Horrible company. Paid 600 dollars to replace a 1-5th carat diamond and took over to months tonget it fixed. Dont kbow how they are still on service.

I had bought my girlfriend a necklace the day before Xmas eve. After I left Kay I did some more shopping. At some point my purchase was either lost or stolen. After retracing my steps I gave up hope and returned to Kay to buy another necklace. I got there right before they closed and told them what had happened and was helped by an employee named Amanda. Now I work in the service industry and I’m amazed at how helpful she was. Not only was she EXTREMELY knowledgeable in helping me pick out a new necklace, She took down all my info so she could have mall security check the cameras to see if my original purchase could be found. She also got me the best price possible on a new necklace. She was so helpful that I can’t even list every way she came up in the clutch.The thing I appreciate the most is that they were in the process of closing so I expected everyone to be annoyed I was there but everyone (especially Amanda) went above and beyond. I never write reviews but Amanda went above and beyond to help me out when she could of just told me to come back tomorrow .Thank you Amanda! If I could give more stars I would. You definitely saved my Christmas!!
Angelica is such a sweet girl. I met her at the bus stop in Malden she is so eloquent with her words. I expressed how my wedding ring hasnt been cleaned in years and she refereed me to Kay jewelers in the mall here. I have barely left my house since my husband passed and it was a bit emotional for me when she mentioned my ring. Angelica I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the conversation we had. Everything you said to me was absolutely true. No one has spoken to me so boldly like that since my husband passed. I will be seeing you soon I think its time to buy a new piece of jewelry. Its time to start living again. I had to write a review about you this was the least I could do. I will also be sending you my daughters information she is going to be married next year and I want you to be the one to provide the jewelry. Angelica was so very helpful yesterday I was looking for something nice for my wife she was patient with me and took her time. I didnt feel rushed or pressured to buy anything. She expressed it was her first day and she didnt know to much about the Jewelry and she was still learning.I was very impressed with her customer service. She is an amazing asset to your store. So full of energy she makes the store feel warm and pleasant. I have shopped here before and vowed never to return. I had a bad experience once before. I noticed there are all new people working here now.I got a chance to meet the Manager Jean he is also a great choice for this location. It was good to see some quality people finally at the jewelry counter. Although I didnt buy anything last night I am going to be shopping at Kays more often There is a way better staff than before.Thank you Angelica for drawing me back to the store with that bright personality of yours. Jean G (store manager) was amazing in helping me select the perfect ring for my fiancé. He proactively educated me and gave me all the information I needed. He guided me every step of the way, for weeks! My fiance loved her ring & I Want to give a huge shout out to Jean because he gave me confidence, comfort and ease to select the correct ring. I felt so wonderful talking to Jean. Everyone should go see him if they plan to propose!!!
They have new management and they are great! The store manager Jean is super friendly and easy to talk to. He goes above and beyond, he has truly turned this store around.
The people at this store are completely incompetent and don’t pick up or return your calls. I was told that I would have a Custom necklace made for my wife deliver by Valentine’s Day. Well Valentine’s Day has come and gone and I have no necklace and no one can tell me when it will arrive. Go else where for your jewelry!

Gladly handed out $350 worth of goods to a non English speaking customer with my stolen out of town debit card, using credit, unsigned. My name does not remotely sound Spanish, and the thief opted to not use debit. Check the ID if its not signed please. Pretty sure thats the correct legal process. Use your head and know the rules.
Every time I go in to Kays, I get great customer service, they will order anything I want, when it comes in they call me right away! Love that they have a wish list, makes it so much easier for people to buy there love ones what they really want!
Cambridge had such a welcoming environment, Irvan being a younger employee, He really made you feel heard and had many suggestions when I was looking at a new necklace. I’m happy with my purchase and personally will be back

