Went here for an insurance repair. Left my vehicle and the shop never contacted my insurance company. So I had to contact them instead. When they finally talked to the insurance company, they never gave them the needed information. So instead of leaving my car there for a week and doing their job for them, I fit my car repaired elsewhere.IN RESPONSE TO YOUR RESPONSE: Yes, I know the insurance protocols. I gave you the claim number. MORE THAN ONCE ! The insurance company responded to your initial email to them and asked you for a fully detailed invoice and you guys dropped the ball.
Im VERY satisfied with the service provided by Made in Japan.They are very professional, courteous and explained everything that will be done in my car along with follow up information.They are not expensive compare to a few other body shops that I requested an estimate.The service was done on time and I admire Matt attention to help take me to the rental car office with the company van.Excellent service!My car is perfect!!! Matt was very professional and communicated with great detail and clarity about the work needed. They did their best to keep costs low for us and worked above and beyond dealing with our warranty company to meet all of their nit-picky demands. Thanks Matt and Rick for great service!!
Great Communication from Rick on the issues and plan to resolve. Car is running much better. Still some work to do in phases but was able to solve a complicated problems with the spark plugs that will allow me to save the car for another 1-2 years.

I was recommended to this company by my former mechanic. I brought my car (BMW) in to check for oil leaks. The people are friendly but the work performed was expensive and did not stop the oil leakage. A year later I am paying another mechanic for the same service. While they may be more successful repairing other cars I would not recommend this company for any services. I strongly recommend taking your car to a mechanic that is specializes on specific brands and can get the job done on time and at a reasonable price.
The service writer just wanted to get the car in the shop did not understand the issue. I had NO confidence they would understand the problem, no difference from going to a car dealer. I went to an owner-operated shop and got the work done.
The team were lovely to deal with, very friendly and I really appreciated that they took the time to explain all their work, follow up and go into detail. Very professional and highly recommended

Both Rick an Matt have been amazing through the process of providing quotes, executing the oil change and providing shuttle service (Jake had excellent customer service) to and from work in order to have my vehicle serviced. They also gave me a realistic time frame and met the time provided. I will certainly continue to take both my vehicles to them. I should add, I live 30mi away! Honest, friendly and professional.

I had all the arrangements made to donate my old, un-working Isuzu Trooper to charity but something inside me told me to give her one last chance. I did a quick Yelp search and stumbled on to Made in Japan. Rick took my call and I was immediately put at ease as he talked me through the process of diagnosing the issues in order to get her back on the road. I had her towed over, and they got right to work. I was so impressed with their amazing communication...every step of the way I was notified with clear explanations and estimates. Both Matt and Rick were so awesome, and took a personal interest in my car as they had a history with Troopers in their own pasts. We had a complete overhaul, including new brakes, tires and they even had it smogged and arranged detailing before we picked her up! Suzie is now all spiffed up and zipping around town like new. This will be my daughters first car and we have total peace of mind that she is in a safe, sturdy car. Prices were very fair and I would recommend Made in Japan to anyone looking for a mechanic. Unfortunately I had to wait to make my payment. Matt the owner worked with me and even removed the storage charges when I explained my situation. They did a lot of work on my beat up old truck. But it feels like it did when it was new. Which means they did a great job. You can feel good about going to made in japan/usa/europe. Your time wont be wasted and what you need done will get done and done properly.

Took my motorhome here because check engine light was on. They gave me estimate so I left came back and they found a short under drivers seat fixed it and in process scratched my door panel. When I went to pick it up they told me immediately about scratch on door panel which I really liked didnt try and cover it up offered to get me new door panel but wasnt that bad asked for a little off bill and they concurred . Matt the owner very nice and seems very knowledgeable Louis that does the write ups and estimates was dead on, I even took our work truck to them and they fixed it even throwing in a sensor that didnt read right. Anyhow will be using these guys for years to come and the best part is there in the neighborhood
It is always a nervous and frustrating thing to deal with car problems and mechanics. But MIJ made this a very positive experience and I will definitely use them again. Right from the first phone call, Rick provided world class service. His knowledge of my problems was very obvious and worked quickly to help get me the parts I needed. It got even better from there. He was a rockstar throughout the process from securing a rental car to showing up early to let me drop off the car to keeping me update on the progress of my repair.The only drawback that I wish was different was that the repair went longer than estimated which extended and increaed my rental car costs by 3 days since a weekend was involved. But overall, this was agreat experience and I can highly recommend MIJ.

