This is the best place I am 10 years old and I have been coming to this place since I was 3 years old. Another thing is they are so polite. I would recommend celly.
Wonderful customer service! Knowledgeable, friendly, and extremely helpful in finding the best frames and lens for you and your budget! The General Manager is excellent, optician, from start to finish she was attentive, caring and of course extremely well versed in products and how to properly fit the frames and lens. Highly recommend this location of MyEyeDR. and the staff, especially the GM, Rachel!
Worst experience of my life. Nurse was very rude. Doctor didn’t tell me what she was doing, why she was doing it, or ask permission to do anything. I did not want my eyes dilated but she said was going to put some drops in my eyes (I assumed for contact fitting, like normal lubricating drops because I said I don’t want my eyes dilated) But she went against my will and dilated my eyes. Had to call my husband to come get me. When trying on contacts, I kept saying that I still can’t see and she looked at them and said they were fine. She tried to give me another contact, but it was out of date. She had to search for awhile to find contacts that were in date. Finally found one, let me put it in and said it wasn’t the right prescription but was “close enough” and tried to send me out the door. I wish I could give a zero star review. Absolutely horrified from this experience.
My son was taken to the ER to get metal out of his eye. Eye doctors were closed because of Labor Day. So we were told to make an appointment ASAP so an eye doctor can make sure they got it all. My husband made an appointment for the sixes location and when my son got there they said no your appointment is at the river stone location so he headed to that location only to be told sorry you missed the 10 minute window. They would not see him.” They could make an appointment later that week”Are you kidding me. My child has something in his eye and you won’t see him. We made an appointment with Marietta eye clinic and they saw him right away. There was still metal in his eye and they are treating him fit infection. Please don’t bother with a company that doesn’t care about the patient. It’s your eyes for goodness sake. Doctors run hours behind schedule all the time yet you are a few minutes late because a screw up with their company and nope we can’t see you.
My family goes here and I can say with extreme confidence it is the best! Staff makes us all feel extremely comfortable and is very polite. I have younger sisters and they are always patient with them and make sure to explain everything to their understanding to ensure they are comfortable as well. Everything is very clean and well organized. They care about the health and safety of their customers as well.... they follow updated COVID regulations to ensure safety which is very nice to see. I come here for every eye appointment and have always been greeted kindly, waited for my appointment patiently, went through the normal procedures and process for an eye exam, and they are extremely helpful if I ever had any questions or needed some help picking out frames or contact lenses. They have redone the look of there store on the inside and it looks amazing! Will always come to this place!
This was my first eye exam and my overall experience was pleasant! The office is very clean and tidy, they even give you a brand new mask when you first enter in! The staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. As it being my first eye exam I had a lot of questions which by the end of the visit all my questions were answered. Definitely staying with Canton MyEyeDr.!
I usually have trouble at the eye doctor getting my prescription right, but I love how I can see out of my new glasses. Also, the doctor recommended eye drops for my dry itchy eyes which help a lot. Everyone in the office was caring and professional which I appreciate.
I will not return to this place. They have no patience with kids. I have a 7 yr old who was not familiar with how the optometrist works. She had only been to the optometrist once before, and it was 2 years ago. They did not explain procedures to her, so when she did not do what they wanted her to do, they got frustrated with her, and were very rude. My advice to them: take a class on child development and learn some patience, or don’t accept children at your clinic.
Really quick service and support for picking my glasses
I have used them for years for me and my kids. We were using the Canton location when even before it was MyEyeDr.. Some of the same staff is there and they always have good music, possitive environment, and friendly staff.

Terrible place. Waited outside the door to be let in. Have to call first which made me ten mins late. Office would not even take me. 10 minutes! Ive had to wait longer for doctor in waiting room. Will not be going back.
My whole family uses My Eye Dr and Dr. Shipley! We are absolutely satisfied. Very nice, very quick and very helpful. Checkout process is a little long with ordering glasses and contacts but overall, very easy to deal with and very customer service oriented. I have been wearing glasses since I was 9 (26 years) and have had only two (2) doctors and this one is one of the best.
This place is fantastic! The staff is super friendly and extremely nice! All the Doctors are wonderful! The prices are extremely good! I was super satisfied with my exam and glasses. I will be recommending myeyedr of Canton to all of my family and friends! Thank you for being the Best!

