I had to turn on service to my iphone 5 today. I took notice that Hometown cellular has a new owner and even though it still has a much friendly atmosphere compared to goin to a bluegrass store, there was a few things that this new owner & operator doesnt do which the previous owner done & that was to allow you to trade in your charger for a charger to go with your new cell ph. I hope the new owner reads this review & hopefully changes his mind about giving customers a break by letting them trade chargers. No tellinng how many ppl i sent to this place for that reason & another reason was the previous owner was flexible & worked with ya! I needed a cellph & my contract still had 6mths! He allowed me to buy a $45 used cell & told me to bring it back in 6mths when i renewed my contract & he would give me exactly what i gave for it. 6 mths later the transaction took place exactly the way he stated. For that reason he had WON my business for life! No telling how many ppl i talked to & paved it forward by giving him over 100 new customers but now its no trading chargers & the new owner didnt trade chargers BUT he would sell me a charger for $15. Well new owner of Howetown Cellular, i hope you read this& reconcider bringing back the charger filing cabnet cause good business will bring you better rewards in the long run. I was disappointed by the way things changed! i just bought a car charger on ebay for $2.33 & NOT $15....And for anyone thinking $500 for a cell ph is crazy? Well it is!!..I only paid $75 for my iphone 5 on ebay. I do hope the new owner reconsiders by giving the cell customers a wallet break cause in the end you will have more customers because lil things like a simple charger trade off is rewarded back in return through referrals. Since i now know that the new ownership done away with the convenient charger trade off to help customers not spend too much, now its how much he can get out of your pocket! What ever happened to good business? It went down the toilet everyone is out for that quick dollar! UPDATE: I called to ask about a new high capacity battery & if I could have it installed. He didnt sell high capacity but would charge $30 to install! Yeah I bet he would, the old owner would of installed the battery for nothing cause I just put service on my phone there the day before! Well my thoughts now is, If Im being charged for every lil thing then I mise well start going to the bluegrass cellular store! I dont see anything different now! So if you want a good deal buy it on EBAY!