This was my second visit. I brought my car in for an oil change, and to replace my windshield wipers. They suggested I replace my wipers the first time I brought my car in for service. They initially charged me $31 to install the $50 wipers. When I asked about this charge, Rick, said he would, as a courtesy, remove the charge. He then returned with a second print out, and charged me $15 to replace my wipers. The oil change, wipers replacement, and key battery replacement was $150. I dropped off my car at 8am and it was ready by 1pm. I found this to be unacceptable. They did provide complimentary shuttle service, and the driver is courteous and friendly. Overall, I would not recommend this place of business to my friends and/or family.
I am so glad to have Matt and his knowledgeable team at Made in Japan as my mechanic. I’ve taken all four of my cars to MIJ over the last thirteen years. They’re like family. I never have to worry about my cars because MIJ keeps them running smoothly. Excellent service, they are extremely knowledgeable, very pleasant to work with and they will explain everything in detail to you if you like. If anything is unsettling just speak to Matt and he will make it right. I’ve recommended MIJ to all my friends and family. I am a happy customer!
I recently visited Made in Japan/ Campbell for break noise front and rear. I spoke to Matt but he refer me to Louie another team advisor. I was talking to Louie the whole time to update the status of my Jeep. Test drive the jeep and he know exactly what I am talking about the noise that been there since day one I bought my Jeep. Tried different shop but never pin point what is the problem. Cant figure it out. Very disappointed! After five years hearing the noise at the back of my Jeep, one person listened and figure it out what my Jeep problem is. Thanks Louie and Matt Team for the effort listening to our cars problem, and figure out how to fixed it and resolved it..I will definitely recommend to all my friends and family the great job what you have done to my Jeep. My family and I depend on them to make sure our car is safe and running properly...they literally state that when you work with them. Replaced my starter and taillight recently at Made in Japan. Satisfied with their work but cant give them a 5th start bc they tried to get me to replace my front camera ($~4,000 parts & labor). With the new starter and battery my camera is now 100% functioning and clearly didnt need replacing. Not sure Id trust them big ticket repairs but fine for small stuff.

I don’t know anything about cars so it was really nice that the team here took the time to break everything down and explain what was being done for me. They didn’t just throw a price at me and go about everything like other shops I’ve been in. They mad me feel taken care of and important. After going home and comparing with other shops I found they gave me an amazing deal and they finished my car almost immediately . I’ll definitely be coming back here!

On my lookout to have my Range Rover autobiography serviced, i came across Matt and his company. Called them up and Luis made sure he got all the details down and had me setup to drop the car and as well gave me a ride back home. Rick and Luis kept me posted with all the updates and even took care of a few sticky buttons in the rear seat console for me which i had requested them for, without charging me anything for that (So special thanks) . They did a great job at patiently explaining to me as to what needed to be replaced and why and did all that was requested in the work order and in time. Gave me a ride to their shop from my house and the whole process was seamless and hassle free (all that you need at this time) . So once again thanks Matt, Luis, Rick and the technicians who worked on the car. Not to mention their service of dropping/picking the customer to/from home in a certain mile radius is a life saver.Within a few hours of dropping the car i called in to check the status and to my surprise the car was done and ready to be picked up. Got picked up in their courtesy pickup/dropoff van and in no time we reached the shop.Matt started getting the papers for me to to sign and drive away and little did i know that he was not going to charge me for this activity even though it had a considerable hour or so of his technicians time spent on it.It was one of the best Fridays after a long time ( any saving is a great saving :) ) and i was left in an awe.So a big big shoutout to Matt, Rick and his team who keep the customer first and as a priority in every job they deliver and thus they are my absolute recommendation to any and everybody in the area (or even if you are from around) to give them a call in case your car is acting up and they would not only fix that for you but with a big smile on their face and would leave you with a bigger one on yours as a customer.Thank you team!!!!
From my very first repair call to MJ/USA/E, to driving off their lot with my car in perfect condition, the entire experience with the employees was friendly, professional, efficient, and they are all so knowledgeable.In addition to being excellent subject matter experts, they offer constant communication about your car through text and email. They also have a shuttle service.The team answered all of my questions, and gave me important information on my car that I wasn’t aware of!I also received my car back in a timely manner at a very reasonable price. It doesn’t get any better than that! I recommend this car repair business without any hesitation.

