If you have a family or are looking for a reliable vehicle, DO NOT shop here. This review is solely based on my experience assisting and interacting with the dealership. The experience of a close friend directly impacted me. I have first hand attempted to help, witnessed, and listened to the conversations; it has been an awful experience.  Purchased a brand new vehicle from this dealership and experienced nothing but problems. The dealership has repeatedly stated that the engine is under recall, but they can’t help until the engine blows up. This has been ongoing for years. Additionally, the vehicle can’t be sold or traded because of how much the vehicle has depreciated in value. Trust me, find another dealer, the family image that they depict in their advertisements is false.

To the sweet couple who just bought the used white Chevy Tahoe on 8/21/2021, I hope this reaches you... My husband and I (he is an ASE Certified Master Tech for Chevy, ranked in the top 10% in the nation) test drove this vehicle and he evaluated it to the best of his ability in the parking lot and on the drive. We made Michael Robinson and Jeremy Mouser aware of the following: the transmission fluid was dark brown (its supposed to be pinkish red) and there is a slight shudder in the transmission that is only going to worsen and become very problematic. We spoke to them about this, they denied but offered a 2 year warranty at a reduced cost. This dealership, at the VERY least owes you fluid services AND a warranty on a transmission in a vehicle they sold you without fixing the issue. You certainly do not have to take our word for it but PLEASE have Chevy evaluate this vehicle soon.Mr. Michael Robinson did not return our calls, pretended not to get my voice mail, and knew he was in the middle of a sale as we were driving in to speak to him about this vehicle (from fairly far away). We were not set on purchasing due to its issues but our time was wasted, communication was very poor, and the lack of respect was very unprofessional. I know he just wanted to make a sale and not deal with the couple identifying transmission issues but now there is a couple out there that just got screwed over today and it breaks my heart. I hope your dealership makes it right and changes its ways in the future.

My other review keeps getting deleted, not sure why? Purchased a brand new Kia Sorento and paid cash in full. Car started burning oil, dealership requested consumption tests. I completed all of the tests, and was told that my engine was under recall and that Kia would replace it, but, the engine needed to blow up first. I have had multiple incidents since then, and concerns with the engine. Every time I call, I’m told it has to blow up first. I have two kids and I don’t feel safe driving at night with an unreliable car. Especially in our area where we have limited cell service. The constant fear of breaking down on the side of the Highway, no service, alone with kids, makes buying a “reliable” new car pointless. This car was purchased so I had something reliable, and this dealership couldn’t even give me that. Please don’t delete my review until my problem is resolved.Update: I called as they requested below, left a message and have not received a response yet. 8/11Update: GM returned my call and stated he would be reaching out to Kia corporate. I purchased a 2015 Kia with 33K miles on it years back and after doing so came to find out thru my mechanic a bunch of recalls were out on it that hadnt been addressed. I dont want to point fingers due to me moving when my sister passed and my Mom got sick so maybe the mail got lost in route when trying to find me. Anyway, the service department at Auffenberg,(Anthony),also the ladies in the front have all been helpful and kind when doing so.From contacting Main Kia to having to put up with me. I know it has to be much to handle people with car problems. Im on budget for a new car in 2024 and I will purchase another Kia as the one Im in now drove wonderfully for years with no more than basic engine maintenance, oil change,filters, a set of tires and wiper blades. I only wish the recalls would have gotten to me in the beginning so my car wouldnt have gone south but then Id never have been reminded there are still good dealerships that do the right thing when so many others arent. Thanks Auffenberg. I will drive 1&1/2 hours to buy a car from you when the time comes.

Bought two Kias from Auffenberg and both ended up with blown up engines due to recalls. Our experience with this location has been nothing but problematic from the beginning, including being lied to about warranties. Be prepared to work with corporate for solutions and get/keep all details in writing. Ended up buying a Dodge last month due to our frustrations with Kia/Auffenberg after being repeat customers for years, and couldnt be happier with the new dealership/vehicle.

