment to drop your vehicle off. You still are behind everyone else...even those who had no appointment but happen to be at the dealership before you. I change my own oil now because my time is valuable monetarily. And a surprise bend over and take it from Santa Cruz Toyota....The requested TWO license plates for my vehicle. So at my first renewal I get TWO renewal notices! An hour of time on the phone with the DMV I find that I must visit IN PERSON the DMV and bring in the two registrations so they can cancel the license plate that doesnt exist. I will never speak positive of this dealer and will never recommend its service department to anyone!
Service was great and friendly. I have to mention that even with an appointment I had to wait in line for an hour before seeing a service advisor. The online scheduler needs improvement too. I couldn’t find a way to see appointments and cancel to reschedule.
The last three visits have been very disappointing. Unfortunately we have to keep on visiting this place because this is where I bought my services. The service writers have been very unwelcoming, they lack customer service. Are usually schedule my appointments in the mornings for my services and wait in the waiting area this last time I waited almost 3 hours and no one would send me a text or call me on my cell phone number which was asked during my arrival. I finally got up and asked the service writer if my truck was ready. He looked at me and said let me find your paperwork then he called over the walkie-talkie and ask for my car to be brought up. He just gave me the paper and asked me to sign didn’t even go over what service my car had received or what was coming up to be do and he said that my truck was going to be brought up for me at the front to wait outside. I have never been so disappointing and I will never buy a future car with this dealership again. This is the fifth car I have purchased with them and services are just the worst their staff needs customer service training and communication training
Worked with sol in the service department. He was very patient and got all the work done on my truck very fast. Overall amazing service
I’ve had my current vehicle (Toyota 4-runner) for a couple of years now and have had all of the recommended services done at Toyota of Santa Cruz. Each time they’ve been exceptionally helpful and courteous. I highly recommend them for vehicle maintenance!
Everyone you speak to seems helpful and appears to want to get your experience as good as it can be. I love the drop off service.Unfortunately the wash off, a great perk in our dusty environment, is suspended due to drought. The adhesive from the window next visit label was not cleaned away and the new one not applied.
It was a great experience the person who helped me it was very professional and also the time they say my vehicle is going to be ready it was on time . Thanks toyota.
Overpriced service. Felt a little ripped off because the invoice seemed padded considering the amount of work involved.
As a longtime customer, I have noticed a recent deterioration in service quality. Focus seems to have changed to high volume, crank em out approach. At a recent appointment I waited 20 minutes to drop my car off for an oil change. I asked to have tires inflated because dashboard indicator had recently come on, and Mark suggested that I have the tires rotated as well. After a 3-hour wait, I drove away to discover that the low-tire indicator was still on. That made me wonder if they had actually rotated the tires. However, the next day I saw that one of my hubcaps is now missing, so its likely that they just didnt inflate them as requested, and didnt properly attach the hubcaps. It makes me wonder about the overall quality of work.To make matters worse, its become much harder to reach a service rep on the phone. I still have not been able to speak to someone about a refund or replacement hubcaps.
I was negotiating the purchase of a used car. I spoke with a female sales person one week. She was very polite, but unfortunately, we were unable to come to a price within my budget (it was $900 too high). It should be noted that I had cash in hand and was offering to drive down immediately to purchase the car.The following week, I contacted the dealership again to see if they would be willing to make another offer a little closer to my budget. I was hoping they could drop another $400 to meet me in the middle. Unfortunately, the female sales person was not working that day. Instead, I spoke with a male sales person who was very rude. He continuously cut me off to speak over me and tell me that they will have no problem selling the car to someone else or even another car dealership. He refused to talk to his boss again and tried to make me feel guilty for asking him to negotiate with his boss on my behalf. He ended the conversation by telling me they will decline my business. This type of condescending attitude and lack of customer service is why people do not enjoy the car buying experience.
Hunter was great as was the person who checked me out the next day, forgot his name :( Thanks Toyota of Santa Cruz. A pleasant experience all the way around🙏
Toyota of Santa Cruz filled all of my requests and were prepared ahead of time with the parts they needed to do the job. Great customer service!
Great service, friendly staff. Mike kept me updated throughout and I was so surprised the Service Dept is open 7 days a week. My car needed a front strut repaired and I was worried it wouldn’t be done in time for a long road trip. But they made it happen and I’m most appreciative!
