I highly recommend Canton Auto Repair. My daughter’s car broke down on I-77. Not being from the area, I was at a loss for where to tow the vehicle. I called Canton Auto Center and spoke to Brad who was so very kind and understanding of my situation. I had the car towed right at closing time and the very next morning I received a call with the diagnosis. He took the time to explain in detail what was wrong and validate my concerns to help me make the right decision. Unfortunately the repairs were beyond what I wanted to pay out to fix the car so I did not move forward with repairs. They were kind enough to provide me resources in the Canton area for salvage. When I arrived to pay my Bill I was greeted with a smile from the lady who was working inside the office. She was so nice and even let me borrow a screwdriver to remove my license plate because of course I took the wrong one along. With so much negativity in the world, I am ever so thankful for the kindness provided to me by every employee I encountered. I know I told you when I was there, but Thank you, Thank you! For 31 years I’ve taken my vehicles to Canton Auto repair for everything from a flat tire repair to major engine repair. I don’t know how they could be better than they are because they take care of their customers by repairing their vehicles correctly the first time. Great, knowledgeable technicians with great attitudes.

So took my car to get an alignment. He checked it out and gave me a laundry list of things wrong with my car.Was gonna charge me 2500 to fix everything. Took to get second opinion. And none of the stuff he said was wrong with it was accually true. Except the control arm. Geting it fixed for 500. They are money hungry do not recommend.

I took my car to get repaired and it started fine, ran okay when I took it. They couldnt fix it do to a non disclosed reason, told me it would cost over $1000 to fix and THEN it wouldnt start! They tried 8!!! Times before it started again smh.

We live 5 hours away in PA and beyond talking her through the simplest things, there is little we can do to help. Canton Auto Repair has come to her rescue. Its always completed in a timely manner and I feel their prices are lower than what others would change. Especially being that I am a woman, a lot of places will try and take advantage of that and get more money out of you, not these guys. They are great. I wont take my car anywhere other than to canton auto repair.

Con artists who will rip you off. They gave me a price which I thought was too high. So I called around and every quote was less than HALF of the price they gave. Called and told them not to do it and they charged me $100 for 20 minutes for their “diagnostic” services which is B.S. as I told them exactly what the problem was when I brought it in. Bad business!

I had been going to this place for years however, these past few times this year has really left a sour taste in my mouth. First of all, I went in for a simple brake repair only for my foot to hit floor of my car when I backed out of a parking space. I was lucky I was close to home when it happened. I call them telling them I was just in for a brake job 2 days ago and my foot hit the floor. They have me bring it in and proceed to charge me more money because my brake lines were bad. Why didn’t they tell me they were bad when they were back the with the brakes? Here the mechanic didn’t even test my hydraulics with my brakes. They still stood firm on charging me that money. I vowed I would never go back. The reason I am writing this now is because I just went to a different mechanic and they were kind enough to warn me that my subframe was full of holes. Back track to the statement that I had been going here for years, these mechanics never told me my subframe was rotting. They have been letting me drive unsafe for a while now. I don’t know what has happened to this place but they really need to be more about the safety of their customers.

I have been bringing my cars here for a few years now. This last time was for my f150, now as many of you know they have some issues, but! I took it in and with no hesitation at all he looked at me and said no problem! They fixed it better than I could have imagined! Its a 20 year old truck with ice cold air runs like new and no check engine light! I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone for ANY issues with their car or truck domestic or foreign they fixed my lexus a couple times when I had it! Great service great people will definatly be back.

I was stuck, one of my work vans was stranded in Akron and AAA would not tow me because they were too busy. I called four different towing companies in Akron and no one could help. I always remembered Canton Auto Repair because of their immaculate, well lettered vehicles. I called and was told they would be up from Canton within two hours. I did not even have to wait for the driver as you usually would with AAA. The van was severely overheating and needed a new radiator for sure. I decided to have them do the work because of how professionally they treated me. There was much more that needed to be done than just the radiator, oil cooler lines, serpentine belt and tensioner, etc. This is one of my service vehicles, so time is of the essence. They told me it would probably take two days to order the parts and do the work. The van was finished the very next day! I could not be happier with my experience. Canton Auto Repair is an A+ establishment! Staff is friendly, polite and knowledgeable. I had routine maintenance done on my vehicle quickly and efficiently. I am very picky when it comes to my vehicles, Canton Auto Repair did a fantastic job and I would recommend them to anyone!!

2 months ago my vehicle wasnt starting, so I took it to Canton Auto Repair. I had no idea what the problem was, but after running some diagnostic tests on it they figured out the problem and repaired it within 1 business day. I recently had problems with getting it started again and had Canton Auto take a look at it. After driving it and running tests on it they couldnt find the issue, but they didnt charge me anything for it. As others have said, they dont just value your money, they also value you as their customer.

Took a 2002 Nissan mini van there to find a reason for a blown 10 amp fuse. 2 work days and $234.00 later they could not find problem but charged me for 3hrs of diagnostics and $10. for what I assume is a fuse. Then tried to get me to install 4 motor mounts and a head casket seal for $512.00 on top of the $234. Which I got nothing for except a 50 cents fuse. Took the van to 2 other people that checked it out in 30 minutes to tell me they could find nothing wrong. They will not be seeing me again they got me for my $234. for absolutely nothing and will not get me again. Buyers beware.This is the review I wrote. The owner has since contacted me and explained his side. This is someone who cares about you and your business. He has stated that he will make it right and I believe him. I apologize to him and his staff for jumping the gun. But the other thing about this Canton business owner is he sees it drom your side also. I will be giving them my next job.

Warning!! Do not go here!! I took my car in for the $50 alignment special and when I come to pick the car up 2 hrs later, my drivers side door handle is broken and I cant open the door. I asked the guy inside to look at it, because it was working perfectly fine when I dropped it off! While Im waiting in the shop, the owner comes out and gets into a screaming match with me about it which almost escalated into a fist fight. They then tell me they want a $120 to fix the door handle THEY had broke!! VERY Unprofessional outfit. Im reporting them to the Better Business Bureau!!

Very disappointed. I took an already quoted bill for auto repairs to them 3 days ago. I even explained that i was driving with no heat & barely there breaks. I let the gentlemen know that i was required 3 estimates before repairs could begin. I went back a day later to pick up the estimate only to be tersly told the front desk lady was out sick & they were behind in work. It took 3 other shops less than 10 minutes to write the estimate. So much for customer service & actually caring about your customer needs. Ive always regarded Canton Auto highly considering I knew the owner when he was just a kid himself. Ill choose to believe theyre just having a bad week and not totally dog the business because I still do have a very high opinion of the owner!

Do not use Canton Auto Repair!!! Took car in to have heater checked out. When I went to pick up my car they held the keys until I paid a $75 diagnostic fee. They never told me there was a fee nor is it posted anywhere in their facility, and I did not sign any sort of authorization. These people (Shawn Cottle) are intentionally not informing their customers and then leaving them no other option but to pay the fee or involve the law. Be aware of these unscrupulous business practices.
