I had a pleasant conversation with Jason Trettel, Butler RV Sales Manager, after posting the below comments. My takeaway was that misunderstandings would be prevented with more open communication. I believe that RV customers should be given at least a few days to review options for GAP insurance, RV towing/tire coverage and extended warranty coverage since costs could be several thousand dollars. Customers need time to make informed decisions. I was mistaken that the extra $183.16 charge was for brake controller installation I thought I’d already paid for. Mr. Trettel explained that the charge, as the paperwork shows, was to replace an existing 7-way plug on my truck. I plan to use Butler RV for future service for my RV.We appreciate the salesman (JJ) matching us with a travel trailer to nicely fit our needs. Two techs from the service department (Norm and Samuel) were helpful and professional showing us how the various systems worked and setting up our vehicle for towing. There were a few glitches in the final sales process. I originally asked to put down $3,000 total including $500 earnest money when we first looked at the trailer two weeks before final purchase. That should have left $2,500 to complete the purchase but in fact the purchase docs required $3,000. Also, there was unneeded stress from last minute presentation of extended warranty information. In classic pressure sales fashion an answer had to be given immediately as to the desired level of extended warranty coverage. There were significant costs involved. It’s something I should have asked about earlier but on the other hand it would have been a nice touch if Butler RV would have offered a chance to review it before the purchase date. Lastly, I was surprised to have to pay $183.16 to “wire” the brake controller device I paid for in the original purchase. I had the impression that hitching/towing parts and labor costs were included in a $898 lump sum amount the salesman quoted when we first looked at the trailer two weeks previously. There was no discussion at that time of potential additional charges.

Scott was a knowledgeable and patient salesman and helped us find exactly what we were looking for. Its a busy time of year for them but they were able to get our camper to us in a decent amount of time.My only complaint is the detailing wasnt as thorough as I would have liked and I am missing a sink cover. In their defense, I bought a 2 year old camper, not a new one.I would definitely recommend Butler RV to others.

Everyone was helpful and made the experience buying the RV easy. All my questions we’re answered and the mechanic that set up hitch and RV was helpful with all my requests. One cabinet was missing staples to hold down shelf and he took care of it. The hot water tank cover on outside needed alignment and he took care of that also. I would return to Butler Rv.

Very friendly and courteous. Except a little too personal during phone conversation, slightly unprofessional. Also, if I hadnt had double checked the paperwork we would have had the wrong camper ordered for us. Once all of that was straightened out, we received acurate information and camper came in weeks before they estimated it would. Camper is great, havent taken it out yet but everything seems to be good so far.

I called Service to have my RV serviced under a warranty item. They said management has made a decision not to serve customers who didnt buy their RV from them on any warranty items. So, if you have just moved to the area and are hoping to have an authorized Keystone dealer service your RV for a warranty item, Butler RV is NOT your option.

Was told by JJ (a salesman) that I wouldn’t be serviced for any warranty work if I didn’t buy from them even though they are a highland ridge dealer. I then stated that I was pretty sure it was a requirement for all highland ridge dealers to do warranty work no matter where you buy. His response: “It is… but you’ll see, we won’t do the work”. Not sure if that was a scare tactic or not, but that said enough about the company. Went down to Meyers RV in Apollo and got a better price and a better experience.

Butler RV service department has been 100% extremely helpful and accommodating while helping us with some warranty issues that we had with our camper. John specifically has been top notch! We would recommend Butler RV to anyone!

Team at Butler RV had my trailer ready when promised and demonstrated a no hassle experience. The pricing was very fair, especially during this time of unavailability and price adjustments that I saw at other surrounding dealerships. We ordered a new camper in January. Butler RV Center delivered our camper on time at the agreed upon price. When one of the components for our fifth wheel hitch was delayed, they loaned us a hitch so that we take our camper on the vacation that we had scheduled. Upon our return, they installed our new hitch and took care of a few minor issues that we had with the new trailer. From sales to service, the people are knowledgeable and courteous. They have gone out of their way to help us.

We were just there to look at campers. We did the unlock the best price offer, yet they said that price was no longer good and even though I did it sitting in front of him and he did it in front of us and got the same price. The salesman kept spitting his chew in the garage over and over in front of us. Talk about professional (NOT)Very disappointed because we met these folks at the Pittsburgh RV show 2 years ago and came back to buy from them. Well they lost our sale and respect. First time to look at RVs and first time for my wife and kids to go inside one. I walked in sales office and nobody asked if I needed help. Then a gentleman asked me from the very last desk if I needed anything lol. Yeah I would like to see some. It was like I was bothering him. We drove an hour and was there for 20 min. He didn’t wear his mask. He wasn’t very polite or wanted to even make a sale. Don’t buy from here

I had been looking within a 500 mile radius for just the right RV and found it on the Butler RV Center website. Because these units are in high demand, Sonny and Jill arranged for a virtual FaceTime tour. It was almost as good as being there in person!!! We were just looking to see what was there and in our price range. The salesman that we dealt with was horrible. Wouldnt even give us the time of day till we told him the make, model and year of the vehicle we planned on towing 1 with. Then kept talking down to us like we were below him. Others have had good experiences there. But for us we will never go back there.