My service adviser was very professional, he took great care of my car, and it runs great
I had to have a head gasket replaced, a significant job. Its too soon to evaluate the quality of the work, but the customer experience was excellent. Nathan Chavez was my service advisor, and he was informative, attentive, friendly and responsive. It was also convenient to have a rental counter right there on the premises, since my repair was going to take a week. I would recommend Santa Cruz Toyota without hesitation for a repair like mine.
Toyota service is always amazing. They’re always timely and efficient. The workers are extremely helpful and courteous.
Making an appointment was easy. The Service Writer, Cory, was exceptional. He kept me informed and my vehicle was done as he said it would be. We have always had very good service with Santa Cruz Toyota and have been doing business with them for many years.
Great service. Everyone was friendly and helpful and supportive Had to leave the car overnight and was able to be driven home and picked up in the morningGreat experience
I love the toyota brand is the best!!!! But i dont like the people from office they always lies and hide numbers, if you want to buy a car i recommend to bring someone with you!!! Two heads are better than one. This is in Santa cruz ca
I received excellent service from Aaron Cotton my service advisor even though I didnt end up needing any work done (check engine light due to gas cap being too loose). He was very nice and didnt make me feel silly at all even though I could have figured it out on my own. I was so surprised to see that the service garage is open 7 days a week. That really speaks to the level of customer service you all provide to your clients. I will definitely be back for all of my auto repair needs!
I called to ask to speak with someone to get pricing and they told me they would call back. Two days went by without a call so I called them. The sales person claimed they already called me, but he was reading records from last year when I reached out about buying a car from them. He then refused to give me pricing because he had no information on me even after I offered to give him any information he would need to put together pricing. He talked over me as well when I was trying to explain I cannot come in today and said people dont give payment details out when I have 2 other offers from other dealers who just ran rough payments with the score I gave them. I never leave reviews, but between them being disorganized and the sales guy being so dismissive I thought to recommend people look elsewhere.
Such a great group of employees at Santa Cruz Toyota. Even after 18 months since my purchase they know my name!Im very happy with the service personnel as well as the sales team. Great Job.
The staff from beginning of shopping and test driving to signing the finance agreement were knowledgeable about the vehicle and the different promotions available through Toyota. They were patient with our questions and explaining everything to our satisfaction. Over all it was a good experience. We are happy with the car and the experiance during the purchase .
We had a good experience working with Chris Meyer and Tom OReilly, figuring out options that would work for us. These guys were really good at their jobs as salesman, but also in post-sale follow through. We had some hiccups with our vehicle being traded, and Chris really went above and beyond after the sale was done, to help facilitate everything smoothly, and make sure we were happy customers.
My car is usually maintained at Toyota Dealers and I’ve always had the upmost best experiences. Now as a travel nurse, I get my car serviced at out of state Toyota dealerships. My experience at Piercy Toyota at Milpitas was phenomenal and I thought it would be the same in Santa Cruz. Unfortunately, not at all what I expected. I went in for a routine oil change and asked them to please look at my tires as the dashboard sensor had been on for quite some time. Four hours later, my car was done. I never got an update call or anything during that time, I usually do with the other Toyota dealers. I asked about the tires and was told everything was fine and that all my tires were set to the same pressure. Once I got my car, the tire sensor like was still on. The only difference was, this time it was flashing when I turned on the car and then stayed lit. When I went to inquire about it, I was told it was fine. I asked about the flashing and was told. “That’s a broken sensor, a whole different diagnostic test.” I replied, “It didn’t flash before. Why is it flashing now?” To which I was told, “We didn’t do it, if it’s flashing at any time, it’s a broken sensor and it came like that.” So I asked, “What will it take to repair it?” In which he replied, “$400-500, because diagnostic test was about $95, sensor another $125, plus labor and whatever else needed to be done.” But never was I offered to take another look at it. It wasn’t noticed during service. Which surprised me because good repair places always find something even if it is minimal. If they would’ve really looked into it like I asked, I probably would’ve gotten my car completely fixed. But I will not be returning to this dealer. While I’m still here in this area, I think I will make the drive up north to Piercy Toyota for service. They took care of me last time and even sent me a whole video of the inspection explaining everything from brake pads to tire thread. They were very detailed in their inspection and even though I did end up getting some work done on the car, it only took two hours including an oil change. Here in Santa Cruz, I just got a 4 hour oil change.
