Great spot for hangover or late night snack. This is one of the few places on Mass Ave where you can get decent late night food and I got their quesadilla with ground beef. The beef fillings were heavy on salt and the flour tortilla was super greasy and chewy. Under normal circumstances, I wouldnt like this style but it was perfect as a hangover food.
This place is da-bomb. Their rice is super good, chimichangas are deeeeelicious, and they have incredible chipotle sauce. Plus, when I order delivery, theres always a thank you with a heart (: Im pretty much a TexMex connoisseur, so trust my review.
Great food and crazy friendly service. Will go again if back in Mass!
Great place for college students or anyone! Stays open really late and has classic tex-mex fare. Has good student deals and friendly staff.
Chicken quesadilla was delicious, low on the cheese but lots of chicken. Open til late on weekends, perfect after leaving any nearby club, fabrica in my case.
Flavors are ok, burritos are kinda medium small. In think they deserve better than a 4.1 which is what I saw when I wrote this
Honestly, its fine just fine. Food is pretty bland and its kinda pricey for what you get.
One of my favorite places to go for mexican food in the Boston area! I get a little less homesick for Arizona everytime I eat here. Awesome menu, awesome flavors, awesome prices.
Open very late which is good but generally the food is bland and is fairly expensive for a Mexican hole in the wall type place. The hours bump it up to 3 stars as after a half dozen drinks its much better. Lol
Great Mexican food on mass Ave. In Cambridge! Portions are great and they bring the heat 🔥!
This place served us an omelette that had a high water level in the plate. Im guessing it was the water from the canned beans they put on the plate. They also do not have the means to serve coffee to stay, they serve sugar and milk in salsa plastic cups. They also claim the coffee is fresh when in fact it tastes like 4-5 hours old.
Went in on my break today and the burrito was delicious. Definitely will be back.
Great burritos. They include guacamole at no extra charge.
Delicious food and outstanding attention, beantown Taqueria brings the flavor and kindness of Mexican people to your town!
Always a go-to place for Tex-Mex food. Their food is actually pretty authentic, and it is priced very reasonably for the area. I honestly prefer them over the neighboring Naco Taco. Also, these guys have been truly going above and beyond with their cleanliness during COVID.
I had the chicken Burrito and It was tasteless Absolutely one of the worst burritos I have ever tried . Never again
Terrible fish tacos, especially for $20. Definitely not authentic Mexican, very dry and half of the taco was chopped onion. 2 stars because it was edible. Go to el centro. Not sure how to add pictures of these sad tacos or I would.
Great lunch spot- always fast and accurate
Expensive and just okay. Go to Naco instead.- More than $17 for a carne asada plate…- Meat was pretty dry, so I’m guessing it was from the previous day.Next time I’ll go to Naco
Nice steak burrito 🌯
The service was exemplary, but the meats could have been more flavorful
Tasty and consistent. A favorite spot!Huarache is very good.
Way overpriced. An al pastor burrito and a bottle of water was almost $15. The burrito was bland and tasteless, and the pineapple chunks were like styrofoam. Plus the to go order didnt include a plastic fork and knife. So it when I got it back to my desk it was almost impossible to eat without wearing it.How is it possible, even post-covid, to charge $15 for a burrito?
Absolutely ripped off. Asked for 3 tacos, steak, everything on it. The woman kindly asked if I wanted a beantown taco or some other kind. I went with beantown, especially cause it was for 12.99 for 3. So I got that and coke and somehow the math came up to just shy of $20. I was like ok cool I did ask for everything on all of em so maybe I got charged extra here and there for guac or whatever.I get my tacos I got steak and some leafy greens. Thats not everything, thats barely anything. No cheese, no sour cream, no guac...3 barely filled tacos... For $20. Would never recommend or be going back or encouraging the dozens of workers near by to go either. How is 2 things everything?
Nice place. Exquisite Chile relleno. Chicken tacos were also good. I wouldnt say it is the best Mexican restaurant in Boston but you can have a nice satisfying meal there.
Yum yum food go brr
Beantown Taqueria offers nothing new to the crowded taqueria scene. Food is overpriced. I was not impressed with the price tag or the quality of my burrito. Everything was just mushed together in my burrito and the rice was soft slop. They did not have options to add tomatoes, onions, lettuce and made you pay for cheese. Come on, you can afford to put cheese on a burrito for free when youre charging $9.99 for a tiny burrito. I also ordered 2 tacos for $4.50 on an ubereats special. The tacos were good, but I would not pay $9 for 2 tacos.
Great food. Kind people. Also they are helpful toward not wasting food!
Quick service and bomb quesadilla. Cant ask for anything more
The food isnt life changing, but its very good and the staff is great. No matter how specific my order is they get it right every single time. When grubhub flaked on me and the driver never showed up, the staff made a new order and delivered it to me themselves. Great staff, very good food, highly recommend.
