Shepard Ford are a great bunch! I Bring my 18 explorer here and every time there is an issue Shepard Ford always keeps me in the loop, and makes sure I am taken care of! They are a great dealership to work with and always easy to talk to!

Went in for scheduled inspection. Then I asked if I could add oil change and tire rotation. No issue. Took my 350 in and within an hour I was out of there. While I was there I need a right tail light. Went to the parts counter. Nice polite young man wated on me. Had it in stock. We walked out to the truck to check to make sure it was the right one. All was good! Talked to the mechanic before work was started. Very polite, service manager, very polite helpful. Paid my bill. Lady at the counter very nice and patient 👌 . Wow! I was impressed. I had reached the 3 1/2 year mark with my prior Ford Flex, and stopped in to have a NYS Inspection performed, and while I was waiting I spoke with my sales person, Mark. I let him know that I would like to upgrade to a newer version of the Flex, and that anytime in the next 6 months would be good. Well - he came back to say that they had a 2019 Flex with 7800 miles just come in.Perfect timing - Mark made the numbers work and I didnt need that NYS inspection!Shepard makes things work

Since the Ford Taurus was being discontinued by Ford I had been looking to upgrade my 2014 Taurus. I found just what I wanted at Shepard Ford -- a 2018 Taurus with all wheel drive (an upgrade from my 2014). Shortly after driving it off the lot I was rear ended by another car/driver. Needless to say I was upset but Jeff Lord stepped up with information where to have the car towed to and offered a car to get back home (about 40 miles). After our car was towed Jeff met us at the body shop to bring us the car to get us home. As a single woman (widowed) I was most appreciative of their sales information and processing of the paperwork for my new car. I was very pleased that they were both concerned and helpful after the accident and made sure we were ok and made it possible to get back home.

No sence even explaining my service there

Took truck in for oil change, tire rotation, and check up. Was advised the vehicle is not worth fixing. Even after asking what needed to be completed now I never got a straight answer. I was given a parts list and told have a nice day and good luck. Will not return or recommend this Ford dealer.

Other than a mix-up in the amount of time it would take to complete the re-call, everything was great. The mix-up was quickly remedied and the time taken was as promised.

Great. Was hooking my old f250 to tow tonight and realized my brake lights were not working. Pulled into Shepard at 3pm, diagnosed, fixed and back out the door at 4. Brake light switch on brake pedal arm had broken. Very accommodating.

I have been using Shepherd Ford since I won oil change certificates through a silent auction. I have no complaints. The service department is friendly and courteous. I work nearby so used the courtesy shuttle before the pandemic. My four wheel drive was not functioning during our first snow this year. I was able to get in right away and have the issue diagnosed. I wasn’t able to afford that day but the following week I made a next day appointment and the issue was repaired in hours.

Great and only the best of service, I called the other Ford dealers especially the one in Avon and they want you to make an appointment two or three weeks away for an oil change can you believe this, love this dealership 👍

My trade up to a newer Escape was a fair and easy experience. Shepard Ford made sure I had a fresh battery and good snow tires on the 2018 car I purchased. They took care of all the insurance and DMV paperwork so I did not have to go to the office or have temporary stickers to deal with.

I purchased my first ever ford. Service was great and done quickly- they addressed every question and concern i could ask. I will definitely go back.

After a 500 + mile drive with an intermittent A/C blower problem, I contacted Shepard Ford for their help. The blower worked, but only occasionally. The Shepard people couldnt have been nicer, but after ordering the wrong part, they replaced the wrong thing! When they said it was ready, I drove only a couple of miles and it didnt work. Returning immediately to the dealer, the service team member couldnt get it to work either. He called the mechanic who came forward, played with it for awhile, then it kicked in. He said the blower which they replaced was fine but there is a resistor(?) that controls the blower which is bad. So, $600.00 later I still had a bad A/C system. Driving the over 500 miles home, it was still intermittent. Back home, my Ford dealer got another $600.00 to fix it correctly. I should think there is some way Ford could reimburse part of this to me.

