I brought a work trailer in at 7:30am on a Wednesday after being told the week prior that they were too booked to work on it. When I dropped it off Kyle told me that he’d have it done no later than Friday. It just needed tires (which I already had) mounted and balanced. Friday afternoon rolls around and when I stop by to pick up the trailer I get the run around that they are really busy and it’s not done, nor will it be done until next week. Mind you, this is a business trailer and was booked at a job first thing Saturday morning. I hooked up the trailer and left. Try under promising and over delivering next time...it works much better than the alternative for customer service.This is pretty disappointing from a business owner’s perspective. Not only does it ruin my scheduling, but it erodes my customer’s perception of my business. Trombley has always offered me and my company good service in the past; this is completely unacceptable.

From what I understand, they do a good job in the actual repairs.However, I definitely feel like they judge and take advantage of customers who don’t know better.Recently, I had my taillights replaced (the whole system) and I was quoted $200 for a new pair. When I came to pay, they denied ever saying $200 over the phone, and told me that it was $240 and that was it. I was prepared to pay $200 and labor, not $240 and labor. They did not call me to check if the new cost was okay, which in NYS is against auto law. You’re supposed to ask customers if the adjustment is okay if it’s over 10% of the originally quoted price.If I had bought used parts, it would have been HALF the cost. I only wanted new parts for their so called warranty. I wouldn’t have spent $240 if I knew.It would literally be cheaper to have them take out the new parts and exchange them for the used parts, even including the extra labor.The first time I was here, I asked to get my taillights and brakes fixed. They ignored the taillights, fixed the brakes and managed to find several other “issues” to upsell me with.Honestly not a good business to go to if you don’t know cars. They will screw you and your wallet.

Trombly, now Steve Shannon, has long been a good honest reliable shop in Canandaigua. Its where I tell my mom to take her car for everyrhing. I recently got 4 tires installed at a great price. The staff genuinely cares about customer satisfaction.

I am trying to find a way to contact someone. I have been going to Trombleys in Canandaigua my entire adult life for my cars. I have never had a problem and always recommend them to other people. My car has been at this location for over a week now with them knowing it needs a new Turbo. I spoke to Kyle on Tuesday the 10th to confirm I wanted the new Turbo put in. He told me it would be done by Monday the 16th at the latest. I have now called multiple times since Monday and spoke to Mike. Every time I call he tells me the part just came in and they will have it done by the end of the day. How is this possible 3 days in a row? I need my car so I can go to work and had things figured out because I was told Monday. Not sure what happened with the new company coming in, but I am honestly on the verge of being done with this company already. JW and Kyle have always been great and upfront with me, this is the first time in almost 20 years of going there this has happened.

I need a tire they changed it within 10 minutes and I was done and I had a brand new tire good job guys thank you

The mechanical service was great but I was really disappointed in the customer service. 5 of the men standing near the front desk were NOT wearing masks. There were 2 elderly people in the waiting room plus myself who is 34 weeks pregnant. I would expect them to respect their customers more by wearing their mask and following state regulations.

Horrible service! Extremely poor communication! My vehicle was there for months with very little work done to it! They overcharge and did not follow through on their promises. It was like pulling teeth to know what was going on and being done to my vehicle. I will never go back there again for anything and would never recommend them to anyone!

They were very busy, but they got me out with 2 new tires in less than an hour...

