Stopped by to grab a bit; while visiting Boston. Not entirely certain what was in the Popover I choose to eat. Nonetheless, I do remember it being delicious. The restaurant itself had a cool rustic feel with a nice big wooden table and chairs in the sitting area. The entire facility was very clean; including the bathrooms. The staff was very active and friendly; as I was immediately greeted upon entering. Very helpful with choosing something that was vegetarian friendly.Only wish they had a more options for us vegetarian/vegans.
Ordered the popover breakfast sandwich, which was some really interesting and delicious bread (which I later learned to be called the popover) sandwiching a variety of ingredients and some white sauce which kind of tasted like ranch.Overall, a really good combination.I ended up staying at this Clover for several hours getting work done with their WiFi. They only have a few power outlets. It gets crowded during lunch rush but otherwise theres usually no line.
Awesome place with inventive food items, hence the formal name: Clover Food Lab. I get breakfast here at least once a week using the order ahead app. Order leaving the commuter train, and its ready when I walk in. Opted today for the French breakfast sandwich (pictured). Awesome. Love the carrot sandwich for lunch. Many items are seasonally available. Staff is always super friendly. The in-front-of-counter genius bar like ordering is unique. The geniuses are obviously passionate about the food and take time to explain the menu items. Clover makes eating healthy fun.
I celebrated my PhD yesterday in this great restaurant. I am glad to say that it was a wonderful evening and the restaurant was undoubtedly one of the reasons for the outstanding meeting. The team contributed in a lovely style, the meals were extremely good and my guests were very happy. We shall definitely visit again for more celebrations. Thank you very much.
I simply enjoy their dishes. I always get awesome service here. The place is well kept and the staff members are always super nice. Will come back again.
It is nice that there are good veggie options here, but the menu is a little nonsensical. I tried the Just Egg sandwich (it is pretty good btw). It comes with cheese, and you can ask for it without if youre vegan, but there is no substitute. There is also a Impossible Sausage, egg and cheese sandwich. So the sausage is fake, but the egg and cheese are not. I dont understand why real/substitutes are being mixed. For $9, I dont see the value in a sandwich where you cant have the whole thing and there arent substitutes.
This place has its own food understanding and of you dont like to experiment its not the place to for you. Good amount of choices for different tastes. More or less healthy food considering this is marked as a fast food. Definitely one of tick box locations for gourmets.
Cheap food, mmm, very satisfying. Great spot for an appetite of any size. Really nothing but great experiences here, so I will be back.
I happened to just walk into this place for breakfast to try something different. I wasn’t familiar with their menu so a worker helped me choose something for breakfast. I had the cold oatmeal with peanut butter and banana along with a blueberry/ carrot muffin. Both were tasty and the oatmeal was filling. Plenty of vegan/vegetarian options which is great since I do not eat meat (aside from fish). I will definitely go again
Clover is committed to high-quality ingredients and delicious healthy food. Everyone who works there is enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the menu items. Really appreciate the free bubbly water and compostable wrappers, containers and cups. It feels good to go to Clover!
While the Chickpea Fritter may be the #1 sandwich, (Fancy name for Falafel) the real joy in Clover is their season vegetable sandwiches. To name a few great ones: Hungarian Beet, Seaweed Tomato, Shiitake Mushroom (tastes like Chicken), The Pushpir (Indian style seasoning). Also, this location is the CEOs corporate office so you may run into the him doing work in the transparent conference room and you can pass along feedback directly to management on how they are doing.
Special for sandwich variations and American foods. Customers like to have an authentic food taste here. These foods are extremely amazing. Some of their popular dishes are Chickpea Fritter Sandwich, BBQ Seitan Sandwich, Carrot Sandwich etc.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE that Clover is one of the few places in all of Boston that offers a vegan egg alternative sandwich. And the fact that it is a vegetarian place to eat anyways. Not that you would eat this for nutrition value but to not exclude people from catered business meetings (for example). Great option for the trending vegan movement. Also the vegan blubbery carrot muffin is to die for! So flavorful and delicious with crunchy baked oats on top, highly recommend it.
This place is worth a try. They serve big portions for reasonable rates. Consistently well kept and with good atmosphere. Will visit here again.
Ive eaten at Clover twice now, once each time Ive been to Boston, and had an amazing experience both times. The first time was around a year ago; I went to the one in Cambridge I think. I was looking for some food at about 9:30 in the night and stumbled across Clover. As a vegetarian myself, I was happy to have found a place that was basically all vegetarian, and ordered the Pushpir sandwich, and it was amazing. Also, some guy came out and gave us free muffins. Those were insanely good too; its hard to find muffins that arent super sweet, but these nailed it.Fast forward to now, and I was again in Boston. I went to this location, remembering my past visit, and wasnt disappointed at all. I had The Sharan, and it was also amazing, managing to be really fresh and really savory at the same time. I also had their apple lemonade. Clover seem to be the masters of making sweet things less sweet but still as good in taste, if not better. Ill definitely come here at least once every time Im in Boston.EDIT: Forgot to mention that by the time I came for the second time, I had gone vegan, and was pleased to see how many of their dishes were vegan.