Helped a lady from Martin Tn back in June of this year. It was a recall issue the lady told me KIA was paying tow. Well here it is August have made 3 or 4 calls to the service dept with no help but to call a 3rd party dispatch company to get pd. I have been around dealerships for 40 yrs. They can pay bill then get it from KIA they refuse they got pd from KIA for the warranty work they did so to hell with anyone else . Sorry sorry sorry t

Absolutely AWFUL!! HANDS DOWN WORST PLACE TO BUY A VEHICLE, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! Bought 2 vehicles for my daughters from here. Hardly used. As soon as we get home the vehicles started having transmission and battery issues. They refused to replace anything at all, even after shoving out $15,000 for vehicles. Also DO NOT GO THROUGH THEIR AUTO LOAN AT THE DEALERSHIP. I have great credit and am being charged 27% interest on my payments. NEVER AND I REPEAT NEVER SHOP HERE. MY LOSS IS YOUR GAIN!!!!!!!

Warning!!!! If you purchased Gap insurance through this dealer please be advised to get your money back if your vehicle is paid off and you never filed a claim. The manager at the dealership told me if a customer forget about their purchase of the Gap Insurance the dealership keeps the money. Yes you read that right. Make sure you get your money!

Worst buying experience Ive ever had! Took 3 months to get the title for the used car I bought. Brake caliper locked up within a month of buying the car and the shop was not only rude but wanted $110 just to see what the issue was ($20 at Raben tire). Asked to speak to a manager 3 times and have yet to hear anything back. Will never shop there again.

Hands down an awful experience. They will promise you a car and then sell it on the day youre supposed to look at it. Upon waiting 20 minutes to find this out, Coye Moore didnt even bother to try to sell me a different vehicle. She mumbled something along the lines that it didnt show up in the system as sold until the paperwork went through but that the papers had been done and it was sold. Even if she really didnt know, I wouldnt trust a dealership that cant keep track of the cars theyre selling. Even now its still listed as available on their website.

Couple of months ago we took our 20 Forte GT for oil change and tire rotation. They over torque the lug nut 150-186 lb-ft according to my digital torque gauge; manufacture suggests 107.9 - 127.5 N·m (11.0 - 13.0 kgf·m, 79.6 - 94.0 lb·ft) . Over torque lug nut can cause premature rotor warp and wheel crack or even stud breakage.They need to re-evaluate their procedures. I havent taken our car back and probably will never.

I had a truly excellent experience at Auffenberg Kia Cape Girardeau. I was impressed by the efficiency and courtesy of every person I met there, starting with Jeremy Mouser, general manager, Joshua Pace, my sales representative, and Harry Muller III, business manager, as well as the rest of the staff. I love the fact that the staff has so much confidence in the company, the brand, and the product that they can allow the consumer to make a decision without hard selling. I was particularly impressed with sales rep Joshua Pace--he asked questions to see what I required in a vehicle, and then he made well-informed suggestions to me based on my answers. He was patient throughout the process, allowing me time and space to come to a decision. He was also extremely knowledgeable about every vehicle I looked at and several I didnt. Im really happy he suggested I reconsider the Kia Soul--its ultimately what I purchased. I feel that Auffenberg Kia really values their customers and strives for a high level of customer satisfaction. I would highly recommend Auffenberg Kia Cape to anyone.

I drove over 7 hours to purchase a vehicle from Auffenberg after having a poor experience with my local dealership. Nearly everything was done via email and text. No high pressure tactics - I made a reasonable offer on a new vehicle and had reasonable expectations of the value of my trade in. After arriving, I spent less than 60 minutes at the dealership - exactly what I wanted. Clear expectations from both parties, executed quickly and professionally - not many dealerships like this.