We had winter snow tires put on our car and Trombley was fast, professional, and affordable. They had the best prices out of all the places we looked, and were able to get everything done really quickly. Everyone was friendly and definitely took care of us. I was pleasantly surprised! I have used Trombley over the years for a Variety of things from oil changes to manifold replacments and they have always done great! This time was no exception. I had brought my wifes car her for a second opinion from a nother place that shall remain un-named. i was told at this other place that the Catalytic converter was the cause as to why the car was not functioning. Upon review by the team at Trombley they discoverd that it was not the cat, but in fact the transmission and that it was covered under our warranty, once authoirzed they also noticed a few other minor things that needed to be worked on whie they had the car up in the air. They not only saved me from buying a new car but spending money on somehting that the other shop told me was going to fix my car and wouldt have helped at all . Got a flat tire on the way to the wedding 50 miles out from Canandaigua, NY on 7/29/2016. So I called up Trombley Tire & Auto. I was able to drive with the donut luckily. Once I arrived I was very impressed by their customer service and their knowledge of the industry. They have great prices and a great selection of tires. Recently moving to the area, I was concerned about finding a car repair shop that I could trust. After reading a number of reviews, I decided to go to Trombley Tire & Auto for new tires.Both on the phone and in person, all of the employees were patient to answer all my questions. The tires I needed were backordered, but they took my contact information and called me about a week later once they were in and we scheduled an appointment to have them installed (which is nice to minimize wait times). I also scheduled my tire pressure sensors to be replaced as I was concerned their batteries were dying.When I arrived for my appointment, I asked them to check my tire pressure sensors to confirm they needed replacing. A few minutes later, the sales guy at the front desk came out into the waiting room to tell me that the batteries in my tire pressure sensors were fine and I didnt need to replace any of the sensors. I was impressed that they were willing to save me almost $300 in unnecessary repairs! Since they have free wifi in the waiting room, I was also able to work while I waited. Within the hour, my service was complete and I was on my way.Ill certainly be going back for my next service.

These guys are my only stop for tires. quality products and service that they stand behind. Also have always been very honest with me on what I need to fix now and what can wait. In a world of shady mechanics I have never left this place feeling like I got screwed.

The staff was friendly and seating area was more comfortable than most other places. But I went in for a oil change, and then when I left I started getting an error code on my car saying there was too much oil. I took it back, waited an hour and they said they emptied out some of the oil, but still got the error. I went somewhere else to have more oil emptied but since my car does not come with a dipstick, they had to guess how much to take out. I still have an error message. So now I have to go bu a $300 specially made tool so I can figure out exactly how much extra oil is in my car, as well as tools for an oil change so that I can empty out all the extra oil myself. Went here because of the great reviews and recommendations but now will have to spend more money to fix it. Very disappointed

Very polite staff, can ask dumb questions to.I went to them for a ball joint replacement, but Im fairly certain they installed it on the wrong wheel. The problem still persists, I went to a different mechanic, and was notified that there was a new ball joint on a non-problem corner of my car.I did not get the feeling that Trombley verifies that their repairs indeed solve the issue, but it would seem they diagnosed it properly.

To begin with, theyre not particularly friendly with new customers. I needed my back window fixed because it wouldnt go up, and I needed them to replace the license plate for me, since I dont have the tools.They got the window up but never fixed the original reason it stuck, so now I just dont use that window. They also charged me $30 for replacing that plate! Then I took in our other car for an oil change and I was concerned about the sounds the brakes were making. They told me the brakes were fine. Well, a month later they were sounding pretty bad, so I took it to another place and had to replace rotors and all. I dont hear the brakes now, and Trombley lost a customer.

Came here for new tires and an inspection and the manager JW ordered a specific type for me and got me in 2 days after I called. In and out in less than an hour, I am used to waiting 3-4 times that at other shops. I wasnt unhappy with my usual shop for oil changes and the like, but I will come here now since they are so much more accomodating of busy schedules. You get the sense the people there really enjoy cars so I feel very confident trusting them with repairs.

I came to Trombley to get some repairs done to my car so I could pass inspection in February 2013. This place was recommended to me by a friend who I trust completely and I was delighted to see that his recommendation was right on the money. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and answers all questions even though they are always busy! JW gives exemplary service each time I am there. I have recently relocated from the Canandaigua NY area to Chili NY but I still commute to Canandaigua for oil changes, tire rotation/purchases, inspections, and general maintenance that Im unable to do myself. My boyfriends car is older and needs more serious repairs but I am always charged an honest and fair amount, and usually given a small preferred customer discount as well. I am sent a reminder for my inspection which includes a coupon for that and oil changes! Not only do they charge me fairly and accurately but they also give me coupons? Sign me up - Trombleys is fantastic and if they continue with this type of service, concern, and ownership of any car issues Im having - I will be a customer for life.. though getting my car towed from another state if I do move out of state might be difficult, Ill still consider it.