Clover is easily the best fast food spot in the Boston area. Almost everything is seasonal and its all delicious. I just wish they were all open 24/7 and existed everywhere.
This place is phenomenal. Even if youre just in Boston for a day or two, dont miss out on these epic eats. Friendly staff, too!
Went in for some fries. Ordered during lunch time. Friendly staff. Made it super quick and easy to order. They said because they make the fries there that it might take a bit longer. But I waited for maybe 5 minutes tops. Wonderful flavor! Cant wait to go back.
Exceptional and tasty food, I loved the atmosphere this spot has, and the cashiers were welcoming. I will definitely visit here next time.
My fav spot for delicious Cheap food. Nice location to meet with family. The service was very helpful and welcoming. The bill was average for the menu. Food is like a restaurant in Jacksonville I loved.
Would for sure recommend! I suffer with auto immune issues so I usually feel unwell after I eat. I felt great after eating here and full of energy! Not only was it delicious, but it made me feel great! I got the Chickpea fritter sandwich (which I was unsure about when ordering) and it was fabulous. Great food, price, quality, and service!
The foods and drinks is delicious! And theres a bag of Vegetable to take home if you want and no its not free lol but its fresh. Go see for yourself!
Banana Macadamia nut milk was very good. Great spot for soup and sandwiches and healthy. Staff is knowledgeable in the product they sell. Thanks to Marquis who took my order.
Best “fast casual” veg-friendly place I’ve ever been to (and I’ve been to a lot). Brussel sprout plate was incredible. Peanut soup had just the right amount of kick. Fresh ingredients, plenty of seating, and a cool atmosphere. Too bad I live out of town, otherwise I’d be here every day!
Good spot for lunch for people working downtown. They always try new things and keep looking for feedback. Not exactly cheap for lunch, but tasty and staff is always helpful. I like their food and Ill keep coming back.
Im an omnivore and love this place. I was offered a meatball... God rest my grandpas soul but it was good as his lamb, pork and beef meatballs. Will definitely be going back for a sandwich.
Good food & drink. Not the best place to go if you’re running late to work. Just needed a quick coffee. (Wasn’t a ton of ppl there at the time, no line at all). All order takers are friendly and elaborate on Clover’s services which is great but after telling them you’ve already been there before and that you understand the ordering process they continue to use an elaborate introduction. After ordering a crash coffee, I waited until the next 2-3 people ordered and were presented with their orders. 2 employees came over to check in with me to make sure I was all set and I assured them I was just waiting for the coffee to come out. After almost ten minutes for a coffee that takes 2 seconds to put in a cup with ice I had to leave empty handed to get to work after already paying.I appreciate the quality food and attentive order service but maybe put more employees in the kitchen to get orders out 😩
Delicious vegetarian (and this is from a girl who is happy eating meat). Service is always friendly and quick.
A regular spot to visit for lunch. The crowd can be bananas, but the food is good and fast. Get there early for booth seats, but the main table usually has a chair or two free. I rarely get coffee here, but I live the impossible meatball sandwich. It’a legit life changing.
Delicious healthy menu with light choices for all weather.Casual atmosphere for relaxed eating equals a great stop. Easy walk in on Federal in Boston proper.
Delicious.I came to meet friends and have some lunch. I was greeted at the door and found the place to be open and clean.I had the carrot platter and a cup of Guatemalan coffee. Really niceI felt comfortable lingering and chatting with my friends.
Highlight of my vacation. Interesting takes on some of the menu choices. Very enjoyable experience
Great veggies/vegan place. Casual, bordering on ramshackle but real home cooked veggie and vegan dishes as I remember making them at home. Lovely if you want that comforting warmth.
Amazing and delicious food! Great service, environmentally friendly.
I dont remember this specific visit, but I have to say I have never been disappointed by Clover. I eat there pretty frequently and the food is always delicious.
They have such interesting vegetarian sandwiches and they are all delicious!
I eat plant based and Hubble is gluten free. Delicious choices for both of us and fresh single serving brewed coffee. Yummy 😋
The staff are amazing!! I am.both vegan and gluten free which they were able to help me find a dish that suited me! Food was given to me quickly and tasted incredible...highly recommend!!
The food here is amazing, I love the rotation of sandwiches. The hummus is the wicked best that I have found in the area & the pita is fresh daily. Do I need say more?