Absolutely wonderful place, staff is pleasant even though they are open until 4 am. Solid burritos amongst other things. If you like spicy, this place has real deal spicy. Overall would recommend to anyone.
Friendly a little slow though
I personally really liked this place. They are open until 2 A.M, and their food is actually quite good. My favorite part of the restaurant was the ambience, which felt absolutely incredible. But still, there were some deficiencies with the food itself. While I personally enjoyed it, other members of my party did not support the choice of putting Nacho Cheese on the nachos, as they were 9 dollars. Overall, it was a great place, but not excellent.
The rudest driver ever! Waiting almost 2 hours for my food to arrive, and the driver didn’t even apologize. The food is good but the service is terrible. I doubt I will order from here again.
This place is so good! The burritos are great, and staff is very friendly. They have a good selection of Mexican food in case you dont want to go for burritos, and they are all good. Recommended!
Great spot for a late night dinner. Had some chicken fajitas and they were amazing! Minimal seating but very quick service. You can also take things to go and eat at a local park. So tasty!
Ordered a quesadilla from them and all they did was throw chicken on the tortilla no cheese which l had requested. dont order before they close or even an hour prior your food will be bad.
Love Beantown!!!!!! Due to the corona we’ve only gotten it delivered, but Beantown has given us the freshest Mexican food we’ve had in Boston and we’ll definitely be there when dine-in opens back up! Highly recommend the chicken tinga enchiladas!
I got sick after eating the carnitas Beantown tacos on August 24th in the AM. I experienced vomiting, GI distress, fever and chills. Its August 28 and Im still recovering. Has anyone else had the Beantown carnitas and experienced similar symptoms?
Best burrito in town. Get it spicy you wont regret it.
SO disappointed in my last trip there a few days ago. My enchiladas were the worst ive ever had. So dry and very little sauce. My rice was crunchy and tasted old. Ive been here a bunch of times but that was most likely my last.
Had a burrito at this place. One of the best burritos in Boston for sure. Would recommend this place as there are good quantity of both Vegetarian and non vegetarian options available. Liked the look of the place. One of the to go places in Boston for sure.
4 stars because sometimes orders take a really long time. The food is flavorful, affordable and all around delicious at this no-frills eatery. One of the only real late night spots in Cambridge. You can order online too, which is great..
I just ordered nachos with ground beef, there was no beef in it. I also got a side of rice of beans and there was basically just beans and the rice was super crunchy (western Ave location)
Fish tacos were not good. Bits of fish and tortillas seemed to just come out of the bag. Couldnt order online due to having a Groupon. Prices were actually 3 dollars more per dinner when I called in the order rather than using the site. Brought it to the cashiers attention and she said there was nothing she could do about it. The way I look at it is that someone owes me at least 6 clams for just ok food.
Tacos were flavorless. Chips were unsalted and also flavorless. Guac serving might have been big enough for an ant, but certainly not for a human.
The food that Ive ordered here is super good! This is one of the only restaurants open this area at around 2 in the morning and they never disappoint me. 4 stars because delivery takes a hot minute, but besides that they give good food that Im willing to recommend as a Mexican!
They are great at what they do with absolutely delicious Mexican soul food at a relatively cheap price for Cambridge. Add the fact that theyre open into the middle of the night and you have a real convenient guilty pleasure right at your fingertips.
I ordered for delivery. They didnt give me my full order (nor did they give silverware). When I called, the woman was very rude. She asked if she could put the phone down to attend to a customer really quickly and I said that was fine. It was not just one person. It was 20 minutes worth of orders and she ignored me the entire time. 20 minutes in, she hung up on me without ever once responding to my words. I called back four times after that. 3 times she answered and hung up again. Then she didnt pick up. All I wanted was the rest of my order.
Very good food and pleasant staff! The quantity for the small burrito is good! Will come back
NASTY! I got spoiled food inside my burrito! WTH! On top of there being a spoiled item of food inside my burrito, there was so little meat you can count the amount of small pieces you get. Truly disappointed. I am not one to leave reviews, but when you get spoiled food!!! Y’all should check your food labels and THROW OUT FOOD THAT IS EXPIRED!
Every time we have visited we have had good size portions of quality food at good prices. They have pozole on the menu which weve seen on only 1 or 2 other local restaurants. Its a classic Mexican dish going back centuries, a chicken and hominy corn soup served with chips, lime, oregano, cilantro and onion on the side, so that you can season to taste.
Ordered a burrito for $5 through food for all and it didn’t disappoint. Great taste and size! I’d be back!
Im hungry. Its 2am. Most reasonable people have gone to sleep I have a deep need for something, anything to fill my stomach.I could get snacks at a convenience store, but I want to treat myself. I go to Beantown. I get a big enough burrito that I cant finish it all in one sitting. I have enough left over of the twenty I broke for the coffee Ill need in the morning. This place is a lifesaver, and I hope it stays around for a long, long time.