I became a first-time Ford owner recently. I thought a problem was developing, so I searched online for a Ford service center close to home, and was excited to find Shepard Ford in Canandaigua, NY. A service appointment was available fairly quickly and Shepard’s shuttle service was offered so I could leave my car. I was surprised to find Shepard Ford conveniently located next to Walgreens on Rts 5 & 20. The service center seemed clean and thoroughly modern with drive-in access to service. The floor plan was well thought out with Service desk, Parts Dept., and Business Office conveniently close to the Service door. I was treated well and never made to feel small for not understanding the warning lights on my car. Still covered by warranty, there was no charge for testing the battery and applicable systems even though no problem was found and, much to my surprise, they also made adjusting my car’s headlights complimentary. I drove home feeling much more confident in the safety and reliability of my car, delighted with how well I’d been treated, and happy to know that I’d found a great home for my vehicle’s future service needs. I have a friend who came here for a noise when AC was on. Shepard Ford said he needed a new AC compressor along with all the goodies of compressor replacement comes with. Turns out the compressor has its own drivebelt. The noise was a frozen belt tensioner from our salted roads. Very happy to have saved him over a $1,000 in repairs. Be wary of this dealership!

Overall it was a good visit however one thing bothers me. Why have an online booking option if it doesnt work? I felt a bit punished when checking in and hearing, Did you book online? Then hearing, Oh, that doesnt really work... So they had to squeeze me in which didnt seem to be to much of an issue since it was only a NYS Inspection. It did however make me forget one item that I wanted them to work on. I had it all very detailed in my online reservation which is why I prefer to make reservations this way. Other than that its the same old same old when dealing with the Service Department. Some do it better, some do it worse.

I have done business with Shepard Ford for years. The service has always been great, whether purchasing a new vehicle or bringing it in for service. My last several vehicle purchases have been escapes. I like the drive and the ride. I was in recently for routine oil change and service. The wait was not long and service people are always helpful and courteous.

After spending $657.33 to have my back up camera repaired, it still does not work. Shepard Ford now wants another $600 for yet another component of the system. I would have just turned it off had it been thoroughly and properly diagnosed.

Recent Ford purchase (1+ year) is great. Sale was smooth and I felt valued and treated fairly. Have had oil changed several times without appointment, and car went right in, wait was short, and one fault found was 100% under warranty. All employees I have met at Shepard ask my needs and do 100% to make me happy.

I had a great experience with the sales department when I purchased my vehicle 6 months ago. I was contacted that it was time for my 6 month service appointment and was happy that I could complete this as a walk in on a Saturday. I was politely greeted in the service department and told the work would be completed within an hour. The waiting room and rest rooms were clean and very comfortable. Coffee was available as was a large screen television. I was impressed with the facility and the professionalism of the staff. The service was completed within an hour as promised. Been with my 2016 Ford Focus a few weeks and loving it - got great attentive service from Jim, our sales person, and have been enjoying the ride mostly around Ontario County and to work since. I drove to Rochester last week and despite my (pretty bad and chronic) lower back problem, I was more comfortable than Ive been driving this distance in years. The reverse camera is really handy for dealing with backing up into my long driveway, mileage seems fine, and so far everything about this car is just right!

For 11+ years I have had my car serviced at Shepard Ford.There are several conveniently located areas where I could have had my car serviced, but I chose to travel 70+miles round trip to have it serviced at Shepard Ford in Canandaigua, NY. They are knowledgeable, friendly and work was done in a timely fashion. They were willing to explain what was being done and why. They kept me alert to potential problems and the preventive measures that could be taken. When my service visit was prolonged they transported me to a nearby restaurant where I could be comfortable while I waited. But, most importantly, as a widow without any mechanical “know how” and limited resources, I found them to be HONEST and TRUSTWORTHY! One cannot put a price on that.Being impressed with Shepard Ford, I traded in my 2008 Ford Focus and bought a Ford Escape today! I felt very comfortable with Mark, my salesman. He was not pushy and listened to my needs and directed me to what was best FOR ME and didn’t try to push a vehicle that would be more profitable for Shepard. He worked hard to get all the discounts possible to fit my budget. I especially appreciate that he did all the work to make things as convenient as possible in taking care of insurance, registration and etc. And, I like that he took the time to orient me to all the nuances of my Ford Escape.Bill, the gentleman that worked his magic, found me the financing needed. I wouldnt trust them to work on my car! I used Shepard for years, then they started recommending repairs that I wasnt sure I needed. When I took it to another mechanic I was told I was right and my car didnt need the work. For example, I was told I needed a $500 water pump. 60,000 miles later I still have not needed to replace this part.

My car windows were not raising when the button was pushed and the mechanisms needed lubrication. The technician at Shepard Ford did a good job lubricating the mechanisms without having to replace these expensive parts.