My husband and I had the best experience in buying a vehicle with Kia. I had been looking at a Telluride since March. We drove up one day just to take a look at one. Josh Pace, our salesman, was the exact example of how a salesman should be. He spent hours with us showing the features, going over safety statistics, and making sure we got the best deal we could. Went to look at a used vehicle that they have had for at least a month that i know of. Stood in the lobby waiting on a representative to come talk to me which took 30 minutes, and there was only 2 other customers there.Once a representative came and talked to me he spent 20 minutes trying to find the keys, then told me to just go find the vehicle and take it for a drive. Without putting dealer plates on the vehicle. Once i did finally find the vehicle it was disgusting on the inside and almost didnt start.This is the second vehicle i have looked at here, the first one the engine tried blowing up as soon as it turned on.I dont recommend buying a used vehicle here. Assuming you can get a representative to help you at all

I have bought many new cars from Auffenberg Kia of Cape Girardeau. They have all ways treated me great. Coye Moore all ways greats me when I walk into the dealership and asks how the family is and if I need any help. Jeremy Mauser the sales manager all ways takes time to make sure Im still happy with my purchase. Ashley the service manager all ways gets me in for my services as fast as she can and back down the road since my time is very precious and limited. Lots to choose from, however, we were on the lot for over 45 minutes, looking at different vehicles..(we love our Kias, but have had our van for over 10 years and it’s time to get a new vehicle) Not one team member came to check on us. Called 3 times to try and get a servicing appointment. Had my name and number taken down to not receive a call back. This call I was told they are very busy since another Kia has shut down, and that they had 3 people on hold so they wouldn’t get to me. I expressed being upset about not receiving a call back the last time and was not eager to just leave my name and number yet again. Some sort of apology or even just a guarantee that someone would reach back out would have satisfied me. Instead, I just received excuses and a sort of “oh well” reaction. I will be taking my money somewhere more excited to take it.

About a month ago I bought a preowned 2016 Kia Optima from Cape KIa for my daughter who is headed to college several hundred miles away. As a dad, I wanted value for my money and a reliable vehicle for my daughter. My daughter was more into creature comforts and style. With the vehicle we found at Cape Kia, we got it all. There was no pressure from the staff and everything was clearly explained. While there were several folks we dealt with, I want to signal out Coye Moore as being one of the nicest, friendliest salespersons I have every met! I felt she treated us like family every time we had an interaction. The price was fair. I cant say enough good things about this experience. It was worth the drive from Southern Illinois. Dustin in the service department was a great help. We had had some work done on our 2013 Optima. I called back for questions he was a tremendous help. I called Auffenberg Kia because we knew we wanted a 2019 Kia Sorento LX without the convenience package. Living in Memphis, all the 2019 Sorentos in Memphis included the convenience package which added $2000 (plus sales tax) to the car and we found unnecessary. The offer we got in Memphis was for $22,700 with trade in.We called Auffenberg after some research because they had the cars/features I wanted on their website and we were going to drive through Cape Girardeau in a few weeks. I articulated to them why I didnt want to pay $22,700 and stated that without the convenience package plus the savings in sales tax I was hoping to pay $21,000 out the door. The savings would have been about $2,200 so I figured the dealer would keep about $500 from this. They said they did not have any in stock (website advertising was wrong), however, they did go out of their way to acquire what I was looking for and had it ready to go for the price we said when we drove through town ($21,000 out the door). Everything went smoothly at pickup. I was happy enough that I ever gave a gift card to the salesperson to buy dinner as it was the holidays.That was my mistake, I should have paid closer attention. When I went to register my car the following week, I had to pay sales tax. I have in writing from them we are at $21,000 out the door. All reputable websites I have found (Edumunds, Autotrader, etc) say out the door price includes sales tax. Additionally, when the sales manager articulated the need to get the car registered, paying sales tax never came up. This added $1,970 to the car.To try and rectify my concerns for this I asked them the let me talk to the GM or the Sales Manager several times as I felt they were intentionally misleading. Several weeks have passed and I havent gotten a call from anyone to discuss these concerns.Overall, I found that Auffenberg Kia were friendly and got the car I wanted, but the omission of sales tax and using out the door and all in pricing not including sales tax was intentionally misleading looking back. The failure to communicate on this point after several weeks of inquiries to the salesperson is a sign that they do not care. I would not recommend Auffenberg Kia.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!When we bought car everyone was helpful and friendly. The clutch just recently went out and they said the throw out barring and pressure plate were covered not the actual clutch when they told my ex when they towed it would be covered. They got me a rental car and did the work in a timely manner but told me my portion of the bill was $504.09 wait if Im only responsible for the clutch plate then why am I being charged this much. Part from Kia which includes the clutch plate, throw out bearing, and pressure plate is $165.00. They charged me all of the labor. Called corporate every other day for over a week to see where we were at. Auffendburg called my ex a few min ago and told them we were now responsible for $1, 049.39. What?????? This place is awful looks good at first but remember you get what you pay for and their so called bumper to bumper warranty is a fraud. Maybe covered under warranty but they expect you to pay their labor! Guess that is what I get for buying a cheaper car but not so reliable!