Local, fresh and authentic. Its not big and the line gets long but service is fast. Great place for a quick enchilada or burrito. Wide variety of options including vegetarian.
Courteous service. Good portions. Vegetarian medium spicy burrito makes for a good lunch.
Really good food, fast service and very friendly staff
Best burritos in Boston area. Hands down. After living in San Diego for years, I was craving an even decent burrito. People recommended Annas, and that was not what I wanted. Beantown hit the spot and is the closest to San Diego quality burrito Ive found here.
Good food, great customer service friendly atmosphere, good late night food once the bars start closing. The prices are not that bad
Very good spicy chicken and shredded beef burritos.
Authentic food, tastes like your grandma made it with all that extra love ♡
Had the bean town tacos. Loved them! I thought it was great, authentic homemade food for a good price. Very good selection of food for breakfast or lunch and very friendly. A good alternative for the pricier Naco Taco around the corner. I had to take off one star because they keep getting my order wrong :(
Great food!
Unpretentious food cooked well. Best place open late near MIT.
I am from Cali and it tastes like home. Great staff and potent grub. Have always felt satisfied when I went, and their delivery is great as well
The only reason I would go to this place is because supply is limited at 2am. The food quality is poor for the price. I ate low quality nachos for $12. Would not go there if I had other options.
This place is amazing. I have never been disappointed. In fact, we went back twice in one night.
Very small place for quick bites.Been there because I had a groupon cash back.Nice food for decent pricing.
Most of the food was decent but the salad wasnt that fresh. I found quite a lot of old greens in it, but the quesadilla and burrito was awesome and the meats were seasoned extremely well
Tasty authentic burritos, great for a quick bite to go. Carnitas burrito is my go-to and very good.
Loveeeeeee this place. Music can be extremely loud and you yell your order but it has served as great comfort food in times of being unbelievably exhausted from work and school.
They describe themselves as Mexican comfort food, and that is accurate. Its not super amazing, but pretty tasty and reasonably priced. Very popular place among MIT students.
I ordered for a veggie takeout, it was hands down the worst lunch ever from this place. I go there every once a while. And sometimes, their food is very delicious but always small portions. Today I specifically told them that the portion were too less for large size. And I was in for a disappointment. They have lost a customer.
Wonderful food, even better staff, thank you Fernanda ! Best wishes B :)
Visiting from NY. Amazing food and fantastic service. Best quesadilla Ive ever had!!!! Next time were in town well be back!!!
This place has really great classic Mexican and TexMex food. Its the best place in the area to go late at night, and during the lunch rush they are surprisingly fast.
The food tastes like real Mexican but its served in an American fashion. For example Huarache is meant to be big with few meat but here it is like a tower of meat and lettuce on the smallest Huarache Ive ever seen. Overpriced and under the average. The worst Huarache and the most expensive Ive Buy in my life. Good flavor for the meat.
Best late night tacos, and open the latest as well. A lot of choices here between the different styles of burritos, tacos, enchiladas as well as the fillings. Big bowl of candy as well if youre into that. Open really late so get here after the bars before everyone else does.
For authentic Mexican restaurant, the food didnt have any flavor and the beans were dry
I was drunk and dying, They saved me with the best burrito Ive ever had. Not so much a town as it is a paradise
They suck.... Simply put. I have given them chance after chance and they just dont understand what I want. As a vegetarian,a veggie burrito extra hot with black beans cant be hard to make. One time I got home and found chicken inside it; another time it had 0 veggies and the third time they put steak in it. Its not what you want to deal with when you get take out after a long day of work and discover your food is f&%ked and not edible once you get home. Go to McDonalds, as gross as it is....youll be better of.
Breakfast or regular burritos are bomb💥💣 Tacos are delicious also.....A must if youre around
I placed an order and added enough other items to bring my order above the minimum for delivery. The driver delivers only half of my order. I called the restaurant to fix my order, but they leave me the phone off the hook, and keep me waiting for 10 mins. I eventually believe they forgot so I call back. A busy tone is present for several minutes after I call. For a mandatory delivery fee and a minimum delivery order the restaurant provides incredibly poor service.Edit: The restaurant redelivered my order! Great stuff :]
Good local small place right off Mass Ave in Cambridge
Passable mexican food in a small space. Big portions but low on authentic flavor. Biggest breakfast burrito Ive ever seen. Its better than qdoba/chipotle but not great. Go to Eastie/Waltham for real mexican food.
Fast delivery, even on a Sat. night. The portions are good, filling, & affordable. Also, not overloaded with cilantro. Absolutely going back!
Very tasty and authentic food! The best food🤩🥳🥰😎
