We purchased a swimming pool from these guys and had a decent experience. I went back for a Jacuzzi Spa and I’ve got to say that it feels like a huge mistake. They are taking the big-box “Walmart” style approach where they just serve as the middle man to sell the Spa and offer NO service and support and from delivery on and delivery was suspect.

Excellent experience from top to bottom! Sales team very knowledgeable and can answer any question . Install crew were great they kept me informed of changes and did Excellent work excavating and installing pool. Only took 6 hours to do 21foot pool. All workers were informative and professional . I just visited Great Escape in Canton near Belen Village. I was Never greeted when I walked in. I Spent 15 minutes browsing the outdoor furniture, much of which had no pricing. No one ever asked if I needed help. I walked past three employees who were talking as I was leaving. Again no acknowledgement or “thanks for stopping in”. Would never go back!

The quality of their products seems pretty good. And their prices seem fair. Their showroom is large, filled with product, and well laid out. But it’s their service that is truly outstanding. Salesman 2405 Colton H did a really great job working with us. We couldn’t afford to get everything we wanted, but he worked with us, and maybe next year we can complete our outdoor dining set. When we do, we will definitely go back to him.

06/21 Overheard salesman telling potential customers they could not have a pool installed this year, when I questioned my salesman he didnt know why he would say that yet couldnt give me a installation date. When I pressed him he became angry and walked away from me! They were sold out of pools and advertised so! Hence why I couldnt get a pool put in this year....yet wanted a deposit! I have no tolerance for being lied to. I will never ...ever return.

My husband and I chose to purchase a 30 foot above ground pool from Great Escape this year! Honestly I can say, they have made this the most pleasant experience possible! Being new to owning a pool, they have been extremely educational and patient! They offer pool school with Tony every Monday which I attended and highly encourage any new pool owner to make time for! He truly made me feel so comfortable and confident leaving that class!! I feel very taken care of anytime I take in a pool sample! They are extremely knowledgeable and will leave you feeling confident! EXTREMELY PLEASED ALL AROUND!!!

My Salesman was very helpful and informative. He took the time to fully explain the features of the pool I had chosen along with the installation aspects and timelines. The company they have set up their pools is worthless! They left pipe threading tape(that was still on the roll) inside the connection of the hose that runs into the pool filter. Luckily l, it didnt ruin our filter.

My wife and I have purchased several big ticket items from Great Escapes. Always loved coming here. In August last year we purchased a patio set or so we thought. We ordered all pieces for approximately 3,700 left a deposit and they were going to order them in. They suggested we could leave them there until spring. Well months ago we received a call to confirm our order, ok... We already left a deposit and signed the paper work but ok, I called back and spoke with someone who assured me we would have the furniture in April, they were waiting on a few pieces but no problem. I called to today to first be told my sales person is off and they would call me back, to find out that they were actually there. After speaking with him he said I will get this all worked out, called me back 30 mins later to say the over sold that set and didnt have anyway of getting it... Really someone who has spent a lot of money with your company and was promised multiple times the items would be available to be told well I guess we will refund your deposit. I am beyond disappointed with this organization and would never do this to my clients. Need less to say I will be sure to let all my customers and vendors know to steer clear of this place. A once happy customer that advocated their business is now a lost customer. Oh well I am just a number. Stay clear of this place if you need to order something!!!

My family purchased a pool this year from the location. . The schedulers were up front or would text letting you know if there were any delays with the installation. Originally told it would be a week later than originally stated and then ended up being on time of the original install. The staff at the location has always been friendly, very informative and always get an answer. Attended Pool School with Tony last night to learn all about taking care of a pool. Was an all around great experience and hope to continue to do business with the company.

