Tom is great. He took my vehicle for a test drive to diagnose a transmission issue 10 minutes before closing. He gave me a very simple diy fix for the issue, as opposed to an up sell for unnecessary work. Honest and very knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend.
Waterloo Transmission has 3 locations now. Canton, Akron, Dover. My experience with them was very good. They advised of several options to repair. Easy to work with and a clean operation. Communication was excellent and Andy was easy to work with. Prior to taking my vehicle there I asked other service professionals and they all recomended them. I would now as well. I was quite pleased.
When a transmission shop doesnt want to work on your transmission, only replace it.... thats a red flag. The only saving grace was they didnt charge me an arm and a leg to diagnose the problem..which Id already figured out.Update... I checked, there are zero special tools required to work on the subaru transmission, newer models with AVCS would require the avcs security socket ($9.95), however mine does not have this feature. Review stands.... theyre undoubtedly good with North American vehicles, I would not take any import here though (my subi was built here ... laughing at the weirdness)
Thay did a very good job no complaces
Cleveland Ave store had a rude man working that clearly didnt want to be there, major attitude, I canceled my service in fear that he would do a horrible job to my truck
Brandon was super helpful.
Andy was able to diagnose the issue and assist me with the best route for my problem. In the end I had them install a new transmission with a great warranty. Thanks for all your help.
Speedy service. Very knowledgeable. Professional. Great customer service. All around great service. Very pleased.
Quick, attentive service. My jeep was diagnosed and repaired all in one day, after calling to make an appointment the day before. Would recommend!
If I could rate lower I would. Andy has no customer service skills and the owners never returned 2 phone messages. So I guess Andy learned from them?Promised car in 1 week n then after repeated calls explained that the transmission they put in was defective and were ordering another. Promised again by Monday, calls on Monday Tuesday finally CB Wednesday more problems but will have Friday. Do we get a call Friday? NO I had to call them at 4.30pm to see if ready. Yea no customer service skills here!
Checked on which part I needed told me No problem
Andy and Steve will take care of you! A good place for service or repair work! They are skilled and knowledgeable about your vehicle! THANKS FELLAS!!!
Very. Great prices on giving a new transmission an fixing other parts on cars very reasonable 👍
I recently had an issue with a transmission that was covered under an after market warranty. The warranty company made it as hard as possible to meet the criteria to use the policy. Andy and Tom really advocated me and did everything in there ability to get the company to work with me .After a long struggle they were able to get the warranty company to take responsibility! Saved me Thousands !!!!!! Thanks Guys
There is no doubt in my mind that Waterloo is the best place in the Northeast Ohio region to have a transmission replaced or rebuilt. I took a vehicle to them a few years ago and had the transmission rebuilt and have had no major problems with it. Yes it has had a few leaks but thankfully for the 3 year 100,000 mile warranty I bought it has been covered with no hassle. I want to stress the no hassle Ive had no issues what so ever taking it to them and saying hey there is a small leak. Waterloo also a few years ago fixed an issue that was causing the engine to jerk at high speeds it was one corroded wire, took some time to find it but there wasnt another company that was able to find / fix the issue. Ask for Andy, the man knows what hes talking about and just a great person to deal with.
Been using Waterloo for years. These guys can diagnose anything. Saved me money and time. Would rate 6 stars if I could.
Took my boyfriends jeep in, after having our machenic look at it, because he told us something in the differential needed fixed. Talked to them and were told theyd look at it Monday and call us. That never happened. We had to call them. The guy on the phone said they had the differential out and it was being looked at. We gave the okay to fix whatever needed done to the differential. We get the car back and look at the bill and they did no work to the differential. We take it back to our mechanic and find that they never took the differential out. If they had they would have found the problem. I dont recommend going to this place.
Went in thinking something crazy happened to my car, andy was honest and told me it just needed flushed, cleaned and new fluid. Cost my only $300 thinking I was gunna spend atleast a grand, now my car runs like I first got it. Awesome place 🤙
Andy lie to me all week about my car
Helpful, generous staff are at the Canton Waterloo Transmissions. They did a good job of explaining what was wrong, and worked through any issues I had.
Found this shop on google went into looking for a diagnoses on what I assumed to be my transmission and I was right. Honest and fair quote would recommend this shop!
I read free estimates. I called, to get a price a week ago. Maybe they went out of business?
This place is the only place to go for transmission issues. Andy is the manager and he really knows what he is doing and how to explain things. I recently had our 2010 Kia Sedona van at Waikem Kia for almost 5 weeks while they replaced the transmission for odd shifting. After the replacement, it was still shifting funny and I decided to get a second opinion. After riding in the van for 10 minutes, Andy explained that what it was doing was a fuel economy thing related to the torque converter engaging and disengaging. Apparently many newer vehicles do this and it can feel like multiple shifts. So in 10 minutes, he diagnosed and explained what a whole factory trained service department could not do in 5 weeks. We need more people like him who actually understand these complex vehicle systems!
They great people
