We are so very lucky to have a homegrown business in our small town. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and takes the time to figure out exactly what you’re looking for without making you feel pressured into buying something you don’t need. The showroom is always spotless, littered only with hand sanitizer which is a very nice touch in these crazy times we’re all experiencing. This same professional yet, personal approach follows through upon installation. Very quick, kind and comfortable. Masks are worn throughout installation which makes us all feel better when we may be wary of having outsiders in our homes. As most locals, we’ve grown up with our families buying all of our appliances from R. Brooks & Son decade after decade. This review is for the newcomers to the area that may not know they don’t need to shop at a large box company. In fact, you just plain shouldn’t. There is a reason these guys have been in business so long. It’s simply because they care.

After shopping the area and on-line, their expertise, price, installation and care for the customer were all 5 star. The units fit as they predicted which was a major concern of mine. Receptionist very curt and said Im sorry we only service appliances we sell. I asked why they were listed as a service provider on the frigidaire website and she said not my problem. This type of customer service makes you run from this place. Businesses like this never think as if my machine was beyond repair I may have considered buying a new one from them. Anyway I have a repair company on the way. LOL!

I visited the store on Monday and purchased a basic fridge with ice maker. Sales person was friendly and efficient. Told me delivery next day, installation would be 40.00, after I explained where the water pipe was. I even drilled the hole. Easy access. Delivery was right on time. Installer then informed me it would be an additional 80.00 to get water to the ice maker. This was not mentioned at the store. When I mentioned that was excessive and I might not want to do it, delivery guy got a little testy and said no problem, will take it back. Very unprofessional attitude. I realize just a kid. When I mentioned I needed 3 more appliances and sure liked their store, he went out to the truck and called. Talked to some woman at the store who said the 40.00 was just for bringing it in the house. They agreed to 20.00 extra hook up. Timed him and it took 11 minutes (wanted 80.00). Sidekick was not as rude. Still willing to purchase stove, w/d, etc later, but will not pay the installation if they want my business and will prefer a different delivery guy. Lets see, have already spread this story around the hood.
