Lovely neighborhood “third space” coffeeshop with high quality espresso drinks and delicious Belgium waffle. Great spot to sit and read/study/people watch.

I liked the online ordering system, especially during COVID. The espresso is delicious. The mocha was pretty good as well. Curio Coffee is definitely one of the better cafés in the area. Highly recommended. The waffles were pretty good. It was a little to sweet for my liking, but definitely worth trying if you’re into sweets for breakfast.

Ordered a Liège waffle with an iced espresso. The waffle was amazing and the coffee tasted great too. I can’t wait to have their apple cider waffle which usually is available in October. The patio is now open. Hoping to come here one evening after work to check out their wine selection!

Please do not go here - very unpleasant service. Not for people who want to have a good experience enjoying coffee.

Very mixed feelings. i got an iced mocha, and the FLAVOR was amazing, the espresso was fantastic and pretty decently chocolately. however, it had a really weird crunchy/not smooth TEXTURE due to the stone ground chocolate they use for the mocha, almost feels as if there were espresso grounds in the drink (see the picture and response from owner (thank you!)). but it was just pretty unpleasant chewing these tiny grounds of chocolate in every sip... also just a disclaimer for anyone who drinks decaf, tried to get one for my friend and NO DECAF.

I have spent a significant portion of my disposable income at Curio and I do not regret it in the slightest. The waffle is incredible and the coffee is some of the best in the city. Forget the Freedom Trail, Curio should be on everyone’s “must-visit” list in Boston.

Staff and Owner are all incredible people! Down to earth, kind and honest. I personally have never tasted Waffles like Curios. They are so good you can add syrup but its definitely not a necessity. I always eat them right out of the bag. They melt in your mouth and the pearl sugar is baked into waffles!!! Their coffee is seriously delicious. Im a boring coffee drinker so I only get iced and the Waffles but they have a lot of options in the coffee family! Im lucky enough to live near by. For everyone not as lucky, believe me its worth the trip!They also do a wine night! Last time I was there they where only doing take-out. That was about a week ago. They may have since reopened their sitting areainside.

I really dig this place. Cool coffee shop during the day and an unpretentious natural wine bar by night. The wines are really approachable, which many natural wines may not be, and just yummy. Its also a rotating list, so might want to have a couple glasses if you really like one. For the non wine drinkers, they have some good local beers too. The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable. Food is not your conventional wine bar menu, but I think that makes it even more appealing, and everything goes really well with the wines. When I went they happened to be serving a super tasty (and affordable) lobster roll! There was also a grilled cheese on the menu that hit the spot.PS: Even though theyre a coffee shop during the day, they only do wine at night

Very delicious waffles, served the classic way held by hand in paper, and staff seemed friendly and competent. My almond milk steamer was delicious too. Wed come back, but maybe not to stay, as the place seems a little small and cramped - and is definitely popular! But definitely go try a waffle- friendlier and cheaper place than Zinnekins for comparable quality.

Restaurant is not Dine-in.I previously went to this shop before the pandemic and had a good experience. Today, Aug. 16, 2021, I was going to be in the area, so I looked up this listing on google maps to make sure Curio is open on Mondays, etc. It said it was open for Dine-In. I showed up prepared to walk inside, order, pay, and take my order ToGo. They were not allowing costumers to go inside the restaurant. Nbd, I was going to take my order ToGo anyway. Then, the barista informed me that I had to order ahead, online. Aint nobody got time for that. They had outdoor seating but, in my mind, Dine-in means you order and pay onsite. When you have to order ahead, thats Take-out. I also think its a little ridiculous that the only food they serve is waffles.Edit: I see the restaurant changed the listing.I tried to suggest an edit for the listing, but apparently google doesnt allow costumers to edit Dine-in vs. Take-out

Waffles are pretty tasty, but somehow crystalized. Tastes good but definitely a lot of sugar. Never tried the coffee.

This is the best cup cappuccino Ive had. The word best gets thrown around a lot in reviews but I actively searching for really good cappuccino in whatever city Im in and I think the place is definitely worth going out of your way for. The waffle wasnt that good though.

Cozy coffee shop with delicious espresso drinks. Didn’t get a chance to try the waffles but the offered their standard waffle and a seasonal waffle. This time it was a Thanksgiving stuffing waffle. OnlyComplaint was this is a pretty small space. If you were hoping to sit and enjoy your coffee you may be a bit limited on weekend mornings.

Great coffee and piping hot street waffles fresh off the iron. I had the mocha made with Taza Chocolate (from Somerville) and was very pleased. Already looking forward to the next visit!

Great coffee and I love the pearl sugar waffles! The pearl sugar adds a nice crunch to the waffles, they’re definitely a decadent treat. Curio Coffee has also been doing an incredible job with covid safety so be sure to order online before you go (or once you arrive, it only takes a few min to get the coffee) as you can’t order at their counter or go inside.

This place makes great coffee and delicious waffles. The waffles are always warm right out of the oven and theres crispy sugar chunks in the batter. I highly recommend the coffee and food, but there isnt always a place to sit.

I had gone a casual 18 months without drinking coffee or even any caffeine. One day while working from home I decided to just grab one coffee. Cue me walking to Curio, and spiraling back into life needing coffee. Delicious coffee and very friendly people. Sidewalk pickup (while not ideal) is a great option given the current environment.

Oh the waffles... They rarely have the cider ones, but even the regular waffle is delicious, a great fit for your morning coffee. Unfortunately the place is somewhat small so you may not always find a seat.

