All you could ever need for a good time outdoors.Alison was super friendly and made our time easy at the store. We were looking for a sleeping pad and the one we wanted was the one on display. It didnt have a bag, so Alison make shifted straps for us.Lots of merino wool choices for socks.Stocked with tons of clothing and fishing gear. Ive never seen so many fishing poles before.The staff all go camping and can recommend spots to check out and gear to use.

Nice local sporting goods store with a good selection of fishing gear at competitive prices, they also carry firearms and ammo, camping supplies and work wear.

I went in for a fishing license and some hard to find tupe mantles for my high output Coleman lantern.

Bad customer services and adam or anthay what ever his name was the maniger was rude they even put up falls price on a fishing pole I bought and acoused us for trying to I cant remember the word for but when it was them doing that to us and Andrew told if we have a problem with what ever he said then we should shop elsewhere and mom said fine we will and he said good while give a thumbs up and walked away with out apologizeing to us so dont shop there there services is bad 😡😠

Amazing customer service! I was helped by a young man named Juan. Who helped my son and I get everything he needed to catch fish at a beach. He told us exactly what to look out for and even taught my son a strong knot!

Ive been shopping at Outdoor World for many years for a variety of different things. I am a Backpacker and I get a lot of my yearly packing needs filled there. They can be pricey but if you hit the sales you can get some great deals also. Its just a great place to go because they have a great variety of different items that you just cant find anywhere else. the quality of the goods there is higher than say Big 5 Sporting Goods and also the sales people know what theyre talking about to a much greater degree.

Helpful staff and decent selection of out door gear of all types. They also have great sales prices. They can be a bit pricey on some items. Best spot in Santa Cruz still.

I originally posted 1 star a while back. I recently went back in since theyve moved to the Capitola Mall and I was impressed. I was met by very nice people when I entered the store, very helpful and courteous and sent me to the new hunting section. I met a very knowledgeable guy in the gun department, Noah. He was extremely helpful and I got what I needed done in a matter of minutes. New store, new attitudes and a great experience. Thanks, Bud

Comprehensive selection for fishing supplies, kayaking, disc golf, hunting, mostly clothes. The prices are high but the items are quality name brands. Very large sales floor; unless youre just browsing ask directions.

I really enjoyed my visit to the store. I was helped out by a young man named Noah, firearms manager, and he was extremely helpful. The handgun selection at this store is quite surprising. I mean cmon they even have a .44 Mag. Dirty Harry Hand cannon. Huge selection of outdoor clothing. I could gonon and in, but chances are I will forget something. So do yourself a favor and just go peep it out in your own.

This is my go to store for BB guns, bows and arrows and misc. camping supplies. They seem to also sell a good selection of shoes and clothing but I have never checked it out.I have also used them to refill a paintball cylinder.The staff is helpful and friendly and parking is easy.

Staff is friendly, and they are very knowledgeable. They don’t have too large of a selection of guns, but it’s about the best you can get in Capitola area. They also have a lot of sales on other items like clothing or camping supplies.

I just went shoe shopping and experienced the worst service in years. Most of the staff were huddled around the checkout area visiting. Each time I needed assistance I had to run down an employee. The store was not busy. It appeared to be a social gathering on company time. That is the saddest representation Outdoor World can have. Staff management at its poorest.

Great spot for a little bit of everything outdoors. Lots of tackle for fishing. Even got my first kayak here. When shopping online for kayaks, Outdoor World didnt come up in the search and everywhere else was sold out. LUCKED OUT!

Hello. The 90s would like their outdoor store back. They seem to be specializing in too many activities (sports, camping, gym wear, etc.). Poor selection on everything. Prices were no better than any online realitor.

Good store with a decent selection of quality goods for fishing hunting and camping. You may find other adventure related items in here too.