What they can do with a humble carrot will blow your mind. Delish. Great menu that changes relatively often. Vegetables that actually taste like vegetables. Where do they get tasty tomatoes in the dead of winter?
I struggled between 3 or 4 stars. Ive had some hit or miss moments for Clover (both food trucks and their brick and mortar restaurants). I love the concept, and it is great to have lunch options that are healthy and offer vegans, vegetarians and people (like me) who tries to limit their meat intake.I really enjoy their drinks, and their soups and chickpea fritters are great. Ive had some really delicious sandwiches, and Ive had some lackluster sandwiches. I ordered a pimento cheese sandwich (I dont think they have it anymore) and was highly disappointed to the point I threw most of it away. I grew up with pimento cheese sandwiches, so I might just be fussy, but it was tasteless. I understand what they were trying to do - a healthier take on the original - but I would recommend sticking with menu items that are unique to Clover, and try not to make healthier versions of other food, as it will always be disappointing. I go to Clover for fresh ingredients and new flavors Ive never experienced.
Delicious healthy options, and environmentally friendly. Wide selection of world coffees too.
Nice place of youre looking for a healthier option. I was there around 4 PM and there was no line but I heard it can get busy. My only complaint is that the eggplant was to oily.
I would normally give this place 5 stars, as their food has been incredible and freshly sourced. But I am writing this review due to some negative experiences and the apparent laziness of this location. I have gone to Clover every morning before work for coffee and a breakfast sandwich. This was a ritual for the last 5 months. I now even use the app so it is normally ready by the time I walk by. It was a good routine until recently.I have tried for weeks now to order the Cafe Au Lait with one of the flavors, and every time I am told they are out of the flavors. I spoke to someone who works their and she recently told me they have been too lazy to make them...WOW!! Take the coffee off the menu then, if you are too lazy to offer it consistently.Last time was the last straw. I used the app as usual to order my food and coffee. I walked in grabbed my sandwich and waited patiently for 10 minutes, while the gentleman made coffees for many other people. After a long wait, I asked the coffee maker where my coffee was and he said he cancelled the coffee order since they were out of syrup, as usual. He didn’t even have the decency to tell me they were out, as I waited patiently . Needless to say I was late to work that day due to the inept customer service skills of the coffee maker.Still love the food, but the staff needs to put in as much dedication as the owner of the company actually does.
The food at this place is great. They accidentally missed our order one time but we still got the food eventually and was even issued a refund. If you are near a clover during breakfast time get the breakfast sandwich, it does not disappoint.
Great spot to grab a bite for lunch. Their menu changes depending in whats in season. Their rosemary fries are good as well as their plantain sandwich. Lots of vegetarian options that are filling.
Food is amazing, original, fresh, and I can at least imagine that its healthy. Staff are friendly in an authentic way. And the space is nice too. Whats not to love?
This clover is a good place for lunch. I go to clover in general very regularly. The food tastes awesome. However the service during the weekends or after 3pm is inconsistent. It seems they use this time to train their new staff. Just today this Sunday I ordered a Hungarian Beet sandwich and they forgot to put in my walnuts. I went back and they sprinkled the walnuts on my half eaten sandwich after.Ive complained a couple of times before but the message never seems to get down to the workers. In the future, I hope management will install new processes that can help workers provide a more consistent experience, especially during the off hours.
Diabetic wife went low, and this was the only store open, nice people, good design for the restaurant. The food though... I mean... we are never coming back.
Very cool place and nice variety of dishes. Wish they had more vegan options
Got to love Clover and the freshly sourced ingredients in all made to order items.
Every meal that Ive eaten at Clover hasalways been great.
I love their chickpea fritters (similar to falafel). Their hummus is also really good! I typically have their chickpea fritter platter, but this time I opted for their chickpea fritter sandwich and was not disappointed. I was amazed to see a pita stuffed full of falafel, hummus and veggies. The service is quick, food is tasty and restaurant is bright and airy. Great value ($9 for this filling sandwich). This is the third or fourth time Ive been to the chain (at least twice at this location)
Great service with healthy and unusual options. Pop over breakfast sandwich is my go to!
I had a salad and my guests had a platter, very good delicious food and many good choices in a modern sparse atmosphere.
Innovative food and service. What the future of food can be. Worth checking out and learning.
Its all suitable for vegetarian/ vegan and their falafel platter was amazing....
Weak breakfast. I was hedge by clover staff to try the impossibly (bad) breakfast sandwich. It’s..terrible so I sent them a lighthearted private feedback laughing about what a joke it is - I mean look at this thing - and they told me that I was being aggressive and lots of other people like it.Have tried to bring my husband to Clover several times and he still hates it. He will be glad that we finally won’t be coming back.