I dropped my locket this morning and it would no longer close. I went to Kays to get it fixed a few hours later. I was worried they would have to send it away, but they fixed it in the store in under a minute! Great customer service! Thank you for the quick fix!
I was tricked into opening a credit card with them, while was told that I was opening an account with them. I was immediately approved through a iPad application. I believe the salespersons name was Lauren. She was pushy to lock the sale. I do not trust this type of Sales approach - made me feel like I was being fooled into a purchase. Review the store before going in, I was lured into it while looking for wedding bands.
This place sucks! The employee Tara and everyone else that works there is a damn liar. I am so heartbroken that my ring is not the way I want it weeks before my engagement photos. I had my ring changed to rose gold which took a MONTH. Whatever right? They told me that I would get pictures emailed to me on what my ring looked like. Never did. Called twice and was either ignored or lied to. My ring finally comes in and coincidentally receive a picture text the same day. The band was SO MUCH thicker. It was not knife edge like i had specifically asked for . I pointed it out since the jewelers there are just stupid and can’t tell the difference. I was very discouraged and all I got was “it’ll take 6 weeks to change back and an ADDITIONAL 600$ !!!!! And somehow it is my fault for the miscommunication. I look at my ring now and don’t even see my amazing fiancé in it anymore.

Dont buy anything from here people, please, these jerks are frauds, Im so heartbroken that I spent hours picking my ring, ordered it and then went to pick it up, it looked fake/different than the original. I googled Kay Jewelers fraud and found out that my gut feeling was right. Idk how Kay Jewelers has been getting away with being frauds for so long.
I would give them half a star but I cant. I purchased a new setting for my ring and they were supposed to just put the stone on it, but they gave me a different ring 2 times, didnt care about what I purchased or the size it was supposed to be, the made whatever they wanted. I was ok with it the first and second time, but the 3rd time it was just too much. I called Customer service, but they just pretend to work on it for 2 weeks, said they will call me when they decide if I get a refund..but never did. I was treated like a fool and even the district manager didnt care enough to communicate a decision. It is by far the worst experience Ive ever had. My engagement ring has been with the store for 2 months now. Not to mention that the stone gets craved every time they take it out and place it into a different ring. Dont buy from them if you really want to be treated nicely and get your moneys worth.

I have never experienced such poor customer service. I was looking to purchase an expensive lifetime item, and initially the employee Lauren was phenomenal, until i had to work with the store manager. This guy is not a salesman, did not make me feel comfortable, and treated me as if i was buying a suit that will be replaced in a couple of years. They promised me pictures of my custom item within 10 days, that didnt happen, i had to call them on day 13 to get an update. They then told me i was going to get the pictures in another 10 days after that. 10 more days past and still nothing, this is now day 26 when i call back to ask for the pictures again. On day 27 i finally receive the pictures, i asked for a few changes, which they then wanted to charge me a significant amount for a small change that they promised me i was going to be able to do when i first entered the store, stating: With us, you can get it custom made, and when you see the 3-D pictures and MOLD (hold this thought), we can edit it however you like. Never was i told there would be an extra charge. W.e right? So i then ask to see the 3-D mold, which they then say that if we print out a 3-D mold, it will take another 2-3 weeks and it wont be ready by the time I needed it. At this point i am highly frustrated. The only reason why i went with this store is because i had 2 months and a half to get what i needed. They waste 1 month on b.s. This is when i lost all my trust in this company. You tell me that i will receive pictures and a 3-D mold, that dint happen. You told me i was going to be able to modify my item, welp turns out theres an extra charge for that.I then go back to the store with the intention of just cancelling the order, and just going somewhere else. The store manager had the nerve to argue with me infront of customers, saying that they will charge me for the first pictures. This was never part of the initial conversation. He then tells me that IF HE CAN CHARGE ME MORE HE WOULD, and stormed off to the backroom.I honestly felt bad for the team that was helping me. They tried their best to make me stay, but the store manager was just an A-hole. I was on the verge of saying F-it, just make the item and im sure we will be happy with the finished product, but then yet again here comes the store manager with a smug and nasty attitude stating that if he could charge me more he would.No way i was going to pay for something that they failed on. I called Key Jewlers customer service and explained exactly what happened, they mentioned that if a customer is not satisfied with the pictures, a full refund will be given. Key Jewlers customer service called the store while i was there and schooled the store manager. 5 minutes later he calmly calls me up and gives me a full refund...Worst place ive been to. Dont buy there. If you do, record all your conversation or write the notes infront of them, because they seem to have amnesia when it comes to details.Again, my only problem was with the Store Manager who could not control his emotions, and who tried to swindle me out of money for their screw up.
Customer service is really bad, I have been taking my engagement ring for inspection ever since I got it and once we were trying to trade it in for a different one. The lady says that the diamond has a cracked inside of it & if I dont have the paper work for my inspection they wont fix, but then everytime i took the paper they did not put anything in it & told me I was good. So unfair because we have pay so much money for the ring & now that I wanna fix it. They want to see the paper for inspection, but one every wrote anything on the paper.
Kay in Cambridge Side is the worst customer service ever!!! The lady, with long red hair, is absolutely rude and has no sense of any politeness or how to treat any customer. I went with my husband and kids yesterday and frankly it’s gonna be our last time.I just can’t believe how this person got hired!!!!!