Curio is the best. I live in the area and go Curio every weekend. Great Coffee, delicious waffles and the people there are awesome -- so friendly, and kind. Honestly, Curio on a Saturday morning makes my weekend.

Curio is the best coffee in the neighborhood and have been since they opened. The vibe is great, the waffles are great, but the real reason to go is the fantastic baristas. They mostly serve counter culture (but sometimes do Broadsheet!) and usually have a blend and a single origin going for espresso. The wine nights are fun too, if youre into natural wine!

Service was incredible, and the pumpkin cheesecake waffle was delicious. I got a chai latte and it didnt have that much flavor, but still a nice warm drink on a cold day. This is a great little coffee shop that I will have to head back to at some point.

Great espresso, and the liege waffles (with little chunks of sugar baked in) serve as the perfect dessert pairing. No pour over or super elaborate drinks, but they are really good at espresso. Also a nice place to work if they have space.

Can I give them 100 stars because they deserve it! Hard working, passionate couple who delivers great customer service and scrumptious yes I said it WAFFLES!! Not just any waffles but it has a syrup cooked on it so its light and a little sticky!! Try it with their Earl Grey tea... you will thank me!

Excellent coffee AND fresh, hot liege waffles. The waffles have rotating specials without much choice. But really, what more could you ask for? The coffee shop is small with about 7 tables around the coffee counter, though it felt spacious enough for a conversation even when nearly full and buzzing.

Its just coffee (and tea) and waffles. One kind of waffle. One size. No choices. But thats actually an excellent thing, because they have chosen one delicious waffle to serve everyone to accompany their coffee. Its a great way to start your day, I highly recommend it!

Curio provides artisanal coffee & waffle by day, organic wine and comfort nighttime food (hot dogs, grilled cheese sandwich etc.) by night. My friend and I stopped by to try their natural wine at 9pm and stayed till 10:30pm - it’s a perfect place to catch up with old friends or just chat with the owner to learn more wines. Highly recommended.

Good coffee but too many early morning diesel vehicles on my walk there. Heard owner describing some wild new age fermented beverages they offer later in the day when they transition over to a wine bar.

Absolutely fantastic drip, and they pulled the rwandan espresso about 5 or 6 times until they felt like it was good enough to give me. Absolutely fantastic service and staff. The liege waffle with ricotta and pistachio was also heavenly. Best coffee in the area, hands down.

I grew up a block away. On Sundays I visit my grandparents. Aside from Dunkin’ Donuts, this is about the only coffee they like. The prices are still reasonable (though not “cheap”), the waffles are great, and the staff friendly. Some of the best drip coffee around.

The espresso drinks are all excellent. More importantly, you ought to get a waffle. Just once. You won’t regret it. You know you want one. It’s made fresh and will take three minutes. See, that’s not even that bad.

Top-notch coffee and espresso-based drinks on a simple menu. They limit food to just a Liege waffle, served in a sleeve for easy eating, and it is delicious. Relaxed vibe and friendly service in a small, plant- and sun- soaked space. Recommend arriving early or late in the day to snag a seat, though seat availability does circle throughout the day. Otherwise, everything is available to-go.

This is one of my favorite places in the world. The waffles are the best thing ever! And the coffee is great too.

Curio Cafe is a lovely romantic nook in the beating heart of East Cambridge. A new small business that perfectly integrates among the existing, historic venues. I am giving it 4 stars because of the opening hours - hoping it will become a 5 stars.They serve few things, but very good ones; like their Belgian waffle - a true delicacy. I simply wish I could enjoy one for dessert, after dinner.Needless to say; their coffee is delicious. Quality over quantity must be their motto!This is the only cafeteria (that I know of) that had the great idea of re-purposing a tall counter for customers, like me, who like to order espresso but dont need to sit at a table, still would like the comfort of enjoying their beverage in a comfortable hurry - for a true coffee break, the Italian way!Staff is friendly and kind.I suggest trying to spend some time here, specially if you are a regular at the local laundromat. This is a much better place where to wait for your laundry to be clean.

A great little coffee shop with a hip vibe to it; the staff was very friendly and down to earth and their iced coffee was better than your average coffee shop. Definitely worth checking out, I know I will be back to sample more of their menu.

Nice vibe, any place with a La Marzocco machine should be taken seriously. The cinnamon waffles were lovely, just am convinced that the espresso could have been better, it was for me a bit bitter. I assume the grind setting is the culprit in this, therefore 3 stars.

Great addition to the neighborhood, since there really isn’t another quality-focused coffee shop in the immediate area. My only complaint is that they don’t offer Splenda or other sweeteners. I don’t like sugar in my coffee for caloric and taste reasons so that keeps me from coming here more often. The waffles smell good but haven’t tried them.

The waffles and coffee here live up to the hype. Got the plain liege waffle, it was piping hot and fluffy with a crisp exterior. Seating is a little limited, but definitely worth coming in.

Best darn Liege Waffle ever! Came in on a whim, but when I saw they offered Liege waffles, I had to give it a try. Twice as good as the Liege waffles youll find at Blue Bottle coffee in NYC/San Fran. And believe you me, Blue Bottle makes great waffles.

Curio is a solid coffee place thats located off the beaten path thats worth visiting. My lattes have a good consistency, the waffles are a nice differentiating quality, the service is always friendly and the pricing is fine. I would definitely recommend stopping by if you are in the hood.
