Disgusted by the lack of customer service I received today. I live 4 minutes away from this location therefore I’m a frequent customer. Usually I use the self check out when it’s working but today I only had cash so I went to the register with the light on. There was no one there to cash me out, so I waited a few minutes. I then went in front of the office where 3 women were speaking and I asked to be checked out. By this time another gentlemen was waiting to be check out as well. A women in street clothes came to assist me but there was no money in the register and she could not. I walked to the other register where the light was off. There was a women folding clothes and going through a basket. When I walked up she did not acknowledge me and kept doing what she was doing. I said I need to be checked out. Another women walked to the registered I was initially at and started to ring up my items. I asked her who the manager was she stated she was. I explained it was no appropriate to have customers wait will 3 employees spoke in the office. She stated they were discussing the schedule. I informed her that was irrelevant customers come first. I asked her name and the other employees name and she gave me a fake name and told me she would not tell me the names of the other employees. I asked for her bosses name and she told me Kelly but she didn’t know her last name that she just started. There was a child standing beside her. I asked why were children in the workplace behind the counter. She stated it’s her son and she has permission for him to be there. When I got home I called the store to find out the managers name because I believed i was given a fake name. The manager answered and said her name was Darlenda this time. If you have to give fake names you are probably doing something wrong. Customer service In this location needs adjusting and keep children out of the workplace. If the employees were commission based I guarantee two customers would not have to wait while 3 employees spoke in the office.

Dollar General is someplace you can always find something you need and the prices are decent and you dont have to go to a store that is so crowded.

This Dollar General is pretty well stocked and the associates are friendly and helpful. Its also kept clean and swept. Definitely one of the better DGs in our area.

Staff is always polite even tho they are ridiculously understaffed

Even though new Florida law says all people must wear face masks in public places, this Dollar General refuses to follow law letting both employees and customers wear no face protection of any kind. Whats even more sad there was a lady in front of me in line without a face mask on declaring shes had covid19 and not one employee or manager did or said anything to this woman as shes turning in circles to look at everyone with her hands in the air and yelling she has had covid19 while she repeats this over and over.

This is the store I frequent most. My whole family does. Most times I go in there is long lines. Usually due to other clerk doing stocking and as soon as that clerk arrives the lines quickly goes down. Today it was because of the debit/credit card machine and people behind me was able to go ahead of me due to the fact they had cash or ebt. I normally don’t complain about these things but extremely upset about the fact dollar general not doing the upkeep on there machines and I am in pain stopping to get meds waiting in line to be pushed to the side for people who hopped in the line after me to be out

Its a Dollar General, ya know? Ive moved, its the closest place to pick up a few things... itll buff.

They have finally rebuilt and reopened the store. They tried to make it look like the last dollar Dollar general, but this one is much nicer. It appears to be a bit more spacious, but it could just be me. Anyone else think so also?

They could keep stock of what they sell out of better in in my opinion. Seems like be u would order more of that product.

The here have always been nice and polite. Im always greeted when I walk in. I noticed that they greet everyone. Im glad its not the generic greeting where the employees yell out welcome to _____! A simple hello/hi/how are you its perfect.This store is clean. At times, the aisles have stock sitting and waiting to be put up.The only setback is that more than once have I noticed a line forming and the other employees have no interest in assisting there coworker clear the line.

Located in the heart of Port St. Joe town a nice store with a food market inside. For the rest of the store is needing more cleaning and fixing on the shelves and more cashier on the line. It would be wise to call the store to fine out when their truck comes in so your not going without a food item or product. Their shelves are not always stocked which makes shopping a little unpleasant.

They always stalking shelves have to watch where u walk or knock somn over. Stuff outside use to be sale items nope all that junk is regular priced getting wet and sun fadded...and the Staff literally Yelling between isles and cashier about gossip and who is working what shift. Really!

Ladies were nice, store was just a clutter.

This will always be my #1 dollar general. Started my career here and still going strong! I love the people here they are a one of a kind family.

Not all the items as the D G Market, but most of what I needed.

They asked me to leave my backpack at the front register, normally I wouldnt have a problem with that, and in the past I have been happy to do so, but I drive an EBike sometimes and my battery pack is in my backpack I explained that my battery pack is 42 volt 51 amp hour battery pack and is worth a huge amount of money. I did not feel comfortable leaving over $1000 worth of battery pack by a register where anyone could grab it and she refused to let me enter. Kinda rediculous to expect me to leave it unattended like that.......

They pretty much have just about anything your looking for and usually at a reasonable price..

Clean store. Some changes in layout and products since my last visit. Prices typical for Dollar General. Staff friendly. Good visit today

I know they just opened, but, empty shelves, carts galor. And they dont carry my hair. spray anymore. Know it will get better.

Dollar General is fast, convenient and friendly. Always surprised with the wonderful things I find there. I go to Dollar General before shopping any where else. They Generally have what I need.

Always a friendly staff and great place to pickup those few items on the way home.

Well, they used to be open until 11pm for a couple months, but all of a sudden last night it was closed and tonight. So I go online and sure enough switched back to 10pm...um...I thought the open later thing was great. It rraly helped me out a lot so Im pretty disappointed because it may not seem like it but that one hour longer really did make a difference.

They get bigger and better they work hard and they make you feel like family

I love Dollar General, its like the a Macys store for us poor folks. Prices are always great and shelves are well stocked with a variety of foods and merchandise!!!!

I hate the wait time to check out but overall this is the only dollar general around. So the wait time goes pretty fast they try and still talk and be friendly but keep the line moving

The staff at this location are friendly and they are usually pretty fast even though there is almost always a line.

Convenient location, friendly and helpful staff but long queues and narrow aisles cluttered with inventory stocking carts every day. They have two registeres but only one in use most of the time. They need one more register. Several items always seem to be out of stock also.