I bought my new deck furniture from a great salesman named Brian. He was by far the most patient and helpful person I have ever dealt with. Even when the delivery people messed everything up, Brian took over and made everything right. Most places would have made me deal with the bad situation but Brian took care of it for me. Its bothersome that I have to give a star at all. I was told by the store manager (Kyle) that the product I purchased was low quality ($800). I was told that my patio furniture would be replaced or I would be given store credit and that was a lie. I was given the run around for a month with several emails and phone calls of BS. I cant truly express how grateful I am to my friends who recommended Tony and the staff at the Canton Ohio Great Escape! I truly appreciate the staff. Tony, Pat, and the rest know their stuff! Theyre always been knowledgeable and patience with me. I wasnt a fan of getting a pool, (Karens idea), but I can honestly say that Tony has shown us how easy keeping a nice pool can be. Going into our third pool season, my wife and I continue to go back to Pool School night to refresh our info. Its the only pool store of any company weve checked out that actually teaches what it takes to keep a pool healthy. Weve saved a bunch of $$ and guesswork. Great place, good people! Great prices and great products. The service here is second to none. When looking for our first pool, they knew the problems wed have dealing with our particular city, and they helped us take care of everything. The installation crew they sent were a friendly, professional team of guys. Years now after the main sale, they still treat us with the same friendliness and helpfulness as they did the first time we walked in looking to buy our first pool. Tony is extremely knowledgeable and eager to help. Anytime weve ever had an issue or a question, our immediate thought is, Lets ask Tony. Sure weve tried other places over the years now, but we always end up right back at The Great Escape. You wont regret doing business with these people. From the salesman to the installers our experience with the great escape was absolutely perfect. Brian was honest and completely open when ot came the good and the not so good of our purchase. It was the busiest pool buying season in history and he was completely straight up with us about the timeline we were looking at. The installers were running behind due to weather but worked their a@%$s off to get caught up and deliver on the initial scheduled date. Mark, Matt, Mike and Crazy Don (heehee) couldnt have been more professional and knowledgeable. The only negative of our experience with the install was that the installers were so fast and had to leave so soon. We would highly recommend Great Escape to anyone looking for a pool! We purchased ours in 2017. Our water level was down significantly this pool season so we were concerned about a leak. We drove down to Canton and talked to Tony. Wth the coronavirus, his staff was limited and so for him to commit to driving almost an hour to check out our pool for a leak could have taken awhile and we understood. But we shared the concern that the water was too low to run the pump. And 2 weeks prior we had just added 4000 gallons!! And we were expecting a second delivery of water within a day or so!! He said he would be there the following afternoon, and he was!!! He found the leak and patched it!! Thank you Tony so much!! Cant say it enough!!!!!

This store, employees and the products they offer are amazing. Since opening, we’ve purchased a new pool, patio furniture and a 6 piece theatre seating group and have had nothing but great experiences. The sales staff is highly knowledgeable but they do not use any kind of sales pitch, they show you their products, step away, then let you decide. The pool installers were great and the delivery guys were in and out within 15 minutes. I would highly recommend this business and their products.

I bought a pool heater in June, 2019 to replace my 15 year old heater. The cost was around $1400. . it was installed by a certified technition and has only been used for about 4 months. I called hayward and was told it was no longer under warranty although the manual says its under warranty for 3 years. The replacement exchanger is around $700. My tech believes that I was sold a used heater as new because the amount of corrosion is not consistent with the amount of time the pool the heater has been in use. Great Escape sales me offered me a deal on chemicals!

My husband and I moved into a home that already had a Great Escape pool. Never owning a pool before, I went into the store for more information. Wow, I’m so glad I did! I was blown away by the friendliness and knowledge of the staff. Every Tuesday they have an hour and a half class to tech you everything there is to know. Today was the real kicker; I went out to empty the skimmer and realized that the pump wasn’t working. I called as soon as they opened to talk with someone. They told me exactly what was needed and how to fix it. I told them that I’m too scared to touch anything electrical, so the manager came to my house within a few hours and fixed it!! I am again blown away with their customer service! I would recommend them to anyone I know!