Like this place. Good for vegetarians. Could have more options for vegans though
You cant go wrong with Clover - the best restaurant for people that demand whole foods and amazing flavor!
Fast actually healthy and absolutely delicious. Customer service is outstanding. I would highly recommend the chickpea platter!
One of the things I loved about the Clover of 5 years ago was that they wouldnt skimp on the portions, which is the norm for most health food places. These days tho, its just smaller sandwiches and less fries; at higher prices tho of course.
One of the best vegetarian options around downtown Boston. Do try the chickpea frittas sandwich. Also dont forget to ask for the white sauce.
The food is incredible. My favorite is the chickpea fritter sandwich. Service is quick, composting is the norm, and everything is vegetarian. I love Clover!
Pretty impressive drip coffee that doesn’t taste burnt at all. Had a dark roast that was pretty sweet and mild . Also, I tried the chickpea sandwich which was probably the beat falafel sandwich i have had in a very long time. Price at $9 bucks you definitely get what you pay for. They have the impossible meatball which I did not try because its not vegan. Which kind of pissed me off since they sort of promote that they are vegan but their menu has Vegetarian options. The whole point of the impossible burger is to be completely plant based. The only reason I am giving a 4 is because of that really dumb way to ruin the product. Other than that its pretty busy and you can tell people here flock to this place.
As with other locations of this vegetarian regional chain of fast-casual restaurants, the food is decent enough, reasonably priced, quite fresh, and tasty. But the acoustics are simply brutal - every surface is hard, everyone is shouting, there is terrible music blasting, and they are yelling out orders. So take note.
So healthy, yummy, such friendly and helpful staff! Really good for vegans too.
Food was as advertised! French beakfast sandwich, simple, tasty, satisfying! Lovely staff and ambiance. If you are at the Omni, great xhoice for ease and cost! :)
Its just ok. Had the BBQ seitan and a soup. Loved the concept, but have comment on the wasteful packages everything comes in - at the price, get a dishwasher and re-use. The plastics are biodegradable, but totally unnecessary.
Delicious and amazing to find farm to table in the city for such reasonable $$
The classic breakfast sandwich is actual perfection. Not wild about the fries though.
Fantastic food. Breakfast sandwiches are the best! Keep the sunchoke breakfast sandwich on the menu.
I LOVE clover. My one problem with this location is that the layout of the space is a little odd. They get slammed at lunch time so if you can make it to the DTX location for lunch, I would recommend going there instead.
Excellent sandwich, followed up by even better coffee.
Always great and nice variety with how they rotate menu. One of my favorite places as a vegan.
The Japanese sweet potato platter is very good.
Delicious, healthy, and interesting vegetarian lunch options packed with protein. Their signature chickpea sandwich is wonderful, as is the oyster mushroom sandwich.
Eat at clover all the time. Its like fast food but good for you and good for the planet.
Came here on a Sunday and there were only two staff. The food wasnt up to the standard Ive gotten from clover in the past. Soup tasted burnt, salads were bland, and the fries were cut absurdly short with not enough rosemary.I went to the clover in Burlington yesterday, the contrast was astounding.
Great for a quick vegan lunch
BBQ Seitan Sandwich is amazing. I also like their Mushroom sandwich. Service is very fast.
Loved the way they have made healthy choice more interesting to the taste buds
CloverFIN is becoming my fav place to eat at anytime of the day. The food is super fresh and delicious. Better for the environment than most restaurants.
BBQ seitan is a must try. Amazing options if you are vegetarian
Great vegan and vegetarian options and you can see them make your food with fresh ingredients and home made recipes
Fresh and tasty. Also nice atmosphere and great experience talking through food items with staff.
Great location, great food. Excellent coffee.
Go here. From the concept to the service, from the food to the coffee, it was a great experience. The impossible sausage patty (vegan) was indistinguishable from a meat based product.
PRETTY GOOD I HAD THE PANELLE AND IT WAS ABOVE AVERAGE MY CAT LIKED IT TOO AND I TRUST HIM
Was skeptical about plant based but loved it
The waitress from California is very nice and friendly. :) Excellent vegan options
This could have been a 5, but there were two main issues with my first ever Clover experience...The first was the coffee and the barista who forgot to pour my simple pre-brewed coffee. When I approached him, he gave me a really hard time and made me pull up my receipt on my phone after he watched me make the purchase! Then, finally looked at his device and realized he just missed my order. Very uncomfortable...The second was the breakfast sandwich. Omg it was so good!! But, this is supposed to be a high quality place and they left the top of the tomato in my sandwhich with the core... That should be the first piece in the trash in my non-chef opinion.
Love clover! Love the staff the food is great and good price
