Horrible!! Nick is a theif. Nick will not stand behind his work. Warranty means nothing. He put an engine in one of 9 of my vehicles. Claims to be qualified... but far from it. He has no clue. And when it gets difficult- he runs. Avoid this business. Unless you want unprofessional bad service. And be taken.!!I am a 30+yr Cape Coral resident and hurricane shutter business owner with 12 employees and do over 2million a yr in business. I know what I am talking about. Avoid this place!.......nice response. Except you forgot it was never right after you touched it!!! And you never cared to make it right!!!

Ive been going to Checkered Flag for over 10 years. He was recommended to me when a dealership was trying to rip me off for$900 for an electrical harness. I towed it to Nick and paid$70 as it turned out to be a corrosion issue. Ive been going to him every since. Im still driving the same vehicle as he has kept me on the road. From rebuilding my hydraulics on my convertible top to just about everything else. Ive since moved to Naples but still make the drive because I just dont trust anyone else. Thanks Nick for repeatedly being my Hero!

The worst so called mechanic ever CON MAN!!!

This shop did my LS Swap in my 93 Jimmy. They did such a great job. They worked with me on payment. I cant say enough good things about this place. if you want your car fixed right I wouldnt take it anywhere else.

This mechanic is the most honest,dependable, i have ever been too. They fixed my front end no problem for half the price of all other quotes. I will never take my car any where else. My family is lee county natives and we use checkered flag auto...

For the most part their somewhat friendly and lets you hang around while they work on your car. The only thing I don’t like is they have no set price on the work they do. Good work tho. They deserve more business.

Stay away from Checked Flag in Cape Coral Florida NICK, the owner doesnt guarantee his work nor did he put his work into my car (Master cylinder), but charged me $300 for something he didnt do. Got a new one from Sam Galloway Dealership Service. Great Job there. Im disputing and Fraud charges. So a heads-up stay away checkered flag and Cape Coral Island Road. I thank God everyday for Sam Galloway service Department because Ive been going there since the year 2000 for big things but I use Nick over the last 4 years for small stuff which he was good at except for a fuel line he did under the vehicle with a fuel line he replaced it but I dont know if he replace it because the next day there was gas all over my driveway and then I had it towed to Sam Galloway they redid that as well that was about I dont know 6 years ago. But this is the first time I see Nicks character when I left the car there waited two days. when Luke called and said the car was done only to find out it wasnt. I paid them unknowing they didnt touch my car. So they willingly swiped my card knowing their fraud...and when I told him I was coming on Monday cuz it was already after 5 on Friday. So I called on Monday at noon to let him know I was coming between 12:30 or 1:30 but he was a coward and left before I got there and then rude rude rude Luke his son very rude (you should not be in the public business if you cant handle the pressure). He acts as if hes so important when all he is is fat and ugly and not important at all. So he said because I was late his father couldnt wait.. really? Very upsetting knowing that this is the third trip and his father knew on Friday that Id be there on Monday so he shouldnt have made any plans to leave until I got there. What a bunch of hypocrites. Anyway thank God for Sam Galloway it was much cheaper if you need a master cylinder Sam Galloway was $89 plus $100 in labor so it was $189.00. and they also notice that I need a new alternator which was $300. But Nick overcharging by $200 and I find that amazing since Ive been going there for almost 5 years never again.

Well worth the drive. I went to Quality Care in Fort Myers and spent over thousand dollars and they replaced my rack and pinion but it was defective and it leaked. I went back to them and they said must be a transmission leak then they sent me to a transmission company and they said no it wasnt it was probably a power steering leak went back to quality care and they didnt have time to fix it. Was referred to Checkered and I drove up and they immediately put me up on a lift and within two minutes diagnosed it as a defective rack and pinion and put a solution that might solve the problem on its own and didnt charge me a penny. So Im going back to Qualitiy Care to see if its under warranty. If not Im going back to checkered and will always go there for all my auto repairs

Honest mechanic, fair price, excellent work. I will never go anywhere else for car repairs. I was there a few months ago and finally got around to posting my review. My 2008 Nissan Ultima was leaking a massive amount of oil- a common problem with those cars. I fully expected the cost of the repair to be over $1000. It only took a few days to fix the problem and I paid almost half the amount I was expecting. Honest mechanic is practically an oxymoron- but not at Checkered Flag. Will be a customer for life.

I would not suggest anyone go there. All I needed was a belt put on and my particular car, you need to remove the tire to replace belt; well as they where taking my tire off they broke 2 studs that hold the tire on and refused to replace parts or pick it. On top of that; i opened hood a few days later to check my oil and found a heavy duty Dewalt flash light stuck near the belt spinning right next to the belt. Could have blown my engine had I not checked it. I repeat, do not take any vehicle to this shop.

Went on Tuesday of last week and had a diagnostics performed. I also wanted to get a compression test and was informed that I would have to schedule for one. No problem. Scheduled for that Friday at noon. I arrived 10 minutes early and was told Id have to wait an hour and that the young man in a beeny had LOST my number and thus couldnt call me to let me know of the change in schedule. I complained and was told it would be only 20 minutes more. Well ... 45 minutes later, no movement on my issue. Beeny-guy comes in several times in between and doesnt even acknowledge my presence (looks in my general direction but no words). So ... I walked past him (he still says nothing) as I went to my car and left. I went to AutoZone, paid $45 for a Compression Test Kit, referred to YouTube for my make and model, and did my compression test myself. The sheer lack of professionalism will ensure I never go back to this establishment. Good luck to anyone who does.

Took my truck here because it wouldnt crank over. Another mechanic said the engine was toast but I wanted a second opinion. Had it towed over and in 2 hours he had me out and on the road again. Turns out the spark plug blew out and was causing it. Saved me a ton of money and will never bring any of my vehicals anywhere else.