We recently purchased a pool from The Great Escape in Canton. I have been so happy with our purchase, and the level of customer service that I have received from the staff working at this store. I have called them every day since my pool was installed with questions, and everyone has been so very kind and helpful! Today, there was a minor issue with my heater, and I called to see if someone could come out to check it out. Well, someone was there within 20 minutes and had the problem fixed right away! Highly recommend.The only thing I would recommend for improvement would be to include gas and electric installation with the install of the pool as an option. Otherwise, everything has been great!

The Great Escape is the go to place for pools, supplies and backyard living! The staff is knowledgeable, the products are A-plus and I couldnt enjoy my summer without their help! I had written a review a little over a week ago but had removed it because I was eventually contacted by management. We purchased our pool (above ground round) in February of this year (2020). Prior too and after installation in May, the week of the 18th, we were unable to get in the pool for several days due to poor weather, cold water, etc. When we did get in for the first time several days later, we discovered a small hole in the liner, approximately 2 feet under water. It was very difficult to get a hold of anyone and I ended up going to the store and was not pleased with my service. I never accused anyone of wrong doing, I just was in shock our brand new pool had a hole However, a manager did call and we seemed to settle everything. The installers came out and patched the hole and I was assured a new liner, chemicals, and water at the end of this season or beginning of next, my choice.We then cover the pool with the brand new solar cover. The solar cover sinks over and over again. It will not cover the pool. We remove the cover and literally every single bubble is popped on the cover. Im not exaggerating. Every single one. HOW? I figure it must have been defective. We go back to the store and they order a new solar cover for us, thankfully free of charge, and it will be here hopefully this week (of June 8th).Wake up this morning and notice immediately that the water level is QUITE a bit lower than it was yesterday. I can tell, because remember, we dont have a pool cover at the moment. I go around to the far side of the pool to huge puddles of water. The chlorinator hose blew out somehow. How? I have no idea. But it did.I have dreamed of having a pool my entire life. Now, I want to get rid of it. It has been exactly 18 days since our pool was installed. I may have just terrible luck. The companies that Great Escape purchases from may notoriously send out defective products. This may be a rare or regular occurrence. Whatever the explanation is, our experience in the short 18 days since our pool has been installed has been awful and I would strongly suggest reconsidering, or at least doing more research than we did. Hope this review helps someone out.

I am giving our experience with buying an above ground pool a one star. We have been extrermely disappointed in the process. We purchased our above ground pool in March. Our salesman said he would call us to let us know when we could set up our installation date since they currently were not installing due to COVID. We were completly understanding to that fact that we had to wait. However we never recevied that call. So at the end onf May I called and they said oh yea we can get you on the list and gave me an install date of July 8th with pool delivery on the 3rd of July. We were a little upset because we had ordered our pool very early in the season and now would not be able to get our pool until the middle of summer because we never received a phone call. Now our pool has been delivered and is sitting in our garage but the installer has pushed back our install date yet another week due to weather! What weather?! it has not rain in weeks! So now we have to wait until the 15th and hope they do not push us back again. We are currently considering returning the pool and going with another business next year. We will never do business with The Great Escape again.

Went here to buy a hot tub. Went in 2 weeks ago and was told to come back over labor day for more savings. Went in 1 week later to make sure thats the one we wanted, only to be told by a different person that there is no such sale and if we didnt like it, to go elsewhere. So we are. Well we bought a pool from Tony the manager I had asked how long to be installed he said and I quote 2 to 3 weeks. Well it is going on 7 weeks. The bad experience started with the delivery of the pool. They called me and made an appointment to deliver between the hours of 9am to 1 pm. At 1:15 they still hadnt delivered the pool. So I called them they informed me that they were coming between 4 and 6 pm. I asked them why did u tell me 9 to 1. Oh were sorry we made a mistake. So I missed a whole day of work for there mistake. I called Tony the manager to let him know what was going on. He said Im sorry. Great excuse. After the pool was delivered 2 weeks later penny the pool installer contact person told me they would be calling me on June 12 Sunday to set up installation for that week. Well guess what they never called. So the moral to the story go somewhere else. All they do is lie. They take your money and they dont care. My next step is to contact the better business Bureau.

