WOW! This is by far the BEST repair shop I’ve ever stepped foot in.As a woman, auto repair shops can be a little overwhelming because I simply don’t understand the full extent of what’s happening and there’s a fear of being ripped off or taken advantage of that comes along with that, so I typically prefer not to go alone.With that being said, my fiancé was working and I had to go by myself. The moment I stepped into this shop, I was comfortable.I had called ahead to let Shady know I had routed the tow truck to his shop as the shop we were previously going to had been closed and I had no other options. He originally told me this may be a problem because he wasn’t going to be open the next two days so I may be waiting a long time. This was fine, I had no other options and understood.When I arrived, the tow truck still hadn’t arrived yet so Shady and I small talked, they have a BEAUTIFUL chameleon in the office that became the focus of our conversation. Shady was just a really nice, down to earth guy who was really easy to get along with. He was straight forward and honest and I trusted him almost immediately. He took great care of me.He figured out the problem quickly, got the parts needed and repaired my completely un-drivable car in 3 hours. I was amazed!!! He really went out of his way and made me a priority because he knew I had a child and relied heavily on my vehicle. His empathy for my situation really showed. His work was amazing, my car runs good as new!And to top it allllll off, he charged me an incredible, honest and fair price. He’s just amazing.My family and I will not be using any shops other than S&M. The service and the most importantly the mechanic themselves just don’t get better than this!

Had an unfortunate experience as Firestone leaving me with more problems than I started with, S and M auto center was more than kind enough to help find the problem and properly assess / fix the issue. This is the best experience I have had with their mechanic and crew. I would recommend going here for your car to get serviced. Honest mechanic and crew makes the experience worthwhile! Also great and fair prices!

I came through off of the strength of previous reviews. Shady was there bright and early and greeted me ready to help me out. I drove across the country and had a check engine light. He ran the computer on my car and told me straight out it was an oil change. Most other places would have probably tried to cheat me but he was completely honest and got the work done before lunch. I will definitely be coming back for further services.

Top notch service for prius & other Toyota products. They know Toyotas far better than dealers & charge a lot less. Theres no fancy lobby, but your vehicle gets serviced quckly & properly for a very faor & reasonable price.

The guys who work here and kind and honest with their work. As a younger girl, Im always nervous of taking my car into the mechanic for fear of getting ripped off, but I know Im in good hands when I come in to see Shadey and the crew.Ive had a couple of small things that needed fixing on my car and every time they take a little extra time to explain everything going on with my car to me. Really cant beat the customer service or the sense of security that comes from a great and honest mechanic.

Theres a stigma with auto mechanics. Shady is the mechanic you hope to find. He does good work and most importantly, is honest. Not only is he honest, but hes also a pleasure to interact with. I only take my wifes car to s&m auto. If he did German cars, I would bring in my car too.

The Best! HONEST, do a great job. Always mindful that Im a senior with limited income, the owner, Shady Shanouda, offers me economical options whenever possible. I trust him completely.

I finally find the perfect mechanic and I have to leave town! G-d why!?!?!? Seriously though I think this is the last honest one left. Ive never met one better. Knows your car inside and out. The other guys, well you need to head to the dealer blah blah blah give me your money.... This guy is the real deal. No games here and hes always helpful and thorough.

So glad to have found S&M after our nightmare scenario - battery light went on, windows stopped working, all dash lights start flashing, power steering gone. Was able to pull off the freeway into Camarillo Outlets and call AAA. They said our serpentine belt was snapped which meant we were dead in the water.We called a few places in town for that replacement (knowing full well that the belt was likely not an isolated problem) and found S&Ms price to be fair, great reviews, and they were within the 7 mile tow radius (#winning)!After inspecting our car, Shady (the S) let us know that a faulty water pump put the extra stress on our belt, leading to the snap. After googling costs for that, we got super scared, but their quote came back completely reasonable. He recommended other work we should have done (as soon as we could budget for that) but wasnt pushy and didnt come across as anything other than your friendly neighborhood mechanic who just wanted us and our car to be as safe and tip-top as possible.He even helped us pick up our car on off hours because we had work conflicts.Honestly, a dream of an experience after our nightmare scenario.Call around if you like, but Shady and S&M are our mechanic of choice in the greater Camarillo area, from here on out.

From the time I called S&M Auto, I knew I called the right place. I was greeted by friendly staff, wh set me up with an early morning appt for the next day. I brought my car in at 830, and the called at 937 with my estimate. They replaced my front axle, flushed out my brake system and added new fluid and checked my front end alignment. I was counting on spending an ungodly amount of money. I was pleasantly surprised when my car was ready before noon the next day AND I saved close to 400 bucks over previous estimates. I would recommend these guys to ANYone. They are the nicest gearheads EVER!