So you would like to know how my experience was with your dealership. This has been the WORST and most stressful experience ever. I was lied to multiple time by multiple people and in the end screwed out of $1,460.00. So lets start from the beginning...First off I was sold a 2014 Kia Soul when I thought that I was getting a 2015 Kia Soul. But thats ok I let that slide since new is new. However, now is when the real lies start. When I came in I told my sales person (Joshua Pace) that the only way I would buy a car was if my monthly payment stayed the same, if they paid off my car, and if they paid my sales tax. Once Joshua ran some numbers I was told and I quote Your car is worth $7,550.00, and you owe $10,200.00, on it. But what we are going to do is pay your car off. He never said how it was going to be paid off. It was not until a few days later I looked at the paperwork and noticed that my car had not truly been paid off. They had given me $7,550.00 for my car plus a $1,250.00 rebate and then stuck me with the remaining $1,460.00 that was owed on my trade in. If I would have been told this the day I bought the car I would have said NO DEAL.Armed with this new information and highly upset as well, I returned to the dealership and spoke with Jeremy Mouser. He tried to tell me that it was paid off and offered to show me the check they had mailed to Kia. I understand how sales works and its a numbers game, but the bottom line is I was not told that I would have to pay the difference in what my car was worth and what I owed on the car since I was told we will pay your car off. After I said that I wanted to return the new car and get my old one back, he said let me see what I can do. Then he told me that since the car I traded in had gap coverage and a extended warranty that I would be getting some money back from that. This was the first time I had heard of this, and I can only assume that I was not going to be told about it if I had not got upset and tried to return the car. Jeremy ran some figures and estimated that I would be getting about $1,000.00 back from the dealership where I purchased my trade in from originally. He told me to contact the dealership where I had purchased the car and see what info they needed so I could get that money back. I did and called your dealership back and told them to fax a mileage statement to the dealership where I purchased my trade in from. I was told they would handle this. The next day I followed up to see if the original dealership had got the fax. They had not. So I called your dealership back and asked them to send it again. This back and forth went on for about 2 days until I finally got fed up and asked the title clerk if she could help me. She said that if I faxed a copy of my paperwork that would work fine. So again your staff of Jeremy Mouser, Joshua Pace, and Matt the floor manager were all too stupid to think of this or just wanted to screw with me some more.In ending I will never purchase another car from your family of dealerships as long as I live. Until I receive my $1460.00 that is owed to me I will continue to file complaints with Kia Corporate, the Better Business Bureau and local media outlets.

We took our optima here to have an oil line to our turbo fixed due to a recall, they changed the oil and fixed the line. Great. Now its a few months away and part of the turbo is leaking again and the oil plug cant be taken out of the oil pan. We have to pump our oil out from now on and they wont fix it because we didnt bring it immediatly back. We live over 2 hours away. Im not going to drive 2 hours for an oil change. So i guess since we changed our own oil and have to pump it out, i guess they think that we are the ones who stripped the plug. and as for the oil line to the turbo, they would have had to have taken that part off to even fix the one that was recalled, so how is that our fault its dripping? It probably just needs tightened but nope, that will cost ya $110to figure that out. Now The lady with the service shop was nice but dont talk to the young mechanic. BEYOND rude and could care less about whats wrong with the car. He didnt even know you can pump oil out. They didnt even have us down for the right appointment. The main reason we were coming in was for the oil line and they only had us down for an oil change. They couldnt price anything till there was a diagnostics done to tell them what was leaking, but they told us what it was. What else do they need to know? They just want to charge $110 for them to look up a part price. I worked with a Mr Payne who used to work here in sales and even he says that he wouldnt buy a vehicle here and that the customer service sucks. We will go to another kia dealership from now on.