Scheduling my service is always easy via online website. Always able to schedule an appointment dor the time frame that fits my schedule and the Courtesy shuttle for drop off and pick up is a breeze and very convenient.
Received a good deal on our new hybrid Avalon and trade in on old car. The staff were all great and made this transition a breeze....no pressuring at all! Definitely recommend Derek and his team.
Always courteous, walked mr thru the process. Called before the estimated time that my care was done.
Love my new car! Thank you Santa Cruz Toyota. Nathan was my sales person and he really helped me understand the leasing process. Simon the manager was also involved which made me feel like they really care about taking care of locals. Really appreciate the care they took with me so I could feel good about the whole process!
Great service department! Mike Norton was friendly and professional. I love that they offer a multi point inspection and car wash with an oil change. I will always go to Santa Cruz Toyota for my oil changes. They also check for recall items to fix and let you know of any pending problems that will need attention. Also love the free shuttle rides so you dont have to wait there for your car to get serviced.
Well scheduled @ 2:30. 3 Long lines of cars waiting to be checked-in. U think they may have over-booked service for that day? Was shuttled home after an hour wait massive traffic all over the county reason given(what else is new)? By 5p.m. No shuttle(3)available to bring me back to dealer so had to leave car over night! Picked-up via shuttle next morning. As driving car home next day same engine light on?!?- Now have to bring back into service for correction & waste this day going back & forth. Hope its fixed 2day & wearing my walking shoes, just in case...,. Shout- out to Conrad & Steve as very nice patient drivers.
Awesome service! Chuck D.s knowledge and patience made me feel confident and comfortable buying a new car. Chuck is personable and you can tell he enjoys what he does, it didnt feel like he was trying to upsell me, he wanted to find a car that fit my needs.Mark in the Service department was direct and honest with great communication. He let me know a particular service wouldnt be recommended on a rainy day and when he saw me again he remembered me! Additionally, the shuttle staff is friendly and timely (shout out to Kim and Omar).Definitely happy to be a part of the Toyota family, where service and kindness is what they are all about.
Great experience. Great service. The only thing that I could complain about was that I didn’t get a car wash. I guess I have to request it but yeah I had an offer it I would’ve definitely said yes. If a customer spending $300 that should definitely come with a car wash.
Great service department. Quick and on time. Shuttle service is a big plus !
First time car buyer here! The process was easy and seemly. I really appreciated Robert who didn’t push any specific car on us but rather asked questions to solve my problems. I came in with an idea of the car I wanted and after talking with Robert and discussing my needs walked out with a different one and I couldn’t be happier about it!Also JP in finance was spectacular. He made the signing of papers easy, seamless and worked with me on my payment methods.Looking for a Toyota? Go here!
All people I interacted with were very helpful and courteous.
Great serviceProfessionalKindGot the job done!
Santa Cruz Toyotas service has gone steadily downhill over the last few years.Yesterday was crowded. Line to the street. Of course no express service anymore. I really hate bringing my vehicles from Boulder Creek anymore
Salesperson was great, test drive was great, but the sales manager was pushy, shady, manipulative, and generally difficult to deal with. Its 2021, buying a car shouldnt be this difficult. Sales manager put random numbers on a piece of paper and I struggled to understand what any of them actually meant. I dont want to deal with the back and forth games. I want a straight forward buying process. I drove 40 miles away to Toyota Sunnyvale where the down payment, interest, and total cost is clear and easy to understand. No games. I dont care if I paid more or less, it was a much better experience.
Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I was seen and assisted almost immediately. By Mr. Rottman, He suggested because it was very busy that I may benefit by using your pick-up and delivery services. Since the wait was estimated to be 3 hours. I gladly took you up on this offer, that’s when I meet a new best friend Amy she is very happy and proud to be a Toyota employee of 2 1/2 years
I came down to Santa Cruz on business for the day. My car had given me a few indications of having problems starting. I was reticent to turn the ignition off for fear of not being able to restart my car. Their service representative, was very amenable to squeezing me even though I was only going to be there for a short time. They did a full diagnostic on my car and was able to determine that I was safe to drive back to San Francisco. This is the kind of service I’ve come to expect from a dealer that knows the meaning of great customer service. Robert C. Thx Toyoto of Santa Cruz. 😊
Santa Cruz Toyota, is by far the best Toyota dealer to go to. Aaron was very helpful and real. No better place to buy your toyota or to go for service. We went to Gilroy Toyota first and had to run! That what brought us to Santa Cruz Toyota glad we did. They have great reviews and are busy. Theres a reason for this!
Very efficient check in for service, even when very busy. Friendly staff and work was finished at estimated time.
Stephen at Toyota was very nice to work with. He was knowledgeable and helpful. I appreciated his patience and the extra time and effort he put into assisting me with such an important decision. Thank you Stephen, Tom and Toyota.
I made an appointment for 2pm on Mondayfor oil change and tire rotation. By the time I got my car it was 5 pm. Unacceptable. One of the serviceGuys told me they had 100 more cars than appointments. Unacceptable. Usually 1-2 hours
I received good, prompt service for my $1 oil change. Thanks Toyota of Santa Cruz!
Had a serious problem with my 5 year old Tacoma pickup which purchased there, that had less than 10,000 miles. Rear transmission failed. I expected to have a big expense.I was surprised because it failed after so few miles. I asked them whether it could have been caused by something I did wrong. They said no, and fixed it under warranty, without me having to ask for that. After 5 years I thought it might not be under warranty. The person I spoke with it were quite helpful. They were quite willing to stand up to be responsible for their warranty. So Im quite happy with their service, after expecting a substantial repair expense.
Wonderful service on July 1, 2021, David at the service desk was very helpful to this out-of-towner. The price was right and the dealership ensured we got home safe to Southern Cal.
I felt like they wanted to repair extra items that did not necessarily need attention. Once my bill was paid the wait to get my car and drive away was very slow.
I had a wonderful experience with the service department this weekend and would highly recommend using Santa Cruz Toyota! Mark Schultz was my phenomenal service consultant and Rachael was very accommodating in the scheduling department!
Aaron took care of me, and he was soooo helpful. He kept me informed. I was impressed that the service department was open on a Sunday. It was so helpful to me as I was in a bit of a pickle.
I was in the area on vacation and my engine had to be replaced. This Toyota and Mark Shultz (the rep) bought a used replacement engine and told me I would have a one year or 12,000 warranty and said everything would be covered in that time. I believed them. At that time I had left a five-star review.Fast forward 6,000 miles and four months and Im getting a check up at my local Toyota dealership and they say the water pump needs to replaced. When I call Mark Shultz at Santa Cruz Toyota he says it shouldnt be a problem since its under warranty but no LKQs warranty doesnt cover water pumps. That should be spelled out is the point instead of B-S ing with high expectations. Now when I call Santa Cruz Toyota and leave a message to return a call I get no return call. Disappointing!
The techs and service manager were very helpful and made me feel comfortable as I waited. Quick and professional service. Cant complain.
The service assistant was very quick and very helpful and had a very nice attitude.
Enjoyed our test drive while waiting for our car to be serviced. No pressure to buy. Nice people in reception, sales and service. Looking forward to working with our neighborhood Toyota dealership.
Friendly reception, we had an easy fix and not was completed very timely.
I always go to Toyota of Santa Cruz for all my service needs and I have never been disappointed. They have some great technicians and supporting staff, I will never hesitate to recommend them to others. Hope and wish their great job will continue.
They way over book, as soon as I drove up the whole process felt very chaotic. I waited for four day before I called to find out the status of my truck, when I finally got through to a service rep. he said, oh its ready, I said thanks for the call.
The employees were so friendly and the car was ready in a short time
I was very well taken care of, especially by the one who did my paperwork (I forget his name).
I brought my car in for routine maintenance. The service was quick and efficient and the team was friendly and professional.