I had a very horrible experience with Kay. If Id had known I wouldve just bought a wedding band online and save myself the stress and hassle in dealing with their unprofessional employees (including the manager). Zero star is the right rating for the branch in South Shore Mall.Our wedding was held out of state and they told us it will be ready before we fly out so we bought it. They didnt have my size so they have to send it somewhere to have it resized. My husband got his ring right then and there. Anyway, I called them the day it was supposed to be ready and they just flat out told me that they dont have it yet. No apologies. The employee handed the phone over to the manager and the manager asked me to look at the receipt for the promised date that was written on there. Low and behold, the date that the employee wrote is a week after we were to fly out. I told him that was not what my husband and I agreed with the employee. I clearly told the employee 3x!!!! as to what date we have to pick it up just to be sure and she said they can do it. I guess I was stupid coz I didnt check the receipt. I think the employee knowingly put on the wrong date though she was not sure it will be ready by then-probably just to get commission.When we went there after the wedding to confront them, the employee flat out lied to us saying she didnt promise the ring on the said date we wanted it. She blamed it on the weather blah blah blah. I was furious with the manager because he did not even want to hear our side. He just took the employees word. I shouldve known right from the start that the employee who handled us was very incapable coz she doesnt know anything about the rings-sizes etc. She processed a refund for both rings instead of just mine so the company had to call my husband and ask him to go to the store again and straighten it out. This just shows how incapable she is of her task at hand. When my husband went back, everyone including the manager was all very nice and polite. They probably know it was their fault. I wish I can undo going to Kays. Oh well lesson learned. Please think a 100x before you purchase something from them. Good thing I have an eternity ring from my Mom and we just used that during the ceremony.
I can honestly say that this Kays location has very poor customer service. My fiance purchased my engagment ring at the Saugus location but Cambridge is closer to our home so I brought my ring there to be sized. They told me after 2 weeks i would recieve an email. I stated that I would perfer a phone call and was told that it was no problem. Not only did I not get a phone call but I never recieved an email either. I called to follow up because I was excited to have my ring back after 2 weeks and the man who answered the phone was useless. He actually stated well the email probably went to your spam...not an apology...not an answer a customer wants to hear. When I stopped in the store last night to pick up my ring and asked the very simple question of why did I not recieve a phone call when I specificly asked on multiple occasions the girl did not have an answer. She just made excuses and kept saying that I should have recieved an email. She also did not apologize or have an answer. Awesome right? So now I was just annoyed and ready to leave when the man who I had spoken with on the phone prior to coming in to get my ring came over and dropped this line: You have a pretty smile-why dont you use it...I am sorry but what??!! I dont think that I am at a used car dealership and that is not how to respond to a customer who is clearly upset. Not wanting to make a scene I blew him off...took my ring and made an exit. For the amount if nice jewlery stores there are in the Boston area I would definately skip Kays at the Cambridgeside Galleria because the staff appears unprofessional and not customer service freindly at all. We will be buying our bands at the Saugus location.

The workers there are not customer friendly at all. No greeting of customers etc. Basically yo have to approach the workers for help than the other way round. Whats the point of going to work if you dont want to be there?