Their prices are listed with no adminities. It was important to me to know what their servicing was for the warranty period and how that works. I also want it the Bluetooth stereo equipment worked and why it was an additional $1,000 for this feature. They were also many other fees delivery setup haul away of the old one and many conditions on the delivery. A good hot tub requires a 220 line with a 50 amp breaker that can only be done by a licensed electrician. So my $8,000 hot tub would have ended up out-of-pocket cost with tax would have been 10500 plus an additional 1100 for the electrical service that they do not provide. The salesperson could not explain all of these additional cost and why the models are priced at a base price and you have to add your wants onto to the price. Ended up purchasing a hot tub from Litehouse and the price shown includes heater chemicals and my Bluetooth stereo and it totaled $8,900 out the door tax and everything. I did have to pay an electrician for the 220 50 amp line but it was well worth it and I saved $2,000 by going to Litehouse. My advice is shop around and if the Great Escape cannot give you what other places are offering go somewhere else.

Purchased a pool was told pay $50 -$100 down and balance due day before delivery. I was told that scheduling would call me within 2 days to set up delivery and installation. Was told by sales rep that pool would be installed around 1st week of may. Never got a call from scheduling... I called them 5 days later and was told we arent scheduling anyone who bought pools in April we are just now scheduling purchases made in March. I contacted sales rep he stated if you had put more of a down payment then maybe you could get the pool before middle of june. The next day I went to the store and canceled my order. Three different people wanted me to explain repeatedly why I was canceling my order. Its been three weeks since this started and today scheduling called me to set up delivery before she realized I had canceled my order.

Store is ok. For the prices your asking on patio furniture you think they could afford to cut the grass and trim some bushes at the store. Place looks like a dump from the outside.

So my wife and I bought a pool in the fall of 2015. We bought a 24 because that is what we could afford. The salesman we were working with steered me away from a DE filter and convinced me to buy a cartidge. He told us it was the better option. We received a call that they sold our pool before we had it installed but they would upgrade us to the 27 at no extra charge. This seemed like a nice gesture! We installed the pool in September so we only hooked the pump up to circulate the closing chemicals. Everything seemed to work out ok. The following year, about 2 months into the season, our pool got green. No matter what we did we couldnt get it clean. Ended up talking with Tony the owner and he gave us a voucher to get a new filter the next year. We got the pool as swimmable as possible and suffered through the rest of the season. Now its 2017 and my pool is still cloudy. I talked with Tony again to try again to trade in my filter for the DE filter. He keeps telling me that there is nothing wrong with the unit. I have now called an independent pool company to see what is wrong. They tested the water and inspected the system. Water is fine (as it has been all along) and tell me they recommend DE filters to all their customers. So they told me the only way to keep my pool clear is to buy a different filter, the one we wanted originally. So in summary, they sell you an undersized cartridge filter when you buy a new pool to sell you more chemicals and then tell you that you are wrong in the end. I highly recommend in taking your business to a place that treats you like a customer and not a comission.

Bought a patio set, big one, for $2500 and was told it was Sunbrella quality. My 3 year old real Sunbrella stuff purchased elsewhere is still 100% water resistent, holds shape and hasnt faded one bit. The fake sunbrella that The Great Escape sells is no where near the quality. Under one year and the faric is faded, water soaks right in and takes days to dry, the pillows have lost shape and are basically blobs and the cushion wrap under the fabric has turned to dust and gets on everything. The frame has stood up so far but does already have rust although I was told it was all aluminum. Aluminum doesnt rust! Never again will I buy fake or anything from The Great Escape claiming to sell Sunbrella quality stuff.