Matt, the owner, took a special interest in my case. My car had a cracked block, and when he called to tell me about it he was a wonderful combination of sympathetic, competent, and objective. He gave me a good understanding of the value of my car and whether it would be worth it (yes) to repair. This was my first visit and I will be back.
It has now been 11 years, 2 kids and 2 cars later I have still been entrusting Matt and his team to take care of our vehicles and they have consistently delivered outstanding service and value. During that time they have done all types of major and minor services for our Honda, Acura and BMW. I trust them to do the work and do it right. Even if there is an issue, question or concern they do an excellent job of following up. Though our Honda and Acura are relatively low maintenance cars our BMW has at times been our high maintenance problem child. Matt’s team has done a great job of keeping our 2007 BMW in great shape. In fact when my wife’s brother, who is a long time BMW owner and enthusiast, visited he was amazed at how well the car was maintained. The fact that they offer a 36,000 mile/36 month warranty and have a shuttle service really sets them apart from other places. Over the years we have also taken advantage of some of their new services like body work and detailing. Once my wife drove the BMW to Oakland and someone smashed the car with a brick (broken side mirror, broken window and dents). The repair job was outstanding and the car looked showroom new. We have been bringing the cars in every 1-1.5 years to be detailed and they do a great job and I have found the price to be lower than if I went directly to a detail shop. Its great to be able to bring our cars here because its a one stop shop for most of your car maintenance needs. They also have the car maintenance history on a website where you can go and review what was done during past visits. Matt and his staff are very knowledgeable, friendly and just great people. I could not think of taking our cars anyplace else.
I take my Lexus GX470 here for service and the staff is excellent. They always do quality work at reasonable pricing and in good time. The service writers are friendly and accommodating to your needs. Micah is the gentleman who I deal with most commonly and is always happy to help. I trust this place to keep my cars running at their best.
Made in J/U/E did a fine job of servicing my vehicle quickly. They communicated consistently well and were very thorough in their recommendations, yet very “no pressure” when I did not opt for many of them simply due to the age of the vehicle (it would have been cost prohibitive). On that note, they made sure to prioritize their recommendations in triage fashion, which was very helpful.
Fixed a short in my rear window defogger for $150 that Audi wanted to charge me $1,600 to replace the system. Found a problem with my wheel bearings that Audi missed entirely. These guys are very trustworthy.
EXCELLENT! Not only are they a friendly, lively and comical bunch, but they also educate you on what is going on with your vehicle so that you are insightful of the service needed. I never felt like they were taking advantage or just trying to get my business. They were genuine, thorough and delivered fast service. Extra points for the shuttle service too! MIJUSA has been wonderful to me and my JEEP. They have treated me well when entering the shop and very open to communications on status updates. They are wonderful at rescheduling apartments and making sure I am up to date on my oil changes. They have been supportive with rides to and from the shop, and also assistance in a rental car when keeping my vehicle over night. I recommend them for good Customer Service and professional work done on my JEEP
I just picked up my Corolla after a regular service and change of front brake pads. I chatted with Chic (front office) to discuss the service details and needs for some additional work required; Chic is very knowledgeable, courteous, patient, and helped me with the decision of the type of work to be done with this visit. Matt (owner) welcomed me at pick up time with a smile and he ensured I was satisfied with the work and the visit. As much as I dont like spending money on car services and repairs, Made in Japan is an excellent place to get your car repairs with a great experience.