Super fast and easy and good costumer service
Over all good but one issue they forgot to install 1 screw back on plastic cover for oil change
So nice to have a local place to get my service . Just a little difference . You left waiting in your car for anyone to acknowledge you when you arrive for a scheduled appt. When I went inside every desk was full with a service person, not one got up from their desk. One person did yell out “if you go out to your car someone should be with you in a bit “In San Jose my service experience difference is - everyone hustling around and you are never ignored by anyone, even a mechanic walking by “how can we help you?” You are always acknowledged and they seem to work as a team, intake, number in the window and guided where to go next .... (my car is also quickly cleaned upon the return )I was born here and we have always said “keep it local “ but Santa Cruz we need to step it up and stay in the higher tier of strive for excellence! We can’t just depend on the “only Toyota on this side of the hill “ as we did for many years . We have a whole new group of locals now that expect us to be a little bit better .
I really like the customer service. Very helpful with good explanations to my questions. My only complaint is that somebody tried to clean my windows and smudged them up. My windows were perfectly clean when I came in. I clean my windows every week. I left with smudgy streak marks on every window and it was difficult to see out if them when driving. Maybe use a different type of window cleaning solution and cleaner towels. I use Turtle Wax Dash and Glass and for my windows. It works very well.Overall I like my service you provided and will be back for all of my services.
Took my car for the free 5000 mile service. Mark served me at the counter. Very friendly and efficient. Great job by the guys who serviced the car. Very quick and efficient. Thank you Team Toyota Santa Cruz.
Wait was extremely long for express service but understandable considering it was the weekend and there’s an amazing promotion going on right now for oil changes
Great service cordial and professional staff
When we bought our Tundra they were so pushy that it was uncomfortable. We brought it in for the 5,000 mile service with an appointment at 1:30. I didnt get my truck back until after 4pm. When I scheduled the appointment online it had options to click for a rental and a car wash for which I chose both. Apparently the buttons dont sent you up with a rental and they arent doing car washes. Found out they ONLY rotated the tires. This a 20 minute job! I cant believe they made me waste so much of my time. Then I drove to the west side and there was tons of liquid that seemed like water coming out I called and struggled to get anyone on the phone. The mechanic said since it was dripping in two spots it wouldnt be the ac so we had to bring it back and leave it over night. I tried to talk to the guy when I got there about there not being a drain tube on the new Tundras like the the older Tacomas and that it just came straight out of the firewall spilling over the transmission case. I was then mansplained to that you dont drain an AC. Wont buy from here again.
Service was performed on time and followed the requested details. Mike J is a great service advisor.
We purchased an extended warranty and service package when we bought our truck. We knew we were getting towards the end of the service package, so we called ahead to confirm we could still bring our truck in and take advantage of the service package. We called the service department, were told that our service package was still good, and made an appointment to come in. We arrived, waited in line for 30 minutes, only to be told our service package had expired. So now were taking it to our regular mechanic.
Had a great experience at this location. They had a sign saying it may take longer to do things because of Covid19 . I had to get 2 new keys programmed for my vehicle and was told it may take a couple hours before they could get to it. However I was in and out in just about 1. Good going guys and thank you.
Simple tune up went well. Took longer than I expected but was disappointed that I had to return to have them reset the tune-up indicator on the dash.....that is part of the tune-up
Our service experience was 10 stars! Isidro has the best service he’s kind soft-spoken really understands the needs of the customer he’s very personable as well..It’s why we keep returning to get our vehicle serviced at Toyota of Santa Cruz
They get the job done quick and efficiently!
Ive heard people complain about Toyota Santa Cruz Service Center, but wow that place is a joke. I own a 2016 Tundra that is Toyota Certified Preowned. I had a parking sensor on my front bumper that was defective, the truck dash even tells you which one is the issue, but I already figured it out before the truck computer noticed. I asked Toyota’s Service Center if the sensor was under the limited bumper to bumper 1 year warranty, and they refused to check before running a diagnostic themselves. Of course, the sensor was not covered and I honestly believe they knew that. They also knew if it wasn’t covered, I wouldn’t have them fix it, and therefore they wouldn’t make any money... They initially were going to charge me $175 for the diagnostic until they dropped the cost in half, but again I would never have gotten the diagnostic if I knew the sensor wasn’t covered. For reference, their prices were outrageous. To fix a single sensor was going to be $375. They cost $20 online and anyone with a wrench can replace it themselves. I wouldn’t recommend anyone going to Toyota Santa Cruz Service Center.