The doctor was extremely competent and pleasant. The one staff member we dealt with was pretty cold and not particularly friendly but was competent. It was a strange mixture I thought.
I have been coming here for 5 years ... love that the doctor is always the same... staff is very friendly and personable. In and out in 40 minutes for contacts and eye exam.
I have been a customer for three or four years now and the staff at Suresight has always been very helpful and professional. Suresight came highly recommended to me and I have recommended them to many people including my two grown daughters. As a local business owner I appreciate the attention and concern the staff and doctors show their customers. I have been to OTHER Eye Doctors where I was made to wait long past my appointment, then overcharged for what was done, and ignored once they realized I was not going to buy new over priced eye glasses.
My husband and I see Dr. Shipley and are extremely satisfied with the care he has provided us. Also the staff is very nice.
The people here are the worse. They have poor customer service and I mean extremely poor customer service. If they got your money they don’t give two craps on if you’re satisfied if you’re happy nothing once they get your money they do not care. I would recommend any other place besides this place. The only reason why I even go to it is because it’s the only place that except my vision insurance which I am now I am just going to start paying out of pocket because I refuse to go to them anymore. I will say the one female doctor that actually does your exam is very nice and very respectful as you try to help me so I will see everybody in the staff is not bad but majority of the staff and as a whole they do not care about their customers. But for the one female doctor there I do thank you you still care, but asAs far as everyone else they don’t I strongly advise to go anywhere else.
Dr. Covington did my eye exam & she was great! She was very friendly, helpful, thorough & knowledgeable. She was very patient with me and explained everything to me in terms I would understand. Also - the man who took time to explain my insurance coverage & benefits to me was very friendly and helpful. He was very thorough in explaining all of the pricing for everything. I haven’t ordered or received my glasses yet, so I can’t really speak to any of that. They seemed to have a big selection & a good variety of styles & prices to choose from at their location, which was nice. I will definitely continue to use Dr. Covington at My Eye Dr.
My son had an eye infection on a Friday night and although they had an appointment available on Saturday they refused giving to us because it was only for an eye exam and not a clinic appointment. This place is miss managed at best.
Staff is very unprofessional, they refused to see me same day and to wait till after the weekend to see me when I had an eye infection. Luckily I was able to see an ophthalmologist the next day. He said it could have been very bad if I had waited any longer.
Would not honor warranty on broken frames. Never trust these people. Im glad I have options, will never be back here again.Editing the original review in response to owner comment. I used the link in MyEye doctor response, filled out my contact information to resolve the issue one week ago and have not heard back from them. They remain as a one star review for failure to attempt contacting me to resolve the problem.
My husbands eye took a turn for the worst. I called on Friday begging for an appointment on Saturday. I expressed he had an infection and could not open the eye (went from being fine to this way in a couple hours). They had an opening but that time was “set aside” for an eye exam not a clinic appointment. So they would not see him. Luckily we knew someone who was an ophthalmologist and he met us on his day off and he got the help he needed. The doctor said if he waited it would be extremely severe. He had antibiotic eye drops every hour for two days and a steroid drop every six hours. I was disgusted that “My Eye Doctor” refused to help in a situation that could have had a very negative outcome, especially when they had an opening.
Going into week 4 of waiting on a set of lenses.I had an eye exam on May 15 and have yet to receive new lenses. I called two weeks in and they said they’d be ready June 5. Called June 5, was told June 7. June 7 has now passed.My family has gone here since it was SureSight, and since MyEyeDr took over the practice there’s been a noticeable decline in the ability of practice to get things done. Whole thing feels like a big, SUPER pricy sales pitch now - my brother no longer gets glasses here because the last time he came the price before insurance was $800.Dr. Shipley is great, but that’s about it.
We love Dr. Shipley & Dr. Covington! The office staff has bent over backwards to keep my daughter in contacts (even after we waited till the last minute to order more) and have always been very friendly.
Have never had any issues up until they wouldnt issue me any more contacts and Im not due for my exam for 2 more months. Now I have one ripped contact and no replacement.
Overall, make sure you understand your benefits BEFORE you walk in for your appointment. The doctors at this location are great, the selection is pretty good, and the service for the past five years has been good as well. This year is an exception!As far as the doctors are concerned, I highly recommend Suresight. They do a thorough job on the exam and take time to explain everything in detail. I feel confident that when they tell me I need something, I actually do -- and its not just a marketing ploy to overuse your benefits.The office staff, however, (in two seperate cases) committed what I call creative accounting. This is where you bill the insurance proper charges to get paid from them and at the same time claim there are certain benefits that are not covered to bump up your out of pocket expense. When confronted with an explanation of benefits to question why there had even been any out-of-pocket, their response is Sorry, thats what the insurance shows for coverage. Sure, you can go ahead and call them, but it wont help. This is your charge and thats it.After a call to the insurance company, who in turn called the office manager to straighten things out, the out of pocket money had to be credited back (as it was covered expenses under our plan.) I walk in the door to get receipts for the credits and am told It was the insurance companys fault -- Ive been working with them all morning to make sure you get your FULL benefits. Sorry, but I have to call BS on that one!!!! Someone who tells me sorry there is nothing you can do takes the initiative to call the insurance -- yeah, right! It was me who called -- and had THEM call YOU to fix YOUR mistake. Next time, own up to it, fix it, and keep a customer.Go see the doctors, but DO NOT trust the office staff! Know your benefits before they ask you pay anything out of pocket....
Love Dr.Shipley, I just wish he would change offices. I have gone here for several years when it was Suresight but since MyEyeDr. took over this place is a joke. I just want an exam maybe some glasses or contacts thats it. I feel like its just a big sales pitch for a bunch of BS I dont want or need. Their selection is lame and expensive. I will still go there for my exam just for Dr. Shipley but I am not buying anything else there. The one star is for Dr.Shipley.
Took me two mouths.to get my glasses and when I did they were bent all out of shape I could not see with them at all took them back they would keep them for a few weeks then I would go back to pick them up and still could not see with them. Its been almost a year and im still in my old glasses the new ones are in a box what a waste of money I will never go back to this place....
Just went there. A horribly rude and hateful person who works there has convinced me to never come back. In the past, she didnt work there and we loved the place. Now the company has changed and we wont be back.
This has been my daughters eye docter for a year now, and weve had zero issues.

My family and I will never return to this place . Front desk was rude . Was a patient for years, with my siblings and parents . From now on we all will be going somewhere else .