Worked with J.J. We told him everything we where looking for and what we wanted to spend. He showed us every travel trailer on there lot that fit our needs. Even nade sure they where light enough our vehicle would tow. Before we purchased they had a guy go over the complete trailer with us showing us everything we needed to do between winterizing and maintenance on it.

Found a Subaru listed as a flat tow vehicle on RV trader. Emailed the dealership and received a phone call the next day from what felt like a receptionist. She told me she couldnt answer my question and transferred me to a salesman who told me to call Subaru. Told him, thanks for nothing and will be purchasing a vehicle from a Subaru dealer soon. Why wouldnt the salesman either A. Know the information or B. Find out for me? Guess the salesman of today are just order takers. Sorry I bothered them with the question.

BEWARE IF YOURE DRIVING ANY DISTANCE TO LOOK AT A USED UNIT! I had been in contact with salesman Glen for well over a week in regards to the 1997 Starcraft you have for sale. I wanted to make sure it was in decent condition before I made the 5 hour round trip to see this unit. I asked blunt questions via email: Does everything work? Does it look like there are any signs of water damage. The response, and I quote: I didnt see any signs of water damage. There is a mildew smell which is typical for that old of a unit. Thats the carpet that does that. Due to the age, it is a cash sale and sold as-is. Folks, I didnt expect great condition for being a 20 year old camper. But what I saw was unbelievable. The entire rear corner of the roof had been so severely water damaged that the cabinets were falling down. The smell inside was unbearable. Anyone with an ounce of common sense would have seen this and responded to my questions accordingly. It was only after I asked Glen why he didnt tell me about the damage, that the unit turned into a Handyman Special A different salesman stopped us in the parking lot. He was well aware of the terrible condition of this unit and said that he wouldnt even show it to people. My time is valuable and Im out a whole day of driving and $50.00 in fuel, because of your dishonest salesman.

We recently purchased our first travel trailer from Butler RV Center at the Pittsburgh RV Show. Fortunately for us, our salesman was Sonny Fowler. From our first conversation with Sonny we made a connection. We appreciated that he was straight forward and not pretentious. Sonny was very professional, it was easy to see that he was very knowledgeable about the RV’s, but especially about the travel trailer we were purchasing. He easily answered all our questions and even answered some we never thought to ask.The staff at Butler RV Center walked us through the purchasing process, answered our questions and made the entire experience as easy as possible. Butler RV welcomed the financing bank to their office so that we only had to make one stop to finalize the paperwork, which made the process even easier.Something we did not expect was the to be scheduled “walk through” where we will spend time with a mechanic to learn the set up, take down and all things pertaining to our specific travel trailer. We don’t know if this is something that all RV centers offer but we are glad Butler RV Center offers this service. Such a service will enhance our experience with our new travel trailer.We also appreciate the Butler RV store. When we need hoses, filters, gauges etc, we can purchase them while getting advice from the knowledgeable staff, rather than purchasing from a box store and perhaps getting advice from someone not as knowledgeable about our RV.Butler RV Center and especially Sonny Fowler made our first travel trailer purchase as easy and stress less as possible. Traded our old camper in and bought a used camper. Sonny the salesman was great only one problem was we were told it would be cleaned inside and out but only the outside was cleaned. It was already pretty clean when we bought it. Just small Minor Details like dirt in the vents and a piece of paper that was on the floor when we looked at it was just picked up and set on the counter and the sink covers had dirt on them. Other than that very friendly staff and so far a great camper

Defiantly go here! I have been calling travel trailer repair shops for over an hour! Everyone is booked out 10 days to a month. Mike in the service department was the first person to try and trouble shoot my problem. In 10 minutes on the phone he was able to help us figure out the problem and order the part! We can pick it up tomorrow and we dont have to cancel our trip. Thank you Mike, you are a 5 star person and have made my 10 year old very happy!Word to the wise take your travel trailers in for inspections and maintenance long before you have a trip planned. Lesson learned the hard way. Cheers to good people and helpful mechanics!

Went to get a vehicle for my son. Was told sorry no credit. I have bought two vehicles there, in the past with no problems. The sales guy didnt even want to help. Went down to cruzin auto and got a great deal with a fabulous sales team. Never again Butler preowned. Definitely not for the people anymore.
