No communication, poor planning. I always had to call for an update to move the project. Over extended. I waited 3 months on a warranty ticket. When they showed up for the haul out and repair, they were late and told me that they would have to come back in a week because they cannot work a half day. I communicated I was unhappy with that result but took the meeting. An hour later they called back and said they just were not going to work on it at all. Lizzie and Drew were ineffective and wasted my time. You may not have a choice but to use this place like I did. If you can try another service and dave yourself some headaches.

I work in the marine industry and I deal with many different vendors and professional services such as Calusa. However, they all pale in comparison to the professionalism, communication and pricing of Calusa Certified Marine! Paul could not have been more helpful in his dealing with me and the issues that were going on with my boat. We recently purchased a boat with pods, and before doing so, I called Calusa as they are known to have expertise in this field. Lizzy explained the service needs and costs that I should anticipate versus my current straight shaft boat. She didnt talk me out of the purchase but she was very upfront about what I should expect service and cost wise. After making the purchase Calusa responded immediately. We tried to make the 2014 as close to new again as possible and DJ was on the boat for several days, pulling the pods and servicing the Cummins engines. I found Calusa to be very good to work with and consider this to be the first round of what I anticipate to be multi-year relationship. Were off to a good start. Paul and the team at Calusa Marine provided great service with my re-power. As a local boater it is important to have a “go-to” mechanic. Calusa’s workmanship was top notch and their communication was fantastic amidst the pandemic where parts and motors are in high demand and short supply. In the past I used Bob and Annie’s, but I have definitely found a new home at Calusa. I highly recommend them!

I have been boating in several parts of Florida and Georgia where I have lived almost my whole life. Boating services have always been an issue for me. Poor quality, thoroughness, timeliness and honesty. A few years ago I ran into two Calusa techs that were fixing an engine issue on a boat in a slip next to mine at a marina in Ft. Myers we were visiting. I asked the captain how their services were and he said they were incredible. Last summer I was planning a long two week trip from my home in Longboat Key, Florida to the Bahamas in my Sundancer 510. I called Calusa to see if they would be able to come all the way up to LBK from Cape Coral to service and prepare my boat for this trip. They offered recommendations for spare parts, filters and fluids for this trip. They came with everything. Their professionalism was incredible. Their thoroughness was off the charts. The communication and timeliness with the team at Calusa was the best experience I have ever had. Over the 2019 Memorial day holiday the impeller in my Yanmar diesel burned out and I could not find a spare; I needed one so we could get back to Tampa from Fort Myers. I called Calusa, Tyler answered the phone and was able to identify the part I needed over the phone with the help of a photo text and although they were closing in 30 minutes he took my credit card info and set the parts outside in a safe place so I could pick them up which I did about an hour later. Thanks Tyler, we got home with no problems thanks to your help!

Being from the West Coast and not knowing any certified Cummings Mechanics to work on my 35 Cabo, I called around and found Calusa after speaking with Lizzy I know after about the first 3 minutes I could tell this was the one shop I believed I could trust and trust I did they did an absolute fantastic Job ! Bruce the mechanic they sent out was better then any other Cumming mechanic I have worked with he even found an item in the belt tension that the engine surveyor missed that he was 100 % correct and replaced both I would highly recommend them for any and all engine work on any boat that i would ever own ! they have my 100% vote !

The worst experence I have ever had with a boat repair. Does not answer phone, never calls back, does not show up when scheduled, over priced etc. Do your self a favor run from these people.

I am a charter captain in the Cape Coral area. I have a 2004 bay boat. I have done many upgrades to it. The last thing needed to finish was the wiring. I took it to them. I went and picked it up yesterday. You couldnt have wiped the smile from my face. They went above and beyond. I will say this. Dont have something like this done and want your boat back in a couple days. Let them do their thing. The end result will be well worth it. I want to say thank you, to the team at Calusa. I am one happy customer.

Was broke down on a trip to the west coast of Fl. Calusa responded timely and as they scheduled. Techs were very qualified. Did the job and did not leave a mess.

So Caloosa Certified touts themselves as diesel experts but they fell flat with a Yanmar issue on my boat. Their system requires one to front them a credit card to pay for their estimate for repairs. In my case $409.00 bought me a brief visit from a technician and a report from Caloosa that basically says They dont know the cause of the issue. I have called several times finally reaching the manager, Craig Busold. He has yet to call me back with a resolution/diagnosis. Buyer beware.

Took my 33 ft avanti in issues with starboard engine . Quick diagnose and repair. Will continue to bring boat here for service.

Great service, reasonable pricing! They were able to diagnose and repair an ignition problem on my boat that the dealerships service department couldnt after repeats tries.