I brought a vehicle in to these guys at Made in Japan that I was looking to purchase for a pre sale check and I cant say enough about how wonderful they were. Micah spent 20 minutes with me explaining what exactly was going on with the vehicle. I took it back to the dealer and explained my concerns. The dealer decided to take it in to a mechanic as well. He stated to me that there tests that were done to the car but I had no idea what he was talking about. So I called Micah back and asked for his advice. He answered all my questions and was an excellent resource to help me with my next step. About a week later, I called the guys back and Matt answered. He remembered me. I told him I wanted to bring it back for further testing. They couldnt take me on my only day off, so Matt offered to pick up the vehicle and bring it in for me. Unfortunately the vehicle sold before we could make this happen but these guys went ABOVE AND BEYOND for me. I live in the North Bay but if I lived closer, I would feel totally confident brining my car into them for anything. Thank you so much guys!!!
A person broke the window to gain entry. Made in Japan fixed it and cleaned out the MDX. We also had the oil change and filter installed. We made it with no problems to Santa Fe. I grew up in the 60s so everything seems high to me. I thought the repair was fast and reasonable to help get us to school on time.
The best auto repair shop that I have ever been in. Very clean, very organized, and very good popcorn. LOL. Every employee their welcomed me there and started helping me with my problem. Very good service including great deals. This is the only auto repair shop that I will every go to. AMAZING!!!!!!!!!
The motor was so broken after Made in USA expensive fixing that we needed to replace it. 130k miles driven Chrysler Town and Country. I think they made it on purpose. Be careful, this place is a scam.
Picture this: youre driving across country, and on day two of your trip, your AC goes out. In the middle of summer. Your route will take you across the desert, which is currently clocking in at a balmy 108 degrees.This was the situation that my fiancee and I found ourselves in when we were driving over Highway 17 on our cross-country trip. I frantically called shops in the SJ area, and who was willing to squeeze us in late in the workday? Made in Japan/USA/Europe was. After making room on their schedule to look at our car quickly, they discovered the problem: a faulty fan speed control assembly, which only runs about $40. But, its a minor part on my older model car, and there were none to be had in the greater bay area.This is where MIJUE went from what can be expected from a mechanic, to what we all dream of from a mechanic: Anthony, along with Matt, called dealers and part resellers for the better part of two hours to find us the right part. After an hour of calls, the best option they found was to get it shipped next day, but as this was late on a Thursday, that really meant we wouldnt have the part till Monday, setting our entire trip back three days. Anthony saw how much this part meant to us, and continued calling around, doing everything in his power to get us what we needed. After more digging, he turned up the exact part we needed at a dealership in Sacramento, bought the part for us to be placed on hold, and if we showed up by 9pm, itd be all ours, on the same day!A tense drive later, we were the proud owners of a factory original fan speed control assembly, and our trip went from disaster to minor setback. And that wouldnt have been possible if Anthony and Matt hadnt gone above and beyond to help us out.

Took my to Made in Japan because the shop I originally took it to told me not to bring it back because there was nothing else they could do.So when I bring my 2014 Hyndai Genesis Coupe R-spec V6 to Made in Japan the took a look at it diagnosed the problem and let me know how long it would take. The only issue was the dealership shipped a part that was already damaged so I had no choice but to wait for another part to arrive. But in the mean time the length me a rental car over the weekend for no charge all I had to do is replace the gas I used.Got my car back and everything is great and no leaks at all. I would recommend Made in Japan to anyone that needs there vehicle worked on or to get it serviced.Thanks Made in Japan for fixing the leak in my vehicle when another shop told me not to bring it back.Bill Hidalgo

Great service, awesome staff behind the counter and I’ve always had a great experience there with my Dads 67 El Camino. My dad did a bit of Frankenstein-ing with that truck, and their mechanic figured it out. A bit of trial and error, but they kept me up to date throughout the process. I trust them with my American and German cars!