Service is way too slow. I called to make an appointment Wednesday last week. Was told that the earliest they could get it in would be 6 days later on Tuesday. I dropped the car off early, hoping they may have time to work on it beforehand, they didn’t but that cant be held against them.On Tuesday, they call the person I bought the car from, even though i gave my number and explained that my step dad no longer owns the car. Luckily it way step dad and not some random person because he was at least able to tell them to go ahead with the exact repairs i had initially set up the appointment for.I have called daily asking for updates. The initial estimate i was given was 3 days. I call on the morning of the 3rd day. Im told its still not ready but should later in the day. I explain since I work and am without a vehicle if it isn’t ready by a specific time, I won’t be able to pick it up.“Oh well we can deliver it to you if you’re at work when it’s finished as long as its here in cape”. Give my number again because im not certain they’ll call me or my step dad and Cargo to work for 6th day in a row hoping i’ll get a call.On break at 4:00 i call and get told the guy working on my car let early for the day so they weren’t able to get it done on time. Since they’re only kinda “open” Saturdays, that pushes me back to Monday, at least 3 days past estimate to fix my car.If I ever have servicing that needs to be done with a kia dealership i’ll go to St. Louis before I give Auffenberg more business

To begin with I purchased my new KIA Sedona at Auffenberg KIA. I love my KIA! Coye was my salesperson and she put a lot of effort into showing me all the safety features as well as the features that I had never experienced before, like the back up camera, hands free phone, removable console, etc. AND then helped me to get the best price on my NEW KIA Sedona! I always take my KIA back to Cape Girardeau’s Auffenberg KIA for service. I feel that the service department really tries to keep my KIA in excellent running condition.On our anniversary vacation to the East coast, we did have trouble with the windshield wipers. A quick call to Coye and she solved the problem! It was an operator error! So, my advice is to read the owner’s manual but also know you can get guidance by phone from Auffenberg KIA!Definitely check out the inventory at Auffenberg KIA! They will help you get just what you are looking for!

All I needed was the parts dept. I walked into the service area and proceeded to ask about the parts dept. The rude man without saying a word stopped me midsentence a pointed to another service associate (who was with a customer). The other was nice and pointed me to the parts dept. I get to parts and they took 10 minutes for me to get i needed. Only because a fellow walked in from break and the guy who ignored me for 10 minutes told him to help me. Service and parts dept customer service sucks!

This is the first time in my life that I have bought a New car. Terry came outside when we started looking. We told him that we were just looking and he was ok with that. He answered any and all questions that we had and at no time did he try to push us me into buying a car. When I finally made the decision to buy the Kia Forte, the entire staff was great to work with. They went out of their way to get me the best deal that they could find, including a great price for the car that I was trading in. I highly recommend Auffenburg Kia in Cape to anyone that is looking for a new or even used car. You will not be pressured into a sale with them...

First of all, I was not seriously looking to purchase another vehicle since I recently purchased a 2007 Lexus RX 350 fully loaded in Florida on vacation, but my good friend and neighbor asked to do him a favor since they had just purchased a new vehicle from you, supposedly, if I came in and test drove a vehicle, he would get a $50 referral fee, which I wanted to help him because as I stated, he is a very good friend and neighbor, anyway, my wife and I did go in and found a 2016 Kia Sorento that we did take a test drive in, we liked the vehicle a lot, and told the salesman Joshua Pace that we were very interested in the Kia Sorento, but that we got a very good deal on our Lexus and that the numbers would have to work. He took our information, and they even took pics of our vehicle, ALL I asked from Joshua was that he contact me, EITHER way, whether they were able to get me a good deal, or if the bank would finance or not. I NEVER heard from him or ANYONE from Auffenberg again. One more thing, when we went inside the dealership to fill out paperwork, it was late in the evening so there were no other customers, but several of their dealers were just standing around, but when we walked in, none of them said a single thing to us, nor did they even act as if we were there. Anytime when I would go into a dealership in St. Louis or the bigger cities, EVERYONE greets you, whether their waiting on you or not. I will NEVER go to Chris Auffenberg. When I DO purchase another vehicle, it will not be from here.