Matt and his staff greeted me with smiles and made me feel very comfortable and secure. I gave them $500 to analyze my needs for my car and then another $7,200 to fix everything. Then I took it back and they found another $4,200 worth of damage that they didnt see on the original quote. Basically they screwed me out of $7,000, then tried to get another $4,000. And THEY All I did it all with a smile. I will never use them again

I have had trouble with my A4 for several months and no one has been able to diagnose the problem. My experience with Made In Japan/USA/EUROPE was very gratifying and it looks like the problem has been rectified. It was very reasonably priced and Ralph took exceptional care of me. I know where to take my car from now on when issues like this arise.

Excellent from start to finish! My first interaction with Mika and I let him know that I had a really good idea of what my issues were and that I needed my BMW Climate Control System serviced. He let me know that they had a technician who could do and that he would reach out to him to find out when hed be in next. What I didnt know is that Mika was actually texting their technician while I was on the phone!Good news was that the technician could be in as soon as I could drop the car off! I dropped my car off the next day, they completed the service in a matter of hour and had the car back to me the same day before closing. All for a very reasonable price as well. I will certainly visit them next time I have an issue.

My review for Matt is quite overdue. I was not able to post my review earlier when I had to tow my Volvo (which was my third car and not used much) in to MIJUE to check what was the problem with a bad engine sound. Matt and his team diagnosed the problem that the oil had become gooey and greasy due to the car not being used for quite some time, and they also found out exactly what had failed. His team member explained the various things tried to get to the root of the problem and also to see if any possible ways to fix without a major expense. Being quite technical myself, I was able to understand the issues and complications involved, and made a decision that it was not worthwhile to fix or replace the engine given the age of the car. Overall, I was left with a positive experience of interacting with Matt and his team. They were professional and courteous. Also, if you get to talking to Matt, you will realize that he can see the big picture and give you accurate feedback.
I knew going in, my car repair would be expensive, but I didnt realize how much so. While the pricey repairs were completed, my car still wasnt running correctly. I contacted Matt, the owner, and he says hell make it right. I take it back this Tuesday to see if he makes good on his wordIll adjust my rating accordingly.
Quoted me hundreds of dollars more than a specialist repair shop (and the dealership) for a standard clutch replacement. Service rep was lackluster and left me sitting on the phone in silence for half the conversation without explaining anything. He didnt even say who he was.Make sure you shop around. Dont get ripped off.
Got a phone quote on Monday am, dropped the car Monday evening, got the car back Thursday night. Excellent work, well priced, great customer service. Highly recommended.
Watch out for the Blown Head Gasket Scam. I drove in needing a freeze plug replaced and they ran their diagnostics and told me that I needed new head gaskets and quoted over $2400 for the repair. Their diagnostics was that they sensed hydrocarbons in my exhaust. Dah that is what comprises exhaust.... I had to pay them $180 to get my vehicle out of there.... Went to another shop and paid $100 to have the freeze plug and all the anti-freeze replaced. They laughed when I told them what Made in Japan/USA/Europe had diagnosed.... The vehicle has been running strong ever since...
They make an overall very professional impression at the front desk and are very friendly people and try to get you a good price, but the owner does not seem to stand behind his business. One of the mechanics butchered our over $2K repair and then failed to diagnose his messup. We had to to take them to court (twice) to get money back. Some other problems were not fixed to our satisfaction. got tired of dealing with them. sorry.

I explained to them that I missed a day of work because they promised me they would do it. They said Sorry. If I treated my customers like this, I wouldnt have any.
